Can live by these Commandments as well but he didn’t put it in his title so I figured let me just be the girl who gives the sorority Commandments so I don’t know if I want to say Commandments and my title if I want to do ten sorority standards if she she lives out

You should live by as far as joining a sorority or being a part of a sorority is to be yourself and stay true to you this is something that I personally personally live by I literally joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and was the same person that I was
Before those letters that I am now and anybody could attest to that I do not try to act like I’m better than anybody I have my moments where I’ll be like I’ll be very like moody and I’ll like get in those moods where I’m just like discuss this type of thing but honestly
That’s just who I am I feel like I get turned off very easily by people what they say what they do I’m just very um bipolar in that way I guess and I’m not trying to like make light of being bipolar but um I have
These mood swings y’all my name is all I do I’m not gonna hold you okay so that’s that just be true to yourself and especially if you join this is something I want to press to my prospective members out there who are interested in joining my interest please
Please please if you are a certain way before you get these letters don’t think that when you get them you can treat people differently you can act like you’re better than them because literally people know who you were before the letters they will constantly bring it up and they will make you feel
Very shitty if you try to sit up here and I like hear better than do not do it okay that’s all I want to say because I know I probably put a TV anyways number two is to shut your mouth okay this is probably this is probably the most

Are doing whatever the case may be like join for the right reasons don’t join because you feel like you fit the stereotype that this organization is showing you you know because nine times out of ten you will find different shapes sizes all types of people in different organizations and I don’t want
You guys to feel like oh I have to be I have to be this organ I have to be in this organization because I look this way like look sarted looks don’t even matter okay don’t even matter at all because you will find some thick IKS you will find
Some some skinny Zetas you will find some dark standing a cage you look on some light skinned Delta’s like the looks and the whole person out like the whole look of a person does not constitute a good member of any organization okay so go for the right
Reasons make sure that you are joining for the right reasons you’re not joining for anybody else you’re not joining because of the height the clout none of that you’re joining for the right reasons okay also for this is for people who are either in an organization and a
Sorority or outside of authority or interest and joining take initiative take action be active make sure that you are involved in the events make sure that you are involved in you know everything showing face so making sure that you’re active and you’re taking initiative and you’re showing face in these organizations or
To get into these organizations if that makes sense okay the fifth one don’t let the organization consume you obviously you will be known for oh hey deja the aka but don’t let that be the only things that you are known for it don’t let that be the only thing that you are involved
In it was so crazy because a lot of girls who joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated from my chapter or different job isn’t over all did not have any previous involvement on campus at all so the involvement consisted of just aka for a lot of girls and you
Don’t want to just only have this organization because when you’re not in meetings when you’re not attending events or whatever the case may be what are you doing you know I’m saying like yes you’re doing schoolwork but how else are you being involved on your campus don’t let the organization consume you
Don’t think that this is your only thing that you can be involved in you can be involved in so many other things like black city and student government and like I was involved in so many other things because I knew for a fact that a
Pay was not gonna be the only thing that I was interested in you know I’m saying I wanted a part of my school experience but I didn’t definitely didn’t want it to be the only thing that I’m interested in you know I’m saying like yes I was
Known for Oh deja the a K but I was also known for Oh deja the black singing secretary is or you know the person that started this organization or the person that you know I’m saying like you want to be known for other things you don’t want to let the organization consume you
Because then people will feel like this is all you have is all you have to offer the fix thing is to network these organizations are amazing in its own way especially when it comes to networking and building these relationships with people from different chapters I was very very potent online making sure that
I would go to different schools and network with other aks some of the AKS that are really cool girls and that we’re still cool to this day our girls from aks from University of Millikin University and also NIU so making sure that where you’re being potent and you’re being active and you’re
Networking with these people and making sure that you know if you do happen to those too like Howard University for their homecoming you know where you you have some servers down there that you can like stay with or if you happen to I don’t know go to Atlanta you have some
Servers that you can stay with because that’s essentially what this organization is meant for not only for scholarship and service but also to network and make sure that you can you know get the things that you want in life one of the AKS that I’ve met at Millikin University showed me that she
Was in contact with and a case from I think like Florida or something and she got um an internship out there because she had this network experience through this lady she knew this lady you know I’m saying so making sure that you’re taking advantages of these organizations you never know who
You mean you know I’m saying like you never know who’s an outfit you never know who’s a who’s a akyuu you never know who’s Kappa you never know who’s a delta you never know who is a part of your organization so that’s why it’s always important to network and also
Make sure that you’re keeping yourself up to par a lot of the Graduate servers that I’ve met in my life are also members of my church you know what I’m saying so when I was interested in joining a graduate chapter I knew who I can go to because we’re a part of the
Same church we go to the same ministries you know I’m saying like we’re in the same area so I can connect with them and I can get in there grad chapter if that if their grad shopping is not the fit for me I can you know talk to them and
See if they know any other grad chapters and you know stuff like that so an easy for me to attend a graduate meeting and join a graduate tractor because I knew somebody because I networked you know what I’m saying so making sure that you’re taking advantages of these organizations and
You are networking with people who are in your organizations and who may not even be in your organization but you know are in the same Greek community as you um number seven I would say stay classy ladies always always you don’t want drama to follow you you don’t want
To have drama attached to your name you want to make sure that you are keeping a cute okay staying classy period number eight is don’t be the member don’t be oh sorry don’t be the cloud member I still clout so wrong don’t be the cloud member so I say this
To say don’t be the member that just joined because you want to get cloud so yeah like yeah just don’t be the cloud member don’t be the the person that just joined just so they can get on reach and and again I mean a lot of you do get on
Rich man’s but I had unfollowed rich Nana gets to yar there was too much negative energy I unfollowed Greek shenanigans and the shaver on side note because honey it was too much drama too much negativity I don’t want to see that I don’t want to see that so I don’t
Follow them because those pages are just negative negative negative negative energy and we’re all about trying to uplift and feel with ourselves okay and I’m so that was that just don’t join to get on the Instagram pages don’t join for the likes just join because you
Genuinely want to be a part of this member I mean it’s to be a part of this organization okay number nine is say commit it and not only socially it’s making sure that you are saving staying committed to the organization you’re not just joining just to join and then you
Are not showing your face you are not being active you are not taking the dishes here and you know that I’m having or having a position you know what I’m saying like making sure that you are doing your best when you are a part of these organizations um the last and
Final one you guys is to do not do callings and this is for people who are not in Greek organizations do not call out anything do not throw up anything if you are not in the organization you like people take that stuff seriously to the point where
Like you could get into a fight because people take that so seriously I had a couple people you know throwing up the pinky and did all that stuff me on the other hand I am not a violent person once you take me there honey but you doing that I will
Check you in a way that would make you feel stupid afterwards you know what I’m saying um but yeah ultimately you just don’t want to do that because it’s very disrespectful obviously if you’re doing it with nobody’s around kendo buddy stop you just know that you know that’s lame
And you know you should wait to feel the real experience of doing that and sand those things when you are in the organization because it’s so much better honestly um so yeah just just be aware of those things be careful and just be smart about your decisions because literally people take ourselves so
