Because I’ve been thinking that in life steps are very important steps are very important important so this Parable but to but to the Bible this story is well known as The Prodigal Son is one of those masterful stories and this is the setting for this passage that I want to

To come home and he wanted to make a point he wanted to make a point on this verses uh to these Pharisees because along the way they were pareses and Sadducees who were criticizing Jesus it was like his audience the Bible says a large crowd were going out along with
Him and he turned and said to them and then of course it talks about it talks about uh he was talking about to the pareses because uh he’s being criticized and what Jesus was doing and in this message message of what Jesus had for his audience is no other
Than that no matter what goes on a person’s life how far down they get how how broken we are how sinful how Wicked how vile we are there is always an open door to forgiveness and New Beginning salvation forgiveness and new beginning if that were not true
If that were not true you I will not be standing here and you will not be sitting there if if that were not true you will not be there we will not all be here because what we will all be sentenced because of our sins we sinned
Against God so I want us to look at this particular Parable in life first of all to look at the simple step that this young man steps that this young man took to get where his where he was why is it that that our title is The Walking
Dead so this is not the Walking Dead that in your mind right now maybe in your mind right now the The Walking Dead in the uh movie or theer in the Netflix but this is in the Bible his first step was what was the satisfaction he was at home he had
Everything in the world he needed he could imagine his father took good care of him he had a great future but he was what he was dissatisfied probably because his brother has passed on some news that he’d received from people around on his country maybe we could
Picture out the story it was how beautiful and they were saying that on this country where we have been all the women there are so good and all the the men are so good and it was a very good place it was a wonderful place and and so on they went on talking
And so he became dissatisfied he looked around him he looked around him and became dissatisfied not because he didn’t have usually right we are just dissatisfied because we want more something more but this young man was dissatisfied not because of what he has because again he has everything he
Wanted his father took good care of him because of what he didn’t uh he didn’t have what he needed but because of what he heared and watch this he because of what he heed because of the stories that he he with his brother and the people going on and off on their
Turf so because of what he he watch this carefully be careful of what you listen to and secondly that dissatisfaction created inside him a desire desire within him next slide desire and that desire was to be able to enjoy something uh and that desire was to be able to enjoy something in life
Other people had mentioned to him and so he sort of tired of leaving of what he has there had everything he wanted but something deep down he had everything he wanted but something deep down inside of him inside him had a stronger desire and I can tell you what that desire is it’s
The old nature it’s the craving of sin is our very old nature is there to expose its craving that uh and then after the desire then enter the deception then the deception came deception in his de uh decision so I I may forgot to put so this deception but before decision his
The deception entered Pur deception in his thinking because uh because well this is not the way I want to live he was talking to him himself this is not the way I want to live I want to live I I don’t have I don’t have to live on
This way I don’t I don’t have to go to church I don’t have to you know to pray to to read the Bible I’m missing something in life there there is too much fence around me I want to enjoy life I think I just need to make some
Decisions here and change things just a little bit so he made a what after the de the the deception then enters then it cames the decision next Slide the decision step by step he made a decision he made a decision to leave to leave his parents
To leave his brother to leave his sister to leave his home to leave his the security of his his house so he made a decision he leave all this stuff that made him sick of it tired of all this he said I’m tired of all this I’m going to enjoy life for
A change that and that’s what you know what and that’s what every poor sinner says at some point in life we says that I want to enjoy life I want to enjoy life I want to change something which means I want to live what I have and
Going to involve myself in some things that probably wouldn’t be acceptable to somebody but you know what I must enjoy life I must enjoy life even if it doesn’t acceptable so decision so it’s always the decision that is what that is dangerous so we must be be careful
Dangerous and so what follows after the the decision he left departure his next step so our first step was desire deception decision departure our fourth step right now is departure next so after the decision he left he packed up his good for the goods he wanted he didn’t packed up
Many what he decided not to pack up many because of what because he wants uh he wants he wanted change if if I’m already at that place I want to buy something new I want I I I don’t want to be to be what I like what I’m like before so he
What he left like somebody new he would like he would want to be somebody new he’s leaving his old self behind him and so he was leaving he left against his father’s will of course but then he left his father could not do nothing even though his father don’t want him to live
And after the departure then comes the what the Delight our first our P step is the light and that is and that is was new he had he had plenty of money because he was asking if in his inheritance so he had plenty of money he dressed well he had any kind
Of transportation that he need maybe at that time s if we compare it to our times right now he was riding a Lamborghini a Ferrari a sports car maybe that time he was on our time maybe maybe on his time he was riding a chariot or something like that
So all the things was new to him uh that they would have had in those days but he had everything he wanted his dreams were coming through he was sick and tired of living up yonder and Y in some distant place when all these folks down here
Having such a big time I want to go on on to a big city so he wanted to to to to transfer into another big city he wanted to meet new women or maybe a new pub Pub house something like that so I want to leave and so instead of asking
Is this wise instead sometimes in life uh instead of asking is it unwise or unwise what was his decision I want to leave and so instead of asking is this unwise or unwise I want what it has to offer I want what it has to offer so
Naturally he began to enjoy it but like every person who tastes sin and every person who chooses to walk away from God after the money began to run out after his friends began to run out after all the women began to run out after all his expensive clothing were all turned into
It worn out what he became the scripture says he became very disillusioned watch this carefully sin will always leave us leave you very disolution you may think it’s going to satisfy you but it cannot because sin cannot satisfies you you will say sometimes we will say uh when we go to
The bed when we close our eyes we we realize that sin cannot satisfies us and it will just leave us only what very disolution very dis disappointed because what we’re not leaving on God’s will when you get by yourself and you close your eyes at night you think about the reality you’re not
Happy because what you’re leing out of the will of God you’re not happy he became what he became dissolution so what happens the further down you go in wrong thinking in wrong use of your money in wrong use of relationships taking advantage of other people
And all that rest that goes on a sinful lifestyle what happens he began to feel hopeless because he knew when he left home it was going in his thinking when he left home it was going to be an awesome wonderful experience but what sin leaved him very disappointed I
Remember let me share you a short story uh on our church in my province capis uh one of our member uh when uh during the pandemic uh we held like Bible studies every day so this one person uh this one person that we know
We uh we visited him and so on uh so it’s a good thing that he AC he accept Us in his home because this person was the leader of one of the most famous right now in the Philippines one of the most famous uh Brotherhood or we can say Fraternity in
The Philippines you know TR kilion so he’s he’s the leader of the T kilion gang in capis and so this man was you know going on and off at the prison and so we we’re so glad that he accepted us to listen to God’s word and so he decided so we
Invited him after the Bible study kept on going we DEC decided to invite him to our church and so he also went but the one thing that we didn’t knew and then but uh so so the story goes on after after the long Bible study after almost half a year this man
Decided to receive Christ as his personal savior through baptism but before but before that so after the baptism uh we want him to share his experience and that before when we were inviting him like the first month or the second month the third month that he was going
On our church he was bringing a gun at he said on his experience because the reason what because he was scared that maybe if he will not bring any gun on the way his enemies will Ambush him so you see this is what what this is
Because of sin in Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death it will leave us very dissolution very satisfied so it and in Romans 623 for the wages of sin is death it does not it does not mean that physical death but it also means that to what death to
Security death to peace just like this man that I’ve shared I tell you this his story he cannot he cannot go to church at peace because of what because his enemy he’s afraid that his enemy will Ambush him along the way but later on he said
But later on you know what before before he he before after the baptism he decided not to bring his gun anymore he said because I have received Jesus Christ even if I die today even if my enemy will Ambush me I am fine with that
Okay he is at peace so only so sin cannot satisfy us my friend so that’s the point be sure your sins and S and our sin will find us will find you out and you get away with it we cannot get away with it and so he finds himself now
Everything’s gone this young man The Prodigal Son he founds himself all that he has was now gone he thought about his father and that the household and how and know and now he thinks about them he lost it all and he’s trying to feed hugs so the Bible
Mention HS he was feeding with hugs just to exist and then by the grace of God he become he comes to himself and he begins to think about what he used to have and heads on to his father and he heads home he heads home to his father
Friends and now we have here our last step was actually despair so he was in despair he was he ended in hug pen and after that friend it what you know what happens happens to the father because now we all know what happens to the son
This was his steps he was so broke he was so he was in dis he was in total despair he was hopeless he was very dissolution and now we all know what happened to him and now what happens to the father because I tell you that the
Real story in the story of The Prodigal Son the M the male lead the the the the lead of this story is not the prodal son it was his father it was his father so now we’re going to look at the steps of the father
While was while his son was you know in Despair and in total dissolution so the first step next slides for the first steps what was the father’s steps the father First Step was what a Wounded Heart when he told his father what he was about to do he W he
Wounded his father’s heart you’ve got to be I know that you got to be a dad to know that maybe because when we say goodbye to each other oh Dad Mom to our parents I have to to go now I have to to live on my own
So it wounded their heart so the father has a wounded heart I want my part when he said I want my part of my share and The Inheritance I want to live a little but I thank you Father for being good to me but I got to leave
Some I’m sick and tired of being around you and being told what to do I’m uh uh I’m told to do and have limitations on my life I hear I hear from the stories of people who coming up up and down the road telling me where they’ve been and
What they’ve been doing so that he wanted to leave he his father’s heart was wounded his father was thinking why do you want to live everything that you want provide I already provide it why do you want to live so his father could not understand it so he it leave him disappointed so
But you see people who are living in sin and who want who wants to sin against God they don’t they don’t see they don’t see the next thing and notice what will happen who wants to to to live on their own they don’t they don’t know what’s you know what’s
The what’s the consequence so his the father was has a wounded heart and the next step was what his father wondered he wondered about him continuously just like you as a parent so parents just like you your son your daughters left they’re living in another country or maybe they’re right now watching from
You watching online a parent your son or your daughter is going to pic of course they wondered they wondered of what’s the situation of my daughter right now of my granddaughter of my grandson of my grand uh of my son so they’ve been wondering how they’re doing financially
How they’ve been doing how’s how’s their circle of friends do they have a lot of friends do they do they do they eat three times a day so they have a wondered heart next slide po so they’ve been wondering so but so after that in the
Midst of all that his what his his next step after after he’s been wandering the third step of the father was waiting amidst of all that he’s waiting for him patiently and how many fathers right now how many fathers and mothers grandmothers grandparents have been waiting for us patiently to go back to
Come back who deliberately willfully walked away from God they’ve been one they’ve been wanting they want to live their life on their terms schedule they want to enjoy something things in life that were for that were forbidden in their home because their parents were spiritually
Minded and they said ah I all knew that I know that I have read the Bible so they’ve been wondering if they still read their Bible he was watching for him and you know what after he’s been waiting for him his next step was what next slide his next step was
Wanting his son to return soon he wanted him to return soon he couldn’t come soon he couldn’t come soon enough he wanted his son to no matter what kind of shape he was no matter his situation no matter he’s what he’s been doing in his life or
In her life the father wanted his son to return soon and so the scripture says couldn’t be soon enough naturally and I’m sure his brother probably had some words to say also about him if if how’s his brother also he wanted him back watch this carefully I don’t know who you are where
Where you’re living in life and what’s going on you’ve walked away from God you know what you’ve walked away from God but the way back is just one step ahead no matter how far you’ve walked away from God the way home is one steps one step
Ahead he wants you and of course after he wanting his son to return his next step was and then so he wanted him to return soon he couldn’t but he couldn’t come soon he couldn’t come soon enough he wanted his son to no matter what kind of
Shape he was he wanted his son to return soon because what he want he wants to welcome him welcomed his son home and if you could imagine that was looking at if we could imagine if we could imagine if we could picture out the story his father
Was W wandering on the street I hope that my son will come soon he was waiting for him from and along the way while he was there every day waiting for his son to come soon but still he did not stop wanting him to return soon but along the way there was
A man who was walking not far away but this but this young man he saw this was not the same man who left dressed well this son this young man who was walking back home was a young man wearing worn out clothes that one day he was looking and standing out there
Looking watching waiting and there’s something about that guy walking up on the road that looked a little familiar not too much he the way he carried himself and he looked and he suddenly didn’t look but the guy he knew it was him his son finally he realized yes that’s him that’s him
What he what did he do he didn’t stand he didn’t just stand and look at his son and he didn’t just look he said everything uh he didn’t just look but instead he what he ran off he ran immediately and hugged his son he hug he
Hugged his son not not not not asking of what he you’ve been doing of not I told you not to leave on my side look what happened to you he did not said that he did not say that he just what no matter what what the look the looks of his son
No matter how broken how Wicked how vile of what of he’s been doing of his life he just what the scripture says he just hugged him he hugged him he hugged him and he hugged him and he kissed him and he kissed him and he kissed him and
While his son you know was was still confessing his sin father I have sinned against heaven and in your sight I am no longer worthy to be called your son he did not listen to that he just what he just did what he just hugged him
Friends the step to heaven the step way back home to God is just one step ahead no matter how far you’ve gone through God was picturing for us humanly speaking here in this story Jesus was particular particular ularly saying God was picturing for us humanly speaking
How God feels when you get right with him because you know friends this story the story of the prodigal son is our story this is our story and this miracle is also our Miracle where you came from and you didn’t and you wouldn’t doubt tell anybody where or what you’ve been
Doing you just blown it out badly down down I want to tell you this the same father father who waited for his son is the same loving Jehovah Yahweh Elohim who wait who is waiting for you right now to come to him to come back to him this is all about the
Heavenly father who loves us and who forgives us the Bible says that the wages of sin is death but you don’t have to die in sin the world the word the world of people living in sin because what because they have chosen to disobey God yes the world the world right now is
Abundant in sin but you know what because we choose to disobey God but you know what no matter how abundant our sin is God’s grace still exceeds our sins that’s the grace of God so so sitting there how many of you who are watching or listening right now
That’s what you’ve done you came from a home where your mother and Dad read the Bible while they went to church and you decided not to do that to out grew them because it’s oldfashioned friends it’s just one step ahead the church is waiting for you the
Church is waiting for you to come back to come home why uh if you’re fa if if you are you know if you feel that you’re ashamed just go back to God just like The Prodigal Son no matter his his looks when he goes back to the father no
Matter what his looks right now he just goes back to God he just goes back God uh that the thought you thought was going to make you happy and do not made you happy and so you tried this and you tried that and you try the other and
Then you’ve tried but still what everything the world has tried and you realize you’ve done yourself you know you you’ve done yourself to the foolish now go back to Jesus after all that sin he is still waiting for you he will change your life he’ll restore you he
Will do for you what you cannot do for yourself and so for this father he was so grateful to have his son back he didn’t have to hear a bunch of confession he just want to celebrate to celebrate and what it says in this the heart of God is so tender he rejoice
When a sinner comes home he rejoice when a sinner comes home so today Friends next slide that our last slide is what is forgiveness acceptance restoration and rejoicing today God when you confess your sin when you goes back to God he is faithful and just to forgive to forgive and to
Cleanse you from all your iniquities but he just not he he does not just want to forgive you he wants to accept you and he does not just want to accept you he wants to restore you he wants you to to to wear his clothes to wear his grace
