Don’ts when you get axed we’re not axed but when you have been invited to a informational or you have seen an informational posted somewhere like ok I saw it online or I saw it on campus or you know wherever it may have been that
You saw now I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated I love mazi Phi to death and I’m serious about my business even though I am a member of that one organization I will be talking very broad across this can’t go to any organization that you might be
Looking into so I don’t want you thinking I’m speaking for them but I’m just speaking overall in general tips that I know will help you be more successful at a organizations informational versus you go in there and you’re doing these exact same things that I’m about to tell you please don’t
Do unless you want to get yourselves blackballed and end up not being in anybody organization because you’d have messed up your chances from Joe with that saying we’re gonna get right into this I don’t know waste your time now I’m gonna go through the five do’s first so
You’ll know what is acceptable and then and we’ll go into the don’ts after do dress professional do come in looking like you’re about your business this is for undergrad or if you want to come in as a graduate member meaning you already have a four-year college degree please
Make sure you come in looking apart don’t come in with some dirty v-neck own or some crumpled up sweater uh ngayon clothes looking unkempt nobody looked check it for you if you don’t even care about your looks what makes you think somebody gonna invite you in today
Organization look in the way you look these are no finishing schools we aren’t here to get you right your job is to be right when you approach them because guess what almost every organization has been here for almost a hundred years and if you don’t have anything that’s going
To offer us to send or push us forward into the next 100 years you’re wasting your time because we ain’t gonna be checking for you number two do come ready to ask questions no question is a dumb question I know a lot of people are like I’d be
Scared to ask if you don’t know when in doubt just ask nobody’s gonna bite your head off if you are really serious about a question ask whether you pull so on to the side whether you ask them during the Q&A section of the informational acts your question remember close enough does
Not get fed number three do be honest with yourself if you go in here and then you meet some of the members and you’re talking and you’re hearing things that may not appeal to you be honest and be like okay this isn’t for me do not waste your time or that organizations time
Because guess what there’s meaning other people who would love to be in these organizations and there’s also people who think that they don’t belong and that’s okay too but I don’t want you to feel like you have to join something nobody is out here trying to force you
To do anything that you do not want to do and on top of that joining these organizations is actually a privilege you know everyone is not meant to be that everyone will not be these organizations so if this is something that you figured out is not for you please be honest with yourself
And let yourself know and let the people who are in that organizational as well and for to do it is okay to eat and drink I’ve seen a lot of people come to information else and they’re scared to eat they’re scared to access it okay can
I go and get something from the you know beverage section and I’m like it’s okay nobody is telling you you can’t eat or we’re gonna judge you or any of that if there’s some snacks there there’s some refreshments there y’all better go ahead with the go ahead now that came out of
Somebody budget somebody paid for that y’all need to go eat and drink that stuff up so it’ll be used the way it was intended to be y’all then I’ll be sittin up in there being thirsty do number five do be invested and do be serious if this is something that you want don’t
Come in there playing games make sure that you already have stuff planned you pretty much know all the information out there that’s available you’re just trying to find out specific information to that chapter or yeah that chapter that you’re trying to join with so don’t feel that oh they’re gonna tell me
Everything in the world no that’s not their job their job is to just give you the basic information about their organization their chapter and to give you a better idea of what they do make sure you are serious this is serious like this is not a game and I don’t want
You to go in thinking this is foreplay believe it or not there are a lot of people who do try to join these organizations and they do get turned down because some people feel that they aren’t serious about it and what I’m saying do be serious do make sure that
You show them that you are invested and you do want to be a member because there are some people who do want to be members but they aren’t picked so please make sure that people know that you are serious and you are about the business now these are the five don’ts and again
I’m just trying to give you a heads up hey you can do exact the opposite and you can see what will turn out dunk number one don’t come to the information on looking all gaudy when I say gaudy don’t have on a million pieces of jewelry especially bangles that make all

Business don’t number two do not come in there believe in everything you’ve heard about organizations there are so many untrue things that people try to attach to certain sororities like or fraternities in general so for examples there are always examples for example they always trying to say old aks
They’re skaters they they skate they way any organizations the deltas are you know they just extra get oh the Zetas they fat they always try to eat the SG rose oh who are they you know don’t nobody care about them stop listening to what you hear other people say come in
And figure out are these people that you want to identify with figure out on your own do not let other people make that choice for you because you know what listen and other people can possibly talk yourself out of something that could actually be one of the best decisions in your life
Number three do not I repeat do not and this is especially specific to Zetas and Zetas only do not come an informational asking us about Sigma’s do not do not do not the only thing we will tell you about Sigma’s is that they are our fraternity brothers we are the

Organizations do the nine organizations we do more than party now trust we get our party on us that’s just part of what it is but do not think that is what we are founded on period don’t number five and this is the most important one I
Should have put as number one do not come into that organizations informational with their colors on boo-boo you are not in our organization do not look like them you know what I’m saying the best thing you can do is be neutral black and white you can never go
