College is known to be one of the times in a young adult’s life when new beginnings and learning about your major and yourself is so important. But as semesters go on and classes, projects, club meetings, and sorority events make their way onto a student’s calendar, the balance of a college student’s life is essential to success and happiness. In this article, we will divulge a list of tips and tricks to help you and your friends balance college life so you can make the most out of your four years.

  1. Keep a detailed planner

One of the best ways to make sure that you never miss an assignment, meeting, or fun night with your sisters is to keep a detailed school/personal calendar. Sunday nights are a great time to review, plan, and prep before your fun-filled week begins!

  1. Prioritize your work

Keeping an updated to-do list is important as you move throughout the day. One thing that may help you navigate which task to accomplish first is to decide which three tasks are of the most weight and/or what is due the earliest.

  1. Maintain a healthy lifestyle

Your family, professors, and advisors may say your coursework is the first priority in your college career. Although that may be true to an extent, another number one priority is your health. Making sure you and your friends take breaks, creating time for healthy snacks or meals, and adding a fun plan to your calendar helps to maintain your overall health and wellness.

  1. Ask For Help When you Need It

If you ever find yourself meeting a few school-related difficulties, ask for assistance as soon as possible. That may involve reaching out to instructors to gain clarification on assignments, leveraging available tutoring services, accessing technical support, or attending appointments to improve writing skills. Being proactive about getting the help you need can save you a lot of time and energy in the long run.

  1. Rely on your support network

The sisterhood you are a part of is and will continue to be there for you. Leaning on your friends and family members is so important during stressful times. Communicating with those you care about regarding how you can best be supported is pivotal to your success as a student and young adult.
