Fraternity here on campus and I’m so happy to be a part of this because it is history these are the first sororities and fraternity at Barbie and Kendall University so these are the first members who are joining these organizations so I’m so happy to be a part of this history that’s being made
Here today or this week I should say so once again I’m going to be interviewing the sororities and the fraternity and following them around campus during this Rush week process all right so stay tuned and join me Sonia today’s episode I had the honors of interviewing the beautiful pledges of alpha Zeta sci-fi
Move sorority Incorporated the first sorority here at Bobby and Kendall University so if you missed that episode definitely go check it out and on today’s episode I’m going to be interviewing the associate members of Kappa Omega Sapphire new Fraternity Incorporated the first fraternity here at Barbie and Kendall University so
Let’s go ahead and meet the associate members of Kappa Omega sci-fi new Fraternity Incorporated foreign Difficulty we had to change the chairs out because these are some brolic guys them being on the football team you know they got some weight on them so we have to give them some more sturdy cheers word so we have to change the chairs out
But we here with the fellas now go ahead and introduce yourself you guys hey what’s up everybody what’s up what’s up hey hey so go ahead and introduce yourself and let everybody know who you are hey what’s up everybody I’m Gabriel hey what’s up I’m William what’s up everybody I’m Xavier
Hey what’s up I’m Kareem what’s goody what’s goody I’m Vince all right fellas let’s jump right into it and let’s get to know more about this fraternity so Kappa Omega sci-fi new fraternity was started in 2002 by our fellow classmate and football team member Omar aka Big Brother sango
So our symbols are the anchor and the football which represents us staying grounded and being athletes our colors are red and blue and our goal and mission is to keep building on this Brotherhood and to also go out to low-income communities help clean it up plant new trees attend food pantries and
We also want to start a Big Brother program for the Youth help get them into sports so they can one day get a scholarship okay nice these are all good reasons to be a part of this fraternity so fellas definitely consider pledging Kappa Omega
So let me ask you this why do y’all call Omar Big Brother sango so we use the phrase big brother out of respect for Omar for being the founder and the first person to create this Brotherhood he’s the one who brought us all together and he mentors us so he really does feel
Like our big brother so we call Omar sengo because Sango was considered one of the most powerful African deities and Sango also represents Vengeance protection and social order so we’re not calling Omar a God we’re just saying based on his personality and what he does for the
Community and how he carries himself he definitely embodies sango okay so I have one more question I notice you guys are walking around with masks what do the masks represent so the mass represents silence while being a student and learning the secrets of the organization and to not speak on
What you have learned until you have the complete knowledge and wisdom to speak on it okay that makes a lot of sense well I definitely learned a lot about the organization today thank you guys for joining me and being on the show I think this is a great organization to be a
