My education is making me much stronger than i was before i got here i’ve learned how to ask the question the right way so people don’t feel threatened or intimidated by me asking them greensboro and north carolina is way more you know slower pace but still got
That city type of vibe people are very welcoming here very uh conscious of what’s going on in the communities so next up we just you know i really want to get a better understanding and better perspective of fraternities and sororities so we’re going to holla at dom jones
J.r smith flash what’s going on nice to meet you youtuber pleasure sit down chop it up about this fraternity life man i was down If you could see if you could talk to you know another freshman or anybody else who hasn’t crossed on campus what advice would you give them about crossing and joining go talk to the people like you know we are students just like everybody else um we deal with personal problems just like
Everybody else we need help just like everybody else when i came to ant i really didn’t know a lot about greek life and being able to meet the women in this organization not just this organization but specifically this chapter um these were the people that
Built me up who mentored me who saw the potential in me and really fed into me even now you know after i’ve crossed even though i’m about to graduate and the bonds that i’ve made with my sisters these girls i’m stuck with them till the day i die
This right here is where all the sororities and fraternities come in and stepping wait wait wait wait that looks like kksr i don’t want to get it wrong that’s the last thing i want to do is get that on this campus but from what i can tell
That is just part of the energy that exists on this campus um wherever you go you have the skateboarders that are here you’ve got the people that are are stepping or they’re strolling i just love this campus i love just being able to walk around and just see
My people doing what we want to do my favorite place on campus would have to be the student center it is a place for everything it’s a place for studying a place for socializing a place for eating personally i call it my second home So the greatest homecoming on earth how do i describe it first year i’m not gonna lie i was scared 50 000 people to just pack out campus to where you can’t walk Our homecoming is phenomenal so here we call it jihos so you have a week full of events i’ve never seen so many people that look like us and be no beat you know i mean it’s all love everybody having fun enjoying themselves it’s just it’s it’s like a kind of like
A tense muscle trying to wait to get to geos you know we were organizations founded on social justice you know we were founded at times where like segregation was still a thing if anybody’s familiar with a philip randolph they know about the million man march and um hey phillip randolph was
One of the lead players for that he was a sigma um huey p newton founder at a black panther party yeah he was a sigma dr king he was an alpha so like you know just everybody like it’s not like it just happened today like these people
