What it do as y’all can tell your girl p is back with another video and this video is like as you can tell by the title eight unpopular opinion um stereotypes about akas so we’re just gonna jump right in the video and i’m sorry y’all if y’all hit me

Sniffing if my voice is a little shaky or anything of that nature i got a little cold so i’m gonna need this to go away um i’m getting my coats going away so because girl gotta go ot we’re gonna be ot with sniffles but anywho let’s get right

Into the video so y’all already know what i’m about to start with the the main thing that’s always said people say that all akas are boujee we’re mean we’re the this word that you see right there and this is not true though this is not true

And i can really speak for myself and some of my ships as well like we are not mean like i just felt like kind of like how i said in my video um on giving greek advice and stuff like that i kind of feel like people take like how we look

Sometimes and just automatically think that we’re mean but don’t get me wrong some people are mean but they’re definitely not all me they’re not all nasty to people and stuff like that so i don’t want people to always feel like or um identify akas with being you know me because we’re not

All me um don’t get me wrong some people are mean but i know me specifically and i know my ships we’re not me sometimes you might see like the outer face or whatever like how i’m looking like at the moment but i’m not mean because if you say

Something to me if you say hey to me if you speak to me if you start to conversate with me and boom you’ll see my facial expression changes and it doesn’t stay the same then i want to say talk about how people say that we’re bougie um now

I don’t i just feel like because you know aka we prissy pink and green and all of that um pretty girls i feel like people automatically always associate bougie with akas but i feel like anybody in a sorority whether they are aka whether they are delta what their sigma gamma rho

Whether they are zeta anybody can be fuji it can be bougie like i don’t think that just because we are akas that makes us bougie like don’t get me wrong like yes i like nice things i like the finer things in life i you know i hold myself to a certain standard

You know i might carry myself a certain way but i don’t think that um makes me like bougie you know i just like nice stuff i just like to carry myself a certain way but other people like to do the same thing not just akas so in the we are

Work so like i just i think that like kind of ties in like with us being like people say we are stuck up or whatever i don’t necessarily feel like nor do i think that um we are all the be worse or we all stuck up i kind of think people get

Getting misconstrued like with being stuffed up and like having like a high maintenance like curing yourself a certain way like having certain standards like liking certain things and like moving a certain way and you know carrying some stuff right i think people get that misconstrued with being stuck up like

Some things like we don’t like and i feel like that’s just like anybody especially like if you’re getting older like some things you look at that you see other people do especially if they’re younger than you and you’re in a different phase in your life you not to say you frowned upon

What other people do when they’re younger but you just choose not to engage or you know you don’t like things of that nature because you’re in a different stage in your life you’re older you’re grown and stuff like that so stuff like that doesn’t phase you anymore stuff like that

Like you don’t care to engage in and like draw your attention to so i don’t want to like i don’t feel like people should necessarily feel like or say that like we’re stuck up or weird to be words and stuff like that because that’s not the case because i actually

Had a good friend of mine who’s a q from alabama he always says every time he’s around us and when he’s always around us he like you know y’all like the most down-to-earth case you know people say caves or whatever like y’all the most down-to-earth cage you know that i’ve came accounts with

Because he said like a lot of akas he came to council with you know they you know like give off some of the things that people say about us but that that’s not all of us that’s why i think that’s why i’m my whole thing about doing this video is

Like kind of like bringing light to like the things that people say um you know about us but that doesn’t fit us you feel what i’m saying i feel like people take those stigmas and they take those stereotypes and stuff like that and they just put it on aka

As a whole so it’s like everybody in the org um and everybody that’s a part of f kept absolutely incorporate is this is that is this is that which is not true so moving on to my next thing that we only pick pretty girls and light-skinned girls

So i don’t i know like way way way back way way back me and way before my time i know there was a point when i know i read about it was a point when like some chapters some places you know some chapters at certain universities

Used to be like girls had to be lighter than a brown paper bag and stuff like that what i read not to say i know how true this is but this is just what some some research and stuff that i’ve seen or whatever and and i guess the stigma became that

Like akas only accept light skin pretty girls and so i’m here to say like pretty is defined in all type of ways we are all pretty by the face we’re all pretty in our personalities we’re all pretty in how we do things we’re pretty in the way we carry ourselves we’re all pretty

Ladies like don’t ever let nobody tell you that you’re not pretty because you are pretty you don’t have to be like skinny because i’m not like saying that i am caramel now i have to be light-skinned yeah i’m so sorry i’m steady there i’m sniffing but you don’t have to be light-skinned

In order to be a part of i’ve kept absolutely incorporated and if somebody say that to you that’s not right at all but then to like a lot of my ships all of us is not like being it like i have life scandal ships i have dark

Skinned ships and i have crime skin shifts and we are all pretty and so as well as everybody in my chapter is you have light skin people have dark skinned people skin people nobody is just like scandi nobody just has long pretty hair that’s another little um you know

Stigma whatever all the girls have long pretty hair don’t get me wrong yes some some of us have nice grades of hair but then you have some of my ships who have really really natural don’t even i have natural hair but i mixed so i mean i don’t

I don’t count but i got you have some of my ships that are have nice you know natural hair that you know that they rock on a daily so it’s not like in other people in my chapter so it’s not like oh we only like pretty girls who like skinny we only

Like girls with long hair we only like skinny girls because let me tell you baby ain’t nothing skinny about me i’m thick as thick and beat thick and the diastic and the booty got the chest baby i’m thick okay i’m thick i will never be skinny

I will never be petite i am thick like that’s just that i have some of my ships who are skinny you have some my ships who are on the bigger side you have some of my ships that are like me so and um other people in um my chapter um

And in general so no everybody is not petite everybody is not skinny aka just does not take on skinny people no aka honestly aka doesn’t even if if you in the right chapter or how it works nobody is looking at oh she’s so so pretty like people want to know if

You’re gonna do work baby like if that’s what it is and that’s just that or whatever and if somebody is and if somebody is at the school that you’re attending and they only picking girls that are this little pretty pretty stigma this little pretty quote line or whatever the case may be

And not picking you based on your um accolades and stuff that you have to offer that’s not right and that’s bogus and that’s just period moving on so this one is like on tap into like we think we better than other people we walk around like a hush

Don’t stank we look down on other people this is gonna be out again so what i have to say about it is i don’t think i’m better than nobody at all because just because i’m an aka somebody can still be doing better than me you know what i’m saying like me being

In a sorority don’t make me better than nobody and that’s just me being 100 like nobody being in the sorority nobody being in a fraternity does not make you better than nobody and that’s just period it’s people out here that can be doing so well in life and can be doing so

Better than you and they’re not in a fraternity or they’re not in a sorority you know what i’m saying so i don’t want people to feel like or you know say that like everybody you know all aka is that we think that because we’re in a sorority

Or whatever we think that we’re better than people or just that we think we’re better than people in general like no we’re not but what i will say is as a lady as a woman you should walk around like you are the [ __ ] because that’s just period

Check like nobody should be able to tell you nothing walk around like you are the [ __ ] but you do it in a manner to where it’s not like oh she thinks she’s better than everybody i think that’s where that’s where it it like get a little misconstrued because

Some people walk around as if you know like you know yeah i am the stuff like i can back up my stuff i’m doing this i’m doing it i got this going for myself i got that going for myself then you have people who do it in a

Nasty way and i think that’s probably where the stigma comes from but y’all that’s not all of us that’s not me so i also want to tie into seeing like we walk around like our [ __ ] don’t stink y’all we go through stuff just like regular people go through

Stuff like i said i think people forget that like we human like i don’t i don’t walk around like i get my [ __ ] together at all like but what i what i’m not going to do also is but i feel like this is just a general sense like whenever you’re going

Through stuff or whenever you got a lot going on or whenever you know you just you in a grind mode or whatever like nobody should really know like nobody should know when you up and nobody should know when you damn like nobody should know when you got the

Bag and nobody should know when you you see you struggling and you ain’t got the bad you feel what i’m saying so i definitely feel like i literally just lost my whole train of thought but yeah so y’all kind of get the gist of what i was just saying

So like i don’t want like people to feel like all akas and we’re all like everything that our name like we’re mean we’re bougie we’re stuck up our aka only takes pretty girls girls got long hair girls is life-candy girls just real skinny stuff like that like no like that’s

That’s not what aka is about at all and if wherever you are and if they are doing that that’s just what that chapter is doing don’t i don’t want you to feel like that’s all aka um that you come and counsel because like i said like

I have a good friend or whatever who’s cute and he’s like every time he’s around us he like man y’all most down earth akas because some akas are some way but that’s not everybody and i think i think this is just a general sense speaking on avcap alpha and speaking on

Other sororities in general that some people fit some of these unpopular opinions stereotypes and stigmas that people have for these orgs some people do fit them but that’s not everybody everybody does not fit these stigmas everybody does not fit these stereotypes you know within these organizations so y’all don’t feel like

Every time you see somebody aka all she she gonna be like this or she gonna be like that because you would get the total opposite he will be like kind of like you know when they say when you assume you make an ass to yourself so don’t assume

That everybody is like this because you will get somebody totally different or you get a different uh interaction or you will get a different appearance or whatever the case may be than what you’re expecting but i just wanted to do this small video if you see me with this hoodie on i’m

About to record another video answering like questions that i people had asked me um throughout my videos comment on my videos and people things that people had inboxed me or whatever like that so um i think i’m about to record that video right after this or whatever so
