Home of people like rapper Rick Ross and uh uhh Pretty Ricky and uh Flow Rider the rapper um and literally literally I don’t know how many football professional NBA players uh NFL and NBA players came out of Carol City it’s it’s a it’s a power house
School down in Miami uh and a lot of big people came out of out of Carol City even uh even big time attorneys and stuff like that and doctors it it produced a lot of great a lot of great people I wasn’t one of them but but it
Produced a lot of great people uh Carol City graduated uh my first year after graduation I went to a little uh HBCU historically black University college or university called bethu cookman college today it’s called bth cookman University um it’s in like Central Florida and the year that I went to
Bethon cookman that was the first year because I was in the I was in the band I played saxophone so it was actually the first year that they liberated the band before I got there the marching band was all men they wouldn’t let women in this is this is
1978 so in 1978 the marching band became liberated with men and women and they changed the name from the marching men of cookman to the marching wild cats and that’s what it is today so I’m I’m honored to have been the first class to actually Liberate the the marching band
At that University so but I only stayed there a year I only stayed there a year uh came back down to Miami um my mother was dying with cancer so I was trying to be close I knew I knew her time was short and so I uh I went to a local community
College and uh while I was there I joined it I joined the fraternity went through the whole pledge hazing get my ass whoop process crossing the Burning Sands uh all of that so um and actually my mom passed away during that whole uh you joined the fraternity yeah yeah okay
How was that like when you first got in you had to go through what what you had to go through had to cross the Burning Sands oh man what was that like hold on let me get let me get my let me get my I think I got my my jacket up here
My where’s it at oh I don’t even see when you want one you can’t find it anyway I was gonna show you my fraternity hat but it’s not it’s in my other closet okay well I show you my fraternity had um yeah what was it like it was um 10 weeks of Hell
Let’s put it this way 50 it was about 50 guys who who who came that first night 50 Brothers all black guys and within about four days we narrowed it down to about 10 so about 40 of them dropped did you make it all the way through I’m a brother yes oh man
Okay of course I made it do of course I made it through um the first night the first night as they were going over the rules and regulations of what what we’re about to go to they would actually cite the rules out of a book we’re not
Allowed to do this and they would slap the they would slap the dog mess out of you you know we’re not allowed to punch you and then somebody would get punched we’re not allowed to slap you and then somebody would get slapped uh you know they made it joke
Out of it but for me I said the first time I got slapped by a brother I said oh oh oh I’m gonna make this now because I’m not taking the ass whooping and then dropping out hell no so a after about a week that when we
Went from 50 people to down to like five and us five we the ones that actually as they say cross the Burning Sands right today do y’all still have your’ Brotherhood reunion sometime like you know all of y’all can call each other up and you know yeah my uh my L my lion

At his apartment one day where I read the literature I read the literature and basically said something like you are not a [ __ ] our true history the black man’s uh the world’s best kept secret and I began to read it and it talked about the different people in the
Bible being black job and David and Solomon and you know just a whole lot Jesus and even the description of God being black and I was fascinated by because I was always a religious kid I got how old were you about how old were you when you went into it um I’ve got
The I got the information at about I was Twi I was going to Junior College 20 years old when I stumbled upon the information and I was fascinated I say I was already I was already into the Bible at and I was already studying things like the the
5% nation I was dabbling in that I was looking at the Nation of Islam I was on a I was seeking something uh but when I when I read all this bible stuff about Blackness and our true history and we not afcan we really Israelites I was blown away fascinated
And I told my fraternity brother where is this class who is this man I want to go when can we go and he was pretty non like oh yeah something I go on Wednesday nights I said well how much it cost do I need to dress up he said no no it’s free
[ __ ] wear shorts you know just come out just just come as you are that next Wednesday I was front row Center check now let me let me go back and then we gonna come back to the Yahweh Co because her sister Sakina raah she was asking are you a
Stepper a stepper uh you know like when when you was with the Oh you mean like in the fraternity okay of course of course oh y’all was getting it in how come how come you never get it in on your um on your shorts but I see you dancing you’re

So I’m G need you to probably walk us through it a little bit when you first got there everything was looking good I mean you learning certain things talk to us about the Yahweh Cults you didn’t know it was a cult yet until you got
Deeply in it right and you know I mean that’s the well first thing that’s the thing about cults in general nobody if you knew it was a cult you wouldn’t go into it no I don’t care what cult you’re in nobody looks at as a cult when they
When they join I mean why would you join a cult you would never because s we know we know a cult is a bad thing so nobody goes in goes and says oh I’m gonna join the Yahweh cult I’m gonna join this cult they say I’m gonna join this
Organization because they don’t see it as a cult and sometimes it’s not a cult in its infancy when it first starts it’s just a group of people getting together sharing Bible that kind of thing but then it grows and so with with the Yahweh cult it it really wasn’t a cult
In the beginning it was a Wednesday night class we went and we learned about Bible for about two hours uh I mean the there were religious overtones because we were using the Bible But the teacher said it was a history class it’s our world’s it is the
World’s best kept secret as far as history is concerned and so you know we I went with it I didn’t look at it as I was I didn’t look at as a cult or Rel that wouldn’t come till a few years later now when I joined and here’s the
Other thing you don’t really join you just start going there’s no membership dues there’s no register to sign your name to say I’m now a member you just go and you keep going and the more you go the more you get involved in in in the group and then they start suggesting
Things like how to dress stop eating pork you know they start suggesting different ways on how to live and now at this time you are there by yourself checking it all out before you begin to bring in your wife uh it didn’t take long I went to I
Went to the the first class I actually wanted my my wife let me back up yes when I joined we weren’t married yet um and I wanted my fiance to go with me but she couldn’t go she said she would but she couldn’t go so I went with my
Fraternity brother to the first class and I checked it out and I was so excited after uh after I left I remember I remember and I’m 20 years old I remember going to see my my fiance my girlfriend going to her house and you know we I’m she’s 19 I’m 20 you know
We’re young and you know sexual and all that she wants to have sex and I’m like hold on wait a minute and I want to share this great knowledge about who I am or who you are and she was receptive to it you know I had to sit her down get
Your Bible and she was receptive to it just on my word and me showing her these scriptures and the next week or so she came and she was in it to win it just like me and the weird thing was we got married on April of
1980 no we got married in June of 80 we Jo we joined the group in April of 80 so we joined the group in April of 80 April of 80 as as girlfriend boyfriend and then two months later we got married but the weird thing about it was they had a Saturday
Class and it just so happen they just so happened to have their Saturday Hebrew Israelite class right next door in the same building that we were having our wedding and and reception and so it was weird because they knew us because we have been going for we have
Been going to the to the class for about two months so it was kind of awkward because we when they let out of service we were letting out of of of the of the wedding and so we have all these Hebrew Israelites and then you have all my
People from high school and college and we’re looking at each other they’re looking at me now mind you back in those days the Hebrew Israelites they considered people who weren’t a part of the group as mentally dead they actually called them dead they called the guys or
Men dead Jacobs and they call them women dead EES so they’re looking at us like because they know we they know that we are members of the Israelite group now but we already had this wedding thing you know for six seven months that we were gonna get married at this particular place
And is is Yahweh been Yahweh on Deck watch or he was not around is he’s there he’s there he’s there but um but he like back in those days again he wasn’t Yahweh been Yahweh either he was simply brother Moses okay he was brother Moses
But it was it was just a it was a transitionary period where we joined the Hebrew Israelites but we still had our worldly people at our at our wedding and so the Israelites were looking at us like basically like why why you over there with those you know worldly people
You’re Israelite now but it was a transition right so where do things begin to get crazy for you oh boy oh boy and so after we get married you know I’m working a regular job I’m going to the church that you know every Wednesday every Saturday me and my wife
Faithfully and um back back in those days we didn’t have a main meeting place we were meeting from building to building they were written out different buildings and we they were talking about taking up money to get enough money together to buy our own building and so
That so April of I mean 1980 went by 1981 came and by November of 81 we had bought our own Temple we didn’t have to rent spaces anymore we had our own buildings and is at this point in 81 where brother Moses AKA Yahweh bin Yahweh asks who if
Anyone would like to become a full-time uh member of the church basically and he came to me and my wife specifically and asked us if we would consider becoming full-time members full-time members meaning drop out of college because we were both in college damn leave your jobs leave everything
Behind and don’t tell me you did it don’t tell me you did it man of course I did yeah you got caught up and and that’s what happens man you know got caught you’re young you’re young I was I was with it I mean here again at the
Time he was brother brainwashing his brainwashing time well you know Yahweh been Yahweh or brother Moses back in those days he had the perfect language to combat things such as you’re being brainwashed he would go on the podium and simply say they say we’re being brainwashed they are correct I am
Brainwashing you I’m washing your brains clean of white supremacy that sounds logical to me he’s washing our brains clean of white supremacy I love it so let’s get back to it you’re in college he’s coming to y’all he came to you let’s take it from there what happens came we yes us
The once once we got the building yes me and my wife if we would come work for the temple and we both agreed so I dropped out of college had a job quit my job same thing with her we quit and at that time we had
My my wife was pregnant my wife was pregnant when we were she was pregnant before we got married so she was when we got married she was already pregnant so uh we dropped out and we moved into the temple and we became full-time living staff did you get any income where was
Your income coming from there is no income there’s no need for income okay Yahweh B Yahweh or brother Moses we called him aqu Moshe which is brother Moses in Hebrew back then a Moshe we didn’t need no money because we lived in this Temple and they took care of all of
Our needs which were nothing you know food clothing shelter you know toiletries they took care of all that and we were happy we didn’t have no bills now I’ve been hearing things when I went when I would hear things about Dr York at this time
Um when did you find out that this man was going around hitting on other brothers wives and did it happened to you did it come your way um I didn’t I didn’t find out that okay until after I left the C oh damn now I say this
Much once we were working for the cult all the brothers had to do a two-hour guard Duty throughout the night or rotating so there were times that and all you did was just sit at the front desk the front door big window you could see outside just sit out and watch the
Street basically but I remember many times 1 2 3 o’clock in the morning walking through the temple just just doing security and I would see Yahweh bin Yahweh coming out of single sisters rooms some of these women some of these females were underage oh man and some of them were
Married women whose husbands have been sent away to another city to start another church but when I would see these things in my naive being naive I thought he was just giving him a Bible Lesson by candl light I thought it was all spiritual I could not fathom the idea of
My teacher messing with teenage girls or messing with married women no he’s talking to them about the Lord’s work Yahweh God’s work that’s what I thought I never gave it a second thought that it was something some hanky panky going on all that all that I found out after I left the
Organization okay um but before you left because we’re gonna get to that what are some of the most outrageous things you have witnessed while you was inside of the cult because I know you witnessed a lot coming out of it as well yeah and we G
Get to the reason what broke the straw on the camel’s back to make you say I got to get up out of this stuff right yeah go ahead um you know there were things like public beatings like um for instance grown men getting public beatings and women uh there was one
Woman one time I don’t I don’t know what the woman did but they but Yahweh bin Yahweh made her take her whole top off blouse bra everything in front of everybody what and she was spanked across her back yeah um there was another time there was
Another time where I got beat I think if and I’m pretty sure I’m correct when I say this I was actually the first person to ever get get chastized get beat by the organization um and that happened in 1982 I got beat um if you don’t mind
What happened what did you get chastised for real weird but I’m gon sum it up real quick it was a Friday night now Friday night is considered the Sabbath for us Sundown Friday to sundown Saturday no work everybody just studies the Bible there are no TVs and no radios in the temple
You study the Bible it’s quiet and calm but every Friday night Yahweh bin Yahweh held a uh a midwife class because he was teaching women how to deliver babies and my wife was a part of that Midwife class and so one Friday night after the Midwife class I’m in the
Cafeteria studying my Bible we had a cafeteria inside there I’m sitting there studying my Bible and my wife comes and my wife’s cousin who joined they both come and they sit with me now they start talking about some conversation something that happened in the Midwife class that I wasn’t privy to it wasn’t
My business but they were snicklink of a cucumber you know a cucumber can get quite big you know what I mean and so now you know it of course of course clearly in my mind there’s a sexual connotation it’s a sexual conversation right it’s a conversation
That on a Sabbath day we would consider Unholy so later that later at night 10:00 at night or so I asked my wife when we go back to our room what was that about liking it the size of a cuccumber you know well what y’all doing in that class what you
Know y’all talking about dicks in the class you know I’m just curious and we kind of got into a little argument but you can’t you can’t really argue living in that Temple because the little cubicles that we all lived in everybody can hear everything there’s no ceiling
Where you can have privacy so you ain’t gonna do no real arguing just it’s more of girl what was that about you know that kind of thing anyway my wife got pissed off that I was questioning her about what went on in Midwife class and she beat it to Yahweh B yahweh’s office
That night and told him that I guess I was you know asking questions and so about an hour later we’re all we’re everybody’s in it’s about 11: at night everybody’s in their little their little rooms and there’s a knock on the door there’s a meeting in
The cafeteria I like okay so we go in there I I’m I forgot all about my little argument wasn’t all my little words with my wife I forgot all about it and so we it’s about 50 of us 50 75 people we’re in the cafeteria Yahweh bin Yahweh comes in
He’s in the bathroom he starts telling us how great things are being in a member of the Yahweh group now me and my wife we’re not sitting next to each other I’m over here and for some strange reason she’s sitting across the room that’s fine and Yahweh bin Yahweh stunters over
Towards to me and puts his hand on my shoulder and says to this 75 people what do you think about a brother who’s worried about the size of another man’s penis and the whole Auditorium just starts laughing everybody except me because I already know what this is about
Now he’s standing next to me he’s got his hand on my shoulder everybody’s laughing and right away everybody knows who the who the victim is because I’m not laughing I’m going you know and I’m looking across the room and wife like what the [ __ ] like did you really go and snitch to him
About our little conversation but she had and soon as he soon as the laughter dies down he says my name was Yehuda when I was in the group that was my Yahweh name stand up brother Yehuda oh I stand up and I know this is all about me
Because of the conversation at this time did he had soldiers around him like ranking top ranking soldiers no go ahead everybody who was a full-time worker was trusted Inner Circle I was trusted Inner Circle he had soldiers but they didn’t live but us 75 or so people that was
Some of those were his biological family his sister nieces nephews uh three stepchildren uh common law wife they all live there and because I because I was one of the first 30 40 50 people I was trusted that’s why that’s why he asked me to come live there so from that point
On he he’s he first gets a chair and and puts the chair in the middle of the room and he says he says to me go over to that chair and try to sit down so I go over to the chair and I sit down in the
Chair he said no stand up he says now try to sit down I sit down again I’m I’m 22 years old I’m not thinking esoterically I’m thinking he said try to sit down so I sat down so the second third time he says look I
Said I didn’t say sit down I said try to sit down in other words don’t sit down just act like you want to sit down and then from there he began to say he began to say things that to me they weren’t really true like you you you’ve been
Just you’ve been disobedient lately and I’m thinking no anyway long story short speaking about my fraternity back when I was in the fraternity I had brought my fraternity paddle you know paddle a wood I know yeah I bought it with me when I moved in the temple and I had given it to
Him and he said to the secretary go get that paddle that Yehuda gave to me me bring it here and then he said I want all the women all the girls I don’t care if you’re 80 or8 to line up I want all y’all to paddle him each one of you get three
Licks so there were so there were girls from probably four or five years old to 80 year old probably about 30 40 women and he made me bend over a chair and he made my wife go first and my wife by the way she swung that paddle I knew she
Regretted snitching on me oh so she tapped you lightly yeah I mean she had to try to she had to act like she wanted to but I could tell I knew she was stronger than what she was giving me yeah right so I was like oh yes yeah she
She she didn’t know that this all was going to happen yeah she didn’t expect now did they pull your pants down or you kept them they let you keep them I kept them up okay so you got about 35 women or so times three so over 90 licks now mind
You the reason he said before he let the women spank he said you was in a fraternity and you crossed the Burning Sands and you got your ass whooped by men so I know you can take it but you know what I want to humiliate you so I
Don’t want the men to beat you I want the women to beat you and it was humiliating it was quite humiliating and some of those women tried to swing that paddle from bum [ __ ] Egypt they tried to leave it up my ass they tried but I ain’t gonna lie
After it was over after it was over everybody goes to their room I lay on the floor booh hooing not because I was I was in pain actually but I’m crying because I’m humiliated and I’m crying I’m lit I’m crying I’m talking boohoo probably for
About a half hour and then my wife it’s pitch black and I hear a voice and somebody touches me it’s my wife she picks me up she says come on baby let’s go to bed and we go in the room now it’s the Sabbath you don’t have sex on the Sabbath
Supposedly but my wife was so distraught so humiliated hurt herself by her actions that she broke the Sabbath that night got butt necked and we had the most beautiful sex Breaking the Sabbath on that night and the whole time all she could do was
Cry and say I love this man God I love this man that’s what she was saying so she was humiliated and she was pissed at herself because she didn’t she didn’t expect it to go this far she expected Yahweh B Yahweh to sit me down and have a talk that’s
All but it taught me a Bible lesson I knew now that I couldn’t even trust the woman that I slept next to at night okay so now this goes away this is not what did it right go on what’s what’s the next thing terrible thing that you would see
Because I know that um I know that there was murdering going on killing going on all kind of stuff at this time have you ever heard of a man by the name of Dr York at this time no I had not okay I I met him and I met him in 83 this
