What’s up everybody it is your boy Cory here today I’m gonna be talking about the toughest thing that you have to go through as an MPAC member actually in any fraternity or sorority within MPAC or just in general mg CIF cm peak like all that this is one
Thing that is very very tough that you have to go through and you know I just want to be transparent with you all and be open because a lot of times people don’t think about this whenever they join an organization So recently I found out that a good brother of mine was ill and you know it was it was a shocking to me to even hear he was in the hospital and his current like condition and everything like that because he’s just always upbeat he’s always you know out just taking
Pictures with all the brothers at every event like this is a brother that I considered like the epitome of what a sigma man should be this is a brother that I feel like every Sigma man should look at his template in order to be a brother and I found out this morning
That he passed away man it still feels unreal to me it still feels like at the next event in Columbia or the next homecoming I’m gonna see him and it’s just gonna be like old times you know he always taking pictures he’s always in like quadruple nail you
Cracking jokes on people and just to think that that won’t ever be just to think that that won’t ever happen again is just mind-blowing to me that’s why I wanted to create this video because a lot of times whenever you join NPHC organization or a fraternity or sorority anywhere you have these
Experiences with these people and you think these experiences is going to last forever and ever you’re always going to see these people you’re always going to be around these people at this event and that evening you come together and you expect to see this brother you expect to
See this sister because y’all been through all this together you never think about the day that that won’t happen again or you’d never think about the day that you won’t see this person ever again you have all these experiences and memories with this person and it’s just something
That I never took into consideration when I joined the MPAC organization like I never thought that yeah I’m gonna get all these brothers and I’m have all of these experiences with these brothers and we don’t have fun and we don’t have we’re gonna do this together we gonna
Build all of these memories and not to think one by one by one that will eventually fade and it’s just sad that this had to happen it’s just sad I don’t even know what to say it’s just mind-blowing to me it’s just so mind-blowing that this happened and I’m
Just in pretty shocked I’m gonna tell you the whole story with this brother this brother was like this is not somebody my age like whenever you join NPHC organization you’ll meet brothers that’s your age you’ll meet brothers that’s older than a grand chapter and then every brother or sister you meet
Will serve a purpose in your life almost and I feel like this brother served a purpose in my life not first you know became interested in five bit of Sigma and got online and participated in the intake process just the second member of a graduate chapter that was looking over
Our process and then as soon as I met him he made me feel comfortable he made me feel like there was not going to be a care in the world worried just relax he was always that but like everything’s gonna be okay and you know he talking you take it to
The side talk to you and like he’s just he was just so genuine and so full of energy so happy you know I’m Sam and like he crossed my chapter in 84 you know I’m saying so he is a little bit older than you know my generation but
It’s just so weird to see and you know he left my impact on so many Sigma’s in South Carolina so many cinemas outside of South Carolina like this brother right here is the epitome of what a sigma man should be epitome of what a brother should be and how a brother
Should act to another brother he would be at all the events he would support who would be at all to homecoming he where cygwin area everywhere like everywhere not one item not two items not three maybe four items a sigma nilly man but at the end of the day I’m just
Grateful I had the opportunity to cross paths with this brother I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to look up to him and see what type of sick man he was and see what type of brother he was and see if I can leave that same impact I
Just wanted to I just wanted to drop this video for you all just so you know that you know NPHC and anybody any fraternity or sorority you know we go through things like it’s not all just parties it’s not all just stepping it’s not just business there’s a true
Brotherhood or sisterhood that you build close bonds with they’re like your second family so if something happens to somebody that you’re real close to your sorority or fraternity you’re gonna feel that you’re gonna feel that pain it’s just like your mom passing away your dad passed away your sister or brother like
Your blood sisters a brother passing away you’re going to feel it you meet all these people and have these experiences and memories and one day just to think that those memories will stop with one of those brothers or sisters and this and it’s one of the toughest things that
We have to deal with you know nobody want to go to a funeral of their good brother or sister doing the separate service at the funeral and then the main service life it’s a lot but I’m just gracious that I had the opportunity to meet bro and see him loose work in Sigma
For all these years since I cross he’s always been there and you know we always reached out he always checked on a brother here and there he knew brothers by the name Instagram name always taking pictures man and you know I’m just honored that I was able to
Meet him and see the work that he’s done in the community and trying to get him right
