The Terrorist and Extremist Organizations Iceberg Part 1

Oh boy this video is not gonna get demonetized  at all Hello everybody and welcome back to the   Willy St Willy Channel yet again now today we’re  going back to a more classic style of Willy St   Willy content and that would be an iceberg chart  more specifically the Terrorist and extremist  

Organizations iceberg juicy topic I know now  if you’re a hardened veteran of the Willie   St Willy Channel then you already know what an  iceberg chart is it’s essentially a chart that   can cover a wide variety of any sort of topic  ranging from childhood cartoons to conspiracy  

Theories but essentially the charts start at  the tippy top of what is the most widely known   and common knowledge about whatever topic it  is down to the depths of what is the least   well known or obscure about that topic and the  topic we’re covering today would be terrorists  

And extremist organizations and if uh you’re not  familiar with what terrorism is well then I’ll   explain that to you as well terrorism in its most  broadest sense is the use of intentional violence   and fear to achieve political or ideological aims  and it can range from domestic terrorism centered  

In one country or region to International  terrorism that expands to multiple countries   or regions now when it comes to extremist groups  every terrorist group is an extremist group but   not every extremist crew is a terrorist group if  that makes any sense to be considered an extremist  

Organization you basically have to to be a group  of people whose beliefs and ideals and goals and   actions fall far outside of what is considered  normal by Society very broad definitions I know   but luckily for us the lovely creator of this  Iceberg just so happened to color code all the  

Individual groups to show what sort of ideological  leading and tendencies they go towards just for   our categorical pleasure organizations that  are in Gray are considered fundamentalist   extremist groups red being right-wing extremist  groups and blue being left-wing extremist groups   the creator also left us definitions of what is  considered fundamentalist left-wing and right-wing  

Extremist groups which I will read to you now so  fundamentalist organizations are organizations   whose motives rely on a set of fundamentals  usually but not exclusively religious or can   be related to business or other beliefs as well so  most of the groups you’ll see at this list who are  

Fundamentalists are religious extremist groups  left we extremism generally a form of extremism   characterized by an emphasis on ideas such as  Freedom equality fraternity rights progress   reform and internationalism anarchists communist  socialist and alike are all regarded as left-wing   I don’t know about you but like equality  and rights and freedom sound pretty cool  

In my opinion so I don’t know how that’s a good  definition for left-wing extremism but you know   what I digress right-wing extremism generally a  form of extremism characterized by an emphasis on   Authority hierarchy order Duty tradition reaction  and nationalism fascism racial supremacists move  

Into the like are all regarded as right wing now  for the sake of my own sanity I’m going to be   breaking down this Iceberg into multiple Parts  So today we’re going to be covering the first  

Two tiers in this Iceberg and I’ll be sure to get  the next part out for you guys as soon as humanly   possible also I’m gonna try not to spend too much  time on each individual group but I’ll be sure to  

Cover enough so you guys kind of get the gist of  what each one’s about alright now that all the   setup is out of the way without further ado into  it starting off with tier one this terrorist group   needs no introduction introducing Isis otherwise  known as isil otherwise known as the Islamic

Come to the same promise they once were I mean we  can only hope they won’t up next we have Al Qaeda   which is a soon pan-islamist militant terrorist  group and you might recognize that name as they   are most notable for the September 11 2001 attacks  they self-identify as the Vanguard spearheading a  

Global Revolution whose goal is to unite the world  under a Ultra nationalist Islamic State known as   the caliphate they were founded by Veterans  of the Soviet Afghan war with Osama Bin Laden   being the original founder and leader and they’re  basically dean of terrorist organization by almost  

Every country known to mankind the planet so yeah  uh not very good guys to say the least Boko Haram   is another militant islamist terrorist group  and their official name is the let me see if  

We read this right group of the people of Sunnah  for dawa and Jihad okay yeah Boko ROM does roll   off the tongue better so yeah they’re based in  Northeastern Nigeria but they’re also active in   other African countries such as Chad Niger or  Northern Cameroon their main goal is basically  

To overthrow the Nigerian government and establish  an alternationalist Islamic State and for a while   the mid-2010s they were actually deemed the most  dangerous terrorist group in the world so very   impressive title I guess guys weird flex but okay  they were initially founded by Muhammad Yusuf in  

2002 and since it’s death they’ve splintered into  multiple different factions but their main goal   originally was to spread Sunni Islam and seek the  destruction of Shia Islam in Northern Nigeria also   during their Heyday they aligned themselves with a  group known as Isis that I mentioned previously in  

2019 the president of Nigeria Dean Boko Haram as  technically defeated so they’re still technically   active but they’re obviously nowhere near the  same level as they used to be al-shabab is another   Sunni islamist militant group with their full  name being harborcott al-shabab al-bujah Dean and  

Their current participants in the ongoing Somalian  civil war with their main goal being establishing   an Islamic State and Somalia and they’ve also  been known to align themselves with Al Qaeda   the Taliban which also refers to Itself by its  state name the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan  

Is a Islamic militant and nationalist group that  currently controls the country of Afghanistan now   originally from 1996 to 2001 they controlled about  three quarters of the country before being toppled   by the U.S Invasion and since the US’s departure  in August of 2021 they since regained control of  

The entire country and they’re most frequently  known for restricting the rights of women and   children and just overall enforcing shairaland  not being very cool or chill guys at all Hamas   otherwise known as the Islamic resistance move  it is a nationalist Islamic military organization  

Which is a little bit unique compared to the  other Islamic fundamentalist groups I mentioned   before as they have both a military Wing aspect  of the organization in a social service wing   of their organization by many are actually seen  as a legitimate political Authority and they’re  

Basically the de facto governing body of  the Gaza Strip they also hold a majority   in Parliament within the Palestinian National  Authority many countries like the US regarding   the entire organization as a terrorist group but  there are others that only regard the military  

Wing as a terrorist group while other countries  don’t regard them as a terrorist organization at   all like Switzerland or Russia or Norway next up  we have the KKK otherwise known as the Ku Klux   Klan the Ku Klux Klan oh no regarding as a white  supremacist and far-right terrorist group by many  

They seek to Target several different ethnic and  religious groups within the us such as Hispanics   and Jews and Latinos and Asian okay it’d be easier  to list people they don’t Target basically anybody   who’s not a white Protestant Christian is on their  radar to be targeted the KKK is seen as having  

Three different phases throughout its history  originally being founded by Confederate Veterans   in the 1860s and using terrorism and harassment  to suppress African Americans they’ve since been   a lot more underground in modern day and they’re  not very active anymore like they used to be and  

Funny enough like I didn’t know this I I found  this out researching but uh officially they’re   not even designated a terrorist group by the US  government like they some states have designated   them but the federal government has not designated  them a terrorist group which I don’t know why they  

Never did but they haven’t but they’re seen by  everyone as an extreme reactionary movement so   yeah not very chill guys all around next up we  have the Rodney movement which to be honest it’s   basically like a cult that uses Psychotherapy  and elements of eastern and western philosophy  

To groom its victims and members but anyway  they’re originally founded by Indian Mystic   known as bhagwan tree ragnish otherwise known as  asho they were a very controversial group of the   1970s and 80s with the founder being very hostile  towards Hindu morality within India then later on  

Christian morality in the U.S and even the Soviet  Union chimed in and Dean of a reactionary and   aiding the bourgeoisie which is like so basically  he made enemies everywhere he went so yeah all   this controversy with iranish move it came to  a head in 1984 when they get this committed a

And all this finally stopped when a ceasefire  was called in 1992 7. after the ceasefire the   political wing of the IRA known as Shen Fein  which was finally recognized as a legitimate   party within the multi-party system came to talks  during the Good Friday agreement in 1998. after  

The Good Friday agreement most of the political  violence finally came to an end and in 2005 the   IRA formally ended its armed campaign and started  to decommission a lot of their weapons even   though the IRA is not currently considered active  you’ll still see occasional political violence in  

Northern Ireland and maybe the occasional pipe  bomb the Kurdistan Workers Party or the pkk is   a left-wing militant political organization and  armed Guerrilla movement they’re primarily based   in the mountainous Kurdish majority region  of Southeastern turkey and Northeastern Iraq  

Originally the group started out as wanting an  independent Kurdish state but now they just seek   to have more political and cultural rights within  the country of Turkey the ideology of the group   is mixed with a bit of revolutionary socialism  and Marxist leninism and with a healthy dash of  

Kurdish nationalism the pkk is designated as  a terrorist group by the U.S and many other   EU countries but the designation have seen as a  bit controversial by many as many point out that   they no longer participate in Terrorist activities  and simply look for education and political reform  

Next up we have Hezbollah or this party of God or  party of Allah and it’s a Lebanese Shia islamist   political party and militant group and since 1992  it’s a led by Secretary General Hassan nasarala   now it has two wings and is the paramilitary wig  known as the Jihad Council and has the political  

Wing known as the loyalty to the resistance block  party now midi countries have designated them as   a terrorist group but in Lebanon itself it’s  seen as a legitimate political party so much   so that in 2006 its strength surpassed that at the  actual Lebanese military next up we have the Black  

September organization which is a Palestinian  militant group that was founded in 1970. now   the group has been inactive since 1988 but it did  have a few notable terrorist attacks such as the   Munich Massacre which saw the deaths of 11 Israeli  athletes and a West German police officer as well  

As the assassination of Jordanian prime minister  was vital Mexico FIFA or just the anti-fascist   which is a left-wing anti-fascism and anti-racist  group within the United States it consists of   mostly decentralized autonomous groups and there  are several different means of which they convey  

Their message usually through Civil Disobedience  but in some instances through just direct   violence Now antifa isn’t considered a terrorist  organization but they are considered an extremist   group and they came to clash with several  different police departments and cities and also   other political organizations especially far-right  ones the proud boys is an exclusively male  

Far-right militant group within the United States  and they’ve been deemed as terrorist organizations   by several different countries such as New Zealand  and Australia they’ve been convicted of violently   opposing the US government and they’re mostly  known for their participation in the January  

6 interaction and also their weird cult-like  neo-fascists following a former president Donald   Trump next up we have the ayumu shinariko which  I believe translates to Supreme truth they’re   basically a Japanese Buddhist new religion  movement otherwise known as occult and they’re  

Both famous for the sarin gas attacks that took  place in Tokyo Subways in the 1990s their founder   shoko ashara and many of the other members were  put to death in 2018 for the sarin gas attacks and   as of 2022 the United States government took them  off the terrorist organization list because they  

Are seen as a mostly defunct group next up we have  the maoist Communist Party of India and this one’s   pretty straightforward the remarks is Limitless  political organization and militant group and they   have since been banned throughout the country  of India their main goal is to overthrow the  

Current government of India which they deem  as semi-futile and a semi-colonial state and   since 2009 the Indian government has designated  them as a terrorist group next up we have a very   old terrorist plot but uh we have the gunpowder  conspiracy otherwise known as the Gunpowder Plot  

Of 1605. the gunpowder conspiracy was a failed  assassination attempt on King James the first   by a group of Catholics who had sought to restore  the old Catholic monarchy and end the persecution   of Catholics in England the plan led by Robert  katsby was essentially trying to blow up the House  

Of Lords which would then in inside a revolution  that would overthrow the monarchy and their plan   was basically to replace King James the first  and replace them with his nine-year-old daughter   Elizabeth who was to be installed as the Catholic  head of state obviously this plot didn’t work and  

This whole conspiracy just faded away into English  History next up we have the Lord’s resistance Army   which is a Christian nationalist organization  that mostly operates in Uganda South Sudan and   the Congo their stated goals are the establishment  of a multi-party democracy that adhered to the Ten  

Commandments the lra was designated as a terrorist  group by the U.S but it’s since been removed   from that list and they’ve been guilty of various  amounts of crimes like in human rights violations   like murders abductions a specific type of child  slavery I’m not going to say what it is but uh  

Yeah uh pretty heinous guys the as of Italian is  a volunteer paramilitary group under the command   of Andrew balitsky whose main goal is to fight  pro-russian forces in the dambas region of Ukraine   the as of Italian has since been incorporated into  the National Guard of Ukraine and they’re deemed  

As a far-right militia group with ties to with  many other members being or wearing symbols and   it’s yeah it’s crazy they’re frequently used in  Russian propaganda as an example of like Ukraine   the Boogaloo boys or the Boogaloo movement is a  Loosely organized far-ride anti-government militia  

Group and the Boogaloo in their name refers to  a future possible second American Civil War or   revolution called the Boog or the Boogaloo the  members of the Boogaloo movement itself kind   of vary a lot as they can range from just pro-gun  right-wing Libertarians just straight up and their  

Main goal is to pretty much try to incite a second  American Revolution or Civil War now like many   good and wholesome things on the Internet it’s  been theorized that they might have started on   4chan before spraying to other websites although  it’s just kind of unproven it’s kind of iffy but  

They’re most notable for wearing Hawaiian shirts  or Hawaiian themed clothing to identify members now while I have no other way to really  incorporate this or bring it up so I’m   just gonna say it but supposedly supposedly uh  windigoon himself into Papa goon himself might  

Have been a founding member of the Boogaloo  movement now according to him he didn’t really   start the balloon movement as if it became today  and it mostly just started as a funny little like   pro-gun thing or him just going by the moniker  of the Boogaloo boy so I you can’t even if it  

Is true you can’t really blame him for what the  movement became because he just kind of separated   himself from it but still it blew my mind when  I was researching this I I saw that I was like

Yeah anyway moving on starting off with tier  two we have the May 19th communist organization   otherwise known as the May 19th Coalition there  are far left militant group that was formed by   members of another fall life organization known  as The Weather Underground and their namesake  

Comes from the birthdays of both Malcolm X and  Ho Chi Minh they were acted from 1978 to 1985   and the membership consisted of people from  the Black Panthers and white Panthers and the   Republic of new Africa with this group Coalition  formed they had three main objectives number one  

Being freeing political prisoners within the  U.S number two being appropriating capitalist   wealth which basically just means doing armed  robbery and stealing money to fund a supposed   future Revolution and interesting fact uh the  Bolsheviks in the Soviet Union did the same  

Thing and that’s how you get this cool picture of  young Stalin’s mug shot I just thought that was   funny as I want to add that note in there and  number three initiating a series of terrorist   attacks and bombings as a way to kick-start a  workers Revolution within the U.S this group  

Has been defined since 1985 with the arrest of  several of its key members next up we have the   ustazi or the Croatian revolutionary movement and  they’re basically a far right Ultra nationalist   fascist movement that was acted from 1929  to 1945 in the former Yugoslavia this group  

Is most notable for their participation in the  assassination of King Alexander the first in 1934   and also helping the Germans during the 1930s and  carrying out the um I think YouTube Center this  

Awards I’m not going to say it but uh the Hall of  you know costs uh that thing uh which resulted in   the deaths of many Jews and Romani people within  Yugoslavia and uh yeah overall very bad guys but  

Once the Germans surrendered in 1944 the movement  basically entirely collapsed next up we have the   Abu Nadal organization otherwise known as fatah  and they’re basically a Palestinian nationalist   militant organization that split off from the PLO  in 1974 and several different countries such as  

The US and Israel have designated in a terrorist  group but they’ve been defunct since 1997. combat   18 or the c18 is a um uh I’m pretty sure YouTube  Center this Ward but they are a Neo no no German  

Fascist movement that originated in the UK the  movement was founded in 1992 and since starting   in the UK they’ve since spread to Canada the US  and Germany and the group was most notable for the   assassination of German politician Walter lubic  and interesting fact they were the first far right  

Group to be labeled build a terrorist organization  by Canada in 2019 so uh yeah the more you know the   simonees Liberation Army otherwise known as the  SLA is a far left militant organization that was   acted from 1973 to 1975 and interesting fact the  FBI designated them as a terrorist organization  

And claimed that they were the first terrorist  group to arise from the American left they’re most   famous for a shootout they had with Los Angeles  police in 1974 and after the shooting many of   the members died and in 1975 the remaining members  were apprehended the Black Liberation Army was an  

Underground Marxist leninist militant organization  that consisted of members from the Black Panthers   and the Republic of new Africa so my little buddy  Nigi decided to pay me a visit so uh here he is   uh Nigel do you have anything to  say about the Black Liberation Army

I guess that’s a no they were acted from 1970 to  1981 with their main goal being to take up arms   against the United States government to fight for  the freedom and self-determination of black people   within the United States the organization carried  out a series of bombings and murders against

The West German government the RAF engaged in  multiple bombings and assassinations and robberies   and kidnappings and all of this culminated in 1977  during the height of their activity known as the   German Autumn speaking of West German terrorist  groups we have another one called revolutionary  

Cells which was a self-described urban  Guerrilla organization the group was actually   in 1973 and 1995 and even though they committed  multiple series of attacks throughout West   Germany and West Berlin they’re most famous for  their 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight in  

Cooperation with the Palestinian Liberation Front  during the hijacking they basically just rerouted   the flight to Uganda where they gained temporary  Asylum until the hijackers were killed by Israeli   Defense Force during a hostage Rescue Mission  the Japanese Red Army was a militant communist  

Organization acted from 1971 to 2001 and they  operated mostly out of Lebanon with help of the   Palestinian Liberation Front and also received  funding from Muammar Gaddafi of Libya now their   stated aims were pretty straightforward they  wanted to overthrow the Japanese government in  

Monarchy and also start a World Revolution so uh  yeah pretty modest goals the base is a fascist Neo   No-No German paramilitary group and underground  trading organization that was formed by a man   named Ronaldo nazaro she’s got a name kind of  rolls off the tongue a little bit in 2018 they’re  

Active within the U.S Canada South Africa and  throughout Europe in June 2018 Ronaldo going under   the pseudonym Norman Spear and Roman Wolfe bought  several Acres of Off the Grid land in Washington   state for a survivalist training camp Ronaldo used  to work for the FBI and the Pentagon but moved to

And Canada the Adam waft division otherwise known  as the National Socialist resistance front is a   far-right militant fascist organization based in  the Southern United States and founded in 2013.   they’ve since spread their influence across the  United States and throughout Europe and Argentina  

And they’ve been designated a hate Group by  the Southern Poverty Law Center as well as a   terrorist organization by multiple governments  Adam waffenvision also has multiple propaganda   video showing them burning the Constitution of  the United States dates and calling for attacks  

Or the suppression of multiple different ethnic  minorities with their main goal being to establish   an ethno State and multiple different planned  terrorist attacks and murders have been attributed   to them Army of God or just AOG is an underground  Christian terrorist organization within the U.S  

That is responsible for multiple accounts of  anti-abortion violence they were founded in   1982 in multiple murders and kidnappings have  been attributed to them and they are kind of   a decentralized network as they don’t have one  Central Authority or leader so their actions are  

A little bit harder to track but the Department  of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security   consider them an active underground terrorist  organization whether underground was a far left   Marxist militant organization that was founded in  1969 on the Ann Harbor Campus of the University  

Of Michigan originally known as the weathermen  they were founded by members of the students   for a Democratic Society organization and their  main goal is to act as a sort of Vanguard party   in order to overthrow the government of  the United States the FBI designated them  

As a terrorist organization and interesting fact  during the cia’s illegal co-intel Pro activities   that involved heavy surveillance and infiltration  of different political groups whether underground   was one of their primary targets so uh yeah the  more you know janjaweed is a Sudanese era militia  

Group that operates mostly out of Sudan and their  membership mostly consists of Sudanese Arab tribes   many of whom are most notable for their camel  hurting so that’s why you’ll see many pictures   of John Dewey with them riding camels and Emmy  guns because many of them are camel herders and uh

Same origin as the donx People’s Republic just  in the neighboring region in eastern Ukraine   now these countries have basically been virtually  unrecognized in the International Community with   only really Russia and a couple other countries  recognizing them as independent states and  

Obviously this is kind of going unresolved with  the current ongoing war in Ukraine so they’re kind   of in a weird limbo state of being an independent  country or just part of Russia or being a part of  

Ukraine it’s a whole thing I’m not going to get  to do it can make up its own video honestly yeah   the next Stitch I hope I pronounce right but uh  the Nar denaya volia or the people’s will was a   19th century revolutionary socialist political  organization and left-wing terrorist group that  

Attempted to overthrow the Zara’s system in the  Empire of Russia this group is most notable for   serving as the inspiration and Forerunner for  future socialism Anarchist groups that arose   through the Russian Revolution especially  these Russian socialist revolutionary party
