On July 26, 2023, current and former staff gathered to celebrate Laurie Rosenberger as she bid farewell to Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters, where she has served for thirty-five years. Laurie joined the General Headquarters staff in 1988 and is retiring later this summer. As executive assistant, she supported the executive vice president, Foundation president, chief operating officer, and the General Council and Foundation Trustees. She managed the General Headquarters office and maintained various Headquarters records and archives, as well as policy and procedural information.

“As a Headquarters staff member for over thirty years, I’ve observed many young Phis grow into their roles as staff members and develop into successful professionals. This is what Phi Delta Theta strives to afford all its members through their Fraternity experience. It’s rewarding to watch them thrive and pursue their endeavors with confidence and enthusiasm.” Laurie shared.

Laurie and her husband, David, live in rural Indiana on a family-operated farm and have two adult sons, Alex and Rob. She enjoys art, antiques, Italian cuisine, and spending time with family. Congratulations on your retirement, Laurie!

Cynthia Buresh will take over as Executive Assistant & Human Resources Specialist this fall. Cynthia first came on staff with the Phi Delta Theta Foundation in 2013, bringing ten years of nonprofit experience in corporate communications, income development, marketing, and business and donor relations after being employed with the American Cancer Society and Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

In 2016 she joined the accounting department with the Fraternity as the accounts payable and human resources specialist, which she held until the spring of 2023. While keeping the human resources specialist title, she has transitioned and now also serves as the executive assistant to the executive vice president and Foundation president, as Laurie Rosenberger retires. Cynthia has a passion for people, Phi Delta Theta’s mission, the work currently being done, and all that will be accomplished in the future. In this new role, she looks forward to the relationships she has the opportunity to steward while providing positive interactions and making a meaningful impact.

Cynthia graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a BS in Business Management, a minor in healthcare administration, and a certificate in accounting. She and her husband, Kyle, live in Indiana with their three children—twins, Avery and Aniston, and son, Beau.
