Media page like let it go discretion discretion discretion everything does not need to be know about everybody keep some stuff to yourself number two patience now a lot of times people think people just become members overnight that is not how this works it’s a process know to be patient no to
Wait show up to events get to know the people do something let me just be the same thing you would do for a job if you’re looking for a new employer it’s the same thing you should be doing when you’re seeking out a fraternity or sorority don’t just assume oh I went to
Informational I’m in that’s not how it works there is a process there’s a timeline and when I say process it’s just the same process as when you are looking for a new job you go and fill out the application you come in for an interview maybe you come out for a
Second interview then you extended an offer like it’s pretty much the same thing don’t just think you posed to wake up and you remember no that is not how it goes save your money now I’m not gonna tell you what to say I’m not gonna tell you
How much to save just save your money because being in a fraternity and a sorority is a luxury contrary to what people believe it’s a exclusive environment it’s not meant to have everybody in it otherwise everybody would be in organizations you’re an extended and invitation to come in it’s
Not like you can just show up and be like yay I want to be XYZ but and you like ain’t got no money to join yeah every organization has different prices there are different membership fees for undergrad level and their different membership fees for grad level
So again I don’t know what people are having to pay for membership fees so I’m just gonna say save your money and be comfortable enough to have that membership feet ready to pay I’m number four do your research again this goes back to when you are in your looking for
Employment you don’t just go into the interview and expect them to tell you everything about them you should come in already knowing a certain amount of information that is public about the organization that looks like you’re serious that looks like you’re prepared again you don’t have to get ready if you stay
Ready like do what you need to do if this is something you want show it know what you’re talking about show your face show up you know what I’m saying I ain’t saying stalk nobody or not there but make sure people know that your interest is real and again don’t be running off
At the mouth telling everybody in a momma the last one getting chose again being in a sorority or fraternity in a black Greek letter organization is a privilege it’s not a right not everyone is going to get in if you sit up and just think oh yeah
I’m cute that’s why they gonna want me girl please it’s a million cute people out here we’ll need you to be cute what do you bring to the table what makes you seem like an attractive candidate for membership how can you build upon and take the organization to the next level
That’s what they’re looking for they don’t care if you find or if you dress nice what they want to know is not only do you look good on paper but you look in real life to make sure you are worthy people need to know that you’re going to
Bring some substance some work to this organization outside of that then why do we need you hey I’m just telling it how it is don’t be mad at me don’t shoot the messenger just know this is pretty much what it’s like the same process that you go through for employment is the same
