See on the Sunday morning and I thought all of them would come to Little Rock but I guess they going to bank America Stadium amen amen the Panthers are asking the question what more can I do amen How about win a game amen amen amen just one of them amen amen amen amen God be praised God be praised but we thank God for all of you who made it in and uh we continue to um enjoy a wonderful wonderful time I thank you for your
Prayers I’ve been on a road um working on this campaign and I thank God for uh keeping me safe as I have traveled left here Wednesday and thank God for um brother dirt Clark who accompanied me in fact he drove most of the way we had to go to La uh that’s Lura
Alabama amen we drove all the way L Alabama uh amen so we thank God for that trip with to Jackson Alabama right outside of not too far from Mobile so it’s was about almost a 9-hour trip there and back and then we got back early Friday morning and around 2:00
P.m. uh Reverend C Rashard Alexander accompanied me in fact he drove uh to Greenville North Carolina and I declare that’s a 4-Hour trip ask me how I know how you know it took 5 hours amen and so it was um a lot of traffic but we got
There and made it back and got back in about uh 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and uh I was here believe it or not I was here about 7:45 a.m. uh for man up amen amen and we had a wonderful wonderful time beautiful beautiful breakfast thank God for the
Culinary Ministry let’s give God praise for them he’s beautiful women if we had to breakfast at 8 I know they had to be here much earlier than that and they served a wonderful breakfast fit for kings and uh we thank God for their spirit and for the wonderful turnout of
Men both from this church and from the community and we had a marvelous uh marvelous breakfast a spirit filled breakfast and a great message by my friend Reverend Dr Reginal kit who’s the pastor at the St Stevens Metropolitan Church in High Point North Carolina he brought a powerful powerful message and
Then we came in at 10: and had a wonderful panel discussion on the topic uh developing our faith from Boys to Men and that uh panel discussion was moderated by none other than brother Robert a horley he did a great job moderating the um that that event amen
Amen and we had some wonderful panelists and we were blessed by their answers young men this church I’ve watched them all grow up and maturing into wonderful young men uh Mr gryan Goodwin he was a powerful powerful panelist amen Grayland he’s up there now in the booth God bless
You Grayland amen amen uh Mr Isaiah Robinson and we thank God for Isaiah amen and we continue to pray for that family I know that sister nikah lost her uncle and um so I don’t know uh we just continue to pray for that family but we thank God for Isaiah uh just just
Great great words and then we thank God for uh Mr miles Macky who was here he also did a wonderful job Miles and uh these young men poured out from their heart I thought it was a great great panel discussion I want to thank the men for having that idea I uh
Spoke to as I sh with you before we continue to grieve uh certainly grieve the loss of the leader of our Men’s Ministry who served for many years brother Chris cwell left us um in just a few few days ago and uh one of the last
Things that he did before he left this church that Sunday morning was that he had met with men to plan for this ManUp occasion and he and I talked the day after telling me what the men were planning on doing and how it was that they thought that this time they would
Utilize as panelists our own young men I got excited about that we were excited also about the fact that we were going to be in person this time because since the pandemic we have been doing the Saturday sessions um virtually but this was the first time since covid we were
Able to gather in person and he and I were both excited about that and then before that week that we had that discussion the Lord took him uh but we celebrated his life along with the lives of two other men who left us during the same week Brother Moore and brother
Johnson and we continue to reflect on their lives as we continue to celebrate their legacies and to carry on the work that was begun and that’s the wonderful thing about God that God uses us that one plants one Waters but God gives the increase amen the work has to continue
And we thank God for the men who have continued the work and I know that Chris uh would be pleased at how things turned out on yesterday and we thank God you heard me make the announcement a few days ago that I wanted to meet with the
Men uh to finish planning uh this this uh event uh but not only did we meet with them but we did three things during that meeting first thing that we did was that we um were able to establish the new leadership of our men’s boosters and
We were able to um um officially name the new president which would be the vice president who served and that is Mr Ron L Nelson give God praise for Ron I’m going to ask him to come down and join me here as as I continue to
Speak uh give God praise again for him as he comes amen I uh was watching TV the other day and looked up and he was sitting up there on TV uh talking about man up and sister lar was on TV last week and he’s
On TV this week I was on TV this week that we on TV around here amen amen amen amen come on come on up brother Nelson give God praise for him amen and uh not only did we establish him as the new leader but we also established the vice president was
Elected that’s Mr uh kley he was he participated earlier U oh he’s behind amen all right I’m looking you’re good amen so we thank God for him too he’s a vice president of our men’s booster and uh we did that as well the other thing that we did is um I
Shared with them that I was led and believe that based on the service of uh brother calwell and how it is that he served so Faithfully this church not only as a men’s booster but in so many other capacities they want to do something to memorialize as his memory
Uh at this church for perpetuity and um and uh one thing that the men agreed I’m going to ask that they would please stand today all the men’s men’s boosters please stand with us amen amen as you know every year uh brother calwell had the idea to give each year
What he called the president’s award and he would award this award to a man that he felt exemplified the characteristics that the men’s booster uh wanted to uh model and he always chose one who served so faithfully and so the men agreed with me that what we would do to memorialize
Brother cwell is that instead of be calling the president award we would establish an annual award called the Chris calwell award amen amen amen sister an is not here but uh I want you to know that the first recipient of the Chris cwell award is awarded prous to Mr Christopher

And Chris was here and he uh uh wrote a poem and it was a powerful poem celebrating man up and it was just good to see him and to hear him and seeing and hearing him was like having Chris here because I told him anytime you miss
Your dad look in the mirror cuz he looks just like Chris sounds just like him amen let’s give God praise again for that family amen amen amen amen as we continue to worship I let me remind you that we are in the month of November and we are studying and celebrating
Stewardship month here at Little Rock we continue to ask you to plead with you to admonish you to advise you uh to follow the dictates of God’s word and seek to become a tither uh this is something that God has um desired and required for
All believers uh to do as you trust him obey him and we ask that you would please do that and you will be rewarded by your obedience God does not reward Disobedience am amen but God rewards obedience and for those who tithe help me celebrate the fact that you can’t
Beat God’s giving no matter how hard you try am I right about it amen amen so if you’ve never tried doing it try it for just one month to give God 10% of whatever God get given you give it to the storehouse and uh he promised that
He would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings you don’t have room enough to receive and I know that God keeps his promises anybody believe that God keeps his promises amen amen amen amen God be praised um the north Charlotte District project as you know every year the district U
North Charlotte District missionary Society has their um District project and usually features one of the Departments of the women’s home and overseas missionary Society I believe that this particular um year is the life members I believe the life members amen and so we want to be sure that we
Support them uh normally there organizations or Ministries in our church who give ads for um that the district project we do know that sister Roy Buck has been ill and uh then we asked sister Cardwell to step in in herstead but of course we know that she
Is still in the process of mour and so um we did not push this as we normally would would so we needed to help us help us because we want to be sure that little rock is represented um in in in a very respectable way for the district
Project and want to thank those Ministries who did respond we sent a letter out to you this week thank you for responding to that letter and today I’m going to ask as we bring our offering that along with your tithe that you also bring a special gift for the
District project so that we’ll be sure that we’re represented so I’m asking you to bring something extra we’re going to ask maybe two of the missionaries to stand with the stewards and uh when you come please bring a special gift to support that effort amen amen Lord I
Couldn’t hear nobody pray Amen Let the church say amen amen amen God bless you for your cooperation amen God bless you um I do want to ask that you be in prayer of my family um I shared with the men on yesterday that um as you know my first
Wife who passed away Geneva um had a family and as far as I’m concerned and Donna knows this that her family will always be my family just as her family is my family uh but we are grieving because one of the every year uh we would have U members of her family who
Would come or relatives would come for thanks giving and one of the ones who would come would be her cousin Shonda and her son Mikey uh Mikey um is 23 years old and last Saturday um was found shot and um his services will be held on tomorrow he’s 23 years old so my
Daughters are on their way to DC to be with their cousins and grandmother to celebrate uh the loss of that young man and so uh we it it continues to highlight why we do what we do uh because what happened to this family unfortunately is a pervasive situation
That’s happening all over uh this nation uh we have Al we already felt that impact in this church by the same type of situation and we want to be sure that we do our part to continue to uh raise awareness and Consciousness and do what
We can to save our seed amen and so we thank God for um those who are helping us to do that we continue to trust God for uh our young men to be safe and become continue to develop but I ask that you remember them as you pray uh
They’re on their way to Washington they’re traveling now there and remember that family as well amen amen amen and amen we uh want to I mentioned the fact that I was uh on television last week as well you may um other day we were awakened to the
News of um an incident that occurred here in the city where a police officer was on film um something had occurred at the Bojangles on Trion and um uh a police officer in fact four police officers uh held down a young lady while another police police officer
Uh was found saw on film beating her uh with his fist and um we thought that was just a bit excessive uh in fact we know that was a bit excessive it was uncalled for as far as I’m concerned and so I stood with the the president of the nacp
And we were able to go and have a meeting with the chief of police uh we had a 90-minute meeting with him and he shared our concerns and hopefully we will see U an outcome that will satisfy this community uh um we were making such progress with police and community
Relations and I think that that particular moment has set us back uh we’re going to continue to call it out when we see it amen because that was uncalled for amen we want to keep our people safe we want to support our police officers but we do not want to
See uh we want to because you wonder if the same kind of treatment would be given to a young lady who was other than black amen where they have treated her the same way uh so certainly we know they have to do their job and and protect the interest
And serve the community but don’t be beating up on the women amen don’t we do that don’t beat up on the women so man up amen up amen so we want to be sure that uh we continue to raise that amen um and we will be watching to see
What the outcome would be from that situation amen I declare we will amen I have a card here I want to share to Reverend Dr Dr Walker and The Little Rock Amy Zion church family we the brothers of pii chapter of the Mak sacii fraternity incorporate would like to

Back and we missed him while he was away from us a tremendous tremendous brother a tremendous tremendous preacher a lover of the most high God a faithful and effective pastor and leader in our denomination and one who has been a tremendous friend and brother and encourager to me and so when it came
Time for man up and who it was that we would have to share on this day my heart and mind fell on the Reverend LR white and I called him and he graciously consented to come he is the pastor of the Kesler Temple Aman Church in Henderson North Carolina is doing a

Perfecting of the Saints for the work of the ministry for the Ed ifying of the body of Christ till we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the Statue of the fullness of
Christ verse 14 that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of Doctrine by the slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in weight to to deceive but speaking the truth in love may grow up unto him in
All things which is the head even Christ verse 16 from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth according to the effectual working in the measure of every part which maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love
This text is a description of a perfect body the body of Christ it is designed and it is a live organism the text shows how this live organism the body of Christ operates and the IDE ideal manner of operation is suggested that the body of it at the body of Christ exists to
Coexist along with other parts sir his body exists to coexist along with other parts of the body as we wrap up and conclude this men Summit I want us to think about how we are to co-exist together if we indeed are going to man up up and be strong men of God
And when I say men of God I’m talking about women also oh yeah we must learn to co-exist together every part of Christ’s body is compacted together with each where each joint supplies the need of another from whom the whole body fully joined together and compacted by that which every joint
Supplies every joint is helping another joint one of these days Dr Walker I’m going to preach a sermon I’ve been thinking about it for a long time I’m glad you are a member of my church oh yeah the cenal church is the church that’s inside of you sir and
The church that’s inside of me and I am not in that church without somebody else you are a part of my little church yeah that dwell Wells on the inside of us this text is showing us the Dynamics of a body that has been uniquely put
Together church I want us to look at the model the perfect body of Christ look at how he set up his body and how his body is to be maintained let us look at how his body grows look at how his body loves and makes increase we are here to encourage the
Men in particular in this man up Summit that is let us man up stand up let us man up come up let us man up go up yes sir and let us fulfill all the things that are placed in our responsibility that has come before for
Us let us go to the place where Christ wants us to be and he has given us his very B body as the model to show us men where we should be the great the way Christ has put us together is for us to operate within the
Confines of his body the body of Christ is a safe place the body Body of Christ is a protected Place sir the body of Christ is a Victorious Place Lord the body of Christ has been tried tested and proven to be excellent in function it has been proven to be uh
Excellent and able to overcome even death Jesus killed death he put death to death in his own body body yes sir and then he took his body back from the grave held up the keys of death hell and the grave and said behold I am alive
Forever more sir he allowed his body to be beaten mocked ridiculed sped upon bruised yet by the power of God’s holy spirit Jesus was able to reclaim his own body he Liv lived in his body as a man he lived in his body to prove that we can defeat
Sin every Vice every hindrance that a man can experience Christ has felt it also so when it comes to Manning up and we seem that we’ve come to an impass we’ve come to a requirement in our life that’s just too hard remember remember that Christ has been touched in all areas such as
We and he was Victorious over every challenge therefore in his uh body he the the scripture records after he came back from the grave he remained in the earth 40 days so that by infallible proof it would get into the record it would get into the written record of Jesus’s
Life that he came back and reclaimed a body that had been dead brought back from the grave 40 days he was seen by various Witnesses what am I saying I’m saying that men in order for us to man up we need to get in the right
Location we need to get in a safe place place we need to get in a place that is approved and is allowed for you and me to be satisfactory located there oh yeah Jesus brought into existence what we call the Incarnation manifestation okay that is
God With Us he was very God and very man so I have a couple of points that I want to bring up this morning and I’m going to my seat therefore subtitle this morning’s message man up get in the right location yeah man up let us get in the right
Location we are the reflection of our environment and many people are not growing because they are are tied and tangled up because of bad choices that have them living their life in a bad location or bad locations plural they have chosen to be in the wrong
Places so the first place that I want us to locate as a safe place and a good location for us as men let us locate in the knowledge of the Son of God oh yeah let’s locate there let’s get into the knowledge of the Son of God the text
Tells us come into the knowledge of the Son of God and become as a perfect man that is a mature man unto the measure of the fullness of the Statue of Christ that is a good location move into that location through the knowledge of Christ that we might
Mature and become in the image of the fullness of Christ this knowledge is based upon Christ himself this knowledge is based upon a desire to obtain the fullness of Christ that is we have to grow in to this knowledge and this location where we receive this knowledge
Comes To Us by committing and studying the word of God we’re going to have to consecrate we’re going to have to meditate we’re going to have to spend some time in the word of God in prayer and consecration so that we will have the knowledge of the Son of God yes sir and
Therefore be able to grow and be mature and take on the fullness of Christ that is what the world needs to see from you and from me it is what our family needs to see from you and from me that we have the maturity of Christ dwelling in our
Lives and we must move away from the places the Hobbies the habits and the addictions that will keep us in a childlike State the text says to us that we might grow up into him and that we be no more children children are unstable children and childlike attitude
And behavior behavior requires that I have my way and I want to have my way regardless to what it might cost we want to locate and get a get away from childlike Behavior having come become mature and taking on the fullness of the stature of Christ we want to put aside childlike Behavior
Childlike behavior is driven by the flesh if it feels good to you it must be good for you many people live by that adage but that’s a very dangerous way to live amen we must come within the guidelines as P Dr Walker has said this morning where we stay within the confinement of
Obeying the Lord in everything that he’s asked us to do obedience is a spiritual principle and we’re going to have to be obedient to what God is calling us to do and stop acting like children now I know if you want to get in a fight tell a person
That called himself a man that he’s acting like a child you just set yourself up for a good fight for a good fisticuff but this morning from the scriptures we are challenged and we are called not to have childlike behavior in 2 Samuel chapter 11 is an example of a kind of childlike
Behavior from a king see this childlike Behavior can fall on any anybody amen nobody is exempt so long as we’re walking around in one of these Earth suits amen I used to hear the Saints testifying in church some of them who had uh gotten up in years pretty good
Were testifying about things that they no longer did say I don’t run around I don’t stay out all night and I don’t do that well somebody said you ain’t able no more oh and by the way before I go any further I do want to announce that I am a junior senior
Citizen I’m 69 and I’m doing fine and when it gets 70 I’m going to be Mighty 71 I’m going still have fun 72 I won’t be through 73 look at me 74 I’m going reach for more 75 very much alive 76 I want to be in the mix 77 oh thank heaven
78 my life will be great 79 give me more time 80 I’m going to live highly 81 I still won’t be done 82 lot more to do 83 come on with me junior senior citizen yes sir all [Applause] right this child oh yes and by the way I’m taking names and giving out
Memberships anyone that wants to join this childlike behavior is demonstrated by one of our great persons of the Bible in 2 Samuel 11 and verse one and it came to pass after the year was expired at the time when kings go forth to battle that David
Sent joab and his servants with him and all Israel and they destroyed the children of Ammon and besieged rabo but David tered at Jerusalem and it came to pass in the even time that David arose from his bed walked upon the roof of the King’s house
And from the W roof he saw a woman oh Jesus washing herself and the woman was very beautiful to look upon David sent he inquired after the woman and one said it is Beth Shea the daughter of Elum the wife of Uriah The Hite and David sent Messengers and took
Her and he came in unto her and lay with her for she was purified from her uncleanness and she returned to her house this is an example of childlike Behavior at the the time that the Kings went out to war David laid or tered behind and was on his rooftop looking
Over his kingdom and all that his eyes would survey and his eyes fell upon a beautiful soul sister and he began to desire her and sent for her and had her in his house we know as Paul Harvey used to say the rest of the story it is a series of degradation and
Cover up and lies and deceit to try to hide and try to undo what he had done from childlike Behavior yes sir men God wants us to grow up to the point that we don’t have to try to act on every situation of every pretty woman that we
See why can’t we grow up and see other women as sisters yes sir and that we are the protectors and we are the Defenders of other women when they are out of the presence of their husband it’s our job to protect them not try to hound them sir pound them get with
Them that’s childlike Behavior Jesus desires that we grow up into him to the full stature Measure of a Man not see how many notches I can get on my belt how many Conquest I can make amen that’s child like anybody can do that but it takes real fortitude and real inner strength
To hold yourself and let God keep your flesh under control that’s power yes sir real power is a man that can allow his flesh to be subdued power under control yes sir amen and if the Lord Jesus Christ blessed me to the 29th of this
Month I will have been a married man for 43 years to a beautiful young lady amen and I can say without a shadow of a doubt I can say without reservation I can say without hesitation I can say without consternation I have been faithful to Jean white and I’m proud of

Like like Joseph did get out of the way amen so that we might stay in the right location because we are going to do what we’re going to man up and move away from childish behavior amen and then church as we man up today and move to a
Location we want to move away from instability instability the text says that we grow up into him and that we be no more tossed by every wind of Doctrine and the slight of men cunning craftiness wherein they lie in weit to deceive we want to move to the location
Men where we are sure and we are very sure of who we are I’m afraid of people who every month every other month every six month they’re coming up with some new Fain dangle thing say child I finally found the truth and always trying out something
New we have to watch out for all of these new swirling twirling doctrines that are coming around it is like being on the sea as a piece of drift wood that is the image that the text is painting that if we are susceptible to different doctrines and different
Teachings and not really anchored we are susceptible men and women but we want to be in relationship with Jesus Christ in the fullness that he will give us so that allthough these new things will come along we won’t move off from our stand standing point of
Where we are in the Lord yes sir in other words we know that we know that we know yes sir amen somebody has made a statement and it’s a true statement that eternity is a long time to be wrong recently uh a couple years ago somebody introduced a was really not a
New teaching universalism it’s a heresy and it was reintroduced by a popular person saying that there is no hell and it was very influential to a lot of people who started to think differently and started to ignore what scripture plainly says amen church I’m going to remain in what I have been
Taught because eternity is a long time to be wrong yes sir I believe in the holy book and as the Scotsman said I believe it from ker to ker without any adjustments oh I know the Theology of things and the academic side of studying the Bible I know about strike overs and
I know about what we call corrupt scriptures and people who have studied those things and we ought to study them but listen The God Who made the universe and and The God Who made you and me he is smart enough oh yeah and he is wise enough to make sure that you and
I get what he intended through his word that he will breathe into us the essence of his word so that we will have peace and not be tossed about with every wind of Doctrine yes sir this expression in the scripture slight of men and cunning craftiness it comes from the Greek word
Word kobia which means dice throwing rolling the dice that is that there are persons who will offer something to you and if that doesn’t work they’ll roll the dice again and try something else say well I didn’t get him on that lie I didn’t get her on that lie
I didn’t get him on that deception I’m going to keep on rolling the dice until I find something that works yes sir we don’t need to be in that state we need to be anchored in Jesus and Jesus alone and ensure that I’m going to stay right
There until he comes so as I go to my seat today men we want to man up in our maturity bringing our flesh under subjection amen amen and we want to man up in the knowledge of Christ that he will give us as we walk with him and as we talk with him
And we want to man up to the point that we are not changing every month changing every week susceptible to every swirling wind and teaching that’s out there I’m not in that equation I’m in Jesus yes sir somebody say you sound like you’re running for something yes I am I’ve been running for
Jesus for a long time and I’m not tired yet I’m running because he changed my life I’m running because he saved me yes sir I’m running because one day coming through a junkyard come on now I prayed to the Lord I said I’m tired of the life
I’m living yes sir I want you to change me what my pastor has been preaching about I want to know it for myself I know what the motherboard say and I know what the de board say but what does Lawrence Rico white say I realized that

Shallow comes pray until Joy comes pray until the Holy Ghost comes yes yes you’ll be changed you’ll be different you believe Hallelujah we can grow up today Church into him yes sir into the full measure of the stature of Christ no longer tossed to and fro by

Yesterday I was blessed by the panel discussion and reever Lenor reminded the young man of a passage of scripture in Corinthians that said when I was a child I spoke like a child when I became a man I put away childish things and in keeping with that we thank God for the
Word that was heard on today and if you’re ready to put away childish things if you’re ready to seize and accept accept the gift of Salvation that comes through Jesus our lord and our Christ all you got to do is come forth give me your hand and give God your heart some
People think that when I get this together when I get that together and I’ll give my life to Jesus look if you could have got it together you would have come you you would have done a long time ago yes sir but this is a place
That you come and let him make you what he would have you be oh yeah if any man if any woman be in Christ he or she is a new creature old things are passed away and behold all things are new in Christ if you’re here and if you were touched

Pastor and his heart for this city and the spirit of violence that is broken out throughout our country we pray oh God that you will indeed attack and destroy that mean spirit and allow us to be the agents of change to uh be invested and reinvested again with your
Power that whatever the devil is trying to do you will place us to be the Agent of Change and to bring about peace of God and indeed the kingdom of God so we Rejoice today go out from this place rejoicing having been made better and telling the good news of what Jesus is
