I’ve got out of being a brother so far and how that’s helped me in my career so I remember when I when I pledged sophomore year right so it was 2007 so 13 years ago I well a little bit less than that because I crossed in or I pledged um you
Know in the fall but anyways 12 years ago I I came in I was definitely not confident um I lacked a lot of yeah I would say confidence is the biggest thing that I got from The Pledge process I think pushing myself uh it definitely helped a little more in terms
Of my resilience and actually like practicing and pledging and helping me go through that it was helpful it helped me actually realize like how much I want to move forward push forward the Asian American community I wasn’t ex I wasn’t exposed to so many different Asians so it helped me be a
Little bit more cultural more knowledge about about like what’s going on in Taiwan and um my lie with the Asia with the massacre that was an awesome cultural project and um yeah overall I would say it helped me with being able to collaborate with other partners like when I did events
With uh Kappa Phi Lambda or alpha or akd5 so it’s like Alpha Kappa KD that was so bad it’s been a while let’s just say it’s been a while but anyways the point is that I it helped me be able to like help like I was sharing the social share a lot so
It’s funny because now that I’m at LinkedIn it’s like I’m getting back to those roots of planning events and getting people excited and being a leader and and just being able to help you know get people together to bring community and it’s interesting that it took me a
While to realize like those are the things that I’m really really passionate about and things that I’m actually good at and even though I do like sales and it’s it is my full-time job um and then everything is related right this the things you learn from um going through pledging and going
Through all this process will help you later on in life it’s pretty cool making that correlation so thank you Damien thank you founding fathers thank you Ronnie Chow for all that you do for pi Delta Psi and I can’t wait for the next chapter and I’m excited for our
