Was going on so I’ve been watching your series and it is really juicy in case you all don’t know it’s about the Greek life pretty much but you talk about the pledging process and then life on campus and then these College relationships which is very well what made you even
Create this web series and I don’t want to do I’m Greek i’m a member of our file for Tony incorporated ok and now and i went to a HBCU you know I’m a filmmaker now so I was like you know what it would be dope if we got a chance to see what
Greek life is actually about you know I mean like the ins and outs of what it takes to become a brother and what you actually go through lat you bill your bond between your brothers and sisters while you’re a lot all while telling experiences of students on a HBCU campus
So I yeah I saw a lot of films and stuff like that and they usually they’re like really entertaining but if I could say it on a commercial level like that’s not a bad thing it’s just that it was more for entertainment and actual showing you
What people actually go through so I was gonna ask you where were you thoughts about like stomp the yard a drumline I mean they were very very very well done they were acted very well and production was amazing but yeah it was it was a
Element of it that was I was missing and a piece that I can kind of point out to you a lot of people being able to point on to see off all top is that most of those movies always culminate at the end with a step show ya know what Greek with
The Greek life is about is not about stepping stepping is maybe a tenth of what we do but that’s what most people know us for exactly what them you know so I enjoyed those films but I’ve been so light I feel like it was topical the other it was a situation that they
Really didn’t go underneath the hood if you will and I wanted to make sure that were black boots that we did that with stuff the yard no they did a little about relationships they did I speak on brotherhood and history a little bit but ultimately it was about stepping yeah step show
Everything and it seems like that’s the only reason why he wanted to get into one of the fraternities it’s wrong you know their step show it’s a lot of I can’t I want to say this to like it’s a lot of them when i say entertainment
Again is no disrespect and just like the process of the point where the guy they approached him it was idea we want you to be a far are recording vision that doesn’t happen don’t know how does it normally happen i normally have is you as the student would do your research
But make sure that you choose a Greek organization that one you feel like is on something you will stand for for the community service and things of that sort and then once you figure that part out you would you have to do is express your interest right so pretty much the
Student goes up to the fraternity not exactly way around so a lot of people and outsiders looking in other college students they might also feel like oh you know some of these fraternities or sororities they may will see the stepping part of it what is your take on
People who do not understand it because some people also think is just a popularity contest your dreams and this and that so let me know what does it mean to you what is being in a fraternity muse to you for me is really about like having someone to be there
For you but I think a lot of people get caught up in like you said the glamour if you will the popularity of what it looks like but they don’t really understand what what the principles are for each eternity you know and that’s Brotherhood and that’s community service
And I think a lot of people joining for the wrong reasons and uh you know that’s another reason why a lot of people are in financial once they graduate you know that’s over with their project is a guy that’s a lot of them this what we call
Jackie where’s or know your wares no they don’t do us was needed for the fraternity to cannot drive and ideally but they don’t want to do yeah yeah they don’t want to do the work there’s a lot of a lot of people out there like that
So I would just say no ma I’ll suggestion is to definitely watch black boots well other than but other than that if you have interest in joining a Greek organization make sure you do your research and that organization is how the nation one wants to like to
Represent you and to that you absolutely feel like that you can represent well absolutely so on your series black boots the characters I think are going through their pledging process so they make their big brother lat they have to recite you know sometimes in history
Lessons and all of this and but just in general because as pledging and then it’s hazing right or is that the same I’m not sure it’s different right there’s a difference between hazing inflected and most of what you’ve seen so far in black balls i would say is
Pledging ok but there is a very nice I’ve heard about hazing info do you do you think that hazing has gone a little too far you
