Trying to get my house in order yeah so this is just cool just chopping up with people you said you just moved are you about to move in um so get carpet painting done and then once that’s completed good then i’ll go ahead and move me i don’t know about

Were interested in becoming an alpha and then you know that whole progression of what you know happened after no i mean mine was i like i said mine go all the way back to junior high school uh they had what was called the kapolei yeah and a lot of the dudes that you
Know i knew they were in the kappa league and you know they walked around with the little canes and everything and it never intrigued me and so but i knew i had an interest in greek um but it’s more so about the people with like thurgood marshall martin luther king
Eddie robinson who was a legend a legendary alpha who gremlin state was like 20 minutes from where i went to junior high so that’s where i knew him from so it was more so like i always knew and then over time it was just like life started to happen military happened college happened
Um myself got in away with grades and then it was like the opportunity came in kansas city and i was just like you know what um no better time than now did it right and uh i hit the ground rolling like i went straight to it like it was
It’s been none stopped ever since 16 and i i don’t regret one moment so when you when did you cross 2019 spring 2019 centennial line of the beta lambda chapter so what was it like for you like oh going back gosh so it started when i was probably still in middle school
Um a family friend was in alpha good and then my sister was a delta and i used to go down to uh sibling weekend and just hang out with her in the summer we’d go down there for a week um and some of the people that she worked with at the youth
Center one of the guys was an alpha and it kind of just went from there i was like oh when i get older i want to be like be like him he’s so cool and everything and then i went to college went to one party oh
I was like all right i don’t want to do this I don’t want to meet them and i just became friends with a few um alphas and i was just like yeah i think this is the right decision this is it and just went from there okay um it didn’t happen in college for me uh just because i
Graduated and with them having an actual line it was after the semester after i graduated so um looking back on it i wish they would have told me they would have had one yeah i might have said another semester but everything happens when it’s supposed to happen so
I believe in that yeah we went back to kansas city yeah reached out and like jb just said um ever since it’s just been gone running running running full approval so before we we sat down man you just was telling the story like i just crossed uh spring 22 march march
19th shout out to my uh my lb’s man oh that’s a true needle statement almost didn’t make it almost didn’t make it i’m kind of i feel aware about that a little bit so first impressions goes back to it was during covey we had like a little event and during the whole event

Uh what i can do for alpha not what alpha can do for me so i’m with it man don’t you do it again that’s always a question yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah i’ll do some stuff a whole lot of stuff different i always say no i’m not going through the process again no
That’s a one-time thing like there’s no way in my life that you i would ever do that so all that cap y’all gave us while we was going through yeah we lied outside and said oh but if i had to go through the process again the answer is no wow no um
I can’t say no but i think what he’s saying i think to the point he’s saying is you know when you know it’s something you want yeah and it’s so like you look back on him like it was one of those things like i’m gonna make it through
This yeah regardless because i’m not coming back i’m not gonna start it though exactly that’s not starting over you know so i’m gonna make it through this like your mental your mental goes to a place of like i only see the end there is no looking back

I step back and look sometimes i’m part of this organization that do so much for the community so much for i mean the place that this fraternity is staying across the globe is just like you usually like it’s crazy how people look at you and me they were like you
Alpha and i’m like yeah and they’re like and it’s because of the stuff you’re doing i’m not wearing any i’m not wearing anything to let them know i’m alpha they just see some of the stuff i’m doing out there in the community in the neighborhood and they’re like
You’re like helpful faster are you greek yeah what you are i’m an alphabet i knew that yeah yeah i dig it that’s kind of been an experience for me and uh when the last uh three to four months is getting acclimated to being an alpha and people seeing you and and just the
The difference uh you know oh i know he’s alpha let me let me go holla at him or i know this guy’s a greek or she’s agreed the conversation is a little difficult okay it’s a little different now that i’m on the other side beforehand man i couldn’t get the alpha kappa then
Did to fail me during the process so i messed up on the test if i was late and i blew assignment or something like that and i was dropped i would come back but if it was just something else like somebody didn’t like me and was just like after this dude
Then you know hey man everybody yes peace peace love it is not for everybody it’s not for the week i don’t care i mean there’s no hazing or none of that going on but it ain’t for the week so don’t be misconstrued if you you know you got thoughts of joining
