Hello friends. Today in this video I am going to be telling the story of the 2019 horror thriller film Black Christmas. Black Christmas is a loose remake of the 1974 film of the same name, but in this one the group of sorority sisters at Hawthorne College are preyed upon by an unknown stalker.
They must work together to figure out who is taking them out one by one before it’s too late and they are all dead. Want to find out if the sorority can solve the mystery and hopefully not have too much loss of life?
Stick around to find out because spoilers ahead, watch out and take care. The movie begins inside a sorority house at Hawthorne College and all of the girls are getting ready to share their secret Santa gifts with each other.
One girl, Lindsay, is just leaving the library and she phones her sisters to tell them that she’s not going to be able to make the party because she has to head home to her parents’ house for the weekend before the blizzard hits.
After she gets off the phone, she starts getting weird messages from an unknown number that make her feel uncomfortable and then someone in a black hood shows up in front of her and stalks her around the neighborhood where they eventually kill her with an icicle through the heart.
Next we meet our main protagonist; Riley, waking up in the same sorority house from earlier and we get to see her usual morning. Typical college girl stuff getting ready to go to class, but also have to get the morning gossip in too.
We get to meet one of her best friends in the sorority, Jesse, who picked out Riley a dress to wear to a holiday dinner they all plan to attend. Riley heads to her first class of the day and it is taught by Professor Gelson.
Gelson and Riley do not typically get along because Riley thinks of him as a misogynist and she has actually started a petition to get him fired from his job and he doesn’t take too kind to it.
He still tries to be polite with her and reason with her, but she has already made her decision on him and I don’t think that’s changing any time soon. After class, we meet two of Riley’s other besties, Kris and Marty, and they are talking
About how crazy the party is going to be that they are going to tonight to celebrate the end of the semester. They also mention how they think Professor Gelson is in to witchcraft, but they just look at it like it’s a joke and he’s an odd ball.
We also find out that Riley was assaulted by a young frat boy by the name of Brian Huntley, and she is still dealing with PTSD from the encounter. The founder’s fraternity on campus that goes by the name of DKO is throwing a winter
Talent show for the campus and Riley’s sorority is entering it as a dance routine. As they are getting ready, Riley is walking around the house and she finds a hazing ritual taking place where the pledges of DKO are being inducted into the fraternity and
She finds it really weird and odd as she thought it went much different. The dance routine comes and Riley is nervous at first, but once she gets comfortable on stage, it goes smoothly and they sing a rendition of up on the housetop with a connotation that
Frat boys need to stop assaulting women when they are drunk. Brian Huntley is also in the room and Riley stares at him the whole time pretty much insinuating what he did to her was assault and wasn’t consensual and it makes him feel uncomfortable.
As they are leaving the DKO house, a boy named Landon comes outside to tell Riley that he really liked her dance routine and we can tell he is crushing hard on her and she may feel the same way.
As the girls and Landon are walking back across campus, Helena is at the sorority house packing up her clothes to head home and then the hooded assailant shows up behind her presumably snatching her up. The next day comes and no one realizes that Helena is missing and they are getting set
To go Christmas tree shopping with all of them plus Marty’s boyfriend, Nate, who is pretty much one of the girls. Whenever they leave, another sister named Frannie is back at the house and she is then captured by the hooded figure as well.
Whoever it is, is just sweeping up sorority girls left and right like it’s their job. As they are Christmas tree shopping, Riley gets a text from a strange number and she has no idea who it is and looks very puzzled.
She then gets a call from Helena’s mother asking her if she has seen Helena and Riley tells her she thought she already made it home, but we know that wasn’t the case. As soon as they get back to the house, Riley searches everywhere for Helena, but no signs of her anywhere.
Riley feels like something is wrong so she heads off to campus and we can see Frannie is dead on a balcony above her. Riley heads off to the campus police station to report Helena missing, but the man behind
The desk just thinks it is winter break and she went home even though Riley tells him that is not the case. Riley also tells him she has been getting weird direct messages from a Hawthorne social media account and they are sending creepy things to her, but he doesn’t know what
To tell her as they haven’t done anything illegal. He tells Riley to wait another day for Helena and if she isn’t back by the next day, to fill out the missing person’s report as it would be 48 hours by then.
Riley takes it upon herself to go creep at the DKO house and see if she can find any trace of Helena and as she is looking around outside, Professor Gelson comes up behind her and asks her what she is doing.
Apparently, Gelson is the head of the DKO fraternity chapter and oversees all things related with the fraternity since it is the founder’s frat on campus. Riley is sort of sketched out by him due to the petition and everything so she just immediately leaves and he looks at her confused.
Riley heads back to the house and she finds out that Kris posted the dance routine on YouTube pretty much calling out the fraternity for assaulting girls and now it is receiving a bunch of backlash and that is who she thinks is sending her all of the weird messages and
Trying to get back at them for what they did. Marty tells Riley that she has been receiving the messages too from a Hawthorne account so it is obviously directed at the girls that did the dance routine at the talent show.
Jesse heads downstairs to look for the Christmas lights to put on the tree and she is met by the killer downstairs as well, but no one can hear her. The girls all get in a fight in the kitchen because Riley is mad at Kris for posting the
Video and Kris tells her it is what they deserve, but Riley doesn’t want the attention all on them and it is just making it worse. Pretty much Kris wants the smoke and backlash from the video and Riley just wants to move
On with her life because she was the one that was actually assaulted, not Kris. Even Marty’s boyfriend Nate starts arguing with them telling them that not all guys are bad people and you can’t just lump them all in together.
Marty is mad that he is raising his voice and she kicks him out of the house. As soon as he leaves, they all get a text message telling them that they will be brought to their knees and then the masked assailant pops out of the closet and starts shooting arrows at them.
One of them hits Marty, but doesn’t kill her and they are able to pop in another room and shut the door. Riley and Kris sneak out and see if they can go grab their phones downstairs and then Kris walks in to a room to see Jesse dead with an axe through her face.
Nate then walks back inside to apologize to them and Riley tells him there is an intruder and whenever Nate yells to show their face, he is immediately shot with an arrow. What a lame knight in shining armor Nate was.
Riley gets into a physical altercation with the masked man and as he is lying on top of her, she grabs a set of keys next to her and stabs him in the neck. Kris and Marty run in the room and as Riley is about to unmask him, another hooded masked
Figure walks in the room and stabs Marty in the stomach and all Riley and Kris can do is run and hide. They then double team the killer and are able to take this one down as well.
Riley and Kris unmask one of the killers on the ground and it turns out to be a DKO pledge that she saw earlier when she was walking around, but something is off about them because they aren’t bleeding blood, but they are bleeding some black substance.
They then race out to the car and speed off before anymore killers can catch them and shoot at them. As the girls are speeding away, they come up with the theory that DKO are doing some black magic wizardry and are possessing all of the pledges and taking over their bodies.
Kris doesn’t believe that to be true, but Riley is sure of it and tells her to pull over and she will go take them down by herself because Kris is too scared to go and try.
As Riley is walking over there, she runs in to Landon who wants to help her out with whatever she is trying to accomplish. The power of love. They get to the DKO house and Landon goes in first to distract all of the guys so Riley
Can sneak in the back way and make her way into the same pledging room from earlier. When she gets in there, no one else is so to be seen, but then she hears Helena’s voice and when she goes to talk to her, Helena smiles while distracting her so someone else
Can come in behind her and knock Riley out. Helena gotta be under some kind of trance I would hope. Riley wakes up tied to a chair and she is in the pledging room and then she sees Professor Gelson in a hood and he delivers the largest exposition dump possible.
Basically, they found some magical black slime that came out of the bust of the college’s founder and it is magical and can make an army out of men after possessing them. He is building an army of these young possessed men so they can take over the world in a political and social standpoint.
He also delivers Riley the news that Helena had been working with them the whole time and stabbing them in the back while pretending to be their sister. Helena was the inside woman. Then walks in the famous Brian Huntley and he tells Riley that she can be a part of their
Fraternity and work with them and not have to die like all of her friends did. Then walks the main masked killer and as Brian is waiting for an answer, the man walks over to Helena and snaps her neck like a twig. Looks like being a traitor didn’t work out for her after all.
Darn. Riley thinking all she has left is to agree with them says she will bow and be with them. As she is about to bow, she grabs a fork and slices Brian’s face open and this angers
Him and he grabs her and about to kill her whenever Kris comes in to the rescue with her and a bunch of other sorority girls ready to clean house. A huge brawl breaks out between all of the sorority girls and the fraternity boys and Riley finally getting her revenge on the nasty pig.
After she beats Brian’s ass, she goes to grab the magical bust and she throws it on the ground which causes all of the possessed people to turn back to their normal selves. The girls set the house on fire and run out of it hoping for all of the bad people to
Burn to their end and luckily, Landon makes it out as well. That is how the story ends. Thanks for watching friends!
