The national panhellenic council or mphc can also be referred to as a divine nine it’s called the divine nine because nine different fraternities and sororities exist that make up the council internationally here at stanford we have two of those chapters currently active and those are alpha kappa alpha sorority incorporated
And delta sigma theta sorority incorporated what’s cool about mphc is that it is a coed council meaning it’s made up of fraternities and sororities within the mphc we currently don’t have any active fraternities that are hopeful that alpha phi alpha fraternity incorporated and cap alpha psi fraternity incorporated
Will reactivate their chapters and be active on campus once again npic chapters history and culture really mean a lot to them it makes them who they are you may see chapters sporting the year they were founded in their colors or you might see them strolling or stepping on campus as well that’s just
Them showing who they are as their culture and what their chapters mean to them but that’s not all who they are while those things are fun and important to them they also value service giving back to the community brotherhood and sisterhood and leadership each chapter has their own values that
They stand by and they’re they’ll be happy to share what those are with you stanford greek life is really proud to have mphc is part of our campus greek life community the black creek experience and the representation really matters to us and although the mphc is a smaller
Council we’re hopeful to see them grow and impact the campus community as leaders
