Notification squad hit the notification bell down there today we’re going to be talking about paper versus made I’ve been getting this question a lot on Instagram snapchat what’s the differences should i be aware of anything I’m gonna tell y’all my perspective on it and what I think and let’s get into the video All right so first we’re gonna talk about all the people that is paper I’m just playing first we’re gonna talk about the definition of paper man like why people call people paper why people be throwing paper in probations this and that so we’re gonna get it to that
People think you don’t earn your letters they call people paper like you just sign application and then turn it in that’s what people think nowadays the process isn’t what it used to be back in the day it’s very different you know the intake process is different nowadays so it’s not the Pledge process
It’s the intake process so with the intake process you’re doing way more different things than what took place in the pledge process so I don’t see the argument for why people would call a certain organization paper you don’t know how long they’ve been on the intake
Process you don’t know what all they do want to intake process its just sheets a PC she said he says she’s sick y’all know what I’m talking about it’s like you’re putting people into a box like you’re putting people in a certain category when you call first when other MPs you organization’s call
Other organizations paper hey we’re part of the same council why are we trying to demean each other why are we trying to put each other down which should be bringing each other up we shouldn’t be trying to make the vision within MPAC you’re not saying because we’re all
Supposed to come together we all supposed to come to this common goal of helping our community and making ourselves leaders and becoming an asset to the community but if somebody is arguing about oh that organization is paper or that organization is maybe like that’s just making our council as MPAC
Divided like that’s gonna show two interest that’s gonna show to other people that’s interested in the organization’s like why are they like this is petty like it is petty most of time is other NPHC organizations that’s calling another organization paper I don’t understand why I just don’t understand why because nowadays nobody
Should be called paper hazing do not take place like how it used to even if hazing is going on is not like how used to be back in the day I can tell you the process back in the day we groove the Pledge process was brutal nowadays the process is half this what
It was everybody should be considered paper at that point if you think about it but no some people try to say oh we didn’t do an art process that makes us more tough that makes us more hard we harder than y’all like come on no no no
No that’s my sum up of paper is when people think you didn’t earn your letters when you just fill out the application you just walked away into the organization that’s what people think as people say oh I made that mean they went through the process the way it
Was back in the day so maybe they got hazed and maybe they have to work more for their letters and now they feel like they definitely belong to the organization cuz they put in so much work to get there so that’s when people say when they’re maybe well maybe they
Even went to a underground process to make sure that when they cross they’ll be considered made think about this though the made members build out the same application the paper members filled out the made members are wearing the same letters the paper members are wearing the made members are still in
The same organizations as the paper members the only thing difference is you consider yourself made like why are you put yourself through all of this when you’re going to wear the same letters when you’re gonna wear the same you’re gonna be in the same organizations you’re gonna move like wow
Why why does it matter you’re coming together as one is what matters not you being paper not you being made not somebody doing this during the process and somebody do it don’t matter y’all all should come together and be one Union when you have somebody saying oh this person they’re
My organization’s paper and I made and that’s the vision within the organization then at that point it’s like now you’re soloing yourself out like you’re making yourself seem up here when this person’s down here when y’all cross that the same exact time but they might be putting more work into the
Organization than the main members most likely and this is the thing that I don’t get a lot of times when people say oh I made those made members just letter we’re saying they’re not on the exact board they’re not putting in work once they get into the organization yeah
Maybe you put in some extra work to get into the organization but once you actually get into organization you ain’t putting no damn work you just sitting there wearing letter then what’s the point of being made like I just don’t get it y’all is I don’t get I’m pretty
Sure y’all don’t get it but but that’s my take on it I just don’t understand why people put in a vision within their organizations or within a PA see I think made and papers should just go away everybody join joins and the real work comes in when you actually get into the
Organization a lot of times when people say somebody’s paper they get into organization become presidents they can the organization become on exec board they’re making an impact within the chapter and within an organization wider made members just sitting there wearing letters just showing up to parties and
Not doing nothing like it don’t make sense y’all so when you hear somebody say oh I’m me I did this I went through the underground process oh I did this and y’all tell them to shut up just shut up because it don’t make no sense you’re wearing the same letters you took the
Same oath you read the same Constitution you insane like it don’t matter maybe versus paper is something really internal ain’t nobody really gonna know unless you tell body so if you have the option of what you actually get on the intake process if a member of that orders they say a
Which one of y’all want to go through real process and be made don’t raise your hand it’s a waste of time it’s a waste of time because our founding members of these organizations did not create our organizations to have a made process and have a paper process and have division within the organization’s
All these founders in 1908 1914 1906 1913 like all these founders ain’t had none of this in mind when they created these organizations it created these organizations because they want us to be an impact to the community impacts our campus figure out what our campus need
And provide to our campus and to the world itself not for people to come into our organizations and say ok we’re gonna divide it up a little bit we gonna make sure these made people give this and that we’re gonna make sure these paper people just getting this and that don’t
Do it you have an option of some organization saying hey we got a paper process and we got a pledge process for the made people I wouldn’t even want to be a part of that to be honest because it just don’t make sense so make sure your choose wisely just make sure you
Choose why and then I’m gonna just put like this to g-d eyes they’d be like oh damn personal paper but they don’t know what this person is doing in the community in the chapter and then they see them a person at our parties and all the cookouts strolling just wearing
Letters and think they actually quitting work but they really not [Applause] that’s my rant because I hear this a lot in my comment section people instagramming me snapped me these questions because this is something that our organization is struggling with so many people want to go back to their old
Ways and do things the old way and then when people decide they want to do the old way oh they may and then people do it a new way to intake process way old a paper I just came man people people these days just get on my
