Up but today we’re going to be talking about a much needed topic I get this question a lot when I say a lot I mean a lot like I get this question so much but today we’re going to be talking about when is the best time for you to get

It’s part about in 2013 and come this year this man test me like yo what’s your address I was like this is weird but you know he write books and stuff so I was like maybe trying to send me a book or something I was like boom boom
Boom gave my address about a week later a package show up to my doorstep it was this right here for John he remembered all that time that’s the elbe for you right there okay so the best time for you to participate in the intake process get online signatures all that good
Stuff is when the opportunity presents itself that’s when you need to do it like a lot of people miss out on these opportunities because they’re trying to be perfect they’re trying to be like oh I need this GPA oh I need this amount of community service hours oh I need to be
In this amount of organizations oh I don’t feel like I’m a hundred percent ready like a lot of people go through this and if they missed their opportunity because I guarantee you there’s not gonna be people that’s a hundred percent ready that get put on line if you wait to you a hundred
Percent ready before you go to an interest meeting you will never ever join that organization because nobody can be a hundred percent ready whenever you go to interest meeting you’re gonna feel nervous you’re gonna feel like you’re not ready you’re gonna feel underprepared you’re gonna feel like you
Don’t belong but you got to put in your mind like a I’m gonna feel these feelings I really want to do this you know I say that’s the key thing you if you really want to do it you go no matter what the opportunity is heck if you know for sure
For sure that it’s the organization you want to join fraternities or sororities and you’re a freshman and they have an interest meeting go but keep your expectations low like never go to interest meeting with your head high like yeah I did this I did that I did

Knew I wasn’t the biggest leader on campus I knew I was didn’t have the best GPA but if I were wait for all those things lined up I would have missed out on that opportunity and that’s the main thing I want y’all to take away from
This video I don’t want y’all to be like oh I’m not ready i’ma go anyway you still need to have some community service hours you still need to have some and you know other organization involvement you still have to have a decent GPA or at least the minimum GPA
If you don’t meet the minimum GPA don’t go at all a lot of people messing me on Instagram and snapchat be like yo Cory the organization minimum GPA is a 2.7 I got a 3.5 do you think that’s good enough if you have over the minimum GPA
Then it’s good enough to be considered I can’t tell you if it’s good enough for you to get in but it’s good enough for you to be considered you know I’m saying so if you’re good enough to be considered why not shoot your shot bro
And sis why not why not shoot your shot if you got the minimum GPA or higher you got some community service hours you’re involved a little bit on campus Oh shot even if they reject you at least you can go off something and build off something then at that point you will
Know what you have to work on but if you never go to the interest meeting and you never get rejected you wouldn’t know what you have to work on so you’re gonna keep saying oh I need to get this higher GPA oh I need to get some more community
Service hours when typically you might not need to do that because you’ve never been to an interest meeting and got denied or reject me so you don’t know so you need to go even if you’re not 100% we do want you to be confident in
Yourself we do want you to be aware of who you are you know I’m saying but you don’t have to be a hunted you’d be eighty percent UV 70 percent loans you’re not 20 percent 30 percent then you find but if you know this is what you want to do and you’re stopping
Yourself from going to the interest meeting because of all these factors that you have in your head then you just prolong your process to become member do not compare yourself to others you might know other people that might be interested in the same organization as you and you might be like never know
Because MPAC organizations look for different things all the time we understand that people aren’t perfect it’s gonna be people had an interest meeting that are good people but they didn’t have a chance to get leadership experience or good people they didn’t have the chance to get a 3.8 GPA but
They meet minimum they could have had a death in the family they could have had this going on and this going hard and that affected their GPA like it’s all kind of different factors that go on with different types of scenarios people might not have a bunch of community service hours because they
Might have had an internship they might be involved in so many organizations they don’t have time to put in work for community service like it’s all kind of different factors that we have to put in our head so it’s not always you have to have all of this stuff to get online
Or participate in an intake process it doesn’t mean all that I don’t want y’all to be discouraged I won’t try to shoot your shot and that’s the purpose of these videos is to make you confident it’s not that soli helped you get into the organization is to make you
Confident and figure out who you are do the research and then approach it the correct way you know I’m saying shoot your shot take that risk be vulnerable because it’s gonna happen you have to be vulnerable in this whole process and if you’re not vulnerable then it’s not gonna be easy for you
Because you’re not able to put yourself out if you’re able to put yourself out there you’re gonna go to interest me you gonna shoot you you’re gonna shoot your shot like you Steph Curry bah bah not like JR Smith that man caught the rebound ran back towards the half-court
