What’s up everybody it’s your boy Cory and today I got another video for you all as you know every single Tuesday I’m dropping videos to help you get into the MPAC organization of your choice but today I’m gonna be talking to you about different ways you can figure out if an
Org is really for you like how to figure out if this organization you’re interested in is really something used to pursue or how to figure out if you can see yourself in that organization because these are important things you really need to figure out who will be a
Part of this organization or the rest of your life so it’s good to figure that stuff out so I’m gonna explain some tips that I went through and I always tell people whenever they asked me this question so make sure you hit that like button share and subscribe you know
We’re trying to get a 10k 10k by the end of this year we almost that 5k maybe by now we’ll be at 5k I don’t know but we’re almost at 5k if we’re not there already and then at the end of the year I just want to celebrate 10k so make
Sure you share with your friends share with your family mom your dad anybody that’s Greek non-greek that too no interested share share share because you all will help me get there and y’all are real MVP so I know y’all are out there doing it for me I’m helping you
Also help me out too Okay so the first way to figure this out they really figure out if an organ is for you is to go to the National website read read read when I say read I don’t mean just skim read word from words see exactly what this organization is about study the principles figure out why
Those aren’t the principles of that organization I need a model like study all that information because that’s gonna make you feel like okay I wanna join this organization because of X Y Z not because my friend did it not because you know I got mom’s dad’s sister brothers in these organizations because
I did my research is this because I read up on it and it’s something that I can see myself in because these XYZ items because a lot of people go to join organization they don’t know too much about it they just know the general information or they just know you know
That their cousin did it or their friend is interested in it so now they’re interested in it but they didn’t do that deep research that they need but make sure you go to that national website and we we’d we’d read word from word because if you don’t really gonna put you back
You know the more you read and if you happen to get into that organization the easier it will be for you during the intake process now number two you want to study the chapter study the chapter cuz you might be interested in this organization and then on your campus
This chapter isn’t what you see the organization as and when that happens it makes you confuse just like well I like the organization that’s a whole but I don’t really like the chapter well I like this chapter on campus but I really don’t like the organization as a whole
You know you might be on the campus right now and it’s a chapter of this organization that’s just killing it killing it on the yard community service always hosting events got bomb behind parties all the good stuff very social good cool to you all this right here and
You love that and you love it but that’s not to a first-choice organization and just like down the line like second choice you didn’t see yourself in it but you like what the chapter is doing in you and this really make you want to be a part of that organization but you have
This one organization in mind but the organization you have in mind the chapter it’s like like they’re not doing nothing on campus they don’t do community service they barely host events they’re not approachable you like to order but you don’t like chapter so now you in this little limbo like what
What do you do in that situation a lot of people face these struggles it’s hard to have the best blend of both trust me I know how do you figure out which one you should gravitate towards like I will always say if you really like the national organization like if you like
The organization as a whole but the chapter isn’t just there you have two options you can join that chapter and make it better and make it for what you think the organization to be or at least attempt to make them better anytime there’s a chapter struggling like I keep
I keep hitting this thing y’all like any time it’s a chapter on campus and they’re struggling and you think that you can get into the organization to help them get out the struggle that’s always good like if you can help them and help them get them to where you want
Them to be and help make them prominent on campus why not join why not put in the extra work once you get in everything doesn’t always have the red carpet that you can just walk on as soon as you join so I would say join and then
Get a part of the second board committees to make some decisions those organizations that struggling need those type of members to come in and help out if you really like the organization eight just go for it for a scenario number two what if you don’t like the
Organization as much as a whole it’s not your first choice but you like the chapter like the chapters doing bomb things and you want to join chapter but you don’t really like the organization like that but you guys think about it like this you’re going to be in that organization as a whole
Forever but you graduate technically you’re still a part I chapter but you move away from that chapter into graduate champions now I’m saying so that organization as a whole is something you need to really be committed to now I’m not saying just because you like the chapter but don’t
Really like the organization’s as much I don’t mean you shouldn’t join but you just gotta out wait you gotta wait what’s most important you is your district college experience is more important to you or you thinking about your college experience and once you graduate and you know getting
Involved in the fraternity outside of an undergraduate experience like you gotta think of all that stuff so it is very very hard so those are some things you need to kind of consider with the chapter I know that part was kind of long but I’m trying to help y’all
Nothing now number three now you will figure out if it organs for you if you’re constantly thinking about it like if you’re constantly thinking about this organization constantly researching you’re constantly on YouTube looking up steps to strolls for this organization you’re constantly looking at my videos
To help you best prepare yourself to get into that organization like I’m telling you like when you have those feelings and you constantly see yourself going above and beyond to learn more more you do research the more you get that urge to want to get more knowledge whenever I
Was interested 5-bit of Sigma yes I was on YouTube I was everywhere searching like different things because I was so interested in learning and figuring out if this was actually for me in the or that you research the most and that’s the organization that’s probably for you
And woo and you’re gravitating more to that organization so don’t ignore it don’t ignore it even if there’s something’s the opposite of what your parents did or what your friends doing don’t ignore cuz a lot of people mess up when they ignore those feelings because their friends is doing something
Different but go with your gut and go with what you’re currently looking up the most like go it did like don’t let nobody that’s it hey don’t do that because though they whack I mean they might not be whack to you and that’s I’m still hitting this guy
Bang bang my number fourth reason to figure out if 4 org is really for you is the color I know this sounds so small and so petty but it’s the colors man like if you can’t see yourself in the colors that a tank you can’t see yourself from
Brown and gold a tank for you you can’t see yourself in purple and gold a tank for you if you can’t see yourself in crimson and cream it ain’t for you if you can’t see yourself and thinking I just keep hitting this thing y’all like
Why is this thing on this try pot for me to keep hitting and Eddy faint like I’m proud of this thing I just want to chop this off y’all you got to see yourself in the color fight you got to imagine yourself in those colors for the rest of
Your life not just during undergrad not just during you know your first few years I graduate but for the rest of your life you’re going to be associated with those colors like you got think about like this when you wear the colors is gonna be a representation of you so
If you can’t see yourself in those colors then that organization is not for you you got to make sure you can get down with the coat you can’t get down with the colors but don’t even do research on organization cuz you’re gonna be around at colors all damn time
