Another and know um there is a great book by a man named Curtis mark Mar who is the founder of the fellowship of Catholic University students and it is called making missionary disciples which we’re all called to be okay that’s jesus’ last commandment go and make disciples right he says we need three
Ingredients to be missionary disciples Divine intimacy we must have a strong relationship with our Lord and maker number two authentic friendship and I’d say authentic friendship without an agenda love that yeah again that’s not me that’s Curtis Curtis wrote wrote that and the third thing is Clarity and conviction for Spiritual multiplication
And if if you haven’t read the book any listener get the book it is and it’s great for guys it’s only 80 Pages no it’s 60 pages long I think that’s a joke fellas hang in there it’s a great great book I I have read that five or six
Times I think I’ve highlighted just about every line in the book but what what I really really have been thinking a lot lately about is authentic friendship yeah that’s how we’re drawn to into our CR you just mentioned Christ renews his Parish yep you you really
Grew in your Christian faith as a result of creating those authentic friendships there and I think we can all point to that when I think that when you have authentic friendship without an agenda and Christ renews his parish is a great example I me you kind of just bear it
All right when you get in there you start to realize everybody around you is going through hard things even the ones who have it kind of made you know financially or business-wise or fill in the blank or just look like they have it put together exactly right yeah and
That’s what it really ends up being we kind of all are struggling with the same stuff or versions of the same stuff are overlapping and then you realize like oh I can go through this in solidarity with my brother I can pray with and for my brother as we’re going through this and
Then I also don’t have to live in this weird shame that I’ve made mistakes or that my life isn’t as perfect as yours you know like it kind of brings us all to this place of being Brothers amen yeah what is well there’s a lot to that

Wingman slays dragons and so today is the end of our 40-day journey that the three of us took on with Exodus uh as kind of a a personal but also a communal Journey right that’s prayer aestheticism and fraternity so we thought it would be cool for our TBD the Beatitudes question
Of the day and you can have this it’s your own sticker oh my God big time so uh he does he doesn’t have 25 pairs of that in his not yet right but uh we thought it would be neat to just ask the question like how and even if it wasn’t
Something you intentionally focused on the last 40 days a reflection on what is life teaching you and how did St Michael’s lint or if you weren’t participating like how is the last 40 days of your life kind of transformed or taught you something and I would just
Turn to the guys if either one of you wants to go first yeah I can jump in there was actually a reflection um now so I’ll I’ll admit I didn’t always hit every reflection every day nope nope so thankfully they were only seven or eight minutes usually so if I did have some
Time I could catch up and go through two or three of them sometimes at a time and but one of them that I listened to recently which I think was from like a week ago but um it was about uh they were talking about Jacob’s Ladder and
How Jacob had this Vision while he was in the in the in a dream and um and I think he was leaving his homeland I forget the full story at that particular moment but that he sees the Angels ascending and descending on the ladder
And um and just the idea in as part of that reflection is how involved the Angels actually are in our lives all the time and we just don’t see it and and I Think It’s Tricky and difficult and and I’m speaking from personal experience here as well where we’re so used to our
Technology and our tools and everything that the the physical things that are in front of us that it’s really easy sometimes for me just to forget that oh yeah you know that there’s we have a guardian angel or we have you know I mean the the Angels themselves are busy
And active and and doing things to serve us because God loves us and wants us to be helped along on the road to Salvation it’s just it’s been a really helpful reflection yeah uh for me uh I’d never heard of St Michael’s lent uh it was awesome
It was just each day I think better than the last for me um in my own faith in my friendship in the fraternity that we had with them in at St an’s um in our business like things just seem to keep unlocking unfolding like you know that prayer of
Like light the way show me where you want me to be and go and do like just kind of became clearer and more obvious and is just that additional time in prayer every day like I always want to pray 30 minutes in the morning I was
Doing it and it was my life was different as a result so really cool and I I actually talked to Father uh father Ken who we had on the show back like episode 13 or something like that 17 and you know his point to me was uh prayer
Is a Time multiplier so it’s one of those things where I don’t have time cool that means you need to do like twice as much do it more so very very profound profound yeah it was an awesome 40 days it’s been interesting I feel connected to y’all even when we’re not
Talking about it because I know we’re going through it at the same time together in our fraternity so what about you Dan and what’s the last 40 days been like what’s God teaching you what’s St Michael teaching you a few things and they say two words and they really just came they they
Jumped out at me the other day I mentioned we had this this online event the gospel of work for on the heroic men Summit and we had men from all over the world join us and one of the men I told Paul about this a little bit earlier one
Of the men is from Nigeria and he’s actually an Evangelical Christian a pastor and uh he is feeling drawn to the Catholic church and um I was I I have one of one of the speakers he said he really resonated with one of the speakers uh Jeff joim Quinn and uh I
Said I I connected with him over WhatsApp and uh said w we see if we can get a phone call with him and Jeff was like right on I’m I’m in and um it really struck me and really this is Jeff uh Jeff is very vulnerable but he also
Makes himself available so those two words um really really jumped out at me and culminated with that that interaction and I was very inspired by Jeff and how he made himself so available to be there for this man that’s beautiful uh so M and I kind of
Went into this very like excited because I’ve always wanted to actually care about guardian angels to pray the St Michael prayer often and not just when I’m kind of mumbling through it so it was a big opener and I’d already started Deliverance prayers and prayers for
Protection so it was like a really cool beginning there’s a thing called uh auxilium Christian norum that I was praying every day and what I didn’t see coming was uh how battle tested I would end up being and So for anybody watching this on YouTube or for Dan you know I
Was an hour late for this recording uh on Monday my four-year-old who is a medical miracle uh really a spiritual Miracle got hospitalized again it’s his fifth time in 13 months and uh I’ve spent the last four nights sleeping in a hospital chair um so I’m wearing a

Hospital last night so my wife and I instead of juggling at home now we’re juggling at the hospital both of us in different parts both with kids that are having respiratory issues from virus I have a whole team of people back home and my mother-in-law came in this
Morning um it was really fascinating I didn’t go to bed until after midnight last night and again that same Hospital chair my wife and I were able to switch which rooms we were in I had been praying because I missed my one-year-old I haven’t seen her much lately I haven’t
Felt connected to her well I spent seven hours holding her yesterday yeah and uh God answered that prayer in a pretty interesting way there’s some connection yeah um and I’m overwhelmed but it’s not like a sadness or a woe as me I’m truly overwhelmed by like this crazy amount of
Love that can only come from the joy of Christ and I say this in all sincerity like it would be so easy to complain or to fall into some typical trap like there’s answers I don’t even know how to answer some of the puzzles that are in
Front of me for the next 48 to 72 hours I’m actually the keynote speaker at a black tie event tonight oh goodness I’m also the honorary chair so I can’t not show up this thing so we’re good I have a tuxedo in the van uh I I will still smell Paul

Life two weeks ago and the other two were breathing issues so I’m talking N9 visits five hospitalizations Ambrose is like the poster child for you better stay super close to God no you need to do it with everybody and everything yeah but he’s like my sweet little yells at
Me for two hours that he wants mama in the in the hospital and then as soon as I leave he’ll yell I want Daddy um but it’s the reminder you know we don’t all need to have an Ambrose to remember that because I have that with
