Right i appreciate you i love you um okay you guys so another subscriber sent me um a email so we just gonna hop right into it i’ve actually never read it um so i’m not going to say who it came from but she gave me permission literally when she sent it
This is what she said the title of the video or the subject of her email is coping and legacies are ruining greek life she said hey deja love your videos and want your thoughts on this situation and my school of certain sorority pledges hard they only had two members left on campus
One which is graduating they were pretty consistent with keeping girls on the yard however this time the advisors went ahead and initiated 25 plus paper members with a lot of legacies the made sorority members took to twitter and through slugs when they came out on social media they posted memes talked about earning
Their stars oh okay so i’m assuming they’re pearls she literally blanked it out she didn’t put a word she just put stars um all this to say do you believe covet and legacies are ruining greek culture why or why not and if you choose um if you choose me keep me anonymous okay
So i haven’t emailed her yet i’m just gonna make a video about it and then hopefully she sees it so i oh y’all this really grinds my gear so let’s just get right into it okay i feel like covet yes i feel like covet is ruining the experience of doing
Greek things i don’t feel like it’s ruining greek life the members in themselves are ruining greek life like i feel like certain members certain things that people do in their letters or in in their chapters are ruining greek life but i do feel like covet overall is really
Setting people up to just be comfortable not interacting with each other like it sucked for me like i was i was happy to go to to like go to these zoom probates that i got invited to and stuff like that um unfortunately it sucked for me because i love
Seeing information being spent i love seeing you know members really going in and really creating these songs for their deans and how to greet different organizations i love seeing that because it just gets people in a good mood and when you spit your information and you know what you’re saying you know
Your founders you know your mission you know your purpose you know everything about your organization you want to share that to the world you want to be introduced as you should not onnoma no no freaking video you feel me and no offense to the people who are okay with that
I’m not throwing shade at the new people that have came into these organizations at this time it just sucked for me and i just feel sorry for the people who have been able who had who basically had this opportunity and the experience ripped from them because of kobe but
Kobe is not a person so we can’t fight you feel me um i just hope that you guys are happy and you know hopefully you’ll be able to do something on campus on your campuses um around other people you know in the near future but
I do i do feel like covet messed up you know the experience for a lot of young men and women who have recently crossed i do feel that way and you know that’s just sucks as far as the whole legacy topic i feel like i’m not a legacy
Okay nobody in my family besides me um prior to me joining was in a greek organization i was the first in my family to join a greek organization now i personally feel like legacies are not giving given a fair chance to go through the full process and be made whatever
You want to call it okay um or these these these ladies a fair shot because they were legacies and because the position of where their mothers were so whether their mother was like the president of the graduate chapter or the president of um or like the undergraduate advisor
Or whoever or what or the graduate advisor whatever the mother was doing um the chapter felt the need to not share information with this young lady because they feared that she would run back and tell her mother now whether she did or she didn’t don’t you think
If you’re a profile and you want everybody to be a sister to each other and you want everybody to be on the same page and not bring in a broken line because ultimately if the line is broken you all paper simple as that argue with me if you want
To but i just feel so passionate about this because it sucks because it’s so many girls who are legacies who are not giving given a fair chance to experience everything that you know the intake process has to offer simple as that for whatever organization i’m not speaking for my organization i’m just
Speaking in general so calm your tits okay anyways i just feel like it sucks because legacies get a bad rep because they feel like other people either you’re jealous of this person you feel like oh you shouldn’t whatever i don’t know but legacies don’t do nothing
I had a legacy on my mind wanna you know like you know like i just feel like everybody should be giving a fair shot and a lot of people witness that a lot of people understand like oh you know like if you’re pro fight somebody who’s bringing you into it you probably
Intimidated or scared or really just wanted that bad that you gonna listen to whatever your profile say if your profile is telling you act different towards this legacy you’re gonna do it and then you’re gonna come out with these preconceived notions about this person that you’ve never taken the time to talk to
Nor have a like just just get to know you just gonna listen to your to your profile because oh my profile said don’t talk to her and treat her differently so i’m gonna do that where is the sisterhood in that just let me know where the sisterhood is
In that you know what i’m saying like and it sucks because there’s so many legacies that go through that and i’m speaking like i’m a legacy i’m not and i did not go through this but i have had girls reach out to me and say on paper not by my own choice because
They didn’t give they didn’t choose to give me a chance to see if i was going to run my mouth or not so now they looking at me funny the people on our yard is looking at us funny like we have broken line people see that and y’all think it’s
Cute and it’s not because it’s just like nobody deserves to go through that nobody deserves to be the outcast when you’re being brought in to a sisterhood after didn’t do it we don’t know if she did but i would like to think she ain’t do it you know
What i’m saying she didn’t treat nobody differently just because they were you know their mother was whatever you know like you could just have a simple conversation i feel like people don’t communicate no more if we talk about what’s going on and what you know i’m saying like greek
Life would not be as played out as it is right now and that’s just how i feel about it love you feel me so y’all let me know down in the comments what you think do you agree with me do you feel like that you don’t know
What you’re talking about i’m here i respect it i’ll receive it but this is just my opinion i’m not coming for the legacies um i’m not coming for the people who aren’t legacies because i’m not a legacy but i just i do feel like legacies get a bad um
They just get seen in a bad light and it’s not fair because if the uh if the shoes on the other foot or you know vice versa y’all probably wouldn’t like it whoever is doing it to them you know what i’m saying and it just sucks because
Now you got this person that’s feeling like oh i don’t relate to these people they don’t even want to give me a chance like that sucks and that’s not what sisterhood and brotherhood is about so yeah it just goes to show you that everybody that gets these letters do not deserve them
