Auditorium Lyonne 92.7 FM mr. Boyd Nisha fact on the air with my lovely ladies from the Devon I’m say name already incorporated so my soul is out there this is Kiara from lambda Alpha chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority incorporated and we have this now it started getting
A little heated behind the scenes over here the topic of what like how have social networking sites positively and negatively affected the image and reputation of your organizations because Twitter Facebook whether we like it or not that helps set the molds for what your image is as an organization people
Yes you are individuals but at the same time once you get those letters once you get your letters you represent your organizations still like how do you feel when people say like Twitter and Facebook are ruining your image I feel like Twitter and Facebook could be your best friend or your worst enemy
Depending on how you use it I feel like lately it’s been the worst interview enemy of come out of us for most of our organizations but it’s all in how you use it yeah I completely agree I think that amber says something that was really good when we were just
Talking off the air but honestly there are just a lot of people that are in situations that aren’t any of their business like people placing themselves in each of our organizations like issues and that’s not to say that we are not an issue with that there are certain people
That should have know certain things but you know it’s a public forum you have a right to your opinion at the same time there’s just no respect or nothing like that even if you know something and you think you know something you know what I mean
It’s not your business to say it because if somebody come at your neck you can’t take it so here I feel like it’s just a lot of instigation like a lot of these people have nothing to do with the organization have nothing to do with the situation they just want to put their
Two cents gasps it you know get a reaction out of people and they get it I mean they succeed now we have a caller don’t we has something to say call you’re on the air hi my name is Mikey hey you have a question what’s the
Question well I have a request to the people over a mezzanine okay I would like them to bring in brandy no brandy relevé yeah actually no it’s my you know but yeah ladies um I wonder if you guys realize how impactful you guys actually are as far as the image of the black
Female at Penn State do you guys realize that so um how you guys plan on like upholding that image you know what the remainder semester or you know for the continuation of the school year or anything that’s like really triggered that question like any kind of cattiness
Or whatever like say well you guys went over like the Twitter instances and I’m just like trying to figure out how they can um you know prevent it but you know in the future you know question Thank You Keith no problem thank you individual level you know you can’t
Expect the whole organization to start at one point in time have a meeting about it and boom it happens I thought it has to start one person to the next to the next and gradually I mean we will eventually reach that goal of where there’s I mean everyone’s not gonna be
Everyone’s best friend like I said before but we will reach that point where it’s an equal level of respect that we just have for each other and for other organizations that are not our own sure um well I’m actually not from this campus but I can just yeah just in general I think
That the best thing that can be done about representing yourself is just realizing that would you want your child to be looking at you like that like I know we’re young and somebody there but there’s some people that have children you know I’m saying we’re getting this big kids we look back on
This like the one thing that people are forgetting is that the times are difference in the parents that we had you know we have pictures on Facebook conversations saved on Twitter our children are gonna be able to go access little us and ask us why did you say that you know I’m saying
You
