It is only by the grace of Allah subhana wa tala and his Mercy do righteous matters conclude and come into fruition and so you know we have spent over the past uh month of this blessed and sacred month of the illuminated month of sahu alh wasallam we’ve uh amongst many other
Things on this platform we’ have been going through this beautiful chapter of the Quran um the chapter on the the theat the rooms of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and you know this Surah I think has helped us um develop a sense of clarity in terms of directionality gives us a framework a
Critical framework to negotiate so that we can ensure that our journey in life is a meaningful one is a blessed one it is one that is pleasing to Allah subhanahu wa tala that’s whatat does it gives you the hierarchy the order of events the order of of of of uh of
Dispositions the way in which the approach the style um the way in which we have adab the way we dispose ourselves perfectly and with excellence in terms of philosophically speaking who comes first who comes second that there is an order of events order of Affairs that Allah and his messenger Muhammad
Sallallahu alaihi wasallam come before everything and anything don’t put anything in front of Allah and his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam and that’s easier said than done because that is a challenge especially in the world that we live in in the times that we live in where it’s just so
Overwhelming that people are placing everything else in front of Allah and his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam placing their interests their desires their sense of self political considerations Financial considerations social considerations placing everything first and that is certainly one that will create uh a disequilibrium in one’s life and it will
Lead to misguidance and it will lead to a faulty existence so we have to learn from but that there is a hierarchy there is an order of values and morals and ideals that philosophically there are ideas that are ex that are clearly and objectively and categorically better than others and perspectives and
Outlooks that are categorically and objectively better than others and whenever it is centered and rooted in then you know that is the best so don’t we should never allow our emotions our feelings threats you know I said in the on Friday that we are neither motivated by the stick nor the
Carrot you know we’re not motivated by threats we’re not motivated by tantalizing gifts we are motivated by and so gives us profound insight and listen in in in the days that we’re living in with which are days of FNA you know we live in the in in the end of
Times no doubt about it and they are as the prophet says that there are days like the darkest part of the night or even the forbear person will be confused what’s happening so therefore it’s ever more critical right now as a community of Believers that we hold on we hold firm
To our sacred guidance it’s become more than an imperative it’s life or death for us because if we don’t hold on the propham says I have left you on the clear pristine path it’s light is like it’s it’s night is like its day that’s how clear it is
Night and day day equal I can see everything all the time you know and and the propham he said that you will come to a times you’ll see much Discord much disagreement then you must hold on to mynah and the well-guided kff that follow
Me that’s what we have to hold on to the sacred lineage the the the the that that sacred chain of transmission that’s unbroken back to the prophet we have to hold on to it says I’ve left for you that which if you were to hold on to you will never be led
Astray the book of Allah and my Sunnah another narration the book of Allah and my family what and so brothers and sisters in times of confusion times of fan times where people feel suffocated everyone everyone’s running around there’s a lot of people on various fronts hysterical maniacal narcissistic some are sadistic
And everything in between the Muslims have to have a very clear moral compass where do I go you go toat because see you know today you have news something called the news there is the world of information you know reports propaganda and so if you go online you
Open up your local news station you open up 24-hour news cycle and it’s messaging messaging messaging ideas ideas thoughts thoughts information information information propaganda propaganda and it’s like people are drowning and then you you look around and you say wait you every No One Believes this stuff not only do people believe this
Stuff and and it’s objectively false and it’s objectively wrong but people not only believe but they’re so programmed so conditioned so ingrained in a narrative that it’s the only thing they see they see nothing else it’s the with us or against us narrative you know and it’s a very naani narrative it’s rooted
In the the lower self it’s not about looking for objective truth it’s it’s an emotional thing it’s you know me and my people and my group and self-preservation it’s about manipulation it’s about getting caught up in in in in in you know selfhood and
And and and so on and so when you see a reality that has engulfed not just Millions but billions say hold on how do I I get out of this safe and clean and secure I don’t want to be in this dun a part of just a toxic narrative or just some sort
Of extension of a propaganda machine I want to be a sincere person who really seeks the truth so Allah gives usat you know follow the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam don’t Place anything in Fr don’t raise your voice in front of him sallallah alai wasallam Don’t Take Your Ideas your feelings your fears whatever
And place it over no Center the prophetic guidance first and foremost then he says Allah tala if there’s one verse that needs to be blasted into the world today it’s this verse verse number six invite your friends your family your classmates your co-workers everyone the people in the
Media read this verse of the Quran if a someone who is a troublemaker brings you news then ascertain someone who ascertain is this true or false that’s all it is assess you have to do your due diligence you can’t just take something and run with it as a Muslim we are commanded and
Obligated we cannot just run with stuff we have to ascertain understand synthesize is this what is this piece of information what is the story here you know today to get people to consider an alternative narrative you know people are so engrossed in their very specific idea of
What you know what’s happening on the ground in Israel and Palestine what’s going on what’s going this is what’s happening and you go and you like like it’s The Tale of Two Worlds The Tale of Two Worlds but you ask yourself who’s looking for the truth who is being
Sincere and trying to elucidate what’s pleasing to God what’s pleasing to Allah because if if you’re motivated and I and I hope whoever is listening to me Muslim or non-muslim if you’re motivated only by your emotions only by your selfhood only by your narrative your people the color of
Your skin the religion that you follow that’s all that’s motiv that’s all it is and you’re not saying what’s pleasing to God am I getting this right Perhaps Perhaps the narrative that I’ve been sold over decades is absolutely the wrong one it’s kind of categorical when you
Have every human rights entity every the international Court the United Nations when that’s happening when the whole reality is saying one thing but then you have in the other side propaganda reports propaganda then you have to ask yourself wait who who’s feeding me this information who’s telling me this story
Why is it that all these organizations entities human rights whatever Amnesty International why are they saying one thing categorically about one two three of what is happening what’s been happening for decades on end but then I am stuck to this one narrative that’s why God gave us a brain
Brothers and sisters I say this to my to to Muslims and non-muslims alike this is why God gave us a brain to be critical and to think not to not to play games this this life of ours is not a game there’s accountability and so we have we have now an
Imperative that’s why you know the next know that in you and among you because is in and amongst you is the messenger of Allah Subhan Allah if the prophet were to obey you in many matters then you would suffer and that’s the reality it’s it’s to understand if we keep on as
Humanity insisting that we’re going to bend the will even of our religions because this is what’s happening in many pockets of the quote unquote religious World bending the will of our religions to our desires our wants our sense of self our our self-preservation then we’re going to
Suffer we have to Center God in his Messengers we have to truly and sincerely Center Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam we have to Center Jesus Alam we have to center Moses alisam we have to Center Abraham alisam we have to S them Center them in our Nares that’s
Why brings us at the first step if you’re going to be a person of comportment and good character and Clarity and more uprightness that you’re traveling a right the the correct path in this world and this world that’s riddled with stuff hurdles challenges difficulties pain suffering cloudiness then you better Center these
Prophets and that’s the call to action for us all figure out the truth Allah he is the truth God is the truth and he revealed the truth and he showed us the pathway to the truth so find the truth if you’re motivated by anything other than the truth and you’re
Motivated by anything other than the pleasure of God then there’s going to be a lot of gu misguidance which is going to lead to a lot of suffering and it’s going to be suffer uffing that happens in this life and suffering that happens in the afterlife and that’s a reality that we
Have to take heed of right now because a lot of what we’re seeing a lot of the the the pain and the suffering and the destruction and the death it’s it’s because of misguidance it’s because of it’s because of waywardness it’s because of the evils of the
Self it’s the evils of the self it’s Satan the satanic reality that takes of The Human Condition soat is what gives us that moral Clarity that moral compass it gives us our hey every day see we cannot brothers and sisters we cannot take and the sacred guidance of the
Quran as just a simple litany to be uttered with our tongues no it’s direct guidance someone comes to you with something whether it’s on the the macro level of international politics or the micro level of your your someone told me something about your brother or your
Sister then you say hold on what’s the truth what verify I need verified reports go to the source ask research understand un do another another means research analyze don’t just take things for granted don’t just because you know it’s you’re getting a heaping pile of it on every News Channel then therefore it
Must be true haven’t we been through this already as people who lived in the modern world haven’t we been through multiple iterations of massive lies that have been perpetuated haven’t we been through this I don’t have to say them everyone who’s watching Muslim or non-muslim knows for a DEC for multiple multiple decades
Vietnam and everything before and after don’t we know these stories don’t we know the reality and then decades ler we say h maybe we got it wrong in the but it’s now in the in the peripheries no no no no we can’t we can’t we can’t continue to operate under these false
Notions and this misguidance and this and this waywardness and this naan that’s whyat brothers and sisters is so critical it’s critical for every single one of us every single day of Our Lives if we want to maintain any type of semblance of Harmony in our homes along
With our children and our wives and our husbands and our parents Center the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam in your life every single day you say what do you need me how should I how should I react to my brother my sister my father my mother how should I react
To this how should I deal with this how should I think about that the prophet gives you guidance put him first sallallahu alaihi wasallam and then follow the distinct steps that Allah tells you about how to treat think interact how you deal with Humanity how you feel about Humanity how
You look out to The Human Condition and that that that way by the permission of Allah we will in be on a pathway that’s pleasing to Allah I pray that Allah tala blesses us and beautifies us with beautiful guidance guidance in the footsteps of our prophets from ad
Ibim Muhammad alaihi wasallam may we be in their Footsteps in this life and may we be with them in the afterlife may Allah beautify us with Quran and may the Quran be our anise our close intimate companion in this life our close intimate companion in the grave our close intimate companion

Of what was closed the Seal of what came before and the helper of the truth through the truth and the guide to his straight path along with his family in accord with his magnificence and immense Rank and we ask that God send blessings and peace upon all of the remainder of
The prophets and Messengers who came before him along with their family and their companions I ask that God protect me and by and you as well from misguiding and being misguided from causing others to slip and slipping from oppressing and being oppressed and uh from being ignorant and
Being shown ignorance we thank she y she yaser for a beautiful beautiful overview and Reflections onat the the chapter of the private Chambers and I just uh also want to share some closing remarks closing Reflections on this very very important Surah this important chapter of the Quran that is imperative that we uh
Study that we memorize that we read on a frequent and regular basis uh the eight these 18 ayat I I highly encourage uh that they be memorized and that we read them again and again and again until as the companions used to do you’re you’re you are you embody their meanings you
Internalize their principles uh dear brothers and sisters they are full of guidance for everything that we’re going through right now whether it’s with our individual life the life of ourself the lives of our families our neighborhoods our communities our local state and federal uh National lives uh and globally internationally everything
That we’re going through is addressed byat and I I want to begin my reflections with highlighting thatat consists of six addresses five of them of these nid these calls are to the people of Iman to the people of Faith one of them is to humanity and so we’re going to look at
These five inshallah that are to the people of Faith briefly inshallah and then we’re going to look at the call to humanity in a bit more depth and uh and also highlight the Ayah about the Brotherhood of the Believers and so Allah subhana wa TAA in the first and
The second Ayah he calls us don’t put anything before God and His messenger and so it’s very easy to say I’m a Muslim you know it’s very easy to check that box the Muslim box because of you growing up in a Muslim family growing up in a Muslim Society because you embraced
Islam you you entered into Islam five years ago or 50 years ago or more it’s very easy and you’ve been practicing but this brothers and sisters this separates those who are real Muslims from those who are giving lip service to their Islam do you put Allah and his Messenger
S wasam do you put God exalted is he and his messenger before everything else in your life before your own self before your wealth before your family before your culture before your tribe before your bylaws of your constitution of your nonprofit before the profit of your business this is the question and this
Is the first invitation to put Allah and his messenger first s the next call in a the great IM of Medina he when he would relate Hadith he would make sure he would insist upon absolute complete silence from those who were in M he lived in
Medina all his life except for when he made Hajj once and he would teach in the Masid of the Prophet Sall and if he was relating Hadith and people were speaking at a volume louder than him he would reprimand them because this Ayah is not just for the companions with during the
Lifetime ofh wasallam but the our with the prophet Sall Ali wasallam our etiquette our manners with him continues even after his is passing from this Earthly life and he would reprimand and caution people when you hear the Hadith of the Prophet Sall alaihi wasallam and this is really important because we live
In a day and age where we have very little manners with the narrations of we relate Hadith while we are walking IM Malik never did this we relate Hadith we share Hadith with each other while we’re eating we’re eating lunch or dinner or breakfast or having a snack and we’re talking about we’re
Saying am said such and such there’s an if we want to truly benefit from the greatest human who will and has ever lived if we want to truly benefit from the best of creation we must show the best of manners and so this Ayah uh it it points to that so
That’s the second thing the second principle having manners with Prophet Muhammad sallam even after his death having manners with his narrations manners with his family his descendants having manners with his teachings manners with his religion with his faith with his rulings sallallah alaih wasallam manners with poetry that’s
That’s recited about him the not theid the and the next Ayah we want to bring is Ayah six Ayah six Allah subh Says if a a a a corrupt person comes to you with news verify and talked about this in detail I’m not even going to go into it I’m just bringing it again to our attention that this is one other Ayah as Abdullah say Abdullah may Allah be
Pleased with him said whenever you hear Allah say the Quran bring your ear close come here listen because he’s addressing you you beloved believer because your belief is a sign that Allah loves you as one of the sahabah said I know Allah loves me I know Allah
Loves me because he guided me to Islam so you’re beloved to Allah my dear brother and sister and so when Allah says it’s an invitation it’s an invitation it’s a call to his command and he gives his commands to those he loves the next Ayah
We’re going to look at is Ayah 11 Allah subhana says don’t let one group of people and Allah also includes women don’t let one group of men or one group of people make fun of each other and so again she Yas and Sheik Ahmed went over this in detail
I’m not going to go into it but again we should not make fun of each other whether with our words with our eyes with HS or LS with texting social media uh whether someone’s in front of you or not we don’t make fun of each other we don’t call each other sarcastic
Insulting nicknames we never belittle one another and this is something sadly we’re still struggling with as a community and then the next Ayah we’re looking at is Ayah 12 this is the last of the invitations to the Believers Allah says avoid most suspicion the suspicion that many times
S a husband will have for his wife or a wife will have for her husband or that people will have of their leaders or leaders have of their followers and and so on and so forth avoid most suspicion the scholars of T say you should avoid having speculation and suspicion over
People of faith and obedience Allah keep us far away from that and then I want to go to the second nid the second is not only to the Believers but Allah addresses all Humanity Allah says in the 13th Ayah of this this Surah of this beautiful Surah in every Surah is beautiful Allah
Says Allah says oh Humanity we created you from a single male and female now the scholars say she yaser uh in his in the last session or two sessions ago rather he mentioned one of the reasons for the cause of Revelation and I want to share another one with you and we see
This with a number of aat in the Quran that there are multiple multiple reasons for the cause of Allah T sending an Ayah to address sit situations in the community and many of our mu and uh among those is the great shik Muhammad Al Al Al Al Ali who

That one of the biggest problems that we have with even engaging sacred scripture is that we’re not taking a Muhammad in heart to the Quran you can’t go to the Quran without the prophet in your heart he must be animating your heart colored your heart filled your heart and
Then you go to the Quran Witham he he is the key to the door of Alat Allah and so you know and and that’s that’s because very often we take our Simple Minds our simple you know outlooks our subjectivities and we take that to the Quran and the prophet is nowhere to be
Found but if we have hearts that are filled with a difference and love foram then we take that to Revelation allahar then you have F hat then you have sacred openings and you have Bas you have you know insight and and and you have the Insight of the heart and many many many
Sacred openings that Allah bestows Upon A Heart like that and then you take a Muhammad in heart to your wife your husband your children your neighbors co-workers if you have something to say Noah uh I agree 1 million percent uh with what shik yaser said the Ayah that for me just sums
Up the advice we should take is you could bring it up is the seventh Ayah know that in you that within you is the messenger of God this Ayah its basic its T its understanding has two uh basic phrase one is to the companions who are with the prophet sallu alhi wasallam
Physically no realize wake up to the reality that the message of God is among you like the best of creation is among you right now so yeah be careful that you treat him with the respect and and dignity and veneration and love that he is worthy of Allah himself never
Calls by his name he calls other prophets isah IIM M other prophets he addresses by name Prophet Muhammad s Al never and now in this Surah Allah teaches us don’t call him by his name this is from the adab from the manners that we must have with himam so
That’s one vantage point of of this Ayah know that he’s among you but for us who are not physically with the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam the scholars say that this means that his light his guidance his teachings his principles are within us he is not you’re not believing in
