Foreign Hey everybody and welcome back to raw material where we discuss real questions with raw answers activating real Faith so in the last episode of raw material I began a series on um the evidence for our faith and things like that I will still be continuing that series however
I’ve been in a huge transition I started that series with my father in New Jersey but the Lord has called me to move to Virginia so I’m here now and I’m gonna actually be finishing that series by myself but this is a topic that I know that that’s
On the Lord’s heart right now and that I’ve been putting off for a long time and the Lord convicted me very strongly about um addressing this and I’ve been putting it off because I wasn’t ready for the backlash that I know I’m gonna get from this video but it’s definitely time for
Me to do it um and so that topic is Greek organizations fraternities and sororities for those of you who don’t know I joined I actually joined a music fraternity when I was in college my undergrad and um let me just say I always felt something was wrong with Greek organizations
Um when I first had the interest to join it looked cool it looked like it was lit you know coming into college nobody really knows about Greek organizations um but like I said it looked like it was cool looked like it was lit but then I came across a couple videos on YouTube
That were showing like and like people denouncing their letters and things like that and um I was just like oh hmm well let me just take a heart on this and but a lot of them were actually uh Divine nines so because I saw those videos of
The um and I’ll probably try to leave some on the bottom so you guys can see for yourself because I actually like I said I didn’t join a divine nine I joined abuse of Eternity so but from what I was seeing based upon these other videos it was just they were talking
About idolatry they were talking about um The Hazing process they were talking about um you know just things you have to do to get in right and so I’m like hmm like you know this this doesn’t seem like something that I should be a part of but
But I wasn’t sure and mind you if you haven’t seen my testimony video I was confused at that stage in my my life I was you know I didn’t know who I was I was um trying to figure out like my identity and I just wanted to be
Accepted and things like that I was down in my faith a lot because of that um I wasn’t in the place to receive whatever was being said on YouTube regarding these organizations it didn’t hold that much weight so but to be safe um I joined a music fraternity instead
Just in case it was indeed wrong and it was like okay the divine nine it might just be the divine nine so I was like okay I might as well just join a music fraternity now don’t get me wrong I love music but I still was trying to make a
Name for myself so I was like let me join something so that I can have an identity and make a names myself so the issue is though as a believer as a Christian as somebody who believes who believes who is a bible-believing Christian and has a relationship with
Jesus Christ two things were two big major things were wrong with this one anybody who joins a Greek organization knows that you have to make a covenant in order to join the organization you have to pretty much Pledge Your Devotion to this thing and that definitely didn’t sit right in my
Spirit but because I was so hungry I was so eager to join something to be accepted by some by people to make a name for myself I I pledge the Devotion to something else outside of God and the problem with this is that God is a covenant keeping God and I’m re I
Realized now more than ever that anything else that we’re we’re giving our our full Devotion to like more than God is considered idolatry and in the Old Testament days God had a covenant with his people they could not stop with their idolatry and so it was like they were worshiping statues
They were picking up other customs and rituals of other other nations and things like that and it it made the Lord upset now the thing about it is he he gave them several times to repent he kept he kept sending the profits to tell them like okay y’all need to repent
Y’all need to repent you’re worshiping these other Idols but so they wouldn’t listen and his wrath did come upon those who didn’t listen um they were having such a hard time turning away from their Idols keep that in mind I’ve even seen some organizations sing worship songs pretty
Much like they won’t say it’s a worship song but it’s a worship song to your organization they’ll take even scriptures that were originally um from the Bible and replaced God’s name with the name of the organization that’s blasphemous and I’ll be honest in that moment when I when my organization
Was singing songs like that I did I was uncomfortable but I was battling with acceptance I was battling with rejection so I’m over here like I didn’t in my spirit I didn’t feel like I didn’t understand and I didn’t know that God was enough for me I didn’t understand
And I didn’t know my identity I didn’t understand and I didn’t know who I was in the Kingdom so I was willing to compromise these things because I was lost and a lot of people don’t realize that that’s the real reason they’re joining is because you’re lost in the
Depths of you you don’t know who you are you’re trying to make a name for yourself you’re trying to prove yourself you want to be accepted you want to be loved but you just or you join it because your family’s joining you attaching your identity because Mama joy
And Dad join sister join you but your identity is in Christ alone and we shouldn’t be willing to compromise ourselves or compromise our walk with God for anybody and that’s just the truth um so a lot of people are out here operating in idolatry with these organizations
And at the time I was too I had I I idolized it because I thought it was gonna give me what I needed you know to be content but it can’t and another thing with these things is that with these organizations you have to do
So much to get in and they don’t accept everybody now that is completely contrary to the nature of God and the spirit of God God doesn’t ask us to do anything to be accepted now these organizations a lot of times they’re trying to break you down to build you back up and things
Like that but there’s they can’t do that because they don’t know how they don’t they didn’t create you in your mother’s womb so they don’t know how to they don’t know how to purify you in the way that’s that’s going to shape you into who you were originally designed to be
Only God can do that and so there’s so much wrong with these organizations and I’ve and I’ve the Lord convicted me and I’m this is an official denouncement I’m denouncing I’ve denounced probably to the Lord but I’m denouncing publicly now because I will not have any of that attached to my name
I’m no longer a part of Sigma Alpha Yoda I will no longer be associated with that and for a lot of people who are looking to join and have joined and are bible-believing Christians why would you want to be a part of something that contradicts the word of God so much
It’s literally contradicting your father like in the nature of who he is and and we’ve and a lot of y’all fight so hard to be a part of these things and fight so hard to defend it that you’re willing to to combat another sister or brother
In the Lord who’s who’s telling you yo this this is not of God you you stick up for it you stick up for it so much you cannot serve two masters like you literally cannot and it’s and it’s honestly and this is honestly the wrath of God this is he’s a jealous God
He wants all of you and people are so stuck on worshiping their idols and so stuck on keeping a name for themselves and a lot of these organizations claim to have Christian principles and they claim to be god-associated but it’s completely not because the spirit don’t even you
Honestly people need to start looking at the Spirit Behind these things the fruit behind it you’re doing this to make a name for yourself and then you recruit people and then you don’t accept them for who they are you try to break them down and you you tell people everybody can’t be a
Part that is completely not of God it is not of God and let’s just be honest let us let’s just be honest and and this is this is the fire and the passion of the holy spirit because it’s a deception it’s the deception of the enemy
These things are not of God we have to accept the truth and you have to repent foreign if you know who God is if you understand his nature you will be able to discern what’s him and what’s not God will never make his love conditional God will never
Say you have to do something to be accepted he already accepts us through Jesus Christ my thing is idolatry is not just Greek organizations you can make anything an idol your your husband wife can be an idol food can be an idol TV can be an idol social media can be an
Adult your job can be an idol and a lot of people are indeed idolizing um careers and things because they join these organizations looking for careers looking for things and they compromise them compromise themselves so they can make sure they have um they can be straight outside of
College or when they graduate but if you really have if you’re really walking with Christ and if you really know the word you’ll know that God works he works in ways that he’ll make sure you’re straight no matter what you’re a part of he’ll make sure that you’re taken care
Of and your destiny is in his hands so we don’t need to depend on people we don’t need to compromise ourselves we don’t need to take an oh we don’t need to worship another thing Let it go lay it down lay it down so we are now married to Christ
We should not be devoted to anything else you cannot serve two masters we got to do better guys God wants his people back he wants the totality of you he wants your heart a lot of these organizations are taking up a lot of space in you guys’s heart
They’re taking up a lot of space in your hearts and the truth is these things can’t do anything for you these things can’t do anything for you they can’t give you salvation when it’s all said and done what are you gonna tell the Lord oh yeah I was a part of this
Organization when you when you meet Jesus on Judgment Day what are you gonna tell the Lord I was a part of this organization yeah I did this in in the name of such and such that that’s completely irrelevant are you devoted to Christ are you serving choosy this day who you
Would serve are you going to serve Christ or are you going to serve the god of your ancestors these idols and these these Greek customs and these things that had nothing to do with God guys the truth is what it is what are you gonna do
What are you gonna do I’m looking down because I’m making sure I’m talking about everything identity this is the last thing I want to say like I said I joined because I didn’t know who I was at the time I didn’t understand who I was in Christ
I didn’t understand who he called me to be I didn’t know who Caitlyn was but when I got to know my father and when I submitted and gave him everything he showed me who I was I woke up and I was like what the Lord showed me what’s inside of
Me he showed me who I was nothing else attached to my name but being created in His image is what gave me his I gave me my identity I know who I am in Christ now and the Bible says he who was in Christ is a new creation
It doesn’t say he who was in aka’s is a new creation he who was in Delta same with Theta is a new creation it doesn’t say he who is in Sigma gamma Rose in New Creation it says he who was in Christ what does that mean we’re creating in
The image of Christ y’all we don’t need anything else to give us our identity if we did the Lord the Lord would have put it in his word make sure you join Greek organizations make sure you do this to be loved make sure you do this
No he said he who is in Christ is a new creation we don’t need anyone or anything else to give us our identity we don’t need anyone or anything else breaking us down to try to give us a new name are you kidding me these organizations give you they SE organizations
Who do they think they are to give you a new identity are you do you do you guys realize what you’re doing when you allow an organization to give you these line names and to give you a new name you’re saying I’m giving you power to give me my identity are you kidding
Not need to be accepted by anyone other than Jesus Christ this is the creator of the universe who wants to have a relationship with you he wants a full relationship with you and we can’t even do enough but let alone our leave our Idols alone the creator of the universe wants a
Relationship with you can you imagine that he wants a full relationship with you and all he’s asking is that you let your Idols go and we can’t even do that this is the creator of the universe we’re talking about here this is not a statue this is not somebody else saying
I want you to let it go this is the creator of the universe I need y’all to think about that this is really heavy on the Lord’s heart guys It’s Time to Let It Go it’s time to go and if this word wasn’t enough I need you to take it back to God
And ask him and like I said I’m gonna leave all the scriptures down below so that you understand for yourself the severity of this so I hope this word convicts you I hope you understand the truth about these things and I hope you take this back to God
For yourself and ask yourself for those of you who may be thinking about joining or who have already joined ask yourself what is the real reason why you joined was it to be accepted was it to be loved was it to be was it to create a name for yourself
Why do you want to be accepted because once you get accepted those things can’t heal you they can’t restore you it can’t give you your identity the way God has God is able to give it to you I’m just a messenger so take this back to to God if this
Video wasn’t enough take it back to him I’m just a messenger but just like a parent has to do pow pow so God has to do pow pow especially when we’re defiant and when we are stubborn but that’s the love of a father he will
