How to compose a good letter of interest into for for the organization that you’re trying to become a part of um i have my letter of interest that i submitted with my application when i was trying to become a part of the luxurious alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporated
Still on my computer i am like just reading this it’s pretty amazing like i can’t believe that like i’m actually a part of this organization it was really a dream of mine and so i’m just going to be giving you guys some pointers some tips some tricks of
What to include in your to include in your letter and all that good stuff and then i’m gonna well of course i’m gonna read mine some of mine to see well to give you guys you know the type of information that you should include okay so um everybody knows
This is the most important part of your application they do read this especially if you’re not like well known on campus or they don’t really know who you are this uh help you out a lot but if they do know who you are and you are well known on campus it’s
Good to include you know your um qualities as far as like if you are in a leadership position include that in your letter your community service like a little bit about yourself just to give them a background who you really are this letter is supposed to be really personal
And so try to make it as personal as possible be true to yourself when you’re conducting well when you’re composing this letter because it gives them a little hint of who you really are and just like really be vulnerable about everything so what you want to start with is dear luxurious
The chapter’s name blase blase and then of alpha kappa alpha story to incorporate it comma and the first part you want to let them know who you are for example i said i am aisha brown i’m 22 years of age and currently a senior at blank school i was raised in a small
Town known as blank in northeast georgia since transferring to blank school i have been intrigued by your organization sisterhood service and scholastics you see i covered some of that stuff in there like what they stand behind just a little bit i am interested in becoming a member of
Because i feel that my core values align greatly with the mission of alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporated i feel that it is very important to foster and inspire academic excellence moral principles sisterhood and to ensure all aspects of mankind are being serviced because y’all know alpha kappa
Alpha sorority incorporated is big on a service to all mankind so that’s just the gist of the beginning part i talked about myself a little bit i gave them a little bit about my background where i’m from and why i want to become a part of this particular organization
So the next section you want to discuss your community service your leadership positions like what have you did in the community what positions do you hold on campus like your titles like this is where you brag about yourself just a tad bit don’t be all extra be very arrogant and conceited no
Just brag about yourself a little bit because i mean if they don’t know now they know that oh she’s really active on campus or he’s really active on campus so just to just uh what i included in my second paragraph is moreover i said more ever
I mean moreover i have a passion for servicing others and giving back to my community as much as possible being from a small small town community is extremely important to me during my time here at so-and-so university i have been given the opportunity to become a part of a variety of student organizations
Such as have habitat for humanity lake orientation leader and campus event council as a member of the campus event council i volunteer implement planning for major events held around campus i also would like to mention that i am currently a laker orientation leader this position has not only given me a
Great opportunity to serve campus but is also develop my leadership communication and public speaking skills as the lead i welcome new students assisting registering them from classes and also conduct tours around our lovely campus specifically mentioned habitat for humanity which i hold dears to my heart after joining a general member
With hard work and dedication i became and currently am the president this organization has been one of the most prosperous choices that i have made since arriving on campus it has humbled me as a person and ignited my fire to passionately to provide service to my community i started volunteering to participate in
Service projects by improving the community through home repairs building painting homes and trash pickup this position has also tested my leadership skills it gave me a new perspective of leadership and what it truly means to serve others first and i know it sounds like it’s a lot yes i brag
About myself but i didn’t go overboard i spoke nothing but facts and so that’s what you want to do in your second paragraph is talk about yourself and what type of um titles you help how will hold on campus like it’s okay to be a little braggy that’s
What you’re gonna do in the next this paragraph like that’s why i say it’s really important for you guys to make sure you’re involved in your community to make sure that you’re involved in your campus because when you’re writing your letter um your letter you can talk about it
I would rather read a letter where someone is holding leadership positions holding titles um serving their community doing community service then reading some a letter that doesn’t include any of that who do you think i’m gonna pick i’m gonna pick the person that’s involved in their community
Over someone who’s not at all or someone who’s involved on campus than someone who doesn’t so you gotta really make sure your letter is really good and go get those leadership positions be involved in in your um on your campus and in your community and then the last paragraph is basically
Is to tell the organization why do you want to be a part of this organization what can you bring to this organization how would this organization know how would you affect this organization in a positive light just the gist of what mine says is to be a part of this
A luxury sorority of alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporation i know one must possess strong qualities and talents one of the many qualities i possess is ambition i have set short-term and long-term goals that i will accomplish no matter how difficult the task may seem one goal that i will be reaching soon is
Becoming the first college graduate in my family in may 2017. kudos to me the role hasn’t been easy there haven’t been there have been minor setbacks but that has not stopped me another distinguishable quality that i have is the passion to serve others i feel very strongly
About lending a helping hand no matter how big or immense happiness these are simply but a couple of my top qualities that would benefit the purpose of alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporated if given the opportunity i will make it my personal mission to go above and beyond the call of sisterhood
Service to all mankind and upkeeping the tradition of academic excellence thank you for your time and consideration and understanding my interest in alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporated that was my letter if you guys can see it’s uh it’s not even that long i think you i
Think that meant you have to keep it at a page so you don’t have to go into much detail keep it cute keep it classy keep it clean because when you’re doing too much we notice so don’t do too much it like i said before brag about yourself a world
What can you offer the organization make sure you include that in your letter and talk about yourself like your upbringing where you came from but don’t go into detail was just like okay this person is talking too much they doing too much because we know when you’re doing too much
You don’t want to do too much you don’t want your letter to get thrown out because you’re doing too much so just keep it cute and costly and just make sure you incorporate you don’t have to do the word for word model for example like how i include service to all mankind
Aka is all about service to all mankind i include that in my letters so you can do the same which for whatever organization you’re trying to join just make it flow don’t force it in there just make it flow into your letter and you should be good and if you guys
Um would like to send me your email me your letters when you’re about to do um brush or intake i’ll read over them and i will be like hey i think you should include something else or take this out if you just want a second set of eyes
