Job secondary job if you got one job now you got two jobs you’re doing a group organization returnees Rory you join it you’ve got a second job because the thing is people don’t realize how much work goes into these Greek organizations until they asked to get into it not
Going to think the work is joining and going through the progress going through brush but now the real work happens when you get into the organization because now you got to uphold you got to uphold of the organization you gotta put in work to keep the organization growing
Keep the chapters moving on campus by essays worth community service we’re doing community service we can tweak out every other Saturday Moe sightings somebody doing community service somewhere gotta get your community service hours in like this is something that you’re going to be working you’re going to be busy on
Saturdays you’re going to be busy on a weekend we got to prepare forms you got to prepare for tailgates you got to prepare if you have a party that shows like it’s always something to do so if you’re the type of person that you know like to have a lot of time to
Yourself a Greek organization might not be for you they might not be for you because a lot of times going to fit with the fraternity members of returning your fraternity brother is a sorority so there’s a lot of times going to be built with them so about it’s not going to be
Much meantime it’s not it’s not going to be that much new time if you used to meet time it might be me telling me to go to sleep and when you go to class but after that it’s roaring kind of eternity comp is always going to be work to be
Put it even if you don’t have executive position it’s going to be worth worth worth worth working that’s all I got to say how you say worth its next tribe outdoor travel travel under tripod or ah but it’s gonna be like just know it some other things
That you might not know is Greek life Greek organizations are very selective just because you meet the minimum requirements does not mean you are guaranteed a spot it’s very very very selective just because you meet the minimum requirement do not mean you’re guaranteed I had to say the second time
Because this process is not like a club the colonel all you have to asana boom boom this yes that meet the organizational requirements we have to be the type of person they’re looking for you know every line is constructed differently they might be looking for more people that’s more business they might be
Looking for more people that social they might be looking for a blend they’re trying to construct a line that will help the chapter an organization grow so even though you meet minimum requirements we have to have those characteristics that you’re looking for for that line I’m just saying because
It’s a business they have to operate they have to keep going you can’t keep going you got the same type of members your whole chapter is business then you’re like all social side if your holes have that social then you’re like own the business that have
To be a great blend and balance so construction that line is very very hard and will be selective and thinking about you all that one two sororities you got that body a lot of these awardees have over a hundred plus girls at their IDs
50 plus 60 at their ID they have so many girls to choose from so if you meet just the minimum requirements you got to bring other stuff to the table you got a shoulder – able to work together so that you can do business your soaps are you doing all kinds of
Things on campus you’re a leader you got to be well-rounded for real same with returnees we don’t get as many people interest at ideas absolute you know sororities have a huge mental girl about it but it’s more girls in college than god anyway and then we talk about black
Greek organizations is more black women in college than black guys so our numbers are slim we’ll be halfway thirty interests out of 50 interest but these girls we have a 50-plus sometimes so it’s hard it is hard and it’s more selective so you got to come with a lot
Of stuff on the table you just can’t meet the minimal requirements just want to put that out there another thing that y’all may not know about halation you have to keep your GPA up once you get into the organization a lot of people think wants to get into the
Organization they met the two points says the 3.0 to get in now they do it no the chapter have a certain GPA you have to maintain is with some GPAs are the same as the national headquarters GPA it might be a 2.75 of the chapters a day
Should be a 2.75 but some chapters like to take it up there you know some chapters like the Chi hot so the organization GPA might be a 2.75 but the maintain your status as a chapter member it might be a 2.8 3.0 you never know so if you fall under the GPA requirement
Then you will be on chapter suspension meaning you can stroll you can’t step you can’t go to social events you just have to either go to community service and focus on your studies simple as that main thing is we don’t want to hinder you from graduating our main purpose is
To help you reach your goals in life we want to make sure you graduate want to make sure we’ve given you the experience that you need to level up in life that’s my you got a level the keep levels up if you’re not level enough while you’re in
A fraternity then is not doing just so we want to make sure you’re leveling up and making sure you’re graduating and if you don’t meet that GPA we got to cut some things back make sure you out there’s 30 and a half time and study
Into things like that so a lot of people don’t realize that we do have GPAs that you have to meet to stay active in a chapter or you’ll be honest emphasis mention another thing people do not know a lot of people think fraternities and sororities have funding coming from the
National hit know everything that the fraternity the order sorority the chapter that they go party that they host an event that cost money hormone socials all that is coming from the organization the chapter itself come from Nationals Nationals does not cut any organizations checks to host these events all these event is coming
From dues that been paid through new members coming in it’s coming from fundraising things like that carwash is like that’s why CD fraternity the sororities north carwash is hosting the events that cost money charging for pro base because they need money to help fund the events that they’re trying to
Do they’re trying to host a party they need money and it’s not coming from nationals it’s not coming from you know members aren’t given a thousand dollars off their pocket they have to call with the money themselves to host a bit so like I said it’s a lot of work it’s a
Physic so every time you go to a fraternity party sorority party or event that cost money like a formal something like that or social or mixed or something like that it costs money and think about it had to pay for the catering they had to pay for the
Lighting they had to pay for the venue they had to pay for all decorations all out of fund rate that’s a business like its legit a business all this money don’t grow on trees they have to come up with themselves so think about it it’s a lot of work to
Come up with money to host events for the campus for the community to help out so these organizations aren’t just doing this stuff just to do it they’re doing it to come up with money and then fastest way to come up with money at hosting a party complicated yeah they
Like the party there are throughout five six seven ten dollars to come to a party boom there you go so just imagine the minds that you have to have to come up with fundraisers come up with innovative ideas that make money as a chapters so of course whenever these organizations
Are looking for members they look at the Millers we’ll come up with innovative ideas that help fund the chapter to help the chapter grow light like I said that’s what’s the letter because this is not something that you just need to join because they I just want to where the
