Hello everyone got another vid coming up here I’ve been asked uh couple of things uh concerning conditioning you know before the workout after the workout you know what do you do and uh far as me you know what I did was uh basically before the workout you know I’d give them a
Slurry uh just for energy you know had electrolytes protein carbs some people don’t like using carbs but it’s it’s kind of like an energy drink now depending on on where the show was uh you know sometimes I couldn’t give it to them until a just a half hour
Before the show half hour before the show they absorb it uh you know just it’s only a cup of liquid right so it’s going to absorb right away and uh uh what when I walk them out to empty them out they’re going to empty totally empty you know and that’s part of the
Program of me doing that during the whole 8we keep you know uh give them the slurry before the workout walk them out empty them out go to work uh generally I’d like to do it two hours before uh it’s going to help them uh get rid of all those fluids more and they’re
Going to have uh it’s going to be absorbed into their system now the timing for me was was not crucial in that respect because it would be uh it would be akin to taking a a couple of drinks of water or something before you do a workout you know just to so you’re
Hydrated during the workout some people take electrolytes you know liquid electrolytes you know it could be a broth it could be Pedialite it could be gator itate you know I didn’t really I use broth more because it doesn’t have any sugar in it you know and if you want
To get that quick jump from sugar I suggest using like a teaspoon or tablespoon of honey it’s natural uh simple carbohydrate good for energy doesn’t negatively affect the dog or uh the kidneys or the pancreas like that it’s a good healthy simple carbohydrate and uh you know people vary
On that you know some don’t like to do it some like them just they come the way they are but what however you do it I suggest you do it throughout the keep so the dog is accustomed to that program right and uh there’s a a thought process
About rub Downs some people I didn’t like to give a rub down uh before a workout some people do because it loosens the uh joints and muscles up it it uh it gets the blood flowing you know so if you are going to do that it should not be a long-term brisk workout
Heavy uh rub down I mean not workout but rub down right because that has a tendency to relax them I don’t want them too relaxed in that respect before a workout or before the show so my way of warming them up and loosening them up was during the walk
Out they’re going to walk out empty out they’re going to shake and shiver they’re going to kick up dust when they dump they’re going to stretch out sometimes I would even stop and have them put their paws on my chest and then I kind of rub them a little bit rub
Their neck a little bit just loosen it up you can you can turn their neck a little bit just so the joints and and muscles are loose and uh to make sure they’re fully empty so that uh you know they’re they’re prepared to go and do the work
And my walk out wasn’t it never was more than half a mile some people like to do a mile whatever it is you know I just wanted to make sure they’re empty and as you go out during your walk out and you watch them empty out you know you look
At the stool you look at the urine right they’ll get down where where you know the first piss might be a long one and then they may do two or three more or more than that right but they always it’ll lessen and lessen it’s just a little piss with males sometimes it’s
Just a a natural instinct to mark their territory and they’ll keep trying to Mark a tree or where they pissed before if you use the same route you know if you’re at home or if it’s a new area where you’re doing it you know they want to
Mark every little part that they can so a lot of times they’ll lift their leg to piss and one or two drops will come out after they’ve emptied out you know it’s just a natural instinct for them to do that sometimes nothing comes out it’s just the the motion of doing that but
It’s a way Telltale sign of letting you know that they’re that they are empty and that they are loosened up and you can see them focused and sharp they’re looking around they’re looking for something you know that’s how you know they’re really peing and and and ready to go they’re just focused
Concentrated you know and uh real receptive to sounds and anything else that that’s around them so that’s the Pre-Workout and when it comes to supplements and feed and all that I’ve said this before I’ll say it again I’ll say it a hundred times you know whatever it is you’re using have
Them accustom to it for for me it was at least three months ahead of time before or if I’m going to introduce a new vitamin supplement or some other type of supplement I’m going to judge the supplement as I go along giving it to them for example my my vitamin mineral
Supplement dog Bloom Supreme uh dog dog Bloom VM Supreme you’ll see good results in 10 days you know they’re coat shinier they look healthier they may even uh come down and weight a little bit you know and uh uh you’ll see it in their stool the stool may be firmer this and
That whatever it is you’re giving you can see it in that shorter period of time some people say you can see it right away or whatever it takes time to absorb in the body to get a custom so for me 3 months was the was The Telltale
After that if they were good no issues no stool problems no urine problems no heating up no getting tired no you know uh um uh lethargy or anything you know uh that was a that tell me that the supplement whatever it is I added to their
Feed uh was working you know and you have to do that through exercise you have to do that through watching them how they behave does their behavior change during the day while they’re on the chain and their kenel whatever some may become more active if they weren’t
As active it may help them become more active uh may may settle them down you know there may have been something lacking in their feed some nutrient so they’ll sleep better at night they won’t be rested because you covered that whatever it was they were lacking and it could be anything you
Know a lot of people it’s iron calcium B12 you know minerals Trace elements sometimes it’s protein or fat or you know uh even even changing let’s say you fed kibble and you want to change over to Raw it’s going to take a while for the dog to become accustomed to it not
That he won’t eat it not that he’s not getting all the nutrients he needs but his digestive system takes a while for them to become accustomed to it so I wouldn’t judge any change of anything unless it’s really adverse or negative you know after a few days you know and you see people
Changing dog foods left and right and getting this because it’s cheap and I’m going to try this and I’m going to change that and they do it every month or every whatever few days and they don’t like for me that’s not that’s not long enough to judge whether the food
Itself is the problem or if it’s something else that’s the problem and I don’t like changing especially Kibbles like that because there are a lot of different stuff a lot of different types right whereas if you’re using food you you know you may be giving them a different
Vegetable or a different type of protein it’s not going to have that much adverse effect on it or different type of fat you know sometime maybe using animal fat or grease or uh chicken fat or beef fat the Tallow that’s in there or or uh something something like that or a
Different protein you know you use heart meat or you use Muscle meat or you know that change like that is not that drastic for a dog but the Kibbles can be because there’s all different kinds of Kibbles and there’s all different kinds of stuff that’s in it some of them have
Very little meat in them or very little animal fat you know they’re using vums or you know peas or or tofu or what I don’t know whatever it is are you some different type of protein people think that protein is all the same it’s not all the same it’s different just like
The fats are different and the fats have burning different burning rates on them you know uh like a vegetable or corn oil or or olive oil burns real fast in a system as compared to uh you know fish oil or animal fat oil grease if you want
To call it and grease most people you say grease and people think pork and it is but grease is any animal fat whether it’s duck chicken turkey beef lamb you know uh Uh uh any any animal fat you know and if you’re using leaner Meats like let’s say you’re using uh deer or horse meat or or uh uh rabbits or something like that you know then you’re going to need to add a little bit more fat to it you know and
You can use a cleaner fat you can use uh uh you know like fish oil you can use whatever meat protein meat you’re Fe need them you could use the fat from that meat some people like MCT oil you know which is found in coconut
Oil so if it was me you know rather than giving them coconut oil because I want the MCT in it I would just buy the straight MCT and that way you know exactly how much you’re giving them you should measure everything either by volume by weight you know and what that means if
You’re using a cup to measure then that cup should be leveled off if you’re using a teaspoon or a tablespoon to measure it should be leveled off you shouldn’t just dip it in there or just fill the cup up where it has a little
Peak to it or a tablespoon and it has a peak to it that measurement is that whatever it is you’re using teaspoon tablespoon cup4 cup half a cup leveled off and it gives you the measurement on the cups and that’s where it should be level off so the measurement might be if
It’s glass it might be a little lower than the cup is full right you should only measure it up to where that line is not over that line not peaked up over that line and the tablespoons teaspoons like that are measured quter teaspoon whatever it is are measured level so
Whenever I gave my supplement if it was a tablespoon or a teaspoon I dip it in there it has more than than uh that by volume that’s in there so I just level it off with my finger like that or you want to use a back of a
Knife or something right that’s how you get accurate measurements so that’s basically the method of of uh and you can do all this in preep if you want to add something else or you’re changing the food over you know let’s say you feed uh uh kibble just as a
Daily uh their daily routine daily food you know and you want to use raw in your keep well I would suggest doing that at least pre so that that you have preep and the full keep if it’s 8 weeks you know you got 12 weeks of that raw food at least
And you could even when you’re giv a kibble you could supplement some of it which means you’re going to give a little bit less kibble and you’re going to throw some raw food in there you balance it out that way and uh you know depending on on which is more
Expensive or less expensive you can adjust it that way you know if you Fe feed a high grain kibble and you have meat scraps and you have some vegetables like carrots or potato pumpkin something like that extra or whatever or you have it you know spinach or whatever in a
Can you can cut back on the kibble a little bit because you’re giving them those scraps call them scraps if you want you know uh uh and and it help you balance out your your checkbook you know as far as what it costs to feed a dog and if you’re going to
Feed uh uh raw their daily diet when you put them in keep all you’re doing is give them more food right you’re increasing the food because you’re increasing the workload and then you can can add the supplements for me the supplements I gave them what they had in their daily
Feed anyways so again if you’re going to add extra supplements that they’re not accustomed to or they’re not used to eating do it in preep do it way before the keep starts that would be my suggestion you know and my experience just seeing dogs that that you give them something you
Know you don’t know it could be something in there could be that their body doesn’t react to it right or something that they don’t need or it’s too much of one thing people have a tendency to overs supplement right because they think more is better and sometimes more is not better less is
Better because if you give them good food and and you give them too much supplements you’re giving them something they don’t need because it’s already in the food you’re just adding a little bit the way I looked at supplements powder or liquid whatever it was pills or
Whatever it was you know uh all that meant to me was they’re going to absorb those first and faster whether it’s carbs or aminos or a powdered protein or vitamins minerals Trace elements uh liquid fat you know cuz some people give let’s say you use fish or or you give beef right and
You if you like it lean you’re going to add more fish oil right if you use part of the beef fat and fish oil well that just means that that they’re going to absorb that fish oil first because it’s in liquid form and the beef fat or chicken fat whatever meat you’re using
Later because it has to break down in their system and they absorb it that way so I suggest doing that but pre-workout you know uh have all that your ducks in a row have the feed right have your uh exercise right whatever program going to use you know the dog should already be
Doing before a dog ever gets into keep he should at least know how to do your keep and if you’re raising a dog a certain way and you have certain exercise techniques you like like to use whether it’s a spring pole flirt pole cat Mill treadmill running beside a bike or car
Or anything like that they should already know how to do that before they’re grown before they’re even a year old before they’re 6 months old right because you know that’s another thing I’ve been hearing lately well some dogs don’t like this and sudden dogs don’t like that and most of
The time the reason is because they never been introduced to it so you introduce it to them as uh a young dog or an older dog meaning you know an adult dog after 2 years old or a young dog before a year old right and you’ve spent months of the
Dog not doing nothing the puppy not doing anything not learning that what puppy don’t like to chew on stuff so if you like to use a spring Pole or tug of war they’re natural for it and if he’ll do that he’ll certainly flirt pole cuz he wants to grab the bait you
Know uh you know if you never take him out on a lead just walking and exercising jogging a little bit if you do that the the dog will work a treadmill he’ll work a cat Mill he’ll work a uh uh you know beside a bike or beside your vehicle is just another
Method of him doing the same thing that he’s already been taught to do on that lead they get accustomed to when you put that lead on we’re going to go out and do something we’re going to go out for a walk we’re going to go out for a
Run so any trepidation they have about the allow use noise of the vehicle whether it’s a pickup a car ATV that goes away it goes away especially if you’ve taken your dog for a ride they hear the vehicle running they know it goes so it’s just a natural
Transition from handw walking them or jogging with them to riding a bike with them to using an ATV with them to putting them alongside your vehicle and running you know holding on to the lead they get it they’re smart you can teach dogs all kinds of things but if you
Ain’t done nothing with them that’s where you suddenly get this well my dog don’t like this my dog don’t like that you know he’s never been introduced to it he won’t do it I’ve seen dogs won’t flirt po they just look at it like
What what do you want me to do these are grown dogs well they they’ never been introduced to it so why would they do it and even the older dog you can you can teach them how to do that put a piece of meat on the end of the flirt po see if
You don’t chase it you know just things like that you can manipulate the dog too so for my purposes I wanted the dogs to do my keep the way I did it and any dog could do it it was simple couple of things and that’s it it’s a good workout
Good allaround workout they get their cardio in they get build strength they get to run they loosen up they maneuver move around you know along with that the tug of war inside the the Box you know gets them used to the area all this stuff I’ve talked about before and the
Point I’m reiterating is get them used to doing whatever it is you want them to do if you want to teach them to ride a bicycle you can dogs will do that jump through who you can you know climb trees you can but it’s always best to start when
They’re very young just introduce them to it if you want your dog to climb a tree of course a puppy cannot climb a tree I don’t think four-month old three-month old puppy is not but you can get them and start jumping up the tree right now when they get older you
Just higher and higher till they climb that damn tree and it takes time and it takes months and it takes repetitiveness and over and over again but that’s what you want to do you can teach them to do it most of them some of them they ain’t
Going to do it that’s just the way it is and some dogs are not good workers and some are not hard workers and balls out but there’s nothing wrong with a dog having a slower pace and hitting his Pace however he likes to do the work
Even if he’s just trotting after a flirt Pole or even if he’s just trotting beside your vehicle or just walking the treadmill and maybe picking the pace up a little bit it’s a steady workout that just means at that slower Pace you might do them for a
Longer distance or you might do them for a longer time condition them for a longer time during the workout instead of 5 minutes you might do them 15 minutes a dog can walk for 15 minutes that’s that’s not a big deal so you just adjust it accordingly but
Whatever it is you got going on with your keep have them used to it beforehand and whatever it is you’re feeding during your keep have them used to it beforehand right and in today’s world I’ll say this which is a a uh something that that’s you know been Advanced
Something that wasn’t done a lot more people are actually exercising their dogs more than they used to in the past they’re doing something with them you know they’re taking them out and riding them around or they’re taking them up to the mountains or teaching them to swim
Or you know go out on a bike and run with them or I even seen one used skateboards uh I sold my ke to a guy and he just He adjusted it to that rather than using a bike he just use uh not skateboard but uh skates you know I
Thought it was smart you don’t even hardly have to move there’s nothing to Pedal dog runs and every once in a while he kicks boom goes that’s a way that’s the way you advance stuff that’s the way you you change it up that’s the way you
You you fix it to where it works for you your program doesn’t have to be a bike could be a skateboard could be skates like this kid used I thought it was smart I thought it was good you know and uh it was effective dog got a good workout in fact
He had two of them out there running like that I liked it smart took something my uh my uh you know something that I use in my keep and just twist it a little bit to make it work for him and probably a better way than if he was on a bicycle
You know just by the way it look so you know the other thing I’m ask is what do you do after a workout and there sometimes there’s some issues you know and I’ve always said you know after a workout you want to walk them down to cool them off right walk
Them out cool them off cool them down and that that’s just standard you know you do that after workout but uh this came up what if the dog doesn’t walk out walk to cool down what if because he’s so used to being on that lead that he
Pulls and he doesn’t settle down and he’s rambu and wants to get out there and keep going and keep going which is a good sign even after the workouts done if he’s got plenty left and he wants to get out there work that’s a good sign
But you don’t have to let him work you don’t have to work until he settles down if that’s what your workout says to do that’s it so he asked me what do you do I said just put him on the chain or if you have him in a kennel just put
Him in a kennel and he’ll walk that chain and walk around he’ll still have energy he’ll be in the kennel he maybe jumping around like this and and eventually he’ll cool down on his own that’s just a different way of doing something to get the same result you
Want the dog to cool down afterwards and basically when they’re all heed up like that you that’s you don’t want to give them water you don’t want to feed them when they’re in that frame of mind and that active after a workout that’s the whole purpose for walking them out to
Cool them down is so that their organs function regularly normally right their heart rate their their uh um will slow down their breathing will slow down to normal that’s what you want so if you have a dog like that that’s a hote head and a Barnstormer like that that’s you
Can just do that I wouldn’t put them in a small crate and just let them sit there and breathe heavy and not have to uh area to move around you know I wouldn’t put them in a sky kennel but if you have a kennel run you know or you have
A or you have a uh you know a chain hookup you can do that and just time it see how long it takes them to cool down and as it keep Progressive that cooling off period should become less and less if you’re conditioning them properly and then after they’re cooled
Down that’s when I would give them the the the rub down and it’s a thorough rub down early part of the keep is probably something like 15 minutes as the keep progresses to the middle and at the end it’s closer to a half hour 45 minutes
Rub down seems like a long time but you know I used to take the dog in sections from their muzzle to their head their neck back of their neck front shoulders front legs their back side of their body stifles tail feet even rubbing in between each feet and rubbing each toe
You know uh or rubbing in between each toe and rubbing each toe also you know I did all that their pads and you know some of the things that that you can tell if there’s a problem you know you can tell if they have a torn pad you can
Tell if they have a joint that hurts or tend then that’s torn or a muscle that’s loose loosened up you know and then you can react accordingly you can take care of those pads if there’s a little cut or a Nick or a tear and even if it’s a small one I
Would suggest putting something on it just so it doesn’t get worse and worse as you keep working the dog and if it means you have to give him a day or two off because he’s got a torn pad do it or a cut in his Pad torn pad is pretty
Major so you’d have to wait for it to heel but they get cuts and scrapes on their pads all the time there’s nothing wrong with with addressing it you know it may be putting some oil ointment or some antibiotic on it it may be putting uh
Some cream on it maybe putting uh you know some an antibi antiseptic or or antibiotic you know spray like uh new stock or something like that you know I use we use pad coat I really didn’t have pad had problems because like I said I regularly exercised my dogs and they
Were used to the surface mostly on dirt we ran them you know a little bit on the street but not much you know I don’t like working them letting them run and walk on the street because it’s a hard surface it doesn’t give but in some cases that’s all the options that people
Have sidewalk side of the road walkway you know uh not everybody lives in the country or near the country you know it’s kind of like you hear sometimes these people going well you you know I’m traveling a long distance so I want to go and get my dog acclimated to the High
Altitude this and that well depending on where you live how long does it take you to get to that high altitude you know is it half hour away you know 10,000 ft is it is it is it two hours away you know to get up to that
High you know that that sometimes a math don’t don’t add up with me when people talk about what they do you know I work a dog for eight hours a day I walk my dog 15 miles a day you know it takes time to do that and I’ve said this before the
People that I’ve been with that travel long distance they don’t acclimate their dog to anything other than where they’re at but what they do is have their dog conditioned properly the dog eats at a certain time and empty he’s out at a certain time and they keep that program
Regular and uh they don’t change anything they keep the uh blood cell count where it’s supposed to be and I’ve never seen uh if it’s done properly I’ve never seen adverse effects from weather change or high altitude or thin air or humidity or heat or anything like that there’s some differences but
Those differences affect affect the other dog too so it was the same for both it’s who was prepped how well they traveled how well they got there what they did once they got there and uh uh it wasn’t like during the keep well I’m driving up to 12,000 ft to work my dog
Like I said the math you know you work eight hours depending if you have a commute even if you work next door you have your own business you still got to travel to that high altitude unless you live there if you’re traveling to it and then come back down and do that every
Day that’s a lot of time just like walking them 15 miles why would you walk them 15 miles when you can run them on a bike 15 miles or next to your vehicle 15 miles to me you know hand walking is important it’s part of the conditioning but I never did at any
Time any peak time any workout any time during my life with a dog never really walked over five hours or five miles you know CU it’s going to take some time and if you got to work you got family got other obligations you know that’s why I
Just narrowed it down and narrowed it down to where I’m the hand walking I’m going to do that throughout their life it’s good bonding it’s good exercise for the dog but during the keep I just needed to have them empty out and loosen up you know there’s a uh people think
That you have to work your dog hard you got to run him into the ground and you have to uh work them for long periods of time science new new uh understanding and uh you know has proven you don’t have to do that to be in good condition
To be in great shape you know you can get in a lot of cases you can get the same result from a hard intense short workout than you can from uh you know two or three hours of working so again all of that has to be practice and sometimes time is a factor
Lifestyle is a factor even if you’re going to confirmation shows or weight pulls and all that there’s a lot of factors involved so you have to adjust your lifestyle to what it is you’re doing with the dog but you also have to just adjust what you’re doing with the
Dog and your conditioning the time spent and all that to your lifestyle you know you have other obligations you know you you may have to split up a workout or you may have to work them for a shorter period of time you only have an hour a
Day to work the dog okay make the best of it that’s plenty I’m telling you it Peak workouts some people that I know their their hard workout isn’t more than a half hour at a time the actual workout and it seems like well that ain’t enough this and that well you
Think about it it’s 8we keep seven of the weeks is the workout you’re doing this over and over again anywhere from from 4 to six days a week that’s a lot of work over 7 week period of time you know you may have to adjust you may have to back off you may
Not have to be have so intens of a workout because that’s a lot of work it can become monotonous it can physical problems you know like I said torn pads joint problems muscle problems you know and uh you know the dogs are not are not superhuman in that sense they’re
Super dogs for what we used to do with them in the past but they’re not machines that you can just uh work them into the ground or work them as hard till they’re falling down and then expect good results that’s that’s not how it what’s done not for any athlete athlete human
Or or animal so after the workout it’s cooling down period it’s the rub down then they’re fed and when you feed them it’s after they they settle down and they’re relaxed and that’s what I wanted I wanted them relax so that they eat they’re hungry they eat get all their
Nutrients and then they have a tendency to just relax the rest of the night they’re not jumping around if you have them outside even if you have them secluded even if something runs by or birds or whatever most of the time they’re not going to be active chasing
It they’re tired they’re relaxed their Bell’s full in that respect their their instincts predatory instincts are not going to kick in because even with Predators after they’re after they’ve eaten a gazelle or a rabbit anything can walk by if they’re full they’re not going to chase it they don’t need it
They’re not going to kill it just to kill it most of them ain’t so that’s kind of how I wanted the uh the dogs to be you know so that’s kind of before and after the workout the things I did you know and and you can supplement them after
Some like to give them a slurp slurry you know after the workout after I would suggest again after they’re cool down after they’re you know if you want to give them a little bit you know a few laps or a little you know quarter cup or
Half a cup drink or something just to replenish theirself there’s nothing wrong with that but to let them fill up on fluids afterwards if they’re still heated up and still they’re breathing heavy and and and their heart rate is up I wouldn’t suggest giving them not even
A cup of fluid it’s too much you know it can actually cause them to puke and have other adverse effects on them so uh the other thing I wanted to cover uh as part of this too since we’re talking about nutrients and exercise and all that stuff was uh females coming
Into heat you know and and this is something that that has always happened and there’s reasons for it and there’s preventative maintenance what you can do uh females not having regular heat Cycles you know a lot of it has to do with their health a lot of it has to do
With their food and supplement uh a lot of it has to do with the you know if a female’s not coming in heat not regular right after she’s a certain age after she’s a year old closer to two years old if she’s not coming in regular
It could be a weight problem she could be too heavy it could be that she doesn’t get enough exercise it could be that she’s getting too much exercise a lot of times we know this that when you condition a female they’ll come into heat right and they’ll go through the cycle
And that’s that’s whatever you do whatever you have to do with it but a lot of times what happens with these uh multiple winning females is they have these heat Cycles right but they’re not being bread so they have a long career and and uh during that process they start
Missing heat Cycles because they’re being conditioned a lot that conditioning after a while can actually help prevent them from coming in heat right and exercise is always good exercise always helps them as far as being regular on everything not just their feed not just their emptying out but their heat cycle
Too but and this is true with humans too you know they start missing their menstrual period dogs start missing their heat Cycles it’s because of the intense workouts because of those things like that it could be a supplement problem you could be over supplementing the female and that cuts off that disrupts
Her heat cycle it could be something she’s lacking in her food that disrupts her heat cycle could be she just born that way I had one was like that she would only come in a heat once a year that’s okay at least I knew she was regular in
That respect she never missed that she just didn’t have two cycles a year that happens and there’s some females that no matter what you do no matter how good you feed how you raising this and that they don’t have regular heat Cycles that’s just part of nature I didn’t have
Problems like that because I didn’t uh my dogs didn’t come from females like that and I didn’t keep or introduce females that had funky heat Cycles into my program if I would have had one I probably wouldn’t have bred it because that has a tendency like
Anything else to be passed on so I didn’t want to have no matter how the dog was bred or how good she’s bred or whatever she could do and she’s badass whatever it’s not something I would have dealt with very uh easily because coming in the heat is uh you know important being
Regular is important having regular heat Cycles where the blood comes out dark then it lightens up then they’re in estas for a few days you know they’re ready to be bred or whatever and then they come out of heat they’re pregnant and they go through the cycle of you
Know uh 58 to 63 days they’re going to have the pups just kind of a general thing like that I never had that you know and and you know another thing is also as part of nature you know another thing with female always talk about nature is you
Know uh if you have your females about around other females when they come in heat that helps keep them regular there’s some something to it whether it’s the smell or whatever you know the uh females especially young ones being around females either crated next to
Them or or chains spot next to them or kennel next to them has a tendency of making them regular also and I’m not saying that that uh and maybe you could do this where all your females are going to come in heat at the same time that happens in
Nature a lot you know uh a lot of animals are born during the springtime uh because you know it’s harsh during the winter too hot during the summer so a lot of nature a lot of animals in nature tend to to uh be bred and born right before spring and then
Have The Offspring during the springtime right so in our case you know you can do that with females too you can have them around other females that are coming in heat that are regular and they’ll do that too you know they’ll they’ll come into heat if you don’t do
That a lot of times sometimes that could be the problem why they don’t come into heat because their Natural Instincts for coming in heat haven’t kicked in so you know let’s say you have one female and she’s not regular you know 6 months she doesn’t have a heat cycle a
Year she doesn’t have a heat cycle if you had had another female around there that could have kicked her in coming to heat but because she’s never been around any other female dog that comes in heat that could be the problem why it’s almost like kickstarting them to to uh
Uh you know have natural things happen to them you know if you have a yard of dogs and even if the females aren’t next to each other and they go through that process of coming in heat and you have some younger dog maybe she’s 10 ft away 100 ft away
They can still smell that female they can still see her behavior how she acts they can still uh you know those instincts kick in now I’m not a animal husbandry guy I’m not a nature guy I’m not a science guy or nothing like that but it’s just things that I’ve noticed
That you know when you have animals like that dogs like that together the behaviors and the heat Cycles and everything tends to become normal for all of them so it’s just a way of of you know everything kind of sinking together you know synchronizing together with the
Females that they will you know tend to become regular you know when when when I see problems with females you know my female doesn’t come in heat and I got to give her this supplement and does anybody know of anything that helps and this and that it always you know it’s a
Red flag with with me like why do you just accept she’s like that is there a reason she’s like that is it a supplement problem is it a nutrient problem is it a you know an exercise or non-exercise problem you know is it she’s just a tendency to be me I don’t
Know whatever it is it’s just always cuz you know I didn’t experience that we didn’t experience that even with our cow dogs or muts or German Shepherds or whatever dogs we have they just came in Heat regular and mine did too so there’s always a reason not that mine were perfect and
Everything was right on time and they didn’t have fault they did had a bunch of them and I had to deal with them and uh you know even even some were better mothers than other put it that way you know uh there’s all kinds of things you
Have to deal with but I always tried to address it and figure out why and if it was something I was doing wrong or something I was not giving them something they were lacking I had to uh understand understand that and adjust it and and address it so there’s always a
Reason why and uh uh you know my my my first instinct was not to give them some medicine or give them some supplement or some estris Builder or even with male some you know if they’re missing uh you know uh litters or whatever was not to try and boost their
Ter testosterone or something like that first it was is there a problem you know what is the problem could be something usually it’s something real simple it could be with females you’re missing the day of when they’re in heat ready to be bred uh with males it could
Be they’re not they’re not tying up you know which they don’t have to tie up to get a dog pregnant it could be you know that that most of it is leaking out after you breed them if they have a short tie up and a lot of the sperm
Comes out and not enough gets in there and whatever just a lot of different things but the point is to try and figure out what the problem is first before uh running to the drugstore for your dogs you know there’s a lot of times there’s a natural reason why
There’s a natural remedy why you know uh if I felt my dogs were lacking let’s say calcium or something I didn’t I didn’t really supplement calcium because the calcium was in their food or the calcium was in their vitamin mineral supplement but what I would do I just if I thought it was
Lacking then I just give him a raw bone to chew on you know there’s your extra calcium you know something like that you know if if their if their uh blood count was low or if I you know they were lethargic or their gums weren’t pink you know I
Thought they had a low blood cell count or too high of a white cell count you know my first instinct wasn’t to give him a shot of iron I just give him a piece of liver you know something like that something more natural and and simple you
Know uh so any any stuff you’re going to use uh in my case anyways my my suggestion and what I did was you know have it be natural you know if they you know there’s they’re in the supplement vitamin mineral Trace element of there there’s there was electrolytes in it you
Know there’s magnesium and whatever it is it makes up electrolytes right so if they were not hydrated enough let’s say they were lacking quote unquote in electrolytes you know I didn’t give them more of the supplement I would just give them some beef broth or chicken broth there’s your
Electrolytes plus the moisture without the sugar something along those lines so uh you know this covers some questions that came up uh you know once again thanks to everybody for your for your uh support and all I got my wife here yeah uh press the like button I’ve been
Told you know press the like button subscribe you know you want to get a hold of me for merchandise or anything like that hit me up on uh Facebook um what’s it called Facebook Messenger my email is Richard J Schoolboy 6@gmail.com uh and then I’m on
Instagram we you know we have the uh uh show we do on patreon every Thursday and the reason we began just doing that and not having it every Sunday like we used to do on 78 Sports dog talk is what I’m talking about it because it was being
Flagged and it was being you know uh some of the because of some of the content and what happens is and I’ve had that happened to me before too on even on my channel one time and uh what happens is they give you a certain amount of times
That that can Happ it’s like three strikes and you’re out then they take your channel down or something like that so we decided just to go on patreon another example this last show we didn’t have it on Thursday but we had it on Saturday and what 78 and it’s team would
Do is send out you know the the link and all that just advise everybody hey we’re coming on at 10:00 in the morning whatever it was right well I don’t know how it happened but that link or message or whatever he put out didn’t come out
Till 4 hours after we had already done the show and he sent it out in plenty of time it should have just went to people but it didn’t even pop up for four hours so I don’t know why that is but uh you know this just some of the stuff
That happened and that’s the reason why we’re just doing the patreon show it’s $10 a month if you want to subscribe and we come on once a week it’s usually a couple of hours you can interact on the fly live show and ask questions and man
It’s been going good I just get nothing but good feedback just like I do for my channel you know and even when I’m other other people’s channels you know that I support uh nothing but good feedback so the fraternity really responds and one thing about the fraternity they’re going
To let you know what’s up if you have good content they’ll let you know if you don’t they’ll let you know which is the way it should be you know long as stuff is kept respectful I don’t it doesn’t bother me you know constructive criticism is good if I’m if
I have to be corrected that’s fine I don’t know everything and I never get everything right and I forget a lot of stuff and I get dogs names and people mixed up so I appreciate when the fraternity corrects me because I want the information right and uh that’s one
Way of doing it but you guys been great again thanks for all your purchases and thanks for you know uh what I started doing if somebody buys enough uh stuff for me just to this just to put out there you know they buy let’s say they
Buy a few items right I’ll throw a surprise gift in there you know just to show my appreciation and uh you know that’s just something I’ve always done I never really spoke about it but again the girls tell me I need to mention it this and that whatever the reason just
Like the likes press the like and all that but the whole point of this last Spiel is to thank everybody for your support and uh you know keep coming with the suggestions thanks for your donation you know Charles liot is solid you know he always uh subscribes happy family and
You know different people you guys know who you are but uh you know Dicky Foster is always always supportive and bunch of guys man we see each other all over the place and it’s just it’s almost like a Brotherhood so thanks again feel free to comment you got something to add add it
Put it in there you know I’ll I’ll answer it and even if there’s no comment to the answer the good thing about putting something in there some information is a lot of people read it whether they like your comment or don’t or whatever the importance is is that
You’re putting it out there and someone will at least read it and it could help them so thanks again for your support
