Want to talk about the X for boys sure you know I want everybody to know about this CU you run a great organization the ex for boys program M like like you know I I know about it but I need but you know we but a lot of people don’t know
About it I think everybody should know about the ex for boys yeah so it’s pretty self-explanatory from this sweatshirt I got on is make man great again make man great again that’s what I believe in and you know for me when I started the organization working with
Young men in the city of ALB how I grew up I grew up in a full family with my grandfather uncles you know my stepdad um a lot of men in the neighborhood Etc even though we weren’t in the best area um you know we still had a great
Neighborhood just based off of the people that were there yeah um and so I grew up learning how to do a lot of things like I grew up learning how to paint cars and welding and fixing toilets and all that stuff like I did that stuff like just normally it was fun
Fixing cars or whatever and um you know I get to adult life and I’m thinking just kids know how to do this stuff and the kids don’t know how to change the simple brakes or change oil I mean that’s the quickest things you could do
You know for yourself as a man and not just knowing how to do them but using them to make money or whatever like that like if you get into the skill trades somebody always needs a car painted somebody always needs to eat somebody always needs welding done somebody
Always needs these Hands-On jobs and um no matter how many times you you know bring computers out of ai ai needs to be fixed somebody has to know know how to fix computers and all that stuff like all these Hands-On skills um you know kids should know how to do so when I
Started working with children in ALB and then realizing they couldn’t read and and write um these kids are in different grades seventh eth all the 12th and some of them can’t read at all and I’m just like how are you guys being pass through school and I was working with them out
Of my house at the time like I started this program in my home in my dining room and and that’s where I began at so we began from eating hot and ready pizzas you know to having a a school now and it’s it’s been such a journey from
There to now um right now we’re teaching kids how to work on cars work on houses and we do boarding um we board for free um so we we’re a free boarding school we don’t charge a dime for anything that we do um and we do that exclusively from
Donors and and people you know who like the people who are watching that that take care of us um and and that’s something that I love to tout because if it weren’t for people who just see what we do and love what we do um our school
Wouldn’t be successful at all um so we’ve been able to make so you know so many different waves with our students because of that work and then of course you know we’re about to unveil a new project where we’re going to try and build capacity because now we want to
Affect as many children as we can we’ve seen that the model works with the school so now we’re like okay we had 10 students now we want to get a 100 like now we know the model works now we need to expand and touch as many children as possible that’s what I think

Math equation you have to solve for x um and for us the X in that equation is is learning how to be a man um that’s what’s going to solve the equation got um so it’s the X for boys and people made all type of spin-offs with that the
X-Men and all that stuff but for me it’s it’s almost like the math equation we’re solving for x and that X is is becoming a man for a boy um and if you don’t solve for x the equation never get solved um and that and that’s something
We believe in you know creative Min games got you got and so how long have you been running this organization uh since I was 19 I’m 24 now 19 years old 24 mhm 19 yeah I was 19 at at at 19 all I was at
19 I was I mean my I was thinking of at 19 my my mind was corrupted at 19 I was just thinking about partying and going to the club and you know and doing things I shouldn’t be doing you knowzy and you started an organization to help
Out young man I mean that’s that’s that’s amazing and it’s that’s just amazing yeah I had a I had a classmate that got sentenced to 30 years in prison um for hiding a weapon that was used in the murder um he wasn’t at the murder but he was charged with tampering I
Believe or something along those lines um but that’s kind of what prompted me to to start it because I’m just like no these kids need something consistent and when I say consistent I know people have organizations where they do like you know maybe they meet Tuesday and
Thursday and you know they Mentor kids for like an hour and I’m just like no like bro these kids need to be taken out of their envir like seriously like they truly need 24hour care that is the only way that I believe we’re truly going to see change
In our students um and so once I started boarding them because I started boarding at my home first I I started with six kids in my in my living room you know with some bunk beds that’s why I started it and to see the changes those children
Were making like just from them being in the home one of my kids who had an armed robbery charge this kid was probably the best student I’d ever had in the program ever you would never think he would do that but when he gets sent back to his
Environment where he was gets back in trouble but when he was with me school grades are great he’s doing what he’s supposed to be doing he’s out cutting grass you know washing dishes like he’s doing the whole now without people even asking him yes ma’am no ma’am even
Everybody around him just like man he’s so awesome and so sweet but you never know he had AR robbery charge you know but that’s because they need to be taken out of their environments they go back into those environments and they get back into trouble and that’s why I
Believe in you know what we’re doing we want to try and get those children boarded um because that’s the only way we see true change happening they need to to have 24-hour care that’s the only way I see it happening and we’ve saved so many kids from their situations just
Boarding um I’ve saved children from molestation and abuse Etc because we eventually find out what’s happening at home because every time you know something happens and our red a red flag goes up for us is when kids don’t want to go home like most of our kids like
Yeah they enjoy being there they do um and they they love the school they want to come back but when those kids who are really adamant about not going home I’m just like why you don’t want to go home you know I just I just don’t I really
Don’t want to go home I’m just like why you don’t want to go home and we’ll dig into this stuff and I found out one kid you know he was being molested by his older cousin you know and um which is another boy and U found out one kid was
Being abused Etc like starve like I mean this this is stuff that’s happening and so school for them is is safe home like I need to be here like I don’t want to go home like this is this has helped me these children are developing and so
This is what we need to see and so uh you know just like you know reading your book you know from The Foster House to the White House if I got the title correct you know that’s what we plan on doing with the group home uh system of
Georgia um I plan to work with those children in um the group home settings because group homes are terrible and I’m not sure if you ever ran into any you know being a foster child my mom’s a foster parent my whole life um and I’m my mom’s only child but she’s actually
Not supposed to be able to have children but here I am um but you know it it it hurt us you know really bad because um I watch the group home system of Georgia and so many group homes are like prison they don’t have Windows like a few that
I visited they don’t have Windows and cender blocks they got one TV in a common area I’m like dude this is prison they got bunk beds in the room and they can only come out at certain times and they’re eating out these little plastic plates I’m like this is prison and I
Looked up how much they make from these children like you know minimum $100 a day you know these group homes yeah yeah these group homes it’s terrible so that’s what we want to try and fix we want to offer having a group home um and take the children from the group home
System but also offer them the schooling part too and actually try and change their lives yeah not just being anding M so I so so I wasn’t in I wasn’t in I don’t know if you call it a group home m i mean the facility I was in was ran by
The state so I don’t know if that’s considered a group home because it was more of a I stay in a children’s shelter that’s now now that shelter is now closed so now they have like group homes they can go to you know like these nonprofits and all that stuff like that
But but but but but when I was growing up in foster care um when I wasn’t in a foster home I was in I was what we call the Children’s Shelter sure but it sounded ex exactly like these group homes that you that that you just talked
About because it was like prison you know y in the mornings we like uh in the mornings we wake up we line up we we get our hygiene boxes we line up MH and we we we like line up in the hallway and then there’s a man that’s at the end of
The hallway he’s at a door M and he he’s at a closet door he has the door he opens up that door you walk up to him he grab out some blue jeans put the blue jeans up uh up to your waist yeah you can fit those get your a white T-shirt
You can fit those all right boom then we go shower you know and then it was then at night time this is it’s the same thing you can fit these pajamas okay y now go shower it’s it was it was just it it was just it was it was like prison
Almost you know no no type of family sitting at all and that’s what we want to create cuz we also have you go we and then then I’m sorry but then we go outside and uh the playground and we are surrounded by uh uh By the Great Wall of
China that’s what it looked like it was just a tall bricks you can’t you can’t even see over we we always like oh like what if we climb up there and see what’s over oh I wonder what’s over the bricks prison it’s prison for kids it’s prison
For kids and what we want to create is um you know what we’re going to do we plan to actually build homes you know for our students and not dormatory style at all like we want to build actual homes like they have a home to go to with the kitchen and everything like
It’s like a home you get to go to and um you know we have you know women’s staff you know with us because they need a balance like yeah we’re going to have male staff around but we also have women staff you know on with for the kids also
Because they need you know that that nurturing and somebody they may be able to to to really get into their feelings with and talk about what’s happening because that’s important you know especially you know regarding mental health you know with young boys especially being told to bottle things
Up Etc and nobody saying you know youbody feel sorry for you or anything like that but you know sometimes you do need to get it out but then also be able to perform and when you’re able to perform is when you’ve got all that stuff off your chest you already you you
Know charged it to the game and I’m like okay I got to go attack life now I’ve got that stuff off of my chest and you know having a nurturer around for that is important a lot of them may not get that and so they kind of bottle things
Up but you have to release that stuff so you can you can as a man go out and perform um so yeah I mean that we want to build a new style group home where we are and take as many children as we can um because when they come to us they
Would be receiving the utmost care you know with us and on top of that the education would be stellar and so when they leave us they would have some skill trades training they will have uh you know life training family training education Etc so even if they you know
Have to they get ad doed or something they have left us you know with so much knowledge now and they can go out and attack you know they they’re they’ve got mental fortitude now they understand things and our doors are always open my phone number is always open like my kids
Have steady access to me at all times Instagram Facebook whatever they can reach out they can call I’m never too far away or too you know too busy to to take a text or take a call for my students so I’ve had kids who’ve went
Out to college like some of those kids I was working with when I was 19 they were 17 18 they didn’t even know I was 19 but I was I was training them and so kids have gone to college and they calling me back like man you know every I
Appreciate the stuff you were saying and the stuff you Tred to teach me Etc like I’ve got those calls again and sometimes we don’t understand that the work that I was doing previously it may not have paid off immediately those kids may have been giving me a little trouble Etc but
These kids call back two three years later like man like I appreciate everything you was trying to tell me and I appreciate all the stuff you showed me because it’s helped me you know as I’m an adult now and my door is always open come back and help come back and you
Know ask for advice Etc that’s that’s what I’m here for um so I just wanted to to be a family for them not just an institution but you came to a home this is family now and then that’s what we want to create EX for boys now do you
Work now do you have foster kids too that come to your uh not at this moment that’s the new project we’re trying to drop now um where we start being able to take kids from the foster care system because the kids in the foster care system you know I’ve interacted with
Them growing up because my mom was a foster parent and so these kids stories and things that they went through uh in foster homes group homes it’s horor I would rather take as many as I can and get them out of those environments where they could be at a
Place where they want to be where they enjoy and um are getting what they need that’s what I want to see yeah I had um you know uh I I do I I do like talking to foster kids because you know and giving and try to encourage them right
But I’m not going to lie though it is very tough it is uh it can be mental it it can be just mentally draining because hearing those stories like I’m like I listen to some of these kids I’m like I mean I don’t even you like I’m like wow
Like I thought I had it rough but you know I was in Arizona uh I went to Arizona it was me and David Harris I invited David Harris Love David yeah I love David Harr sh David yeah um we were in we we were in Arizona I believe I believe believe the
The group home was somewhere I forgot what location but it was in the Phoenix area Phoenix scottd area whatever um but we went to this group home and I was talking to these foster kids they were all foster kids from the ages um they were all from the age they were all from
The ages uh like eight to like 17 MH and it was probably about 40 of those kids that were able to come down and talk to me that come out and talk you know now the kids you know you know I was talking to them and I let them you know ask me
Questions and of course kids you know they started joking first you know asking me questions I’m like Hey Okay question uh how tall are you I’m like taller than you look sure you know that’s funny I know kids Yeah Yeah question oh are you a I’m like
Oh so I’m so I’m joking with the kids right yeah they they going to start out like that even when you come see my students I’m like I said but I was the tallest one in kindergarten and I’m still am joking but then but then as but then
When I got into my story and started telling them about like you know things like that like like that I went through when I started talking about being like you know like go like going through physical and mental abuse and and like all this other stuff and uh and you know
And so the and then then the kids they started I was surprised they started opening up up to me you know cuz they feel like they can relate and I was I was their same height too so they like okay he’s short like us he looked just
Like us um but these kids were black white kids Hispanic I mean all kids of all from all different backgrounds right and then they started opening up and the things that the some of these kids been through is just like I like this boy he
Was like 13 you he raised his hand his question was I said uh what is your question he said um this 13-year-old boy he said he said do you think I would ever like do you think a family would ever love me I mean that hit me I’m like
That’s crazy that a 13-year-old you know I was once there before but you know it had been a while though you know but I’m thinking like wow like 13 years old and that’s your question you know another kid said that uh he said that uh um he
He said how do I he said I don’t he said I don’t know if this a question but he said he said he said well this is not a question and this kid was like you know they all he wasn’t even 17 but he said
Like he said well I don’t want to go to a home he said because my bi he said cuz my Mom and Dad they they they molested me and then my foster then he said my foster parents molested me too so he said I don’t trust people how do I so
Like navigate yeah yeah so he was like so like I don’t know like what like what like what do I do right because he doesn’t anytime somebody is you know willing to take him in he doesn’t go so I but but it just like I went home
Thinking like oh my this I’m like I’m like oh I can’t do this I I I I cannot it’s mentally draining but it’s mentally draining you know but they I believe that those kids really did appreciate me coming and just hearing just hearing someone else you know say that you just
Seeing someone else who’s been through similar things you know uh turn out you know you know uh uh you know turn out to be successful and and learn how to navigate through all of that so right so they needed to see that but I think yeah
It takes a lot of courage to like step up and really work with these kids and like talk to them and it is mentally mentally draining but you you you just got to be prepared for what you might hear and sometimes I be like okay I’ve
Heard worst story and then here the even more worst story I’m just like Jesus Christ like but that’s what happens and you just got to be prepared for it and you got to be willing to help them get out of there cuz sometimes you like man
Like what do I do with a kid who’s been molested like how do I get them out of there because count just counseling just doesn’t help Etc so now you have to give them a sense of purpose and a sense of wanting to be here gives them low
Self-esteem because you got think about what people say to them when they’re molesting them because their whole idea is that they get them not to tell nobody so now you’re you’re you’re verbally abusing them too like yeah you ain’t nothing and blah blah blah you better be
Glad you know I wanten you say if you take say something this is gonna happen yeah I’mma hurt this person I’ve heard the story they like oh he told me I was nothing and I was nobody and nobody didn’t ever want to listen to me and I’m
Crazy like it’s this is what they do it’s it’s it’s Psy psychological you know with the kids so it’s like trying to get them a sense of purpose and understanding you know you have a reason to be here and it’s not for that um and somebody does love you and that’s what
We you know are trying to do like I’m like I’m tired of seeing what’s happening to these group homes I’m tired of seeing the fake work I’m tired of seeing the once a week or or speaking at a school I’m like no they need real change and that’s only going to happen
If you do some 247 work with children in our neighborhoods right now right right you know uh you know someone asked me Terence why come you haven’t started a nonprofit and I and my reason is because I felt like like at this time like if I started a
Nonprofit that I wouldn’t be able to put my all into it and I would be neglecting the people that I signed up to help yep and that’s what you and that’s what you want to do you want to I I don’t want to be one of those people who started
Nonprofit and and they’re have and every day they’re talking about these missions and we’re doing this and we’re doing that but you’re really not doing anything you know y I know that’s a it’s a lot of work to run a nonprofit you know it’s a lot of it’s it is a lot of
Work so a lot of hands a lot of people you have to trust cuz there’s a there’s a a big like network of things you had to do you know in a nonprofit it’s not like a for-profit business you got to have a board and have these people and
These people and these people and these people it’s a lot especially if you’re trying to be a nonprofit that’s taken serious anyway exactly um you have to have all that stuff in order and it takes a lot of work it does like I for this new project we’ve been working on
I’ve been up all night you know sometimes on calls at 12 o’clock in the morning because these guys may be in La whatever like it’s it’s just all day all night they have to go back to the school the next day with the kids and in my
Office answering emails Etc it’s it’s a lot of work it is and then trying to get people people you know to help uh with what you’re doing then finding people to trust that aren’t trying to hurt you like I mean it’s it’s it’s it’s hard navigating it is but you you eventually
Figur it out as you know time goes by and you know get wisdom and and find people that do care about what you’re doing and you could tell um eventually you’ll get those Discerning eyes and Discerning ears to determine who’s you know good for you or not but um yeah
Yeah it’s it’s you don’t just want to just up and do that because people do it all the time and I hate it because you just do it and it sounds good and nothing’s actually happening and I I hate when people you know take advantage of donors and stuff who are really want
To see stuff happen but because it sounds good you know they’re just like oh yeah here you go you know just just take it I want to give they want to give to something good but they think it’s good I’m like no you have to give to
People who do work and that’s why I’m big on showing what we do all the time like not just oh we helping kids no you go to any any of my social media accounts Pages all you see is work like we’re actually doing stuff all the time
Versus saying oh or on this commercial if you give 11 a day to this you know said nonprofit this is going to help blah blah blah blah but you ain’t seen the first video you ain’t got the first email you ain’t seen the first child you haven’t seen anything you haven’t seen
Any missions you haven’t seen anything you just you just heard about it I haven’t seen any of the work that you guys were talking about exact you and I believe in showing everything we do from every oil change to every time we go to the store buying suits with the kids
Like all that stuff needs to be shown all the time so people are more comtable yeah I’m really interested in this foster care program that you’re going to be working on yep um so I’m pretty sure you’re going to be dealing with kids that are aging out most definitely um uh
You know and what I think is really yeah I yeah the foster care thing is you know you you know people have to be careful who they hire for these nonprofits you know to work with these kids because these kids are already come like you know like they already been through a
Lot they can’t you know like I and I know like they just can’t afford to be around people who are not good people you know y like you know cuz if you’re going to start a nonprofit and help foster kids you can’t put them around people who are bad people exactly
Because then now now they’re not going to have faith at all in anybody now it’s like nope I don’t care nope I don’t want to get help from nobody nobody’s really out to help me they’re just out to you know um so yeah that’s something and and
One thing I want to bring up too is when we’re talking about the foster care thing the kids that’s that’s aging out which I saw a video um I saw a video on on on um on Instagram from this Foster Care Organization out in Tennessee I don’t
Know the name I forgot the name but I do follow it um uh it was this this little it was this black kid uh he’s 17 he’s about to age out um and he’s about to turn 18 he’s about to go to college but he still wants to be adopted even though
He’s going to be turning 18 I understand that so that put something else I’m thinking to myself wow like like you know like people can still adopt you can still adopt someone even though they’re 18 yeah my mom was she was she was adopted at like 20s something and the
Reason why he said he said I want to be adopted because I still want a family he said I know I’m going out to college but he was like but I want people to come to my games or when it’s Thanksgiving I want somewhere to go for Thanksgiving I
Want somewhere to go for like for for uh Christmas so you know some people may not want to adopt because oh I don’t want to raise kids anymore but there are some kids you can still adopt a child you can still adopt someone even if they’re 18 and they may not want
Anything financially from you they just want family they just want somewhere to go for Christmas somewhere to go for Thanksgiving you know and and I didn’t even think about that so I think that’s something that you know that uh that should be talked about more and encourag
More because a lot of these teenagers they get thrown under the bus when it comes to adoption oh they’re the first thing to do is I don’t want any teenagers I don’t want I I I know I know the list they go down they’re like I don’t want any teenagers I don’t want
Any boys I don’t want like I know exactly they’re going to be trouble I was adopted in my teenage years you know yes kids yes the child is going to give you problems your own kids give you problems y your own biologic the same problems your biological child will give
You will probably be the same problems they would give you yep I mean kids are just going to be kids okay they’re going to have attitudes they’re going to go through stages you got to be a parent yeah you got to be a parent you know so
I just think that is phenomenal so I would you you know I I think I think a lot of people should get behind this you know yeah we’ll get you involved because you know you have I’ve seen what you’ve done with the ex for with like with the
Ex uh for boys I’ve met some of your boys um at Angie at uh yeah at yeah at uh at Angel st’s uh house um and I mean this dude is doing a great job with these boys and to be honest with you um I’m embarrassed to say I’m not
Embarrassed to say this I’ve never never change the tire well we’ll get and I don’t know how to change a tire when we post this we going we going to get Terence out to change a tire that’s what we going to do I’m going let you teach me how to change
A tire yep that’s what we going to do I do not know how to change a tire that’ll be a whole video right there I don’t serious I’ll do I’ll do that and we’ll teach you how to change breaks to the simplest jobs you can do yeah there’s a
Lot of I do I do not know how to do that and you work with the boys on reading and stuff like that too yeah they can’t man they can’t read or right because in schools right now they’re not reading or writing like and what they’re reading is
Is nonsense for the most part and they’re not writing at all they get them all these laptops and computers and stuff so then on top of that people don’t realize what they’re doing to their child like when they when they allow them to text them you know in text
Format so we have a a rule for like I group chat and stuff with my students whenever they have their phones or whatever you cannot text me in text for match you have to text me in complete sentences with punctuation Etc and I will correct them the reason I do that
Is because they will start writing like the text they start writing lol they’ll write acronyms Etc I’m like no you cannot write that on a paper this is text message stuff or Social Media stuff you cannot say LOL like that you cannot put that in a a essay like that’s that
Makes no sense so everything they do now they write out they have to type out everything punctuation marks Capital capitalize words and it’ll translate to um you know just in person so or when they’re writing something and and parents don’t realize it and if you’re watching just just try that one thing
Like don’t let them text you and text format text in complete sentences don’t stop being lazy and text in complete sentences t a complete sentences use comment it’s going to take you an extra two seconds and do it I mean it’ll help you know with the kids uh just something
Or turn the subtitles on when you’re watching TV um because now they’re actively reading while they’re watching TV um it’s little small stuff that you could do to help you know with your child’s reading levels um and also of course being a parent right yeah we yeah
So man I you you really doing I’m really impressed because you’re doing great stuff I appreciate and I and I think people should support you and support what you do because people are not actually not support you support what you’re doing because you know like uh uh be because they’re not really supporting
You they’re supporting these boys correct these boys these kid who need it yes they they are the investment it’s not this organization X for boys is not about King Randall it is about those it’s about those in need y it’s about those boys who need help who need
Guidance you know who need uh and you know who need uh family or even a big brother a big sister you know um I’m pretty sure that you encouraged that right I mean you know we try and do that um because they just need somebody to
Talk to sometime they do need family and even with them with each other I tell them like these are your brothers now like anybody who’s at the school or in the after school program Etc you all work together together when you’re at school Etc this is this is your new
Click because I’m telling them I’m like you cannot have friends around you who are going nowhere everybody in this room is going somewhere so if y’all are at school or whatever like that in the same classes you shouldn’t be failed in the class and he’s passing and he’s supposed
To be your brother make sure he’s passing his class make sure he’s not doing nothing stupid at school like be accountable for each other and because I make I punish them all you know together and the reason they get punished together is because I want them to look
Out for each other bro stop talking stop doing stupid stuff don’t do that we’re going to get in trouble like that’s what I want to see not this whole you know not I get I mean like the no snitching thing like I understand minding your business but also don’t let your brother
Do anything stupid either like there there’s a difference and so I’m trying to teach you the difference between that they think just because they’re trying to correct their brother they’re snitching I’m like no you’re correcting him because he’s doing something that could possibly get him in trouble even
Though he may not like it you’re doing the right thing and that’s what you want to do always the right thing I always tell the kids they always laugh about this quote I always give I’m like if we in the car and I got weed we all got
Weed if it’s if it’s five Us in the car all of us in the car got weed now like even if it’s just one person so we be accountable for each other and that’s why I punish them together all the time we want to create a Brotherhood for
Those kids when they get older they got brothers that they’ve grown up in the same school doing the same things learn the same things you know and they have a family now and so even for kids who are aging out you I plan to create like some
Type of fraternity almost for our boys and that come out of our school because I’m just like no you still need a network when you leave here so when you’re when one of my kids who went to college and I got a kid who’s you know in seventh grade but when he graduates
He’s going to need Network when he goes he’s I created a successful man out there and he’s somewhere doing whatever okay well you got a brother who went to you know our school and he’s he’s like maybe 29 now but he can help you do what
You need to do you know because we’re all linked like that um so that’s that’s what I want to happen just like fraternities do I want to have our own network of boys you know that we raised in our program who all know the same things who’ve been taught the same
Things and who are navigating life in the same way because that’s what you need you need Brothers around you you know who who can help you and not are just around you just talking trash or drinking or whatever like that they need true friendship and true friendship and
True friendship is holding each other accountable yep you know like I like you know I truly believe in that I have people tell me don’t be worried about me I say no I’m worried about you yep no I’m going to worry about you absolutely
I cut people I I cut you off if I can’t even if I can’t if I can’t chastise you as a friend like just and H I I don’t want to be friends with you for example I have a friend of mine um he’s awesome brother you know but he he’s like 500
600 lbs and I tell him I told him before and just straight up I’m like bro I can’t nobody can take you serious because of how big you are you are 5 feet three and you are gigantic you know and I’m just like bro like if we’re not
Going to go work out if we’re not going to go try and do this thing I cannot be friends with you cuz you don’t have enough discipline enough just to do that simple thing like go walking every day or something and stop eating food like I don’t know what’s going on mentally
There but if I’m going to be your friend I’m going need you to listen to me and I want to help you with it I ain’t saying go lose weight and I’m not willing to help you I’m willing to go out with you I’m willing to go walk with you but you
Got to be willing to get up in the morning and go work out cuz I got stuff to do during the day but if I’m willing to take out of my day to help you as a friend then that’s what we should be doing but if but if you don’t want to do
That if you don’t want to listen to me say stop drinking if you don’t want to listen to me say stop you know hanging out with this person or that person or going this place Etc then there’s no need for us to continue talking I have
To be able to keep you accountable and you should be able to tell me what I’m doing wrong no bro you should be doing that and I should be able to listen know that’s that’s friendship and brother friendship telling your friend listen you 500 pound bro we’re not going to the
Bar no we’re going to the smoothie shop no the smoothie shop like just being honest yeah yeah we’re going to the smoothie shop that’s what I believe in that’s what I believe exactly okay so you got this school now there’s someone else who has a school also you know it’s
This guy named LeBron James now I know you are you I hear you’re a big fan of LeBron James I love LeBron I do you a big fan but you know um I saw I saw an article LeBron James school is failing and and and I mean they tell us about the LeBron
Because you know more about it yeah cuz y’all are in the same you know y’all y’all well I don’t I just know what’s going on in that Arena yeah you yeah so for one people get misconstrued a lot you know with the particular school because people think that it’s
Exclusively LeBron james’ school so that school is a part of the public school system it’s not like LeBron’s own private school or nothing like that he gave them the rights to use the I promise thing and he promotes the school Etc so LeBron effectively has nothing
Else to do with the school aside from maybe some funding here and there or whatever like that but he effectively has nothing to do with the school it’s the public school system that actually owns the school who handles the teaching etc etc for those children to not be
Passing school you know after like three years or so that is insane and you as the face I love LeBron Adell but you you as the face I think something should be said I think you should be having conversations with them I think you should have publicly said something
About it not throwing them under in the bus but we’re abely trying to figure out what’s going on at our school for the reason that none of the kids passed this specific test like that’s I think that’s something that should have been said I think I would have said something about
It if it was my school or people thought it was my school because that’s what people think the agoing theme is that it’s LeBron school that’s his it’s like it’s LeBron james’ school it’s LeBron James even though it is the public school system School because you’ve
Attached your face to it so hard it’s it’s synonymous with you so now people are like LeBron James it’s your fault that these children aren’t being able to pass their math test and I’m just like well he’s not even there I said he’s not even teaching there it’s the follow that
School system the teachers that may not be teaching or the the lack of discipline that may be there Etc I don’t know what’s going on at the school but they’re not passing it’s a problem it’s a problem but let’s talk about accountability absolutely LeBron James let’s call it what it is accountability
I don’t care if the public school is behind it your name is on there your is on you got on national TV you went you you went from from from news station to news station from TV show to TV show I got I’m opening up a school it’s my
School and and and we’re giving back and we’re going to help these young men well these young men these young children in these uh in in these communities are not passing they’re not passing but and I think you know with none of them like I
Was you know maybe so zero yeah zero it was Zero for that specific test uh I believe for three years straight zero of the children passed that I think it was a MTH test or something like that um but they were not passing the test I’m like
How for three years straight none of not one not one kid like I’m like that is insane to me I’m like so what is happening that is there even School CU if you’re it’s not school if you’re not learning you know so I’m like so what is
It you just send them to a building just to say they at the artment school and doing all the little cool stuff for social media but the kids are not actually well call it um a Rec Center yeah it’s a Rec Center you know I’m like
What what’s that’s where you go to play not like not to learn because at this LeBron James school if you have zero students zero students that are failing a math test no no no I say zero no zero students that are not passing that’re not that are not passing that’s insane
Zero not one not one and I was like that is crazy I I I looked at the stat I’m like this can’t be I’m looking at everything I’m like n the stats are real I’m like that is insane they’re doing all this social media stuff they doing
The gardening and all this other stuff not saying that stuff isn’t important but I’m just like bro like we going to need to get the fundamentals down you know first and that’s just basic math Reading Writing arithmetic like that’s what we need to be working on and I like
I said I just feel like if we were going to tout that the school was you know yours I feel like you should have said something yeah yep I think he should have said something and I know he saw it you know because it was everywhere so I
Just feel like you know that’s something he should have said and something I feel like he should have stopped and worked on you’re in the offseason or whatever go visit what’s happening here can we have a meeting like talk to me about why my name is being tarnished because the
School’s not like successful at all so that’s what I’m wondering about I mean you took I mean well his name is on there he needs to come out and he needs to apologize and say that he will do better yeah he will do better or into it
And and the school will do better because you can’t you can’t go from TV station to TV station talking about it’s your school right and this is what I’m doing to the I’m going to help these I’m helping these kids well since you said I
Then you need to come out and say I have failed these kids correct because you came out and said I am helping them now they are not now they are all failing so you should come out say I have failed these kids and and and I am and I am
Going to do something about it y you going to do something because your name is on there now now I believe I’m like well you should take two three million and pay 100 tutors to come in like I’m like this is this is what needs to
Happen I’m like you have to to clean that up but because it’s him and because mainstream media is you know on you know his side then it’s like he really doesn’t have anything to say about it he doesn’t have to say anything cuz nobody’s everybody’s going like they
Don’t care cuz it’s LeBron he could pay millions to so they can hire some he can give them millions to hire some of the best teachers in America yeah to get those kids together yep seriously to get those kids together you know that’s like that’s now what are your kids like how
Are how are they doing in school yeah my kids are doing phenomenal in school especially with our after school and in school we have 86% reading comprehension rate kids have come to us not being able to read and write period and um they’re reading and writing on at least on grade
Level now and people don’t even realize how long it takes to get a kid back to level like I thought it was going to be simple like we can you know sit down with them get them a couple tutoring hours or whatever like that and they be
Back up to speed no these kids taking a minute to like get it down like just the writing you’re talking about I’ve had kids who are in 11th grade writing like they’re in prek like I mean it’s insane but these kids are developing it takes time it takes consistency people don’t
Realize that it’s not overnight fixing these kids it took them 16 years to get the way they are it took 15 that’s a long time for you to be that way so it takes us time to get them together you know and and the way you do that is
Building routines um and I had this quote that I you know put together and I love saying it you know routines build habits habits build character and character makes theand what routines and habits you have is who you are that’s who you are that’s your character no
Matter how you try and dress it up how you try and fix it up or how you try to act what you do every day your habits you have and the routines you do every day is who you are that is who you are so if we make them do different things
Every day such as sitting the Right Way Reading Writing uh you know working out Etc is if this becomes a part of your daily routine if it becomes a habit of yours now like speaking loud uh saying the proper greeting of the day uh saying your name loud Etc this becomes a part
Of your character now now this is who you are my time in the Marines I spent you know uh 90 days I think it’s three months in the Marines uh at boot camp the things that they made us do every day on a daily basis there are things
That I did there for those three months six years ago that I could never stop doing I cannot there’s certain ways I sit certain ways I eat my food Etc because I they put it in my routine and now it’s a part of me now I can’t take
It away I can’t unless I truly do another 90 days where I sit and do this one thing opposite to make it a part of my habits again so like even for people who don’t like working out you have to force yourself to do it until it becomes
A habit like to the point where you just your body automatically goes to the gym you know hey I got to go work out that’s a part of your routine now or reading or praying or writing or Etc you know that’s what we do for the kids we build
Routines with them cuz kids don’t like to shower kids don’t do hygiene they don’t want to brush their teeth Etc so we just make it all their habits now so once it’s a habit you just do it on autopilot and that’s what a habit becomes and then a habit becomes a
Character got you now um uh your kids now I met a lot of your lot of um I don’t know if I met all of you didn’t me all of them no you met a few mhm okay now I’m pretty sure that they listen to rap music right sure yeah um do they
Like do you stop them from using a lot of now the ones that I I’ve met some of most of them were uh black children and I know you know the n-word is uh pretty popular now how do you uh go about that when you know um do you do you like stop
Them from using it or tell them you know because that could be that could become a habit too you know oh yeah it is a like yeah you know it is a habit um you grew up using it Etc so you know my thing with that is time and place um
Sometimes you know we try and just oh don’t ever say it or Etc look I understand you know our neighborhoods where we from our families Etc some of those kids you’re never going to get away from it so now I’m teaching time and place yeah you say it on your own
Time where you at but while you’re here and while you’re around me and while you’re around somebody important Etc you turn it off if you go home and y’all do that at the crib and everybody cool with it do it at home but when you come here
Your routine and your habit changes and your character changes you turn it off and you make that happen here we’re not calling each other that here we’re not calling each other that in public or whatever we’ll do it at home that’s you at home whatever whatever you do at the
House is your business or whatever but here is what we’re going to do got you and that’s that’s we’re not saying it here yeah so I mean they were well-mannered their pants were pulled up so I I’m I’m assuming you don’t allow any that sagging N I run a tight ship
They have uniforms yeah uniforms yeah okay yeah they have we we have all types of uniforms just like military so you got the basic like what I got on now we like call this like a Class B uniform where we just wear something basic nice sweat shirt slacks or whatever then we
Got our classes out civilian uniforms where we wear t-shirt jeans or whatever like that all of it is a part of your uniform even if you’re not in school items you still have a uniform you’re not allowed to go outside in the tank top I don’t do slides I tell them all
The time like stop wearing salid I’m like I don’t do salid because you never know what’s going to happen you never know when you got to fight somebody you never know when you have to get away you never know what could possibly happen why do you have on slides you know why
Do you why are you wearing this you should be ready at all times for anything you’re not ready when you got slides on at all you know so it’s it’s just like little small rules that we have or going anywhere with a shirt off or being around any female with a shirt
Off like this this is little rules that we have that they have to to to abide by but that’s what these young boys need they need discipline just discipline they need guidance you know father figures male figures in their lives like you said make man great again now I do
Now you said I now you’re not this is you’re not from New York no this is in Georgia Albany Georgia cuz there is an Albany New York you know so I know people would ask is it Georgia or is it New York yeah so we got we got different
We got different pronunciations so from South from South Georgia we got a very bad Southern draw yeah um people in New York say Albany so we have Albany New York but we have Al Bean Georgia that’s how we say it yeah it’s Al like that’s
That’s how we do it so that’s how we distinguish from who’s from where if I know you’re not from around we say Al like oh you’re not from around here but well I’m from Al like I’m from South Georgia and you got Al New York which is
The capital I believe of New York but U but yeah that’s how we distinguish but I’m from South Georgia we’re about two and a half hours away from Atlanta and maybe about an hour from the Florida Georgia Line yeah now one one thing I want to know you know before I before I
Wrap this upu like so you know youve you have helped these boys like you’re you’re helping so so many people you’re doing great things and you talk about all the hardships that these boys have been through like how was it for you growing up like what are some like
Hardships that you faced you know um I was molested as a kid you know when I was like four um by a woman but you know as my life went on I don’t have like aside from that you know I know most successful people have like these hard
Stories people talk about all the time I don’t I don’t have one of those you know I grew up in a great family great mom great grandma great support system played football I mean I had good grades my mom we weren’t poor or anything anything I mean we weren’t rich either
But we weren’t poor either you know my dad worked a job he paid all the bills you know we grew food outside I built everything outside we had animals dogs we grew all everything we want to eat like I I don’t have like I had a great
Family and upbringing um and so with me having that great upbringing I’m able to appreciate what I had and really truly effectively give these kids what they’re looking for because that’s what I had so it’s like I’m I’m not starting an organization trying to give them what I
Didn’t have I’m giving them what I did have I have experience with full family and having had a few things happen you know I’m being a regular kid but I wasn’t terrible I was not robbing nobody or nothing like that like I did little stupid stuff like not wash the dishes or
Whatever like that normal teenage stuff but I didn’t have I don’t have a hard story like my mom was awesome my my stepdad was amazing my granddad my uncles like it was that yeah it was that for me so I’m giving these children what they’re missing on top of that that’s
How it should be and my family is is Super Active with the school my students call my grandma grandma they call my mom mom because my mom comes cooks for them my grandma cooks for them like we it’s a family or deal we all are in it and um
They’re giving those kids you know a ear you know a listening ear and somebody to talk to my grandmother used to be a psychologist so she’s talked to the kids you know in depth about some of the things that they’ve been through and all those things so it’s a big family thing
Like I I love how I grew up I mean only hardships I’ve ever had is maybe as an adult you know and navigating you know through life you know having divorced and having kids or whatever like it’s it’s been a lot I’ve lived a lot of life
To be 24 I’ll say so yeah that’s amazing so uh so what all ages do you accept and you know but you accept boys of all Races right yeah all boys yeah all boys and but but what is the age 11 to 17 11
To 17 we accept boys 11 to 17 in after school program the school only accepts incoming sixth graders the reason we only accept incoming sixth graders is because we want to build them all the way until until they’re uh you know in 12th grade not saying that we’re
Neglecting any of the older children we just have them in after school program and they they actively you know work with us also but for those children we’re trying to truly like dig into it’s a little bit harder to dig into a 16 year old boy who mostly has his mind
Made up versus a 11 year old kid who’s just trying to figure out who he is you know and so for us we start out in sixth grade and they will end with us in 12th grade you know as they become you know a senior in high school and turn 17 18 but
We have molded them all the way from 11 to 18 and now we’ve created a new man that’s what we’re trying to release out into society that’s how we make America great again is if we we build up you know new young men to go and take over
Our communities yeah and but although you work with the sixth graders and on up you still help out you know the ones that 16 and like like if they come to you at 16 oh yeah you’re still going to support them yep yeah got you okay
Awesome so where do people go to support the X for boys sure you go to the X forb boys. org that’s t h x f r b y s.org um our website has everything there that you would like to see from all the videos of us working with the children
From our giveaways that we’ve done for the community from free breakfast giving away bicycles um working with the students firearms training uh welding whatever building fenes you name it it’s all on the website you can follow me on all social media at new emerging king or
The X for boys you okay and I do want to mention you know that his school was raided by a bunch of criminals yes and they tore his school up after all the hard work that he has put in to help these young boys so uh he really does
Need everyone’s support not him the these children need your support absolutely but brother man thank you for coming on I appreciate it I appreciate you thank you man yeah
