First Genesis that’s a good brother right there amazing and his word was just I mean just rich rich and impactful then we had uh Dr Ricky Harvey who man I want to be able to preach like that when I get he preach preached um Wednesday night we had prophetess
Latara Truman and she was she was phenomenal um Thursday we had uh ronzel pretlo Bishop ronzo pretlow if you are not familiar with him go YouTube them you know real down on Earth great man of God uh and Friday we had you know uh Rochester’s very own
Um although he’s now you know pastoring in uh church in Atlanta but uh Bishop Mark house and I haven’t heard of him either so you know who Chris house is right is that his brother his older brother yeah oh oh okay yeah cause Chris is already phenomenal himself
Man his brother is unreal yeah I believe it man unreal and then uh you know um to to be in a um in a service and you know the the prolific you know what I mean in in season uh Bishop Mueller Nelson was was there and um that’s his
Grandmother right yeah and 90 years strong you know she came out and you know and if you know if you uh at this stage of you know I mean where she is in Ministry she don’t have to go out to anything you know so if if she if she shows up to
Your service it says a lot about what she thinks of of your ministry and so you know it was it was awesome to have have uh Bishop Nelson there uh and then uh so Sunday our closeout we we you know had the ordinations and um from examinations that took place over the
Weekend and so we had uh two new ordained deacons as well as um two new uh orders right I’m sorry I said it again are you a senior Deacon yes sir okay so uh you know just part of your team yes sir okay that’s what you’re telling me yeah yes

The coaches on there yeah shout out to coach Dennis Thomas he um he’s actually he’s gonna be uh recognizing section 5’s coach of the week this week our starting quarterback Tyler Benjamin he had like 280 yards passing um Jamir Walters had like 200 260 like all-purpose yards something I mean it
Was just all around awesome for you know phenomenal team win who y’all play because they also made history too getting beat who who they play uh we played we played uh the combined team of Dansville you know what you know what I mean them sound like they’re talking
Like some Big Boys already bro at one time though Dansville has some has some hitters at one that was years ago though but different now the cream is funny y’all don’t country teens man they Isaac you know Isaac you know that’s not what he meant to say right he’s been politically

It’s a lot to win a football game it’s not easy you know what I’m saying and as we saw this weekend especially for a brand new program I mean yeah this is the this is the fourth game ever in Rochester Prep history the you know the the the players who’ve played uh
Many of them you know played previously for the combined team with another school I’m not gonna you know y’all know I am about giving anybody else um but uh but we have a lot of first year players so to to get you know a group of athletes in a you know brand new
Coaching staff you know I said that to say shout out to coach Prime because what he is not on the college Prime man because so one of the reasons so many people doubted uh what would happen in Colorado is because to have as many new players
And a brand new coaching staff and for them to come out and and you know 3-0 in their first three games of the season three and one now um and I would I would even with that three or one I would have liked to see what it uh would that would have game
Would have looked like if Travis Hunter had not gotten the injured by a cheap shot in the game against Colorado State so you know but that said it’s it’s a lot of moving parts to put together so for you know I mean we each week we just saw
Growth continue you know development and uh and and we’re looking to continue that momentum you know it’s important man to have coaches that can see past the wins and losses like I mean winning is important I’m not going to sit up here and say that is not but development
I think is more important especially when it comes to coaching like to think about is willing really is winning really important man I’m just wondering is it really really important yes important yeah that’s important is that is that is that was that what’s really going on right now I think I think it
Depends on the level though fundamentals and sportsmanship that we did we loot did we lose something in this man I’m just saying you think we lost stuff right that W and the L man that means a lot right and and to be able to to be able to be resilient through a loss
Right and be able to bounce back I think that says more from just saying yeah everybody played the game and did a great job nah you you got to be able to work through that like as a team like as an individual and you know I think the whole sportsmanship
Thing you know around Sports and really just kind of focusing in on that I think that that painted the the sports a little bit I think I think you the way that you really convey the message of sportsmanship is how you handle and respond in those
Losses you know what I mean that’s you know how you how you act and conduct yourself in those wins and losses is is how you can convey sportsmanship you know what I mean not not like oh yeah we all did a great job um you know it’s it’s
I come from the eras of especially you know and Kareem Can Can can touch on this as well when you when we watch film film was not a fun like you know you you go on you go on YouTube now or you see other high all it’s all highlights film
Was not highlights you know what I mean we were and even in some of those highlight plays you you’d have things that would be pointed out to you where you asked you’d have done this again while we we can live without the outcome of the plate we don’t want to fall in
Love with certain Tendencies and certain things because it’s they’re not they’re not necessarily the play you want to continue to make or always look to try to make in a game it worked out this time but is that the play that you want to try to have to
Live and die on so again it wasn’t for a session but this whole idea of every the oh let’s focus on just on sportsmanship that that’s where you know kids now you can’t coach or critique or or give feedback during film and it get the you
Know the the outcome that you need which is growth and an improvement in the player because they’re you know uh coach Prime said it they said he said uh he was asked on the 60 Minute interview if his approach um could could you know if it was if
They felt like his approach was best for the you know the student athletes he said I think what’s best for the for the student athletes is the truth you know we got to be able to tell people the truth so yeah here’s my question to Isaac into
The into these to everybody on the call so what are the what are the expectations when it relates to sportsmanship what is your expectation brother Smith when your son loses a game what is that expectation supposed what is that supposed to be help me out there
Because I think I think that Inner City Sports has lost that whole concept right I’m not nope no pun against it so my son played a lot of uh let me just see suburbian Sports let me just say that all right and I was already a hater but go ahead
Don’t do that don’t do that answer the question so I’m asking I’m asking the question you know so so he played a lot of suburban sports where they really they were big on sportsmanship the win was the win like Isaac said that W but that sportsmanship
Was amazing so I’m just gonna be open to the team my son went to Aquinas man and uh we couldn’t do a whole lot of uh a whole lot of Benjamin at the Aquinas game they we couldn’t do a whole lot of people were tapping on the shoulders
Like hey hey hey so go ahead by little so what what is the expectation by Lil booser Isaac what is the expectation when you’re saying you’re going to loses loses the game I’ve ever seen or witnessed or experience has been at some of these you know County Schools so let me see the
County what’s the county school what’s the county school what do you mean uh Victor you know what I mean really you name a county school okay you know while a lot gets made of of of the inner city programs it really those issues that happen happen at city city uh sporting events
Are not involved or don’t involve the athletes those are incidents of or issues that happen in in the parking lot after the games or or people coming there with other agendas to do other things the ask the actual athletes on the field have historically from my experience
I’ve always been held to a certain standard you know what I mean I’ve been called all types of things on the field by you know Suburban schools you know what I mean players so I just want to I want to you know make clear that up are you saying
Suburban players or or white players right yeah that’s I thought that’s the question would you be Suburban places I mean I’m Suburban so I mean what I mean I live in the city now but so you ain’t Suburban you mean white dudes is what you’re saying
You know I will let we’ll let the audience you know filter and figure that out you know what I mean all right yeah so I think I think that’s an important point though right to to say right and be explicit with because those are two separate things right there are Suburban
There’s a lot of minorities that go to Suburban schools today right um there’s a lot of minorities that go to um um you know Suburban schools the the aquinases as well too right and I think um well there’s a couple things that go along with that but but
Obviously I mean there’s the obvious thing right if if you’re saying that you’ve been called a lot of certain things and those are you’re talking about racial slurs like I’m making the assumption that it came from somebody that was of A different race right I’m making that assumption because it’s not
Necessarily the case you don’t have to assume hey you know what I mean you know it’s a fact I mean if you said you was playing like Victor I’ve heard them stories you know what I’m saying like that that’s just one school yeah I mean you
Know even even the uh the way you know what I mean the way certain things are said like yeah you know I’ve heard boy I’ve heard all all those little innuendo type things you know what I mean even even in my time coaching you know what I
Mean you you see those things and you hear those things you like and you know what you know what time it is and it’s like so the stuff that happens at at you know sporting events and I think you have to understand one of the one of the significant kind of cultural differences
That happens when uh with you know oh you sports teams that are more urban based is you’re talking about a demographic or population of folks who who don’t necessarily have a whole lot of places to to hang their hats on as as it relates to wins in life
So the wins and losses in sporting events take on a different take on a different you know differences just like the prom it’s like the prom become like the wedding you know what I’m saying like something that you would think would be saved until that happens
At like the problem so like at a football game when your eight-year-old child scores a touchdown you think that that’s like the Super Bowl you know what I’m saying even though my son scored two touchdowns as bad as we get but you know besides the point you know the problem
I can’t touch it oh did I throw that in there that’s that’s another topic for another day so so I wanna I wanted to add Mark that same question because he keeps he’s in the city a lot so he grew up in the city so Mom how would you answer that
Question man what do you think is good sportsmanship um from the city playing playing sports uh you know just playing sports in general y’all have a lot of grass in the city man y’all I got sidewalks and stuff you know how you how are you against oh you’re against on the show you’re

Expectation man oh man like I listen he anybody that’s been on a sideline while while I’ve been and witnessed me while my son’s playing it I I don’t I don’t tolerate I don’t I don’t tolerate you know what I mean you know the nonsense like yo if my son
Um you know gets subbed out of the game like yo you know he my son is ultra competitive yeah foreign [Laughter] man uh was just talking about man is that yo one of the things that we got to understand about life and we know this is Alphas man is that there’s a winner
There’s a loser so there’s a thing I taught in in the class couple weeks ago man was um event reaction outcome so the event plus the reaction equals the outcome out of those three things what what’s the one thing that you can control is your reaction so how do you
React to winning how do you react to losing now if you’re a great winner and a sore loser then you need to work on that you know what I mean if you are a sore winner you’re not a great winner you’re not exactly you’re not a great
Winner okay so so what about the game that just took place was it Miami 70 so you so talk to me about that right or Miami Dolphins game many professionals out there so so what’s up was it necessary yes like how how far could it have went yes
So yeah I’m being serious bro you call that good sportsmanship talk to me you know these dudes these dudes have gone through every rank of football and like and they’re getting paid a lot of money to not to not have a um what is it and and not an ego but to to
Feel bad about themselves for taking it out like if you take a l like that that’s motivation to come back even stronger right my boy you don’t get that far you don’t get that far um you know in the sport by saying oh man they ran up the score on me that’s
Not fair but what about Role Models Isaac what about Role Models the players on the other team they were they were their role models that day be like them next time you know that wasn’t right come on Isaac what do you mean yo real quick because here’s the thing
Right you got you also got to look at it um Beyond yes there’s there’s those players are being paid a lot of money the ones that may or may not be making as much money in those games they get an opportunity to showcase themselves and
Normally they may not get a whole lot of time and games those are the guys who you know what I mean those those opportunities um or even if you are one of those you know Premier players you trying to get you trying to get renewed contracts you trying to you know
I mean make sure you know you position yourself to uh to get your next payday um so so yeah those there is you know there’s no I have no issue with sportsmanship because in those situations because that’s how players put food on their tables you know what I
Mean so when you’re talking about having that kind of money tied up in um in in what you know in an outcome because of what it may mean for you contractually and all that these these contracts have all these incentives in them and all all types of stuff now is so important you
Know what I mean it’s so important to kind of keep that you know that thought process in context because yeah you know 70 points it it might seem like oh kids gonna get the wrong impression but for the guys who are playing who may not necessarily get that get those
Opportunities often it’s uh it’s important that they get it and when you think about that’s 70 points man it looks like it’s it’s a ton of points right but they were just scoring consistently every quarter right they had a 21 Point quarter and they had two 21 Point quarters and two 14-point
Quarters right like when you think about it that way that’s not a I mean it’s it’s good it’s a lot for you know major leagues right but I mean you see um teams running up in college football like that all the time right if you scoring consistently and it’s harder to
Do at the at that level right uh but if you’re scoring consistently that’s not a crazy crazy score Outlander score so it’s not like they they just like blatantly like you know was you know stepping on their necks after a certain point in time bro don’t do that don’t do that
So I don’t know again I’m not sure how like I’m in the football in the football so I I I I nerd out on it like the whole like the competition and rules committees in the off season there’s rule changes that happen like there’s a rule right now in football
Um if you if you have incidental contact with a player who’s who’s a receiver um Beyond five yards from the line of scrimmage it’s a it’s a it’s a five-yard penalty but it’s an automatic first down The rules in the competitions committee they they want high scoring games so the
The way the rules have been you know they they’ve been manipulated so so to so it can promote higher scoring games anyway I think that’s probably the reason why a lot of the teams man started to push for that West Coast offense because throwing the ball is a
Faster way to to score touchdowns I mean you have running backs right now man it’s I mean you got one running back in the field it used to be two three running backs in the backfield now you just got one if any you know that’s back
There man so yeah they trying to run that score up I don’t know I think I think a lot of issues start with young people younger want to win all the time and not knowing how to communicate the right way right and and it and it spills off when they
Start to grow up and not know how to communicate with people on the job and off the job when when it’s failure and know how to communicate I think it starts with sports to be the question I’m being I’m being very serious here so Sports is Big so my son played four or
Five sports man a whole lot of them it’s all high tennis baby yo yo Kenny said how many of y’all are here you want the other things you’re making such a man hey man both y’all was walking barefoot man stop that mess man don’t do that we try to stay focused
The matter is that I think it starts at a young age right so if I started playing all these Sports one of the things that I dealt with is this attitude man so you’re not gonna win a game all the time you are not going to win a game every single time referees
Cheat some players but it’s all about how you communicate and then they take that same attitude off the field into real life experiences yeah when they don’t get a job because winning is the things all type of stuff so that’s why I’m asking that real question I’m like yo
When does sportsmanship really matter when it comes to this thing called like what’s up little man what’s up that’s why I’m asking the question so when in winning a lot of times is attached to how people feel about themselves right so for for folks who feel like they need to
Win everything they feel like that’s part that’s a major part of their worth so if I don’t win I ain’t worth nothing if I don’t win my dad’s not going to tell me good job if I don’t win my mom’s not gonna you know buy these sneakers
For me if I don’t win so there’s like this constant like thirst hunger and thirst after I have to win so that I can get the attention that I’m looking for instead of when you lose that the person is like yeah you know what that was a tough game
Here’s some things you can work on but that doesn’t mean that you’re worth less you know that just means you just had a bad game and that’s it and we move on to the next one but that’s hard when there’s a lot of emphasis on winning particularly to where it gets tough
Especially for little kids man like you know when my son when they lost their game a couple weeks ago it was tough but what we did was what Barlow said earlier we looked at the film and I said all right well let’s look at the film and see what happened and then
Once my son kind of saw what happened and what was going on he was like okay and I said all right so what we’re gonna work on this week and then we started going through that but I understand that’s not everybody’s experience right so I think that you know when we think
About winning it’s not always just about winning it’s about what’s attached to it yes I think the emphasis again it goes back to is coaching and parenting too you don’t mean Co you know uh when there’s a premium placed on winning as opposed to competing I I I emphasize
My you know complete your hardest give your all the outcome is the outcome you know what I mean but your effort is which you know attitude choices and effort is is all we can all we have control over our attitude our choices our effort you know
What I mean you know like so like so yes sir yeah yes sir so attitude choice and effort you know what I mean the outcome is the outcome is going to be with outcome is how you handle it my dad used to always say to
This to me growing up he would say son 10 of life is what happens to you 90 is how you deal with it you deal with it yes sir yes sir it goes back church that react you hey you could show how you react to stuff man and I think so in
Terms of like kids having these uh you know when there’s when the when the premium or the emphasis is placed on winning as opposed to the the competing the effort the attitude you know I mean the choices that you make the energy you put to it your investment in it then
That’s what it gets lost it you know what I mean you don’t happen to practice though bro like that’s what’s got to be emphasized in practice so like in practice if you’re just talking about oh we got to win this game right I said that to one of the kids too I was
Like practice anyways but you’re like yeah man I mean it is even like the coaches man it’s like yo like yeah we want to win the game let’s focus on teaching helping the kids the blocking tackles let’s do that yes sir you know what I’m saying like I I think that the
Thing there’s one thing I was saying like and I got it from somewhere like hey every practice we should be getting one percent better one percent better you know what I’m saying we should be getting better every practice that’s what it’s about so when you start the season you are not the
Same person when you start to when you get to the end of the season by the end of the season that should be a better version of yourself when it comes to competing man and parents if y’all listen to this right now y’all y’all stop y’all got to
Be all stay off of that y’all watching yeah listen focus on what’s at hand if your kid is at eight years old let them be eight years old and teach them the basics as they get older then yes competition gets a little bit more and it gets harder and
Then winning does become a little bit more of an incentive because it can afford you opportunities for scholarships man but them kids is Young 12 and under they’ll need that type of pressure they just need to learn the games then that’s different but nah listen
Like hold up so one I I think uh James made a great point there Venus Williams went pro at 14. yes sir that’s 10. can I get back can I get back to mark That’s tennis you know like I’m at some of these used games and uh and even at scrimmages at
The football scrimmages you you’ll have kids that are super young right yeah you know like let’s say the 10 10 News 11 whatever 8u’s and there’s no scoreboard and those kids at the end of the at the end of the game yeah they they will intentionally turn the scoreboard off
Because it’s considered non-competitive right and try telling those kids that at the end of the game if they if they know the other team got in the end zone and they didn’t yeah yeah ain’t nothing wrong with that ain’t nothing wrong with that what what I’m saying is is that
That’s important and is also important too to learn the basics that’s all I’m saying like when they go we gotta stop lying to ourselves and saying it’s non-competitive because because man listen this this is what needs to happen what needs to happen we just we just how to lose man
It’s all in the state of mind yeah all these kids participating in a sport where the absolute Elite aren’t going to make it into the NFL right right you know what I mean so they even got the right grade if they’re using that if they’re using their goal as to play
Professional football as a benchmark yo they’re going to lose man you got to teach them how to lose and you got to teach them you also have to teach them like what are some other options that’s what that’s what needs to be taught during these sessions we going above and
All the basics you all need to know the basics if you’re going to be a plumber you’ll need to know the basics if you’re going to be a doctor a lawyer a an engineer I can’t hear everybody out right now enjoy your time playing football but at the end of the day
That’s not going to be your career you never you need to take that energy and focus it on something else take this L move on right look at us right we we have some really Pro we had some a couple of great football players right right on the screen right now oh right
Now I wanted to play the NBA I realized very very soon that that’s not a reality for me you know and I had to like make some ships I can talk all day yeah I used to be able to dunk do 360s all that that don’t
Mean nothing at this point in time right these young kids that are going around jumping and dunking they gonna say yeah well whatever whatever dude like and I’ll be like yeah you right whatever it doesn’t mean anything at the end of the day what means anything what means the
Most is what they are going to be and do and focus on later on in life right forget all these fundamentals forget all the basics you don’t need to know that you need to go up there you need to have fun you need to learn how to not get
Hurt and then go and go look for a career afterwards but take that out and keep it moving no no don’t don’t buy into the dream killing if if you are if you are someone who aspires to that because like like my son I you know so everything’s a vehicle my
Oldest son he plays a two two football teams he plays modified and he plays a youth league and he’s got a dream now I tell him this your what it’s not for me it’s not about the end my it is your investment to achieve whatever the dream is because
That work ethic we can funnel that and channel that into whatever direction we ultimately do wherever we ultimately end up it’s it’s understanding the work ethic that in the process I’m with that narrative I’m with that narrative all day bro but but when y’all start talking about learning the fundamentals and the
Basics and all that stuff you guys don’t need to know that yeah is that true B was dead I know I don’t know if that dog was teaching there you know but I know M where m is at now m is teaching the fundamentals still to somebody well I
Guess I guess I guess I guess that’s the new the new coaches I’m talking okay somebody said New York I need you to answer my question do Inner City Sports teach them to teach those things absolutely absolutely unequivocally absolutely um okay and if if if if we want to get
Real about it right let’s let’s take all of these parochial schools in all these County Schools or suburb you know Suburban schools and let’s take all of the talent from those teams that that come from the inner city and if they were if they had an opportunity to showcase themselves and
Get the exposure playing for inner city school these parochial schoolers and County Schools would would be able to stay on the handles being on the same field as though is those cities and City teams okay wouldn’t be able to there’s a prime there’s a prime example though I mean
You got Monroe right so my roles is an example of that like whatever they doing over there they doing right because yeah not only have they been winning but you know they’ve been executing shout out to Monroe yeah man I hope they let most of them
Kids know that they ain’t going to the next level why y’all hating though y’all really hating about it man it’s the truth I’m not gonna kill them I’m not going to kill a kid dream man if they want to go to division one two three or the NFL I’m
