Joining a greek organization so listen up right if you want to join a greek organization this video is for you yes and if you don’t you just want to be informed keep watching your family but if you’re aspiring to be a part of any other organization that makes you attend and
Listen to each and every uh one of these tips and you’re going to be better off when it comes time to doing the or what i’m saying a shout out all right so number one gpa so with gpa every chat that has a certain requirement you feel me some might be
Two five might be two seven but you want your dp to be as high as possible you don’t even want to be right there at that you feel me that minimum requirement because i mean you want to get yourself the best chance of you feeling me getting into the organization so you
Got to go above and beyond so you want to head that three you mean three oh right three five stuff like that but your gpa is gonna be the first thing you look at you ain’t gonna be considered you feeling me if your gpa not meeting that requirement level right and you don’t
Want to just be joining the organization like just because like they look at all of that like if you’re not passing your classes then you don’t need to be trying to worry about organization anyway so yeah even if you get in with that mineral crime it’s gonna be hard your family because
You’re gonna wanna i mean you’re gonna have to keep your gpa still you feel me above that that level but now you got this greek organization you’re trying to balance with it your family so they want to make sure you’re able to balance that while keeping your grades up so yeah you you
Got great grades great that’s the number one thing great that’s what you’re in school for anyway so make sure your gpa is good okay all right so number two you feel me know that when you join the greek life organization you’re always going to be associated and representing that organization you know
What i’m saying so it’s not just kendrick no more as kendrick the alpha did there so kenya aka did that so whether it’s good or bad the decisions that you’re making that you think not really you feel me it affects the chapter right so it’s always everybody is looking at especially like
If you become greek like because there’s a lot of other people who want to be greek too so they looking at you or they looking up to you and they want to be a part of your organization just know that your family is it’s no longer just a moment on me
Now you represent the organization now so you got to watch how you walk watch how you talk stuff like that okay when you still be yourself still do it you do have fun at your family but you just gotta make make sure you’re making good decisions because you’re always going
You shouldn’t be representing that organization so know that before you join right know that it’s bigger than you right and speaking of being yourself that brings me to our third point staying yourself when you become greek you do not have to change always remain the same so the friends that you
Had before you joined whatever organization make sure you keep your same friend don’t feel like you know just because i joined my organization i have to kick my friends to the curb or whatever if you was in another organization before you got to this organization say you in
Naacp or another or that don’t mean you have to quit your other organizations right right so stay yourself just continue being here your family that’s why that’s how you got into organization being yourself you feel me so just continue being you when you get into the organization like don’t
Change up don’t think you better than nobody you know what i’m saying like don’t don’t do that that’s mine don’t do none of that stuff just continue being yourself and you your family you’ll be out so number four being in the greek ladder organization cool it’s fun you fail movie party and
All that but it’s also work don’t come in and think you’re not gonna be doing no work you know what i’m saying you’re gonna be out here on community service mm-hmm because you want to be putting events together chairing events and taking on all these roles and responsibilities
That’s that’s what you’re here for at the end of the day working you know what i’m saying it’s not just everybody see the cool stuff outside looking in but when you get into the organization it’s not just about the parties it’s work too you you party after the work after the
Service because that’s what you there’s definitely is definitely a lot of partying it’s a lot of partying you’re saying that’s what a lot of people see what i’m saying that’s that’s the cool stuff that’s the that’s the sexy stuff you know what i’m saying the work the work not the sexy stuff
Yeah i know his work you know you don’t put in work i mean you you and me all right but just know that coming in it’s not just right it’s not just family party step shows and strolling right all that stuff is fun too but just make sure you’re doing work besides
Know that before you join the organization number five get it out okay so number five is beyond college right so when you join the organization it’s not gonna just be in college like you’re not joining aka or delta or whatever you want to join it’s not going to just be college it’s
Going to be beyond college so you got your graduate chapter and see a lot of people don’t know that like you know what i’m saying like a lot of people just think that being greek stopped you feeling me at that college like once you graduate you’re done with it but it’s a lifetime
Commitment you feel me like it’s a lifetime organization you can join in college or you can join after college you don’t have to join in college yeah a lot of people don’t know that too yeah you don’t have to be in college as long as you graduate and yeah you can
Be a part of a great chat you can be a part of a graduate program a graduate chapter i would just say do your research and that’s it yeah like i said it’s a lifetime thing so a lot of people don’t know that and last but certainly
Not excuse me and last but certainly not least greek unity okay at the end of the day just because you join whatever organization you join don’t mean you have you can’t support other groups right so you might want to attend their event not just have your events support other greeks
Yeah people you know i mean be thinking like this could be part of what organization you can’t be cool be friends or be your family with other organizations like these not gangs you know what i’m saying we’re not beefing with other organizations we are one we are under the family divine nine
Like that’s us you feel me so if you’re joining a divine knowledge yeah so uh yeah you don’t gotta be for other organizations just because i’ll take different routes if you got a friend who want to be a cap or you want to be a sigma
Yeah i can still be friends at y’all you family right what y’all do you can still be best friends right now i’m saying we uh we all won at the end of the day we all stand for the same thing believe it or not with that being said make sure you take
Everything we said gpa stay in yourself greet unity um whatever you say you represent the organization and whatever else we said make sure you just take it and apply it and you know have fun with it being greek is fun but um just make sure you join it for all the right reasons
