Speaking of speaking of all this going on behind me uh I went to Temple to Knob Creek on Saturday and I got the I I joined The Grotto I I joined Del Texas Grotto and they did the full degree which is like like a seven part ceremony or degree or whatever it’s it’s
More like a complete really but it’s the first time and I think they said like 20 years it was done in Texas and it’s pretty cool uh nice I will go into detail obviously um I don’t know when they plan on doing it again if ever but it’s it’s it’s
Definitely worth going to if you’re ever if I mean if you’re in Grotto or if you’re ever thinking about going to Grotto either way it’s worth seeing uh I I talk to people that were there that had been in Grotto for for quite a while and they had never seen it
So they were they were pretty much just kind of you know well that’s like that’s like a lot of a lot of AMD members you know they every one of the AMD councils has their own degree that they’re associated with and very not very many of them actually perform their own degree on
Their brothers they uh they just give them a Hail Mary and and then tell them to go to a d day in Waco so they can see the degree happen by somebody else yeah you know it’s unfortunate kind of punting it off it is
It is that’s why I’m so proud of our AMD Council because we uh we perform the degree on every one of the the initiates that we have that’s good it’s really good uh let’s see uh Oscar wants to know what tonight’s topic is uh TBA man TBA let’s see um

This actually was came from a uh Himalayan glacier at the uh at the very Summit at Mount Everest and it was it was blessed by Inuit shaman so it is uh it is the purest coldest and most refreshing water uh ever Dennis is the heavy metal generation

That’s that’s a pretty interesting topic and it really does I know you get too touchy what’s up but it but this topic really does kind of uh fall right into the benefits of Freemasonry and you know you said that you and you and Jason were connected through me right
Both of you having a love-hate relationship with me y’all were y’all y’all have now become one and become but besties so here’s my thought though you and I are connected through Jason my son can do that he goes I can’t do it anyways so when when you said that it started
Getting me to thinking about it and you know Freemasonry is one of the coolest fraternities in the world for one very reason because you can travel anywhere around the world and find a brother and you’ve always got that and you know we we tend to have our Circles of
Friends that we that we really do spend a lot of time with and we we um we we talk our deepest thoughts and philosophy and even politics and religion because we know that we love each other we’re going to walk away loving each other and we have those debates and we we really
Hash it out and nobody gets offended when you raise your voice because you want to make that point and you’re so excited about your stance you know that is so cool having those circles but then each one of those people in that Circle is also a member of another Circle
And then another Circle and then another Circle so really you’ve heard of the six points of connection right yes yeah to where if you if you really want to get in touch with somebody there’s usually six people that you can go through you just gotta know who the
Right people are but there’s usually six people that you can go through in your database in your knowledge base in your friends in your friend list um it starts with one and then he goes to one of his friends and then he goes to one of his friends and you can touch
That person right it’s the same way with Freemasons it really is and that’s one of the coolest benefits of a Freemasonry is being able to travel and and find those brothers and find those like-minded people yeah and a a great way to put yourself in personal contact with like Masonic leadership and
Like-minded people would be uh to going to places where you know they’re going to be at right uh say for example the Masonic Improvement Summit coming up September on the 16th in Corpus Christi that’s a great place it’s a great place so there’s going to be some great
Connections there I’m telling you so then you could be the contact people have to go to say hey do you know do you know Chris Williams like I I happen to know Chris Williams I can put you in contact with him thank you then everybody will start stop
Calling me and asking me for all that I just kidding just kidding but really we do get our fair share of that because we know so many people that if somebody wants to know something if if something odd happens within the fraternity I guarantee you I get at least 10 15 calls
Or texts ask me okay so what happened yeah because just because out of relation you know we we really get the get the uh gravity of any situation that happens within our grand jurisdiction it is really kind of funny like once you start traveling especially when you start associating with other people that
Travel a lot um so like uh Jace is a great example I went the temple for that for that Grotto stuff and a bump at the Jason right I went to um Waco Lodge a few days ago last Thursday and I run into Matt Fletcher Austin
Who uh oh Boston’s here or not I read I ran into Austin uh Adam Olivier was there so um and I didn’t know I didn’t know I was gonna run into any of those guys they just we just all covered at the same time and so it’s kind of funny once you
Start traveling at first I don’t really know anybody right but then the more you do it you bump into people you know in like the most random places it’s it’s I mean it’s pretty cool right right I agree so this is so now that Justin and I are
Connected can we cut the dentist I need some rest yeah he just wants me no rest for the wiki he just wants to be too uh he wants you to take me out of his hands basically yeah that’s funny but yeah you’re you’re right and and it’s those
It’s those shared moments that make you closer yeah you know there’s been a lot of times that over the past few years that people have come up to me you know and and said hey man I listened to the podcast all the time we’ve talked on on
Facebook quite a bit and I’m so glad to meet you and then after that we tend to see each other in these other functions as well and now we’ve got that friendship and then and we and we talk and Converse a little more in each one
Of these and we grow we grow a bond because of the shared moments in Freemasons you know that’s that’s awesome I love it yeah yeah so uh I have a I have a and just a fair warning to everybody this probably is gonna be like a two-hour conversation
Like like it was on Wednesday um but uh I do want to uh just I’ll ask you did I said if anyone that’s listening of course as always if you have thoughts please share them but Dennis do you feel as though Freemasonry is living up to its uh Highest Potential right now
No however there’s an asterisk on this I I say absolutely not absolutely not however we’re starting to get the gist of what we need to be doing and we’re starting to see a Renaissance um well it’s been going on but it’s really starting to take shape now
Because all the all the brothers who truly care about the same things are starting to decide hey you know what it’s okay that I have a voice yeah it it’s okay that I say something and want this in my Lodge and expect this from my Lodge
I I do see the the Renaissance right like we we’ve touched on it before it’s undeniable yeah we’ve touched on it before but it’s not smooth selling right you still have lots of lodges that are that are struggling and they may be struggling to go in the right direction they may see
The the lighthouse right they they see the light at the end of the tunnel and they’re trying to let’s go to the lighthouse analogy because they’re trying to steer their shift that way but they’re having a lot of difficulty what do you think is is holding them back
From getting on point to where they need to be denial no um I I think you know something that that someone said here recently to me um well no let’s let’s not go there um go ahead and say what you what you want to say and all because I know you’ve got
An answer to your own question but I I want to formulate mine a little bit better The Lodges that are trying to go in the right direction they it’s the members that see where they need to go they see that where the lodge needs to go right they can see
What it needs to be to uh to survive this basically like like a purge we’re kind of putting ourselves through right and and they understand like you have to be your Lodge has to be that rock that the waves crash against and just stands there right like it’s it’s immovable but
You have to have certain things in place so it’s the it’s the members that are doing that that are that are trying going by the ship analogy there they see the lighthouse they know where they need to go and they’re they’re trying to steer that ship the right way um but they can’t
Because just like you have the members that are trying to correct the course you also have the members that are dead set on staying on the course they’re on right that makes sense so I agree like it’s not Richie it’s full and I have another theory also okay what
I’ll permit it um okay thank you did you see the little hand come up no I didn’t on my screen I uh be there I was all I had to do was raise my hand on a computer saw that I was raising my hand oh see I I watched

I truly believe that even our Mentor generation members the older generation um I truly believe that they see the necessity for a change right that they that they believe as well that some things have to be done in order to fix our current situation however I think the problem is is that
They have in their mind well this didn’t work last time this didn’t work last time this didn’t work last time well some of those last times may have been 50 years ago and and this is a whole different generation with the right people to make it happen at their fingertips and they
Don’t realize that it’s like they’re already self it’s their it’s the self-defeated mentality right and so with that it’s hard to gain momentum to do what you want to do because they they already felt feel like they tried it and it failed even though now they’re equipped with all these people excited
To to make it work whereas before they probably had just one or two people interested and and got nowhere with it right I think that’s one of the possibilities right here is that there are people that want to even with the mentor generation but they just don’t know what to do yeah
And especially since we have no vision on you know a common vision on what we’re supposed to do just like the the poll I did with the philanthropy and fellowship and uh and ritual or education you know pick four yeah and the everybody stops choosing the ones
That were up on the up on the thing pick one of them everybody stopped doing that and just started writing all kinds of stuff down underneath and not actually doing the poll yeah the whole idea is just to see what the priorities were in Texas you know not I don’t I don’t
Really care you know why you think all the things that you think I just want to know which one you think is the most important for us going forward because I believe all of them are but I want to see what Texas thinks is the most important I think

Readily available to all Masons no and I’ll tell you why unless you want to answer it I want to hear your your reasoning because the charter being arrested does not mean that it’s pulled for good it’s not permanent what what that means is that it gets arrested they take it to where
It stops you from doing business at that point in time so that they can audit your minutes audit your you know they may audit your money but probably not because the Grand Lodge doesn’t need your money and they’re not going to just tell people to close down because they
Have money that’s just ridiculous thinking so they’re gonna do an audit of minutes and the thing the called meetings the all the regular meetings call meetings and everything and they’re gonna see they’re going to get the big picture of what’s going on before they make a a
Full decision on putting it in front of the West to to uh to uh keep the chart I think I don’t think anybody else should really I think transparency is important and and here’s here’s well I you just said that I know but I think it I think I’m
Not gonna let you talk because I know you’re wrong you’re wrong but but here’s why if granted at Grand Lodge like you’re saying it will get presented like the justification will be presented however from from a large perspective you need to know what your what you’re up against
You need to know what the charges are so that you can uh be prepared to defend you if the lodge gets their Charter pool they don’t know but it doesn’t need to go out to all of Texas well I don’t know after doing something if if we’re talking totally hypothetically of
Course but if a lodge was doing something that um I mean granted it’s probably I I think it would save other law just trouble if they say okay these these these guys are really serious about this we need to be sure that we are we are or are not doing
Whatever well and and that’s the thing is that it’ll come out in the wash at the end and everybody will know what it was but you’re in the investigation period it’s just like when somebody files charge it’s not it’s not thrown out to the public the that’s done very privately and
There’s investigations done internal investigations by uh usually your your ddgms at large are involved with it as well as other people in the um in Grand Lodge and there’s usually uh people assigned to to uh oversee everything going on in that in that situation so yeah it’s the same thing with the lodge
It’s just like having a charter pool is just like having Sonic charges against you you’re not totally guilty you’re just gonna be halted from doing what you’re doing I don’t think until they figure out I don’t think anyone suggested they’re guilty the the question was just about the information really
Better I mean we’ve right we gave our thoughts and clearly I’m right but that’s why it’s private yeah that’s that’s why it’s private yeah and Devin McLean says and so these topics I think are going back to what we were talking about originally uh Deb McLean says it’s

The lodge needs to go is subjective some think it’s okay where we are and those who want to change and there are those who want to change to progress I mean I don’t disagree but I will say this I’ll say this any organization and it doesn’t matter what level organization what type of
Organization is as soon as you are complacent and you think you’re okay where you are that’s when your organization starts to decline if that makes sense uh right we as lodges and I don’t I don’t care if you’re talking about rotary free masonry Lions Club city council whatever you’re always trying to improve
Uh your organization always always trying to climb higher because once you stop and you rest on your laurels you look back and and you’re you’re back where you started so I get what you’re saying I don’t disagree but I uh go ahead I’ll just go read the next comments
Oh well I wanted to I wanted to speak on that real quick um there was a time when I would I would say that was a big obstacle in your Lodge but after talking with a lot of people about these things and not just having my own opinions but
Actually listening to other people’s opinions um let’s say let’s say there’s several of you that think that education is the way you need to go forward in your Lodge right well just start it with those two people have a book club and start reading uh the secret
Teachings of all ages as for instance and do chapter by chapter and everybody read it come together discuss it try to figure out what the true means were in in the pages and uh go from there and see how that grows internally and before long if people really start seeing the
Value in it that that nucleus is going to expand to a point to where you’ll have enough people um that you can actually vote it into an actual Lodge um event that happens every month that’s a scheduled event for the lodge as a lodge project and not just a few guys that’s
That’s kind of how it has to happen in a lot of lodges because like I said before a lot of these older brothers they’ve seen similar things happen and fail and so they’re not as receptive as as they might be if they had never seen it
At all if that makes sense yeah so sometimes you have to just start small within your Lodge and with a few people we do this project on the side and just let it grow get build excitement yeah I agree um so Devin McLean says uh Freemasonry needs more tech savvy people
He’s tired of seeing people who could barely send an email because when someone wants to join it tends up taking too much to even get a reply yeah we have a we have a new Mason he’s not new anymore but I mean but two year through
Your Mason now but when he joined our lodge uh he lived like an hour away but he joined us because of because he reached out to like I don’t remember how many lodges he said he reached out to but it was it was a lot I want to say like 20. and he
Reached out to all of them and he joined our lodge because we’re the one that got back to him in fact uh one large reached out to him like three months after he joined ours he’s like it’s too late most of them still haven’t replied
Last time I talked to him which was like I don’t know six months ago about that so as of then like two and a half years he still hasn’t heard back from a lot of those lodges so I agree and also I mean that’s that’s kind of why we put out the
Videos we do and that’s also why we always encourage people to to find like track down that Lodge uh so if you say okay uh Hillsboro Lodge or Goliad Lodge Google it where is it at when do they meet and and go to them and introduce yourself because if you wait on email
It’s it’s not always going to work so that’s why we always encourage people plus Freemasonry is all about taking that first step right so I mean it’s good that if you want to send an email but the most the most uh reliable way I think to get in contact with the lodge
Is to show up on their doorstep when you know they are there and introduce yourself well I’d like to speak on that as well and not not to that I want to I want to speak about uh the technology situation if we would force our lodges our
Secretaries to have a large email and stop using their own damn email then you would eliminate a lot of that problem because they would have to check the lodge email regularly to conduct large business and then they would see those emails coming in and then worshipful master can assign a let’s say
A three-man committee for called the membership committee and then that that secretary can then forward that email to the chairman of that committee and then they can reach out and do all the work to to figure out who this person is and if they really
Want them to come to the lodge or not because that’s the best way you can bet somebody in my opinion is when they come in on email you start asking the asking questions immediately you don’t you don’t wait until they come to the lodge because you don’t want some
Nut job coming to your Lodge and you know just finding out where you are just so they can come and do bad things so that’s a perfect way to vet people but you have a system in place and it starts with having a lodge in it and not
Personal emails doing large business yep period period period the end uh let’s see uh Gene says there’s always room to improve yeah always yes there always is I don’t I don’t care if you’re the nicest Lodge in Texas right there’s always something there’s always something you can prove it may be a
Small little building improvements it may be just the way you do your degrees Jason brockenberg I sure will just reckenberg says uh his plan how sweet my daughter is no I wasn’t looking because I’m looking at you my daughter my daughter my daughter’s a darling I didn’t have to go

Interrupting this I mean gosh but he says his plan for his year his virtual Masters to have an esoteric presentation at each meeting but also to have four education nights where they have a quick meeting and then a presentation afterwards and discussion I love that man nice really good yep
That’s a good idea and I think that’s the way it should be anyway is having your education on a different night than the stated meeting because it really doesn’t fit in and and I don’t mind and I love going to lodges and doing it during their stated meeting but
You really don’t have any time to really discuss when you’re presenting at a lodge all it is is it’s basically you trying to get your point across and hopefully they absorbed enough that it’ll click in a couple of days I also think there’s a lot of value just speaking from personal experience
To um and this is granted we do this in your crap but it could easily apply to like the blue Lodge so twice a year usually around Christmas and then like towards the end of the Masonic year like around like around election times uh going out to a nice restaurant as a
Lodge with your families having a mill somewhere outside the Masonic environment and have an education like have a guest speaker and then if it’s like at the end of masonic year go do some presentations while you’re at it you can do the gold trowel or or whatever whatever relevant
Presentations that you can do community Builder something like that and um just just there’s there’s a lot of value to to doing things um out in the community uh just just to just to get together and uh I mean it’s worth it’s worked a
Lot of good and the groups that I do it in and that I’ve seen it done in so I’ll just put that out there plus your community sees you guys out there together having fun right um so they know you’re an active thriving organization David Lawson says uh let’s see oh wait

It does kind of tick him off but what can you do yeah I I unfortunately I agree and really and sad as it is there’s no guarantee that anyone’s even checking that email right it might just be like right like a dead end email well and that’s the thing is that if
You’re going to have a website and have an email check it have people in charge Hillcrest is bad ass at it I mean those guys they get notifications when an email comes in it pops up on their screen because they got a couple of guys that work in the tech field and it
Immediately pops up on their screen that they got a an email and they’re answering it within a couple of minutes I mean it within minutes they’re answering that email and they’re starting that betting process that’s how they do it and in fact they no one ever
Gets to go to the lodge until they decide that they’re going to let these people see the lodge and that’s usually right before initiation you know that’s that is a badass way of doing it and I’m all for it but you have to have people dedicated to that job yeah

Facebook through our launch Facebook page and we usually have two or three competent people that can actually I like like someone someone sends us a message it pops up on my phone right so it’s not something I’m never gonna see and uh usually one of us have responded
Within like the next five minutes so that’s effective also at least for all right if you put people on on Facebook like onto the page as administrators whatever and uh they don’t use Facebook or know how to do anything or they don’t have Messenger on their phone that’s probably not a good fit
Oh I’m sorry yes Dennis and I I I know that a lot of Elijah’s use Facebook the book of faces but the book of faces is two-faced and you’re renting that property yeah and if you do not have any control we learned that the hard one yes you have no control if
They’re going to pull the plug at any given moment and then you can’t use messenger or Facebook to to converse with the outside world I think that if you don’t have your own property which is your own domain website then you’re behind you’re you’re you know you got a ways to go yeah
Facebook is good for marketing it’s not good for bringing people in in my opinion that’s why we use MySpace now we have our old our old early 2000s some early 2000 pictures put up and uh it’s cool I mean you could add music and it’s

I don’t know where you what part of the United States you’re in most lodges don’t do the dinner thing right but we we talk about it because it’s it’s best practice right taking and it doesn’t have to be a dinner but some some way of getting to know
Someone that’s knocking on the door if that makes sense um but I mean dinner’s a great way and I think it’s better outside yeah yeah or take them out for coffee or something yeah I also the lodge is best we’re just hanging out and getting to know them

Well hold on because that’s a trap Dennis but you do have to be able to break in quality men when they knock on your door there’s a difference because because most lodges will do degrees like they don’t they don’t really diligently do the back like the
Investigation at all and if you want to join as long as you as long as you can check the boxes you’re in right and that’s not healthy well what I’m what I’m saying is that if if you’re not doing enough out there that people want to reach out to you
Something’s wrong with your Lodge already and so if you’re not making Mason then you’re probably not doing a very good job at Freemason or somebody would be contacting you because they would they would see you and they would want what you have yeah that’s kind of how I feel about it

Then you might you might want to second guess that that particular lodge because if they’re letting anybody in that quick and easy yeah that might be not be the the group of people that you want to be around because you might not get the Freemasonry that you thought you were
Supposed to be getting yeah we should we should our next Lab we should probably talk about red flags for for petitioners oh God I mean because because it doesn’t get addressed right like we talk about hey this is ideally what it should look like but I
Mean there’s lots of red flags like in the buildings falling apart or they give you a petition as soon as you come in things like funny smells really cheap dues yeah funny dead animals smell bad shape yeah yeah things like that and that’s not to say a large can’t come out
Of stuff like that right but carpet from the 80s but as as the new guy it’s kind of hard to get the changes going you want usually unless they’re just uh right really desperate for for new people to bring in ideas but that’s not yours so many and there’s so many lodges
Across Texas right now that are doing such a good job at building on our fraternity like like we should be doing yeah you know they you know we see these Peaks and valleys just like in business you have your it’s all cyclical and you have the peaks in the valleys and right now
We are headed upwards in um participation and interest in education and uh philosophy and and uh and fellowship I mean that’s that’s a big one too being able to go out and bond with each other because it’s those shared experiences that really bring you together so we’ve got a big incline
Right now of Lodge is starting to do that all across Texas and and there are a few Pockets that it’s extremely effective and of course it’s thinner in the rural areas but they’re still starting to do that as well and so it’s not that you wouldn’t be able to
Find one sometimes you do have to drive an hour you know I I do it regularly I was telling somebody today um he was asking me for what what would I advise advise um since he’s a new mason and he said that that he uh he was raised it
Fort Worth 148. I said man that’s an awesome Lodge yeah but even if even though it’s an awesome Lodge don’t get stuck in that thought that that one culture is Freemasonry because it’s not and I love it and they are such a badass Lodge but it’s not the only thing
Freemasonry is so you gotta travel to kind of see the big picture on in Freemasonry and that was my advice that you know be proud of your Lodge but travel as much as you can and so you’ve got to expand your radius and decide where you’re
Willing to travel to for me it’s an hour and 45 minutes each way that’s my that’s my immediate radius that I’ll do On Any Given night I’ll do that on the weekends I’ll go wherever and just get a hotel my girls love Hotel life and uh frankly so do I
I like to be pampered so we travel extensively and have no problem with it so if if you have to drive an hour to find that Lodge that fits you that you really feel comfortable in go for it man and Jason stopped talking [ __ ] about no Jason says uh Simon’s Simon’s my wife’s

Meet in that building we have um the York right that meets in that building we um we do our Scottish Rite Stuff obviously and then we have Banquets and stuff coming in in our building I mean there’s there’s always a lot going on with the with the buildings that’s why I
Think all these lodges start selling their little buildings and support the big cool one because if you had more lodges utilized there would never be an issue with with money on either side not with the big building or with the little lodges I think a lot of districts would benefit from
Especially these lodges where they’re basically being kept Alive by dual memberships right you if they if they were they don’t have to merge I’m not talking about merging if they just move their Charters to one central location sell the buildings and put that money to either building something bigger and
Nicer or improving the building that it’s in we would really strengthen Freemasonry all across the state oh yeah there’s so many at some point it’s going to have to happen it’s going to have to I mean either forcefully or not but lodges lodges would be you know the the reason
I think York right I’m talking about my York rat I know that my York right is so healthy is because we don’t have to worry about money if that makes sense and we could focus on the education and actually provide providing value like we still do some charity stuff but
We don’t do fundraising and we just work on providing value the way I’m going with this is if lodges sold their buildings and and met in one location they they don’t really have bills it’s split among however many places you know five or six lodges now you don’t have to
Worry so much about fundraising in fact your dues might cover all your expenses and then you could just focus on providing value to the community that your namesake is from or where your logic originated at I mean that’d be so fantastic right um uh yeah because go ahead because the institution
Of Freemasonry is still going to decline yeah and not the quality of the three masonry that we have going on but the instrument the institution portion is going to shrink and it would be much better if we would be wise and and be proactive and US call the shots on
What’s going to happen to to make a positive impact with our lives as opposed to letting it just run itself into the ground and one day Grand Lodge has to say you know what you’re not doing Freemasonry we’ll take that Charter back yep uh Zachary haston

Uh 20 30 years they’re they’re all going to be meeting in Saint Lodge anyway and now it could be because we we move our lodges our Charters and or are being Forward Thinking or it could be because the largest demise and they all had the merge so either way everyone’s going to be
Meeting in the same one or two buildings it’s just gonna be there’s gonna be there’s gonna be consolidation one way or the other right we can do one of my mentors always said go ahead I’m sorry I was gonna say we could do it voluntarily
Or we could do it uh as a necessity but either way I think inevitably we’re going to see something like that and if it’s and if it’s by necessity you’re just hurting the lodge and Eternity Itself by doing that yeah it’s we’re making we’re making a bad impression on
On our on the society for ourselves and yeah we shouldn’t we shouldn’t have those egos involved yeah we should always be thinking about what we can do for the betterment of Free Masonry and stop thinking about what we can do for the betterment of ourselves well I’ll tell you from personal
Experience I’m talking about a merge but uh a merge can be the best thing for for both bodies if if it’s done smartly if it’s done wisely yeah if you take a dying if you if you take a a dying Lodge and merge it with another dying Lodge that’s not necessarily going
To be beneficial but if you take just two unhealthy lodges that that that have together they would have what they need right but apart they’re just incomplete then uh you can really you can really create a very healthy organization that way it’s just that it’s just a matter of being able to identify
And it’s not necessarily your closest Lodge right you could say uh will we really you might say well we really focus on fundraising and it’s like well that launch focuses on that or you can say hey we really like education here we’re not doing really healthy that launch really likes
Education too so let’s just combine it hey Austin white well and and here’s with that thought though here’s another thought if you move in and one Lodge likes education the other one likes philanthropy then now you have the opportunity to have both and because you know that that
Lodge with philanthropy has a few guys that love education and you have a few guys from the one that loves education that really love philanth are you talking about a merger or sharing it yeah if you’re if you’re merging then you you can fill that cuff with each
Other because you have the strength of both things there and it it takes more than just one thing to make a successful Lodge and create a successful culture in your Lodge yeah uh so also why says hello fellas hello new IL Texas profit yeah we were talking

Because it’s because you’ll have to pay taxes against it but a raffle you you get two of them not having to pay taxes on each year and that’s why there’s certain rules to it to keep it from but there are the law changed and you are allowed to post it on like Texas
Freemasons or whatever so he says just needed an official yes or no I would say just to cover our own Tales here we look at the business law look at the law like we can’t give an official yes or no because we don’t presume to speak for any yeah we’re not Physicians yeah
We’re not official we’re not lawyers so um even if even the lawyers won’t give you that information they’ll tell you to go read it yeah so I mean Dennis gave you his interpretation and that’s that’s kind of the consensus among some people some grips so he says that’s what the law says yeah
Yeah oh he meant to ask I read I read the laws he meant to ask about Raffles not fundraisers yeah and that’s it is that Raffles you can but it’s um it’s frowned upon by our Fraternity in Texas I can tell you that and people will tell you to take it
Down and things like that because they don’t want the liability but it actually is legal to do it but I think Raffles have to go towards benevolence right like you can’t use it for operating costs or anything like that right right it’s it’s an actual charity wrap that’s why you’re allowed
To do it up to uh your prizes can be worth up to like fifty thousand dollars or no I think it’s 250 000 now more than most lodges have to worry about yeah at one time you were able to you know raffle off a house if you wanted to
And that’s why it went up to house that’s why it went up that’s why it went up to as much as it did yeah yeah but it you know the laws are pretty cut and dry and and they’re in layman’s terms pretty much you’re not reading a big you know Constitution
Document this it they have it on the uh on the website and they have it just broken down one two three four five yes yes yes you can do no no no you can’t do it yeah all right let’s wrap it up give your final thoughts and then I will my final thoughts

That’s your that’s your inner circle right there just like we have our Inner Circle of subscribers and and uh and contributors to our to our uh show um you’ll find that in your little book club or in in your floor school club whatever you’re doing in Freemasonry
That you have this this group of guys that y’all are Die Hard gonna do it no matter what anybody else says that’s your circle and then each one of those people in that Circle has another Circle somewhere else and if you just build those bonds eventually you’re
Going to know about that other Circle and you’ll probably get invited over to that other city so then you’ll meet all these new people and it and it happens and eventually it spreads um like the formation of cells you know they they they split and and expand and
Then they split and expand it’s kind of the same thing you can you can create growth exponentially with your Freemasonry by just focusing on your circles it’s very true and putting all you put all your effort into the stuff that you love and then you’ll find before too long
That you’ll you’ll know people all over the world that’s the truth that’s the truth and that’s why Justin and I are here because we’re helping people to expand their circles that’s because a lot of us feel like we’re on yeah absolutely and and we need to fill
