John spencer christopher stephen strickland i know i would be in a leadership position but um didn’t know what that was going to be yet but found the president be a great way to explain my leadership skills and to tackle certain problems and situations that you might not see in other
Positions my age or in other organizations but i found an opportunity to kind of take a chapter you know to a place where i was wanting it to go um just hold accountability for people but yeah i just i felt like i was the best person to take ato whereas now
At the time um before joining the chapter um i wanted to join something bigger than myself and getting initiated into the chapter and building my way up through the exec board ladder i’d say that the president was definitely the easiest option that i have that chapter still stay bigger than myself and
You know i want to take every opportunity to help this chapter in any way possible and this president is the best way ato was just very unique because whenever i whenever i was coming into it i thought it would just be a bunch of guys like looking at copy and paste like same
Looking guy same personality everything like that but i was very humbly proved wrong whenever i you know got around the guys and stuff i realized that it’s a very diverse group of guys and along with that comes you know people are not always agreeing on things
But at the end of the day you know that diversity brings us even closer and i hope the rest of the fraternities on campus can do the same thing because you know copy and paste and being boring is boring uh the diversity of brothers they all come from different backgrounds
Different experiences especially high school experiences and come to notice that we are all just very different people but we all do have a love for the brotherhood and uh similar activities that we all like to take part in um but i would definitely go with the diversity
If i get along we’re all very different um like i said before is a lot bigger than i am not only is it you know building connections but it’s a lifelong thing um and growing up i never really had a brother to like talk to about things if i ever had any problems
Or anything like that um i’ve had sisters to talk to but to a certain extent so having that brother at the back to get me through things that’s that’s what it means to me um
