To get on here and talk about something that I felt led to share and so I have my notes I’m going live here on Facebook and on YouTube because there are just some people that I know who need to see this um who may not necessarily have Facebook but I will be
Able to share it with them through YouTube so thank you so much for tuning in thank you so much for catching the replay um and I’m just gonna go ahead and get right into this as people are joining on here so um this isn’t a video that I really was expecting to do
Um but like I said I really felt impressed upon to go ahead and do it and I want to be obedient okay and so as you can tell by the title um I am a former member of a black Greek letter organization I think I’m going to refrain from
Sharing which one if you hear the kiddos in the background forgive me I’m at my mom’s and so we’re you know just having family time but I needed to go ahead and do this and so I was a member of a black Greek letter organization really up until uh the beginning of this
Year and I’m not going to share the name of the organization if I slip up and share it that’s okay but um it’s not one second hey guys I’m on I’m on a car I’m on a car um I don’t really intend to uh because I don’t think that it is super relevant
Now I’m on here on Facebook too because I have a lot of friends and family members and they already know that I’ve been a part of this organic Organization for about 15 years um and so they’ll know which one it is but uh before I really get deep into it I wanted to
Kind of talk about why I am doing this video and so I want to just preference this video by saying that you know I want to come in the spirit of love this is not a video that is intended to condemn while it may and I hope it does convict um
Hey guys give me a second I’m on a live video can you guys head to the back room um I do hope that it convicts um but it’s not in any way meant to condemn I’m really coming from a place of love and the word of God talks about is being
Watchmen right and so I wanted to share um the scripture from Ezekiel 3 18-19 it says when I say to a wicked person you shall surely die and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their
Life that Wicked person will die for their sin and I will hold you accountable for their blood but if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways they will die for their sin but you will be saved
Yourself and so I believe that um one of the things that God is calling me to do is to be a Watchman and that you know I’ve been talking about praying for uh against a spirit of deception for quite a while and I think that with that
We do have a responsibility to share when we do see that there’s something that could be causing harm or danger to another member of the body of Christ because we’re all part of one body right and so it’s not enough for us to say oh well I’m good or you know I’m I’m
Making I’m making a new choices I’m being obedient but not share that with other people also I want to prefaces was saying that this video is really intended for um people who are believers uh who believe in Jesus Christ who consider themselves followers of Jesus Christ meaning you respect the Bible you
Revered the Bible as God’s word um and the reason why I think that it is important to point that out is because if you’re listening to this and you have no um you feel no obligation to follow God’s word or to care or consider what God is saying about this then
It’s it may fall on on deaf ears um also this is for people who may be a part of these organizations or who desire to be a part of these organizations and so um again I’m speaking from a place of experience with that and so if you’re a private
Organizations or you desire to be and you also are a believer in Jesus Christ and the follower of Jesus Christ then I hope that you will tune in also I want to talk about um just possible barriers right to receiving what it is that I’m saying and
So in Matthew Jesus gives a parable where he talks about different types of soil and so um this is Matthew 13 3-9 and then 18 through 23. and so he talks about uh this farmer who goes out is the parable of the sower Sosa were and he’s sowing his seeds and
He talks about how when he’s sewing these seeds uh some of the seeds scattered and fell along the path and the birds came right in and ate them up right and then some of the seeds fell in Rocky places where it didn’t have a lot of
Soil and so it sprang up quickly but because it was shallow soil and they didn’t have deep root uh when the sun came up um the plants were scorched and they whipped it away because they didn’t have any root and then also there were other seeds that fell among thorns and so they
Did grow up but the Thorns choked out the plants that grew and then there were other seeds that fell on good soil and there was a crop produced from that soil and it yielded 160 or 30 times what was sown Whoever has ears to hear Let Him
Hear and so I want you to remember that whoever has ears to hear what I’m saying let them hear what I’m saying okay and so the disciples asked Jesus about the parable because they wanted to understand what he meant by these different types of soil and so he said
Anyone that hears a message about the kingdom and does not understand it the evil one comes and snatches it away what was sown in their heart so that’s again like the birds coming right in and taking the worm so this is the seed that
Was sown on the path so it just kind of it drops there you’re not taking it in you’re not hearing what what is being said you’re not receiving it fantasy that falls on Rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and that once they receive it with joy
But since they do not have root they only last a short time and when trouble or persecution comes because of the word they quickly fall away and so that’s when you hear the word of God and or you know the the Gospel of Jesus Christ or maybe you hear
When I get ready saying you’re like oh yes like I understand like I knew you know something was going on X Y and Z but then when you start thinking about the persecution that may come or the ridicule or the mocking or just the discomfort that comes from actually
Taking root of that word and moving forward with it then um it can come uh it’ll it’ll fall away quickly and then they see that falls a month Thorns that refers to the person who hears the words but the words of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth
Choke out the word and make it unfruitful so maybe you hear this maybe you’re like okay I really want to join a certain organization my mama was in and my grandma was was in it and you’re hearing this and you’re like ooh okay you know maybe I need to take pause on
That but then you’re like um no I I think this is what I want to do because I want to rock these letters I want to do X Y and Z and then they receive that fall some good soil which refers to someone who hears the word and
Understands it so some people are going to understand exactly what I’m saying um and and it doesn’t have to be immediately I’m gonna go into a little bit about the process that I went through to get to the place where I was ready to denounce and it wasn’t immediate it
Wasn’t that I heard this or I or I uh came to like somebody told me or even pointed and then the next day I’m like yep you know and I’m gonna talk a little bit about why I think that is and why I think that that is okay that you do have
To walk through that process and so um you know just to kind of get started uh when you join an organization or you have joined an organization you entered into an oath in a covenant more than likely I’m I don’t know every organization but I know I’ve been around
Long enough to know how most how most of them work you enter into a company you enter into an old Covenant is a promise a covenant is something that you’re tying yourself to something that is a lifelong commitment some of these things may be ringing a bell to you
Um and you’re essentially saying that you are yoked or committed to this organization the values of this organization the missions of the organization the history of the organization and this is similar to like when you get married and you join a covenant you say this is a lifetime a
Lifelong commitment that I’m making to this other person um through better reward worse than richer or poorer right till death do us part uh do Blood Sweat and Tears and so I want to just create that framework because sometimes after we get done with this show and after we get done
Um making these vows essentially um we forget about what we did the process that we went through and what actually happened right uh because you know we just get caught up in everything else that comes along with being a part of this organization which are you know
There are some real really good parts about I have made some amazing friendships and relationships through this organization if um you are one of those people and this is our first time talking about this uh you know charge it to my my head and not my heart I’ve met so many people and
Have established so many relationships that it would be a very tedious process to talk to each person individually but I have reached out to people I have talked to people um as God brought to my to my heart to reach out to and it was clear after I had those conversations why God
Highlighted those people for me to speak to um but yes I do want to say that and so uh if we go over to Exodus it talks about um having other gods right and so this is the part where you like wait hold on whoa and I think actually before I go into
That I want to kind of talk a little bit about uh my story and why you know how I got to this place and so you know a couple of years ago now I be it began I began to see a little bit more uh of people speaking about this topic right about
Um organization or for Fraternity sororities and the different thousand different Oaths and you know what that meant and those sort of things and I was I would be reading like the comments on there people would be strongly defending the organizations now I was not at a
Place yet of acceptance I was still in denial and I was like uh like you know you know I don’t really want to uh I don’t I don’t know right like I’m like I can kind of see where they’re coming from but like I don’t like there’s so much good to it right
But one of the things my very first points of conviction wasn’t really so much the the people who were putting out the post but it was because of the response of people in it and how strongly they were defending these organizations and how strong how adamant they were that there was nothing
About them nothing about them that went against the word of God there was nothing about them at all that would give it would give somebody pause if they’re a Believer and I was like well hold on here okay because maybe some of these people didn’t go through a process that I went
Through uh we’ll just say it like that but I it took me back to when I went through the process and I remember as a 20 year old and a 20 year old Christian who had you know grew up in a Christian home had developed a relationship with
God even as a teenager that there were things that came up that uh that challenged me right and honestly what I did during those times was I just tried to like push past those convictions I tried to make excuses for them no differently than the excuses I made for
Fornicating or having sex before marriage well I love this person I’m only with one person we’re gonna get married one day I did the same thing I was 20 year old 20 years old then and I was around that age during um this intake process right but that’s to say that
I knew and what Holy Spirit was bringing back to my remembrance were some of the things that came out of my mouth some of the actions that I took and how I felt in that moment in those moments I felt that I was compromising I felt that I
Was doing something that I knew was going against God but I was kind of in my ignorance was kind of like I thank God you know God knows I love him God knows my heart like I’m already in here I can’t I’m not going to be that person
That stops and I wanted to I started something out that I wanted to finish like it wasn’t like somebody forced me to do this like but I wanted to see it through right and so those are the first kind of points of conviction I was like well
Hold on y’all like let’s keep it real here like some of this stuff is a little you know now whether we want to acknowledge it or whether we want to um justify it’s a totally different thing and so you know it was through talking more and even taught my husband down
Came to me and was talking to me about it and that’s when I was like okay you know I started we started learning more about spiritual warfare we had started learning more about um you know demonic assignments and attacks and things that the enemy is
Gonna do tries to do to people and the Bible talks about how excuse me we weren’t out against flesh and blood but against principalities and rulers and evil rulers and dark of dark kingdoms excuse me and I was starting to learn more about this I was leading you know groups in
Our ministry on spiritual warfare and at this point like I had like this organization wasn’t like a daily part of my life where I was constantly thinking about it I I wasn’t wearing like a ton of the paraphernalia um and that’s just kind of like consistent with my personality even like
With my college like it’s a Big Ten school but I don’t wear a ton of it I don’t even know if I own any of my son is a huge fan he wears it so that like I’m saying that to say it wasn’t something it wasn’t that like when I was
Teaching these things I was thinking about it and I was like oh no no I just don’t want to do it I literally I really wasn’t really thinking about it and because you know the organization that I’m in claims to be you know a Christian organization had Christian Founders and things like
That like you know I the church I was going through at the time like we all took a Greek picture together like at church I just wasn’t really thinking about like that and so it wasn’t until you know my husband started looking more into it and was bringing it to my
Attention and I was like okay let me look at my the oh let me look at the oath that I took anything too bad here like this looks you know looks pretty you know good to me looks pretty kosher like I don’t I don’t I didn’t promise to do anything
Crazy I didn’t you like x y and z and uh you know so I thought I was good and it really I think was a few days later Holy Spirit was like reminding me and spoke to me about looking at at my crest and that was just like like well well
What’s yeast okay you know what I mean when I really sat down and I looked at it and uh the different characteristics and what they meant and things like that I was in a bit of a conundrum okay because now it had went from well this
Is something I did when I was younger I’m kind of detached from that process I’ll apologize for the things I did then to what is my uh present in my consistent affiliation with this organization now me and so you know I did with any militant Christian
Would do I was like well I’m gonna just you know repent and I’m gonna stay in the organization and I just won’t wear anything that has the crest on it right I’ll still just you know wear the letters here and there or you know someone says anything to me about it you
Know then I’ll you know I’ll still be a part of it but I won’t you know actively do anything and you know honestly you know just was spending more time with God on it and being becoming more convicted about it it became clear that like no no in this hour like we cannot
Afford to be lukewarm we cannot afford to have one foot in and one foot out and essentially that’s what I would have been doing you know I would have been trying to figure out how to play both sides and I think it’s so important that we have to
Put a stake into where our alliance is and if I’m gonna be aligned to anything it’s not going to be an organization but it’s going to be uh the one true God right and so it became clear that I was gonna have to cut ties with this organization and completely renounce it
Denounce it and repent and not continue to be associated with it um another thing that God brought to my attention was that in doing spiritual warfare and really stepping into my spiritual giftings my gifts and talents and the things that he called me to do
And being used by him you know what does it look like coming against the kingdom of darkness and I’m associated with a false god like a false deity you know what I mean like like I think about the story in the Bible where I forgot what his name is but this
Guy’s trying to like cast out demons and he’s like I’m casting out demons in the name of of the Jesus who Paul believes in who Paul preaches and the demon is like Jesus we know Paul we know but who are you and they beat his butt right and so I’m like no
Nope like it’s not it’s not worth it and so even with that being said it was you know a challenging process and emotional at times but once my mind was made up and I was decided and I understood what it was that I had become a part of and what needed to happen
Then um I was able to kind of go ahead and cut ties and um trying to see what else do I want to say about it so I was able to go ahead and cut ties and um yes I want to get it a little bit more
Into what God kind of wanted me to share about this and so you know if we look over at Exodus 20 verse three through five it says Thou shalt have no other gods before me thou shall not make unto thee any Graven image or any likeness of
Anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water underneath the Earth thou shall not bow down thyself nor serve them for I the Lord thy God am a jealous guy visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth
Generation of them that hate me and so essentially when we are joining these organizations and we are um making these vows and some of the actions that we’re doing in the name of these organizations um we are essentially participating in idolatry and what Exodus is telling us
Is that this is an Abomination this is something that God is not okay with like God it says like I’m a jealous guy like he wants to be our one and only true God and I think I think it’s worth evaluating why we’re even drawn to these things in the first place
Because sometimes we can read the Bible and we can look at uh people who are worshiping idols and things like that and we can say why would they do that right but um you know there’s many reasons a lot of times I think when I look at the Israel likes it looks like
They wanted something they can see they’re like these other nations have these guys that they can see that are tangible in x y and z you know and so you know we have to we have to ask ourselves like why whatever what are these things giving us what are these organizations organizations giving
Us that we feel that we need to be associated with them at the expense of our relationship with God even says um that uh you know the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of them that hate me and what what are we opening
Ourselves up to what access points are we given to the enemy when we are tying ourselves to these organizations um and so you want to consider you want to ask yourself are there any other gods Greek gods maybe mentioned in your organization any um you know have you made the
Organization itself a guy like are you spending more time with your organization than you are even spending with God are you serving your organization but not uh being an active participant in the body of Christ and and using your gifts and talents to serve him
Um you know have you bowed your head to your organization whether it’s in the intake process or or in any way any performative way are you bowing down have you bowed down these are just some things to think about because they may bring to your remembering some things
That can help you to understand why your affiliation or association with these organizations can be in conflict with your um Devotion to Jesus Christ and so um you know if you and if you’re a Believer I would just want to caution you to ask the Holy Spirit right we have
The Holy Spirit and so this is important too because like I said I saw you know people speaking about people who I respect you know talking about how these organizations were um were not godly not biblically based and um I was not immediately moved you know while it
Stirred some thought you know Amy and when my husband talking about it gave me a point of prayer it was not the thing that moves me to actually just go out and do it like yes they said it let me go do it I believe God wants us to worship and
Spirit and in truth so what I believe is that they were presenting me with truth right they were presenting me with sound uh biblical Doctrine and that was the truth aspect of it right we need that but then we also have the Holy Spirit and I believe when we have both of those
Parts we can be in full submission and worship to God if you are if I’m telling you this and you’re like just doing it out of fear or you’re doing it because it’s like well okay she showed me these scriptures let me go do it like yes you know you are are doing
The action but where is your heart and your your intention behind it how does that prevent you from getting into a similar another situation where maybe it’s not your organization but it’s something else that you are um putting in God’s place right um and then in terms of worshiping with
This with the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit is leading you it should be lined up and backed by the word of God like it shouldn’t be that Holy Spirit is telling you something that’s inconsistent with the word of God and so that’s how you’re
Able to worship not just in truth but in spirit as well so if you’re a believer in Jesus Christ then you have the Holy Spirit that is the free that’s the comforter that Jesus Christ left with us and so you need to ask Holy Spirit to
Convict you and to show you the truth if you don’t want to ask to be convicted then you need to kind of think through that as well why what’s why don’t I want to be convicted right um ask the Holy Spirit to show you why you are not convicted so some may say
Well I prayed about it and I didn’t feel like anything was wrong with it or I prayed about it and I feel like you know I should still you know be in the organization and throw up the signs the next one is eat um ask Holy Spirit why don’t I feel
Convicted you know and I’m sure Holy Spirit May May give you some insight I personally think if you’re not being convicted it could be because uh you’re being led more by your flesh than the spirit and that may not just be in this case but there if
You start to really take a step and look at what’s going on holistically in your life and the decisions you’re making holistically are you being led by the spirit of God or are is your flesh overruling maybe this may be an opportunity to fast because when we fast
But that when we fast and that’s the opportunity for us to not be in our flesh because we are actually denying our flesh and to be led by the spirit right um could it be that you love this world too much and again this is coming from a place of
Love this is coming from a place that been there done that you know I a few years ago had to come to the rude awakening that I was way too in love with this world especially for where this world is going and um I didn’t really accept that at first
I’m like I mean I don’t love this world and then it was I mean I love this world but like it’s the only world I know like you know and I had to come to that realization so that could be a thing that’s coming up while you are not being
Convicted is because you love the world too much you love you know the things like the the you know I don’t think that’s enough there um one uh example that kind of came to me when I Was preparing for this was the story of the Young The Young Rich ruler in the
New Testament I didn’t write the description out but you can Google it and there was basically this young rich man that came and asked like how he could be saved and she just told him to sell all your possessions and I believe to give them to the poor and come follow
Me and he walked away sad right and he was discouraged and for some of you when I said when I share this with you and I’m challenging you and you’re feeling convicted and you’re like man like this this means that I’m gonna have to analysis organization that I love that
I’m actively involved that I care about that I have relationships with that I’m part of a legacy of um and you may walk away like that Young Rich ruler and be like man like I don’t want to do that um and that’s understandable like I said
I shared that this was not an overnight process for me either you know but I want to just give you that reference point because again there’s some things in the Bible when we read them that we can look at them and we can judge that person and be like man
Like he had Jesus right there the Messiah and he’s just gonna walk away you know because of his reaches and we’re not thinking about how these you know situations relate to us as well how are we walking away from God when he’s telling us to do something with our head down
And so um I also just want to share How uh you know even if something you may have felt like certain things are acceptable I want to share this scripture and acts um acts 17 30-31 where it talks about how what God once overlooked he’s no longer overlooking
And so acts uh 17 30 says truly these times of ignorance got overlooked but now commands all men everywhere to repent because he has appointed a day on which he would judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained he has given Assurance of this
To All by raising him from the dead and so just a little backstory um in this they were speaking to some men in Athens about their religious artifacts and they say like I can tell that you’re a religious people you have all these like religious like shrines
And you have this one that says to the unknown God so these people that were talking to were searching right they’re looking they’re grabbing things from here grabbing things from here like you know trying to just piece everything together and then they have this one right like to the unknown God meaning
Like we don’t know like what you know about this guy like there’s no artifact there’s no image for us to create and um essentially he was essentially he was making that God known to them he was telling them about the very God that they’re they’re saying is unknown and
He’s saying that that while he was able to overlook this ignorance in the past right oh well we just didn’t know he was unknown to us we don’t know that he’s no longer overlooking it and he in the specificity saying that it’s time to repent because he has an appointed day
On which he would judge the world in righteousness and so judgment is coming guys like even even if this is something where a few years ago you may not heard anybody talking about it or 10 years ago or 20 years ago or 50 years ago when you
First pledge like that’s not now that ain’t it right now like if this is the time where it’s it’s it’s time to start denying ourselves it is time to really uh realize that that it is a narrow way and so you may even be watching this
Like this nah like you’re doing too much or that’s extra or whatever but I am as a Watchman pleading to you that like no like you don’t want to turn an eye a blind eye to this you don’t want to deafen your ears to what I’m saying if
Nothing else you want to take this to the Holy Spirit you want to ask Holy Spirit to show you to open your eyes you know I have been praying for the last couple years now against you know a spirit of deception and recently God has been telling me to pray against a spirit
Of compromise that even after you no longer are up under deception when you have the the the honor to be able to see the truth to be one of his chosen vessels and know the truth Lord give us help us to not have the spirit of compromise or God that we are bold
Enough to not only know your truth but to stand in your truth against a wicked generation to be able to stand up without compromise and declare Lord that you alone are God and so if you are feeling right now like you don’t have it and you’re not able to do that this is
Not to to tear you down this is to encourage you to call out to God to cry out to God and ask him Lord do not let me compromise the word says that even in this hour even the most elect are going to be deceived I do not want you to be
To be deceived you may have been serving God your whole life you may be a pastor of a church you may be a leader who are who are leading other people and you are a part of these organizations and some of the things that I’m telling you you
Remember doing it for whatever your excuses are or justifications you’re making right now and you’re here to ignore them I’m just begging you to open your ears to the Holy Spirit not to me not to my voice but hearken unto the Lord and hear what he is saying allow
Him to lead you and guide you and give you the boldness and the courage to not compromise to stand against um the enemy and against its attacks right renounce these organizations and so I just that just leaves right into one of my what I want to say which is you
Know if you listen to this and you are feeling convicted and you’re you’re feeling pricked you’re feeling pricked in your heart and you’re asking what what do I do now then your next steps is to just talk to your father repent to him repent to your father and renounce these organizations
And I think it’s important to say Don’t just renounce with your words but uh renounce renounce it in Your Heart Right renounce it with your actions and so James 2 17 through 26 I’m not going to read on here but this is where it’s representing that faith without works is dead
And one of the things my husband actually recently kind of brought to my attention when when we were studying this was that this is kind of what it’s talking about with faith without works like a lot of times we talk about Facebook without works as a way to justify us
Um you know being creative or working or planning or strategizing but the examples that he gives he talks about Abraham um he taught and I forgot what the other example was that he gave It’s Gonna Come Back to Me probably after we get off of here but um specifically with Abraham right God
Spoke to him and told him to sacrifice his son and just as he was in the act of doing it God stopped him and he gave him a ram to sacrifice in his place and his righteousness um he was counted as righteous because of his faith he had so much faith in God
That he was like you promised me this son and if you want me to sacrifice him it’s because you’re going to raise him from the dead at whatever case he did not believe that God was really going to take that promise from him but he was
Willing to act on his faith and so it’s not enough to just say something with our words but we have to move in action with our faith and I have to come to that conclusion too at first I was trying to just say like well I just won’t wear it
Anymore I’ll just not talk about it anymore I just want to be around it but after I um like even like early on I remember I was at a um a baby shower because I still have relationships like these are people like these are people I love my sisters right
And I was at um one of my former life sisters baby showers and we were doing a like a line picture and throwing up the mid and this was before I had formally renounced I had just kind of you know renounced in my head or renounced to God
And and you know we’re taking a picture and I was like well this isn’t the this isn’t the time to let them know you know so I just kind of went along with it and I was like man God if I don’t take a stand here how many more of these
Positions am I going to be in like clearly I’m not going to be able to just keep this between me and you like Oh you mean you know that I’m not you know associated with this or I didn’t mean any of that stuff like no I had to as hard as it was
I had to make a stand that I was no longer affiliated with that organization and that meant you know the possibility of losing some of these relationships that were really the most um the best part of being a part of the organization in the first place was the
The relationships that I made and the the true friendships and The Sisterhood um but I will say that up into this how it’s gonna go after this um you know those relationships the truth my true relationships my true friendships have remained intact um but we do have to be willing to
Sacrifice God talks about leaving your mother and father um it talks about variant let them dead Buried buried the dead like God is not playing like we we always you know think about you know his love but like God is very clear of when it comes to like our
Our Allegiance and where our heart needs to be okay so I’m gonna go ahead and wrap it up a little bit because yeah get back to the kiddos um oh and the other example I do want to give is um the story about this couple ananias and Saphira and so this was a
Couple who um I guess in the early church they were all everybody was supposed to be selling their land and putting all their money together and um so this one particular couple they sold their land but they were like we’re gonna hold back a little bit of the
Money and we’ll give them this amount we’ll give them money but when I can tell them about this money we’re gonna keep this money to ourselves but they told them that they that like oh yeah that’s all we got right and um basically laundry sure they both got struck dead just did um
And this was in the New Testament but I think what Holy Spirit want me to highlight as it relates to this is that this was a heart issue right it’s like why not just say hey this is how much you know we want to give or we’re not

Only renouncing with your with your mouth but renouncing it in your heart and renouncing it in your actions and so as I said in the beginning there’s different people who are going to hear this message and um I think the response is the indication of what type of soil

But of course the part about the part about the vows was like the very last one and that part didn’t print but it’s okay because we have the Holy Spirit and we can denounce and renounce things and repent in the name of Jesus so I’m going to go ahead and Hop Off
