Are very privileged um to be able to um coordinate with them and be able to partner with them on our community Outreach next weekend and so they’re going to be serving along with us next weekend for our community outreach amen and so we’re we’re just thankful about some brothers who don’t mind
Serving and who we’re service is a part of the foundation amen for all of us in here who are Greek amen we know that serving is one of the primary pillars amen of our call in that particular area of Serv servanthood and so we’re just thankful for um this local chapter of
Omega scii um who is sharing with us this morning um it is my understanding that basilis Glenn mcfaden is going to come and Don give a presentation at this time can we so for those of you that are not Greek that mean he the president of the of the local fraternity

And three children amen but he’s a phenomenal man of God and as you can see he’s a part of a great Brotherhood amen of servants and um but before before he was uh a a servant with um Omega Safi he was a servant of the most high God he’s
Been preaching for how long Bishop too long too long to even count amen he’s been preaching for some years amen but uh he still has the the favor of God upon his life the Zeal for the word in his mouth amen and he is one that can

I was I was looking forward to the brothers coming today to to hear her she is an exceptional phenomenal preacher she has preached for us many times um at our church for woman’s conference and different things that she’s came and she always tears things up but she’s been
Doing that for some time even before she came to Emanuel she was tearing up everything down in South Carolina wherever she went and I just praise God uh for bringing us together and allowing us to be in this place to worship uh the Lord together I was not I did not come
To preach um as she said we were just coming to this is our achievement week we had a an exceptional uh achievement week Galla on last night beautiful time together last night and uh we were just looking forward to come into worship she said well you might as well preach I

Resource center and be a part of this presentation brother Avery put this presentation together and we are looking forward to that on Wednesday all right it’s at 7 o’ 7:00 2:20 North Highland Avenue stand for the reading of the word 2 Kings chapter number four very familiar passage of scripture
I’m so glad to see all of you I’m especially glad to see sister Jennifer my daughter amen who was a part of our church in Charlotte got married and left me amen but I thank God she left in order and she served Faithfully while she was with us and I’m thankful that
She continues to serve Faithfully here in Emmanuel second Kings chapter number four and uh just want to encourage this leader I want to uh hopefully share something that the brothers can identify with as well second Kings chapter number four this is the new King James version
That I’m reading I want to begin reading at verse number one number one it says a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha saying your servant my husband is dead and you know that your servant feared the Lord and the Creditor is coming to
Take my two sons to be his slaves so Elisha said to her what shall I do for you tell me what do you have in the house and she said your maid servant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil right then he said go borrow vessels
From everywhere from all your neighbors empty vessels do not gather just a few and when you have come in you shall shut the door behind you and your sons then pour it into all those vessels and set aside the full ones so she went from him
And shut the door behind her and her sons who brought the vessels to her and she poured it out now it came to pass when the vessels were full that she said to her son bring me another vessel and he said to her there is not another vessel so the oil
Ceased then she came and told the man of God and he said go sell the oil pay your debt and you and your sons live on the rest is that what your Bible says I want to reread verse number two it says so elishah said to her what shall I do for
You tell me what do you have in the house and she said your maid servant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil grab somebody by the hand and repeat my subject to them say nothing nothing come on you can say better than that say
Nothing nothing but a jar of oil but a jar of oil you may be seated you may have your seat in the presence of the Lord nothing but a jar of oil are y’all going to help us with the word of the Lord today come on to put your hands
Together for the word of the Lord nothing but a jar of oil our text this morning is a familiar story somewhat of a familiar story that if you have have uh been in and around church for any period of time or perhaps not at some point you may
Have heard this particular text this particular story taught and preached before this is especially true from the perspective of the lessons of faith and trust and obedience and more times than none the lesson of prosperity and Recovery a widow woman the text says comes to the prophet Elisha she shares
With him that his servant who was her husband is now dead she goes on to say that her husband feared or that he reverenced the Lord and that the creditors were coming to take her two sons into slavery in order to pay off the family debt Elija asked
Her a question question what is it that you want me to do for you tell me what do you have in the house she replies that your maid servant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil elishah then gives her some rather strange instructions he tells her to go and
Borrow vessels from everywhere from all of your neighbors empty vessels he says don’t don’t gather just a few but get as many as possible and when you have come in shut the door behind you and your sons and begin to pour the oil into all of those vessels and then set aside the
Full ones the Bible said that this woman and her sons go and begin to collect the vessels and they bring them to uh their mother who begins to pour the oil into those vessels until they are full the widow woman goes and does according to the man of God and Elisha then comes
Back and tells her to now go and sell the oil and you and your sons live off of the rest this widow woman as she was obedient to the man of God shows us how powerful this story is and we learn a few lessons first of all we learn the
Fact that this woman had to act in faith according to the word of the Prophet would in turn also at the same time time enlarge her faith not only that the second lesson we learned is the fact that Elijah would not be present with her and of course her husband being dead
Would also show forth and display the power of God at alone at work in her life this would also my brothers and sisters encourage her to Greater faith and the third lesson we learn is that devout obedience can and will will produce Bountiful blessings in one’s life although we are exergetically sound
And noting the message of faith and the message of trust and obedience in this story we also recognize the very valid message of prosperity and the means of paying off debt however for our purpose today and to bring this story somewhat into present truth it is an old story
That we want to bring into present truth there are two things in particular that triggered in my spirit from this story number one this widow woman has suffered a tragic loss the Bible tells us that her husband is dead and that her husband feared God and it is apparent that she
Served in Ministry with her husband biblical historian Josephus reports along with other rabbis that her husband was was in fact the prophet Obadiah who according to First Kings chapter 18 hid 100 prophets during Jezebel’s persecution 50 of them they hid in a cave and fed them bread and gave them
Water to drink obadiah’s wife now continues this ministry of service until she was no longer financially able to do so not only had this woman lost her husband but the textt says that she is in debt and that the creditors are coming to take her two sons into slavery
In order to pay off the debt which is well within their rights according to the Mosaic law that they were to work up until the Year of Jubilee uh tell somebody he’s going somewhere here it is now her husband is dead and she she is in debt my God her
Husband is no longer with her he is dead and she is up to her eyeballs in debt my brothers and sisters what a combination of tragic events but it’s a combination that if the truth be told many people are dealing with right now when Elijah
Asked her what did she have in the house notice that the woman replied nothing but a jar of oil in other words sometimes the pain of what you have lost along with tragic tragic events of your past will cause you to make light of and belittle the worth and the value the

Significance of what she had and I’ve come to tell somebody that there’s more in your life I mean more in your jar than what you realize I want somebody to understand that you have more left over after you have gone through what you have gone through I’ve come to tell you
That you’ve got enough left to start over with this woman said I have nothing but a jar of oil she didn’t even understand the significance of what she had left and many people my brothers and sisters don’t realize it per perhaps because she’s already negated it she’s already belittled it by calling it
Nothing but a jar of oil my brothers and sisters you will never understand the full potential of what you have until you release it from its confinement you will never understand the significance of what you have at your disposal until you release it from the confinement in which is in that’s
Why the enemy fights you so hard that’s why the enemy teams up with your flesh to fight you in order to keep you from understanding the potential that you have in your jar and so their main assignment is to keep you focused and crying over dead

Complaining about where you are God will show you how phenomenal you really are slap somebody high five and tell them you got more left than you realize be seated if you ever release what you have in your job it’ll bless your life and it’ll bless everybody connected to you if you
Ever come to understand the magnitude of what you got left at your disposal it’ll bless everybody in your house if you ever get a revelation of what God has already invested in you and you start releasing that pouring that into other people watch God bless your life you remember you remember you
Remember the story of Mary who takes an alabaster box Bible says that Mary has a an alabaster box a box of of expensive fragrant oil Mary takes that box filled with fragrant oil the Bible says that she broke it up and poured that oil on Jesus but here’s the blessing the Bible says
That the whole house was filled with the fragrance of the oil that Mary released here Mary comes in crying tears in her eyes she’s got an expensive box of oil because you know it is costly and that’s why the enemy tried to mess you up because he don’t want you to know the
Cost that you’ve already paid to obtain what you have and so what the enemy wants you to do is not fully understand where you are who you are and what you have at your disposal but when Mary opened up that box everybody in the house got blessed because they smelt the
Fragrance of the oil I’m trying to tell somebody third and fourth Generations are about to sing about you because of what you’re getting ready to release Le in your life and in your house tell somebody I got more left than what you realize look at the

About what what to share today I I made the discovery that that that I did not realize about myself I discovered that I too am in [Applause] debt oh Lord tell somebody I’m in debt too I’m in debt I discovered I discovered that I’m that I’m in debt
What is what is that what is that debt what is debt debt simply means that you owe more than what you can pay it it it simply means that that you got more that needs to go out than you have coming in it it means that what’s coming in is
Not enough it’s it’s not adequate enough to handle what needs to go out and and I made the discovery that that that I’m down to nothing but a jar of oil and I made the discovery when I asked the Lord how do I Empower this leader today how do I encourage the
Leadership of this church how do I pour into my brothers today how do I encourage somebody how do I help somebody how do I affect the people of God when I feel so weak and inadequate that’s that’s what really brought me to this text the Bible says
That to whom much is given much is required yeah I got it but but what do you do when you feel you haven’t been given much and yet the lord requires so much more from you yeah I think I might have lost a couple of y’all but but a
Few of y’all I I see some tears coming in your eyes you know why because you keep trying to figure out God why do you keep requiring more of me and yet it still it feels like I don’t have but a little bit left myself I know this may
Not hit everybody but I’m talking to somebody under the sound of my voice that you keep pouring into other people and you’re trying to figure out when is the Lord going to turn around and bless you because he keeps requiring you to do more for others while you feel so
Insignificant yourself tell somebody he’s talking to me believe I’m speaking to leaders I’m believe I’m speaking to some people who are involved in Ministry those who are faithfully and those in ordinary everyday situations when you come to realize that you have nothing left but a
Jar of oil now in dealing with debt in natural uh you try to you know make some payment arrangements you call them on the phone you you try to get a consolidation loan you you try to do something to ease the burden you try to negotiate a settlement try to pay some
Stuff off you pull out Big Mama’s recipe start cooking some sweet potato pies trying to sell you you trying to do some stuff so you can pay off the debt but but but look look look at the counsel in the text that Elijah tells this woman Elisha says here’s your
Solution he says go everywhere to your neighbors and and your friends he says borrow empty vessels he said and I want you just to get a few and I want you to start pouring that oil into the empty borrow vessels and then set aside the
Ones when they are full and so what El should does stay with me to help alleviate This Woman’s debt situation was that he reintroduced her to the ministry of pouring into empty vessels I’mma say it again he reintroduced her to the ministry of pouring into empty vessels notice I said
Reintroduce because she was already familiar with this ministry because in essence that’s the ministry that she and her husband were doing the prophet Obadiah when they were hiding those people in caves feeding them bread and giving them water they were pouring into empty vessels but now because her
Husband is dead and because she is in debt she’s lost track of the ministry assignment that God had given unto her so Elijah says I want to re introduce you to the ministry of pouring into empty vessels tell somebody around you don’t act like you don’t know this
Ministry yeah don’t act like don’t act like you don’t know this ministry I I know it gets tiresome sometime I know you get a little tired I know sometimes you get down and out and you trying to figure out when is somebody going to pour something into me but God keeps on
Requiring you to keep pouring into other people and I’m trying to tell you if you stop complaining about having nothing but a jar of oil if you stop complaining about having nothing but a little bit God is going to bless your life he’s going to bless you abundantly he’s going
To do more for you than you can ever imagine in your life tell somebody it’s a reintroduction that’s the word that’s the word for somebody in this place yeah take what you have left yeah take what you’ve labeled as nothing but a jar of oil and start pouring it into empty
Vessels and God bless your life but but here’s here’s here’s the struggle I’m heing y’all here’s the struggle uh somehow you got to resolve that the assignment to others the assignment to empty vessels is greater than our personal feelings greater than our past failures greater than our shortcomings
In other words somebody under the sound of my voice you have something majorly significant to invest into other people but because somebody around you know a little something something about your past the enemy keeps giving you flashes of the things that you did in your yesterday to make you feel shamed cuz
The more shame he can bring on you the more you sit around and not invest in other people but God put you in this earth and gave you what he gave you so you can make investments into other people I got to get out of here but for
Some of y’all as soon as you stop being selfish and take the little bit that you got left and start pouring it into other people watch God bless your life and soon as soon as you take the focus off of yourself and learn how to focus on
Other people God’s going to bless your life don’t you know you’re already blessed right where you are how dare you porke your lip out looking all ashy because you can’t pay the bills this week when you woke up with a roof over your head you got to to realize you’re
Already blessed right where you are sit down that’s just that’s just like God take your seat that’s just like God that right in the midst of personal struggle right in the midst of personal grief right in the midst of sorrow and pain and difficulty that’s just like God
To give you a greater assignment to other people you’ve been praying Lord what about me what about me when you going to bless me when you going to do this for me God when you going to do this for me God ain’t answering those prayers but as soon as you start making
Investments in other people God will not only answer your prayer you won’t have to pray about it no more cuz he’ll bless you exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask couple of things that I’m going to B y’all good morning couple of things I
Want to share with this out of this text and I’m going to get out of the way first of all watch the text notice that the vessels are empty tell somebody the vessels are empty theel are empty one of the greatest problems that we’re facing in the 21st century church and

Your friends to your neighbors go everywhere borrow empty vessels yeah our churches our churches are plagued with people who come already full yeah some of them are full of canola oil vegetable oil peanut oil and many of them crazy oil Lord have mercy they come with with stuff already in
Them what they receive what what what they receive many of them they come with stuff they’ve already received bouncing from one Church to the next but but I want to challenge Emmanuel I want to challenge the leadership of this church I want to challenge the people of God uh to not be
Comfortable in this building my Lord but to go outside of the church and gather some empty vessels Lord have mercy all these Church transfer Church hopping mixed up oil people will drain you of your oil Bishop full vessels according to the text are to be set aside and used in
Other words they ought to be set aside and used they ought to be emptied so that they can then be refilled y’all going to get it in the more in a minute church family kingdom and people of God when y’all get full of oil do me a favor
And go and pour that oil into somebody else when you get oil deposited into you Brothers y’all with me I want you to turn around and deposit that oil into somebody else when you get full of oil y’all looking at me crazy but let me let
Me make it plain every Sunday you come up in this church and you sit there while your leader pours oil into you every Sunday you leave here full every week when you leave here full every week do me a favor leave this place and go and take what
She gave you and pour it into somebody else instead of sitting around on in the in your cubicle at work listening to the latest drama and gossip for the weekend you ought to tell them let me tell you what my pastor invested in me on yesterday let me pour into you what was
Poured into me we don’t just pour into you so you can just shout and have a good time and get ready to come back next week you came back from last Sunday you came in here already [Applause] for I’m hurrying y’all you remember the story of Jesus teaching the multitude on
The side of the mountain the Bible says that the disciples come to Jesus and they tell him Master the hour is getting late he says dismiss the people give give the benediction so they can go and buy food for themselves read that story the Bible says that Jesus turns and
Looks at the disciples and he says you feed them Jesus says you feed them the disciples like where we going to get food to feed her it’s over 5,000 people where we going to get food to feed those people if you read the text clearly you will understand that Jesus gets upset
That’s why after the miracle he goes to the mountain to pray and he tells the disciples get in the boat go to the other side I got to go pray cuz I’m upset cuz I’m trying to figure out y’all been with me almost 3 years now what do
You mean you don’t have nothing to feed the I’ve been feeding you Rascals for almost 3 years and you don’t have nothing to feed nobody else Shake somebody hand and tell them you got to feed somebody else not only I could preach that some more but my time is gone not only are
The vessels empty but the second thing I want you to know is y’all Sit down you’re making me nervous the second thing I want you to know is that the vessels are borrowed not only are the vessels empty but the vessels are borrowed tell somebody we got to keep praying the man
Of God through God Elijah said go everywhere and borrow empty vessels and and Bishop I I want to say this to you you because this is something the Lord dropped in my spirit many years ago I I I want you to I want to say this in this atmosphere and and I
Know it may offend some people but but I need to say a bishop I need to say leaders uh stop taking ownership of what’s on loan to you there was a hush over the building yeah stop stop taking ownership of what’s on loan to you they are borrowed
Vessels and the Lord convicted me because I kept saying Yeah my people this my people that my church this my people that and my people Pastor I love you and then next year later I’m leaving and I would sit around and be hurt and be offended God said to me the reason
You so hurt and offended is because you took ownership of what I allowed to be on loan to you they are my people they do not belong to you some of y’all got quiet and you got offended and some of y’all that’s offended you’re the one that caused the
Most problems yeah I said it you are a borrowed vessel baby you belong to God and as soon as you stop trying to please everybody and please God he’ll bless your [Applause] life they are borrowed vessels they’re not my members we love y’all I said we love y’all but God
Forbid if something happened to Bishop Moore this church will be full and y’all will be about to jump in the casket with a lord my preacher Lord Jesus now give her her flowers now be careful this and the Lord dropped this in my spirit he says son be care careful
Not to allow borrow vessels to stop you from pouring your oil don’t let other folk offend you to the degree that you no longer pour into other People it it’s very easy to just shut down and say I ain’t doing nothing else cuz ain’t nobody appreciating what I’m depositing you got to be careful not to let other people around you stop you from doing what God placed you in Emmanuel to do because all of us belong to
God tell somebody everybody belong to God everybody and I need to tell you I need to tell you Emanuel I need to tell you all my brothers in these in these wonderful royal purple and old gold clothes I I need to tell all of you the people of God that there are empty
Vessels that are waiting on you to pour oil into you there are empty vessels there are borrow vessels that are waiting on you to pour the oil but you can’t be so offended by borrow vessels that you don’t pour I know sometimes you scratch your head and say God is just eight
Versus 80 but you got to suck it up and you got to work and keep pouring the oil even when it’s just a few people working you be there you keep working you keep serving you keep pouring the oil don’t let borrowed vessels offend you I know they came in
Empty got your oil and now they won’t tithe tell somebody keep pouring yeah I know they turn around and do the opposite of what you preach but tell somebody keep pouring yeah I I I know they can be disrespectful to your family to and to your ministry but you got to
Keep pouring I know sometimes you feel like you’re wasting your time and and that is all in vain but Bishop keep pouring I know they’ll hate on you and they will literally sit down on you they’ll look at you like you’re crazy while you’re operating in Ministry but
You got to keep pouring I know you’re ready to throw in the towels I know you’re ready to call it quits but they are not your vessels they belong to God and God sent me here to tell you that in spite of how it looks and how you feel
You’ve got to keep pouring tell somebody you got to keep pouring we’re witnessing now like never before an unprecedented number of clergy who are committing suicide throwing up their hands in quitting and many of them because of the pressures of ministry and the lack of support from borrowed vessels but extend
Your hand towards bishop and tell her not today not today not today come on we speak long life we speak Health we speak stressfree Ministry over You last thing I got to tell you and I and I’m getting out of here is that pay attention note the regulation of the flow of the oil in other words what causes this oil to flow Elisha said to her gather a few vessels but then in verse six when she
Asked for another vessel her son reported that there was not another vessel I’m almost finished y’all the text then says that the oil ceased so the sons of bringing in these empty borrow vessels she’s pouring the oil into the vessels and then she ask for another vessel and the Bible says that
The oil then ceased in other words borrowed empty vessels affects the flow of the oil if you go get a empty borrow vessel it will trigger a flesh a fresh flowing of oil production in other words you don’t need a new vision for your ministry you need a borrowed empty
Vessel you don’t need all of the fancy cliches and all the cat Sands to be successful you just need empty borrow of vessels you just need empty folk sitting in the pews to pour into because when empty people are the focus of your ministry are pouring God will let the
Oil keep flowing yeah having a wonderful praise break on YouTube and having all of the trappings of ministry and being the happing Church in the city is all well and good but start pouring oil and Watch What Happens tell somebody I dare to start pouring oil I to you may not
Have but a little you may not have title and position like other people have but if you start pouring the oil I promise you God will bless your life lastly now that if this woman had nothing but a jar of oil one jar of oil how could she keep
Pouring oil from this one jar into the many other borrowed empty jars the text left me perplexed how can this woman keep pouring oil from one jar into the many empty jars so much so that when the oil ceased elishah told her to go and
Sell the oil pay your debts and you and your son live off of the rest my God all of that oil from one jar how could the oil keep flowing from one jar into all of these many vessels God how come the text is clear on how the oil kept
Flowing from one jar to the next but it’s not clear on how the oil came from this one jar why is the text clear about the empty vessels and not having another vessel causing the oil to cease but the text is unclear on how the oil kept
Flowing from this one jar and I was scratching my head trying to figure out God what’s going on in the text how can this woman pour oil from one jar and keep pouring it into many jars in order to fill up all of these empty borrow
Jars that her son brought to her God what is the text trying to teach us and the Lord spoke to me he said Son the reason we’re not sure read the text again the reason you’re not sure how the oil kept flowing from this one jar to
The many jars is because the door was shut you’ll get it in a moment the door was shut remember now Elijah instructed her to collect empty vessels and go in and shut the door and you and your son start pouring oil into the vessels in other words the reason we don’t know is
Because it was A Private Matter this was a matter between her and God in other words tell somebody it’s none of your business your it’s none of your business I can’t explain it it don’t make sense and I but somehow the oil just kept flowing from this one jar to the many
Jars it doesn’t add up on paper it doesn’t make sense it seems kind of crazy that this one jar would fill up so many jars but I need to tell you brothers and sisters that nobody will understand how powerful your alone time is With God all we know is that oil
Miraculously flowed from this one jar with no appar connection to another jar no apparent connection to another vessel but how tell somebody again it’s a private matter it’s none of your business but Jesus put it this way in Matthew chapter 6 and verse number six he says when you
Pray go into your room and when you have shut the door pray to your father who is in the secret place and the father who sees in secret where reward you openly in other words I can’t explain how it happens all I know is that when I get
Alone with God yeah I get more oil yeah it doesn’t make sense to other people and and they look at you funny and scratch their head cuz they’re trying to figure out how in the world you keep on making it but what they don’t understand is how powerful your alone time is with
God because every time you get along with God you get more strength you get more joy you get more patience every time you get along with God you come out better than you were when you first went in that’s why the enemy’s plan is to mess up your prayer time cuz every time
You get along with God you get more oil Shake somebody hand around you and tell them I dare you to get along with God I know it sounds crazy I know other people can’t explain it but every time I get along with God and shut the door on my
Problems at work I get more oil every time I get along with God and shut the door on my marital problems I get more oil every time I get along with God and shut the door on my financial problems I get more oil I can’t explain it to you
And I know it may not make sense but every time I get a on with the father and shut the door on my financial dilemas I get more oil every time I get along with God and shut the door on worry and stress I get more on and
That’s why the enemy hates your guts cuz he thought you was going to give up a long time ago but if you was going to stop me you should have stop me before I got along with God and shut the door cuz when when I shut the door I get more oil
I went in frustrated but I came out with strength I went in depressed but I came out with new Joy I went in tired but I came out with more strength every time I get along with God I get more oil get up out of your seat run to somebody shake
That hand real good and tell them I dare you to get along with God I said tell them I dare to get along with God because every time you get along with God you get more oil every time you make up in your mind I’m not
Going to be on Facebook I’m not going to be on Twitter I’m not going to be on IG I’mma shut down Netflix I’mma go in the closet and I’mma shut the door you went in one way but you come coming out another way and the next time you see me
I’mma have more joy the next time you see me I’mma have more oil the next time you see me I’mma have more strength shake your neighbor’s hand and say neighbor say neighbor the next time you see me I’mma have more joy I’mma have more strength I’m have more blessings
I’mma have more oil that’s why the enemy can’t stand you that’s why the enemy hates your guts cuz every time he think he got you you show back up later and you got more oil yeah yes every time the enemy tries to stop you you keep showing

Problems that they’re going through and what they’re dealing with almost 90% of them when I ask them do you attend a local church they say to me no they say to me no and I share with them it’s important for you to be a part of a local church why you get strength
You get the fellowship the Greek word is called corania yeah the old Saints used to say Fellowship means more than one fellow in the ship it’s called corania listen life will beat you up by yourself you need you need a church family you need a church home you need
Some people that will help hold you accountable some people that will walk you through the storms that you go through in life and if you’re in this place I want to tell you this is the this is the opportunity get up out of your seat and come and say preacher I
Want to be a part of this church I want to be a part of this ministry don’t look around at nobody else the Lord is dealing with you that’s right this may be your moment and your time and if I were you I wouldn’t wait another moment

Weeks of of the year on Sundays and Wednesdays I I may I may get to sit in that seat maybe four times maybe four times out of the year and and and after a while you just need to sit down somewhere and so this week I’m going to sit down
