Good afternoon it’s d bailey here again hope everyone is well if you’re new to the channel i ask that you please subscribe jam that subscribe button click the notification bell hit the like button give me the thumbs up and of course i would love to hear your feedback and your comments
Let me know where you’re from let me know your thoughts on this content all right so really quick my last few videos have been letters to young men messages to young men focusing on manhood i’m gonna be on this topic for a while guys because it’s extremely important
It’s something that our society our communities are lacking right now we need strong community pillars and our young men have been tasked with that and i want to make sure that they’re well equipped and i want to use my experiences my developments and my education to give that back to you guys
All right i ask that you value it all right so manhood a lot of you are at the crux of manhood and adolescence okay but when i say manhood i mean in the sense of age okay don’t let that deter you don’t let that give you a false sense of i’ve arrived
All right manhood is something considered we have our definitions of what manhood is however manhood that title is issued to you by your peer group that title is issued to you by your elders that title is issued to you by those that have come before you okay
It’s not given to you by the opposite sex never let a woman tell you that you’re not a man or dictate when you’ve become a man shut it down immediately okay but my point here manhood manhood should be a rite of passage okay it should be a big deal
It should be focused on your transition all right for example at the age of 20 years old by the age of 20 years old i had two sons okay i had two infant sons toddler and infant sons they’re grown boys that grow men now all right but at 20 years old i had
Those two sons i was not married that year i joined the marine corps okay that was a big deal at 21 i became a prince hall freemason okay so at 20 i joined the world’s most elite fighting force a year later i joined a community worldwide community organization focused on brotherhood all right
The reason i say becoming a man requires a rite of passage what that does is it creates a big deal okay it creates an experience focused on you by your peers by your elders letting you know that you’ve arrived whenever that happens it’s something that you never forget
Okay give you a sense of identity a sense of belonging okay and even greater if that organization is focused on public service or worldwide worldwide service you have that to fall on you have that to to call your own okay um you’re coming to prince off freemason
What that did for me put me among older gentlemen serving our community focused on god focused on service to fellow man focus on widows and orphans okay this organization i spent quite a bit of my time learning the ideas of manhood but as i mentioned in other videos
Manhood is an ongoing process okay more so a growth process become a man you continue to grow as a man these organizations provide a sense of community brotherhood okay and belonging in addition to that identity identity is a big deal guys it gives you that confidence that you need to know
Who you are okay and convey to the world that you know who you are all right so again becoming a man requires a rite of passage it draws the line between where you were for the last 15 16 17 18 years it draws a line between that and your past
And it lets you know it creates a fine line to where you’re going and what your duties and your your purposes are as a man all right i hope this helped guys again please be sure to subscribe definitely share this video hit that notification bell thumbs up and
Let’s hear where you’re from guys let’s hear where you’re from go have a great day
