What’s up y’all so y’all see the title right y’all see the title the christians either denounce their letters or christians even plays in the first place right so hey this is my piece on it let’s get into it let’s get into it yeah i’ve been getting you know i think it’s time
I finally made this video right because i get a lot of people whether they’re in some sororities or fraternities or they’re interested in um pledging fraternities sororities that you know hey how do you balance right how do you balance um does it take away from your christian walk does it take the focus
Off of god is it idol all these different questions right um especially people that are interested in getting into it um hey i want to first i want to first say this um for anybody for anybody that is interested in greek organizations right and i’m i’m specifically talking about the
Divine nine specifically alpha alpha because that’s what i’m a part of right if anything that’s sex football um acting entertainment fraternity it’s the word if anything is taking you away from your relationship with jesus christ right you need to do what you need to do in order to make sure that relationship
Is right right um i don’t care what it is that has to come first that is has to be priority in your life right so i would never tell anybody hey you know you can do x y and z and if you feel like it’s combating your relationship
With jesus christ because that is the most important thing right um so with that being understood first um i also want to say man i i look at things a little differently right um i know you people are probably seeing a whole bunch of things about this um about people
Denouncing their letters or or you know saying oh that’s bad christians shouldn’t do this christian plays x y and z right um my perspective like i said is a little different um i’m a part of alpha alpha fraternity incorporated and we was founded in 1906 by seven men that wanted to trailblaze
And start something new right on the campus of cornell university in ithaca new york they decided that they wanted to create a community a brotherhood right um that they can lean on each other that they can sharpen each other’s iron sharpens in each other right um they wanted to
Create a organization right founded on biblical principles right on christian principles um that that they can you know be a part of right be a part of because in 1906 um if you look like me especially on ivy league university there wasn’t a whole lot of men like you
Right um so they wanted to build that community and they started something great that even now right over 100 years later is still thriving and flourishing right um and so many other fraternity sororities follow suit after that right so with that being said the foundation of my fraternity um is christian
Principles right that that is the foundation that is at the core now with that being said look like i said 100 years later there are people that believe a whole bunch of different things that are part of my organization that are brothers of mine right um some worship whoever some you know do
Their own thing live a different lifestyle that’s them that’s that individual right um but the core of the alpha fraternity incorporated is was founded on biblical and christian principles right that is the most important thing now like i said you have people that do a whole bunch of
Different things and live a whole bunch of different ways right um and that’s their decision that’s their choice but that that does not change um the core principles of alfalfa fraternity incorporated right now like i said i look at things differently right god has molded me and trained me up being a
Whole lot of different fields right from athletics to entertainment um to the whole you know christian influencer thing to art to poetry to a whole bunch of different avenues right um and i think he trained me he trains us right to be a light inside of darkness right
So for me i always look it and take it as a charge like nah chris yes there’s a lot of people that believe a whole bunch of different things that doesn’t see maybe not doesn’t see the christian principles in this organization i look at it as a it’s a challenge to show i’m
Going to be the light in this dark world right i’m going to show people that no you can be that light right you can’t live by chris christian principles and and ultimately an assignment with jesus christ right but still be all in these other industries right in these other fields
Right whether it’s entertainment right we know how to entertain we know how hollywood can get right whether it’s in sports being nfl nba we know how what comes with that to greek life obviously if y’all seen other videos you know what comes with that so look as christians if we were just not
Getting involved in anything that is not of darkness then we might as well not even go out into this world right he trains us to go out and be that light in that darkness to go take territory that’s something god’s been telling me a lot this year is to go out and take
Territory so that’s what we’re doing we’re going down we’re taking territory we’re showing people that no man you can go in the entertainment industry you can stand firm on the word right and you can thrive and flourish you can do that in entertainment you can do that in sports
You can do that in greek life you can do that whatever do you got to make sure you got your arm on do you got to make sure you got a strong community do y’all make sure your faith is strong heck yes you got to make sure you battle test it
No doubt about it however that’s why we train that is why we train to go out and be that light in this dark world so i look at it like that right i look at it like that i’m going to be chris king right first ambassador of
Christ that is that is my identity that has always been my identity and that’s never going to change whether it’s an athlete whether it’s entertainment whether it’s in law whether it’s in greek life that is never going to change my identity is in jesus christ right now he’s given me opportunities to have
Influence in all these other different areas right i need to use that to glorify him and to bring people closer to him so i’m gonna stand firm on my letters right you see it i’m gonna stand firm on it and plus i’m a legacy right so my dad
He did a really good job of teaching me those core principles from a very young age right and i’m going to stand firm on those principles those godly principles and i’m going to be a man of god and i’m also going to be an alpha right and i’m going to hold that standard
I know you know a lot of people from martin luther king to a whole bunch of people right that was part of my fraternity and loved the lord and was ministers and did a bunch of great things so it’s definitely possible is it hard probably is it hard on college
Campus nowadays of course most definitely but i take that charge i took that charge to say you know what i’m going to stand firm i’m going to be that man of god and be that light in the darkness and not just shy away from it right so yes i just want to encourage
Everybody right i want to encourage everybody that whether you’re in a fraternity or sorority you’re kind of debating a you know denounce my letters or should i should i not man i mean look like i said like i said in the beginning you have to do his best for your
Relationship with jesus christ but man if you look at it like me and like you know what i’m going to stand firm and i’m going to be that light in that darkness right i’m going to show people that no yes i’m a part of this organization however i am a christian
I’m a christ ambassador first and we’re going to get souls baby we’re going to get souls so i i take hey that’s how i approach it right that’s how i approach it so like i said i want to encourage you if you’re kind of wavering man get into the
Word and making sure you stay connected first right because look the devil’s gonna try he’s gonna come at you right if you’re trying to take territory especially in these big industries right and these spears of influence he’s coming at you right he’s coming at you
But you got to be able to discern um are you just scared of being in that darkness right is that fear that’s leading you or is that conviction right you got to be able to discern the difference now look if it’s conviction and god’s telling you hey i need you to
Focus on me then do what you got to do right i’m a firm believer do what you got to do but for me how god is kind of just training me up and kind of giving me hey let’s go out and let’s take let’s let’s go take territory let’s go get
These souls right so look and if you are debating whether man should i join a fraternity or sorority should i not like i said you have to make sure your identity is in jesus christ first if you don’t know your identity in that then no you shouldn’t to be honest you shouldn’t
Join the football team you shouldn’t join the drama club you shouldn’t get an entertainment you shouldn’t start saying you shouldn’t play you shouldn’t do a whole bunch of things if your identity is not jesus christ first but once that identity is solid and you know you’ve got the community and you’re
Rolling right and you’re trained you’re battle tested man go out and take some territory right go out and take some territory that’s what it’s all about we’re going out and winning souls we’re not just sitting back waiting and being you know uh light and light right
I mean don’t worry it’s great you got to go to church you got to do all these things be a part of that community but man we gotta go out into the world and go and go take territory and go get these souls right so like i said if

Want to encourage y’all i just want to encourage y’all look like i said do what works for y’all but this is just my perspective on it i’ve always heard people you know denounce the letters and do this and do this um which is look it’s all good but for me
Nah i’m way these letters proud right but the first thing you’re gonna know about me is i’m a christ ambassador right so i’m going out and getting sold that’s why my name is christ is king and that’s first christ is first in everything i do right including being an
Alpha um but look we’re standing tall and we you know we’re doing what we got to do right we’re doing we got to do in all these different industries and all these different spheres of influence to stand firm and to shine to shine for god
Just to give him all the glory so look that’s my peace man i just want to leave y’all with a little something i know i’ve been seeing a whole lot of things like this um going on so i just feel like i address and give my perspective
On it look if you disagree look i get it um if you agree cool do your thing right just make sure you battle test it make sure you got that strong community and make sure you enter the word right you have your identity in jesus christ but
