Savior we thank you for being holy and set apart now Lord we thank you for your mercy your kindness and your grace we thank you for sending your son to save us Lord God and most of all we just thank you for being Lord of all you are
Our King and Lord we just worship you tonight and even though it was a push tonight Lord open our hearts give us wisdom and knowledge and give us patience Lord God to hear from you and we pray for the man of God tonight we pray Lord God that you continue Lord God

Encourage the people cuz we are at the end of the year um another year is about to be in the books um and a lot of us have not seen what we’ve declared at the beginning of 2023 and um he wanted me to encourage the people um and um this past Sunday
Just let have a little dialogue um let’s just we going to warm ourselves up all right all right let’s let’s let’s let’s just crank up the juices um would you take away from Sunday who was here Sunday first of all let’s see who was here show her hands all right say it
Again life amen I have a word spoken over my life anybody else brother Rob God bless you my hand up the words spoken over my life can’t be hindered by man that that’s what I I I got out of this the word that God spoken for me was
For me and I’m gonna walk into it and nothing can stop that’s good awesome anybody else before we move forward it is a process my God who you who you see today is not who you’ll see tomorrow that’s that’s one for me and uh one takeaway um
That was that I felt was for me in the sermon was you know just because God is silent doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen um and a lot of us we’re still working in silence and I just want to encourage you to keep working even though you’re not hearing anything just
Remember the last thing God told you and work from there amen um we’re going to continue in our our um stud study of uh the book of Peter um just it’s the title is called living for God and we’re going to go to 1 Peter chapter
4 um if we can all turn there we’re going to read the it’s only 19 verses so we’ll figure we’ll just read the entire the entire uh book and um I need readers we’ll break it up half and half somebody read the first 10 verses and
Then somebody I’m going to read the last nine who’s going to be my readers tonight all right I got one all right I need one more all right sister Jan you’ll read the last uh nine verses all right so you’ll read 1 Peter 41-10 and then uh Jana you’ll read uh 11
Through 19 does it does it matter which uh transl NIV would be great 1 Peter chapter 4 therefore since Christ suffered in his body arm yourselves also with the same attitude because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin as a result they do not live the rest of their life their
Earthly lives for evil human desires but rather for the will of God for you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do living in debacher lust drunkenness orgies cusing and detestable adultery they are surprised that Jud do not join them in their Reckless wild
Living and they Heap abuse on you but they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead for this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard
To the body but live according to God in regard to the spirit the end of all things is near therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you might pray above all love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins offer Hospitality to one another
Without grumbling each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its V various forms all Right if anyone speaks they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God if anyone serves they should do so with the strength God provides so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ to him be the glory and the power
Forever and ever amen dear friends do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you as though something strange were happening to you but rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ so that you may be overjoyed when his
Glory is revealed if you are insulted because of the name of Christ you are blessed for the spirit of glory and of God rest on you if you suffer it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal or even as a
Meddler however if you suffer as a Christian do not be ashamed but praise God that you bear that name for it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household and if it begins with us what will the outcome be for those who do not
Obey the gospel of God and if it is hard for the righteous to be saved what will become of the ungodly and The Sinner so then those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good all right man this is Peter is this is
Man Peter’s writing very well um tonight’s topic is living for God living for God let’s come on over living for God all right living for God last week we talked about sharing like our Salvation story we we sh shared we shared our Salvation stories and just okay we talked about our Salvation stories Amen I love being saved how about you amen I love the Lord if loving the Lord is wrong so we so we so we talked about our Salvation stories last week as an ice breaker and um so we’ll continue kind of in that vein um for our Icebreaker
Tonight um as a followup question and so that question as we as we talk about living for God that ice breaker uh it begins with this it says what changes happened in your life once you met Jesus what motivated these changes so it’s a follow-up from last week so we’ll
Start there what changes happened in your life once you met Jesus and what motivated those changes good evening welcome to the Huddle what changes say uh hello some people had to go um that was um you hear me we can hear you ah turn me up we can hear you we can hear
You um but yeah just that was a big change like some people had to go um in my life um I had to let some people go okay good that’s good anybody else what changes what happened anybody else what sister Angie um um like couldn’t do the things that I
Used to do so I mean I grew up in the church but I wasn’t really living for God until like this year for real for real and so like when I was at College like you know like partying and clubbing and stuff and then like like probably like last
December I like knew that I like had to stop doing it and then like maybe January it was like I was celebrating one of my friend’s birthday so I was like okay I’ll go and like just being there I was like okay like no I can’t do
This no more like it’s not conducive for my spirit so yeah all right all right sister Angie Um I was going to pck you back to say the same thing just changes as far as certain things I was involved with um even though I got saved younger I’ll reflect back to college as well too um I just remember feeling different when I took part in activities certain
Activities that I was comfortable with before and then all of a sudden you I started feeling convicted with certain things um and I just remember in particular being a part of like college fashion troop and being involved with the fashion shows fine everything’s for all types of music scenes clothes and
Then I remember my junior year preparing for a big show um and just the the choice of music and everything just didn’t sit well with me and I didn’t know why and I start feeling different and I pulled myself and dropped the modeling troop and I was like
Questioning myself why I was doing it at the same time so I knew it wasn’t me I know it was God because I was fussing back but I did it anyway but it just started feeling different so I started changing certain things that I was involved with awesome all right good
Stuff go ahead okay so I had to accept that people from my past will see still see the old version of me until they see the Christ in me and so I had to accept like hey Jazz they’re not going to see you the same so listen but
You going to have to walk by yourself and you going to have to accept like they going they going to look at they going to look at you like the old version of you but you are responsible for where I am taking you so that’s good that’s good that’s awesome anybody everybody
Else I’ll add go ahead T the day I got saved I remember and I was in college and I was a big big hip-hop I mean it’s just nothing like hip-hop right the classics I don’t know what’s going on with this knickknack Patty wack g dog
Bone mess here but back then I felt convicted and I threw away all my CDs wow I know I was committed that’s committed that’s commitment I said it was and my roommate she said oh my God all this is in the trash and so that was that Sunday evening um
After I got saved that Sunday morning and then the other thing was that changed was I was in church there was no sleeping in I had a rule cuz I didn’t want to be convicted I would just go to church on the third third Sunday of the month and people who
Invited me I said nope it’s not third Sunday it’s not my time to go and so cuz I didn’t want to get saved I mean I was just honest I was not going to go in there and be convicted it was not my
Sunday to go and so um but I was I was in church every Sunday every Thursday evening and um and I enjoyed it and I wanted to go and so that those were the instant changes yeah it’s good I remember um you know when I first accepted Christ how
Um I had to step away from kind of like my old friends and like God incubated me with like new friends who like really love Christ and they were all in college and or working young and um it gave me a new set of friends why I grew in
Christ and you know I kind of kind of like to say it until I was Stronger to go into kind of like my my old friend circles and not be swayed either way but it God kind of gave me an incubation period where um they like playing basketball doing different things and I
Kind of like my lifestyle just kind of purified itself but I was able to still do some of the recreational stuff I like to do um so that was that’s kind of like my story um one more before we move on one more sister Q thank you
Um I saw a lot of changes or noticed a lot of changes um in my life when I met Christ uh one thing was um the oh sorry um some of the areas where I felt as though I shouldn’t travel into um I just developed a certain level of confidence
To be able to travel into those areas where I may have uh pulled back from in the past so um I did get a I guess a supernal level of confidence um so yeah yeah all right all right so as we kind of venture in our first question for
Tonight is an interesting one I like it it says one once you um become a Christian why does God have the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with your body especially in terms of things like food drink Sex and the like woo I jumped out the gate with it
Today why why do you think you know why does he have the right I can’t hear it I got I hear people talking but I can’t hear it go ahead yep she said that’s the holy spirit’s dwelling place is it off yeah but yes that’s the holy
Spirit’s dwelling place so we ought to honor it and I always think of it like I you know listen you don’t like to walk into a dirty house so why the Holy Spirit got to live in one you know and so that’s how think all the time even
When it’s down to my eating or I got to work out I think like that like all right Jazz you got to get yourself together that’s good that’s good anybody else why is he on the right it’s going to say because our body is our Temple and um we you know it’s
Part of the sacrifice we have to sacrifice our you know our wants our our desires to to follow Christ that’s good that’s good anybody else um let’s go to um let me see here first Corinthians I believe 1 Corinthians chapter 6 this is where you can find
This I want to go to what you just said um sister Kesha let’s go down to verse 19 who has that who has it 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 19 all right sister Q can you read 19 and 20 do you know that your bodies are
Temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you whom you have received from God you are not your own you were brought at a price therefore honor God with your bodies what does that mean to you you how would you like just how would you just kind of paraphrase that like how
Would you interpret that sister Shonda I’m calling on y’all y’all ain’t gonna raise your hand i’m G call on Y tonight amen when it speaks about we were bought at a price God died on the cross for our sins yeah so that’s the price he paid to
Save all of us and so if we’re giving our lives back to him we have to sacrifice the temple that he paid the price for and that was to save us for our sins that’s good amen that’s good anybody want to paraphrase how that how would you interpret that go ahead sister
Teesha as Christians we represent Christ so we should be Christlike so it’s we’re no longer ourselves we know our our bodies no longer belong to self but it belongs to God once we accepted him in into our life we we gave we gave everything unto God everything should be
Unto God not about us but it’s all about him so daily we should try be trying to be more like him that’s it you know some people say well we’re under grace and you know all you got to ask God to forgive you yes he’s faithful and he’s
Just to forgive us of our sins right but watch this we shouldn’t just be doing we should shouldn’t just be sinning to sin um we should we should approach our lifestyles as I want to honor God with not only uh my life but my lifestyle I really want my lifestyle to mirror or
Reflect Christ because he bought us with a price the seal we Tau about this we have the Seal of the Holy Ghost um inside of us and why would we take the Holy Ghost into these all types of places and situations and and things Elder you want to just talk a little bit
About that I just want to hear your heart on that just share your thoughts sin that Grace May abound come on God forbid and you know when when when you get saved everything changes like you when you ask that question what changes everything everything changes my thought
Pattern change the way I talk change uh what I watch change what I listened to change the people who I was around Chang everything changed everything I when I came to church I brought a Bible when I was in church when I wasn’t in church I would read my
Bible because I I I would come to church but church was just church but when you get saved church is real it becomes alive I I didn’t I didn’t know people would ride around and listen to church music I would listen to church music then I started to to actually listen to preaching
Through the week because you know when I came up all we did was on church was on Sunday morning that time frame and that was it I didn’t read no Bible that was a preacher job but when you get you get saved it’s it’s another dimension to it
And I I didn’t realize uh uh came to Bible study I didn’t know people came to church at night there’s people in here at night they having study they actually opening the Bible and actually reading the Bible you know I’m like wow this is different these people serious yeah then they
Start talking about giving you money and you can’t do what you want to do you can’t go and do and say and act this is different so for me everything changed and I thought I was doing pretty good yeah you know I was I grew up in the
Church but when you say save and stuff it went to another level I didn’t even know all this existed over here but you know that’s that’s what I learned everything changed in my life that’s good that’s good and and you learned that at Bible study yeah listen y’all
Bible study this is where you grow amen this is where you grow I feel like Sunday mornings are kind of like the Apex of like our week but this is where you come to grow I remember sitting in Bible study this is where I learned you
Know how to flip from you know Old and New Testament how do I find habca how do I get the nem you know like first and second Peter James 1 and third John you know like this is what I learned that at Bible study go ahead and I and I want to
Say this the scripture says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge but they have a formal godliness but denying the power thereof of such turn away so I was in Bible study and uh the the the pastor was teaching and and this pastor was good
Good man I was listening and he was going on and on and he said God has no respect of person so I had a partner who I had invited him to church he got saved but uh he was even though he just got save
He was further ahead of me and so I I I asked him I said help me understand so you saying God has no respect a person I said let’s go I said is he is he saying that God loves us all the same he said that’s what he is saying now to
Me that was fign H God loves all of us the same but where I’m from it’s like God loved the white man more than he loved the black man because we catching all these H double hockey sticks and these people doing us like this cuz I’m from Calhoun County you
Know I’m from colored and white you know that’s my reality so you saying to me God loves me just the same and I learned that in Bible study because I’ll be honest I didn’t think that I thought God got to love the white man more wow CU man from what I’m seeing
Because what my perception is my reality you know now now see the Lord blessed a lot of you all from the north but here in the South it wasn’t always like this you understand you know and and and to see and then to understand that I had
Access to God and that God heard me and and and and As I Grew in Christ I learned even more but but but the start of it the spark came in Bible study that’s why I always say it’s it’s important because because God will give
You the pointers on how to live like the thing I said about the stop sign and in the little things you know it’s it’s how to live how do I take what I hear and model it in my life because it’s it’s not the hearer of the
Word but the doer doer that’s right it’s easy amen Pastor let’s J let’s run oh but let’s live it let’s do it when you have to bite your tongue when you know you right you know when you know you right you know you want to say
Something I’mma tell him a piece of my mind wait a minute but but but can you just because just cuz you know don’t you don’t have to say it that’s right that’s man this is good somebody say we living for God say we living for God we living
For God all right keep going keep going go ahead brother Rob um what I say is kind of like an answer to the Icebreaker and this question because I um accepted the Lord in my life at such a young age I think that it’s it’s almost I don’t
Want to say it’s too a fault for kids to accept God in their life but you don’t really understand the way that you’re supposed to live your life when you accept the Lord in your life as a child like you recognize that there’s this higher power God is Jesus the holy
Spirit is God it’s all one and you you have the Elders of your family that teach you this you go to church at least I went to church and you believe it and so that stays in my heart and it’s never gone anywhere but being that I wasn’t
Even 15 you know know is you start becoming 15 16 17 you start liking girls differently yeah life happens right you you your boys start doing different things you start being able to stay out the house more now it’s not like when electricity come up the light pole you
Got to be in the house you could stay out I didn’t have a curfew my curfew was come in when you get home don’t disrespect my house but I didn’t have a curfew and so you get to living your life in the way that Society is telling
You that’s cool you still have your morals and your guidelines that your parents are instilling in you but you still are living in the world in a lot of ways and so for me it was now I’m into my 20s and now you start because I never stopped praying
Because I never stopped Believing on the Lord as as as my help you start now feeling some type of way when you in different environments you start seeing things you say man don’t want to be like them don’t want to be like her don’t want to be
Like that crew over there the crew that I’m with we pretty good and especially when you compare us to them over there CU they on the Block and they shooting over there and we know it and where I’m from that’s really going on and then as you then you you you
Probably at least for me you slide back and cuz you still in the the world and then you you get closer to God again so I’ve been through that multiple times in my life you know I’m not going to lie to you I’ve been going to church back in
The streets going to church now I’m serving in the church back in the streets then it gets to a point where you say wait a minute everything that I’ve done God has protected me through it being in places that I know I shouldn’t have been and hearing hearing
That Z sound you don’t want to hear that sound that’s when the bullets go past but that’s what it sound like you don’t understand until you have one go past your head and you don’t think about it until after you get back in the car that I should have been
Dead or the car come across the street in your lane and you don’t know how it got to the you got past it or you are in the club and everybody passing around bottles but now you saying I’m good and now the music that you listening to
Doesn’t fulfill you looking at the woman that you was looking at before when you would have been dancing all up against her doesn’t turn you on anymore so now you know that the holy spirit is working in you and you say thank you God and then you start seeing where the trials
That you used to be so bothered by you say thank you for this trial because I know something good is on the other side of it and so for me that’s where what it is it’s like now I don’t smoke I don’t drink I don’t listen to a lot of the
Music that I used to listen to you know so it it makes a big difference in the way that I I feed my soul and and and I can feel the blessings and I can see the blessings and now it’s not just me feeling him see him but I see him coming
Out of my children and so there’s the difference for me yeah you know we have a saying a child save is a soul save plus a life right and so I think what I’m hearing is just levels of maturing Happ happening over your life right um I
Think if we can get it early you know um God is pleased when we start making like the the decisions that please him early in our life I feel like we can save you know ourselves from a lot of heartache and pain um I believe my mother sended
Me to church when I was seven even though they stay home shape my theology as a child yeah prepared me for you know hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I don’t ever discount that so shout out to your parents for taking you to church go ahead sister Jana and so I
Can speak to that because I got baptized when I was like four or five I got the Holy Ghost when I was five and so and my par I mean they can tell you like we would be playing church at home and I’m I’m serious like full out tears tongues you
Know and there was a time in my life where I didn’t regret that but it just always made me different even when I got older like I would go out like oh I’m I remember one time we went to a party and it’s like now I know it was
Discernment but we got there like 11 o’ we walked in and I said I said they didn’t search us we said T my mom and dad was like We Made It by 11:04 we was in the bathroom calling on Jesus cuz they were shooting bullet went
Right by Chanel head like and it was just you know so I get what you’re saying but even what I’m trying to say is even through all of that I was always the church girl I was the one people knew they could call when they needed
Prayer or or whatever and even when you know I tried to live a little bit I had it got to a point where it was just like I’m never going to fit in like this is just this this is this is not going to
Work like this is just who I am and now here I am at my grown age and I’m grateful for Experiencing God that young because I can only imagine what that how that experience that young kept me and how it carried me so you know that’s good sister Tanya then first
And then I see sister kha hand I also wanted to add even with that first um the question the Bible says don’t quench the spirit and we do that by what we feed ourselves physically and spiritually and so as we’ve been talking about maturing as you begin to be more mature
And your appetites begin to change that’s where I believe it allows the Holy Spirit Spirit to move in us to resist the Temptations or they’re not even Temptations anymore and that yes we can give and God is more real I mean I know I’ve been in positions
Where either in a bad State depressed or you know you just do those things that will help you feel better or numb the pain and yes God can speak through that but what if you know we didn’t have those proclivities or what have you and you’re able to really hone in on
Communion with the Holy Spirit um having your inner ear sensitive to what he’s saying and so what I’m saying is it’s not just okay am my I’m seeing it’s not just that we are his he bought us with the price that’s looking towards God but if we look towards ourselves in our
Relationship how can we build it there’s just something things you just don’t want in your spirit so case in point I was at work this was some years ago and they were talking about a show and everybody was talking one one of these shows that everybody was looking at and
Um I was only one in the room and I’m like I don’t know about that show I heard about it and they looked at me you don’t watch that no I don’t want that in my spirit and then the room got quiet but it was true and it’s because
No I don’t want to contaminate I want to still keep my ear open um to what the Holy Spirit may say that’s good that’s good um first no so I was uh listening to you know I think we’re talking about pre-christian and and stuff like that and I remember I
Grew up in church and I as I went to college I realized that is it is a such thing as a healthy fear of God and the unhealthy fear of God right and so when I when I think of that I think of the oldtime church where they had like
Leviticus rules you can’t do this you can’t do that and that you know when you grow up in that you know when you finally go off to college those guys or girls they wide open right and so they come after those type of people because they have what
Paul I I can’t recall the scripture that Paul has but he also talks to the Christians I think it’s the Church of Corinth because we read out of Corinth a lot but the Church of Corinth was a wild Church you know that’s why he had to
Write to them so many times cuz they was off the chain but anyway when you growing up in a church you have to watch what type of fear you have of the Lord right it’s a healthy and it’s a unhealthy and the ones that have a
Unhealthy fear of the Lord you tend to get this type of um Old Testament ways I can’t do this and I can’t do that and then when we come into Christ that giv us grace and mercy right and like Paul said I had to become some of these
Things to win some right I may had to you know I’mma go to the club but I have boundaries but sometimes I had to do some things to win some to win some Souls so you have to be careful of people and you always hear about these
People oh she’s so churchy oh she she’s so heavily minded she’s no and so the thing about that you have to remember that it is um some boundaries we need to set and not only that remember we don’t serve a God as like a you know a monster
You know he doesn’t want us to have a unhealthy fear of him and I remember my pre-christian days I was just in a church where it was a lot of can’t do and that was not and and I got saved cuz I just didn’t want to go to hell and
That’s not the reason to get saved you understand what the church I grew up in the reason to get saved because God he really loved me and he died for me and that’s why I want to live like this not because oh my God at any time you know
God going to strike me down you know we that’s and that’s the type of church that I grew up in but thank God for my mother she had enough sense to say teach us different you know you can wear pants you’re not going to go to hell cuz you
Got pants on and I’m talking like this cuz some of us came up in the church like that you know and you’re not going to go to hell cuz you got red lipstick on you’re not a jezebel you know and that’s a unhealthy um fear sometimes we have of
The Lord and we have to sometimes pray that thing off of us because we begin to judge others because they have these things on and there they loving the Lord they freeing they freeing God and we want to condemn them cuz you not you know so make sure you know when we
Really come to know who God is that we don’t have this unhealthy fear of God but that we have a healthy um fear of God and that’s what I wanted to say man that was really really really good it’s really good sister Kea well just about everything first lady and
Said what I was to say cuz I I did I I will admit that when I first got saved I did get saved for one I was walked up to the altar it wasn’t even you know do you want to go it was come on you you you of
Age where you you understand and you ain’t been acting right at home so you need to get saved on this sun so that you know like I said I was walked up I was definitely um gave my heart to Christ because I did not want to go to
Hell and that’s what I believe that if I continue to to be a bad little girl I was going to go to hell so um that was why I originally gave my heart to Christ and and when I gave my heart to Christ it wasn’t like I just said it but I
Really did try to act better you know what I mean because I I mean I just I believed in God as much as I believe that my name was Kesha Koh as much as I believe that I was a black person you know what I mean because I I it was just
All I knew you know what I mean it wasn’t like I had to learn it because it was I I just that was all I knew that was all I was taught um I I didn’t have to learn as much to to pray on a regular basis because
That’s what we had to do you know what I mean I didn’t have to learn to to go to church you know I’mma get up and only go I was only going to thur it was it was none of that because we had to go all
The time we went to church at night you know um all all of that stuff we couldn’t wear red lipstick we couldn’t wear nail polish um we could wear pants however my mother you know that that generation could not so because my mother hated that part so bad she did
Let me wear pants but um just just so much that like you said we couldn’t do so one of the things I will say that once I really got serious more serious about my salvation I started to really dissect the word for myself and get a better understanding for myself you know
And um like you said to develop a healthy fear of godo really good man I love this I love it you know my go listen the religious folk tell you what you can and can’t do the religious folk but you go in their house all right they got Rick James in them allall
They got all the Vine I said de why you got Rick James in your and I didn’t threw my I didn’t threw biggie away but you got Rick James I digress I had to call De out I threw away my Biggie album you got Rick James is the [Laughter]
Same oh you should have seen a look on his face I have lost track all right wa because we think cuz the song is old it’s acceptable all right all right I’m just saying it’s I’m just you know get rid of that Sam cookout no I’m just I’m just playing all right so
Peter I can’t I feel like we kind of answered that question um as pre- Christians and you know we having our friends kind of you know not really see us I’m going to go I’m going to drop down um how do you think um persecutions and sufferings um have a reason and a
Purpose how do they refine and purify us how do they help us become more real helpful and relevant to others when it comes to evangelism now I love it this is a really good question this ain’t for the people who want to keep a religious facade up go ahead right
There so I think there’s a fine line between religious and spirituality so I grew up in the church but I was very Church hurt like I went to a church where like people were very very judgmental and I grew up you know where you couldn’t wear pants in the
Church you couldn’t have earrings you couldn’t do everything and and but yet I saw the elders in the church doing it and so and people would ridicule you if you were out of line I come from a toxic background my mama was Sav my daddy wasn’t so my daddy spent a
Lot of time pointing out like you see them you going to church on Sunday you following what they doing but yet in still the pastor was on drugs because he was buying dope from a dude who I was in school with and then like people in the church were running around pregnant 13
Year olds like you know it was just a lot kind of going on and so my dad was the one who was just kind of like mhm and you see that you get up on Sunday and go to church with your mom but look at them they all Hypocrites they all you
Know like so you might as well just go out and live your life and so that’s what I did I went out lived my life because I felt like y’all doing it except the only difference between me and you is I’m not claiming to be saved
I know my life isn’t right but y’all are out here preaching on Sunday but I’m bumping into you in the club on Saturday so I just like I think that there as I got older I kind of was like you know what if I’m going to do this thing if
I’m going to actually turn around and say you know God is my savior then let my life be reflective of that let me actually kind of of walk and you know kind of show people like you know I am really trying you know I’m not saying that I’m perfect and every day isn’t
Going to be perfect but I am trying I’m trying to you know be a reflection of God wants me to be but I think by kind of like proclaiming that and just kind of being upfront and real because nobody God didn’t say you had to be perfect you
Know like nobody ever said God didn’t come down and say okay my child you saved and everything from here on out is going to be easy you know that’s just not how it is but it’s a conscious effort every single day to make a different choice and you know
And I still you know engage in that today because it’s so easy to revert back it’s so easy to go back to who you used to be because you’ve been that way for so long and so but to actually make a conscious decision and just kind of be
Like you know what God I actually want to do right I actually want to be a different person I think that that’s what kind of keeps me motivated to be like you know what let me continue to go into the storehouse so that I can
Be renewed because you know I need I I think there’s a vulnerability there you know like just coming before God and just kind of being like you know what I can’t do this you know I can’t do this I need you to fill me up because that’s
The only way that I’m going to continue to go and be a reflection of who you really are so amen that’s really good I’m reminded of the scripture we overcome by the the blood of the lamb and the word of Our Testimony right um I think coming from
An authentic place like not that we we you know we glorify kind of like that sin Driven Life but like the Lord brought me out of this and when you can share your like the real self with somebody you never know who you’re going to encourage and your testimony might be the testimony
That helps bring somebody else out and I think as Christians we sometimes we get ashamed we because we’ve we’ve cleaned ourselves up so much that we don’t even want to be reminded of where we come from but I I thank God for the lean times in my life because it’s it’s given
Me a grit and a grind and I think some of us have are ashamed of our bottom no like you you need to praise God that you touch the bottom because now you know what the floor feel like um sister Angel you had your hand up
Just briefly I was looking at the um the question and a word that stood out to me that’s not here is when I think about like being able to relate and that’s probably my word being able to relate and having a sensitivity um when you think about persecutions and suffering
Having a reason for that purpose it’s because God knows further down the line that he has special individuals that only maybe my personal testimony might impact them where they are at their life and then someone else may take them further it’s the same with me as well
Too and I feel like God allows us to cross um paths with individuals that can relate to us in certain points of our life I might share my testimony with mosia and first lady miosa hasn’t gone through it but maybe she’s doing the best she can to encourage me and just
Give me a word and I’m like thank you I appreciate that but if I talk to first lady for instance and she’s gone through it and she’s equally encouraging me and giving me a word I might receive it a little bit different because maybe that’s something that she she suffered
With earlier and so now she’s gone through it so I feel like you can maybe relate a little bit more not to discredit it but when you go through personal sufferings and you’re evangelizing to someone you’re able to relate to them it’s a personal witness I
Can tell my story and so and also I feel like what I I put here is I put I have a sensitivity versus arrogance or judgment when I see likeminded sufferings so if I see that you’re struggling an abusive relationship emotional if I see you’re struggling in
An area with your parents whatever it may be I feel like I can witness to you a little bit more because now you’re you might be open to hear me and hear God through me because you see that I’m not putting up a front and likewise I’m not
Judging you and I’m not being arrogant thinking like how could she act like that how could he act like that because now I’m God is taking me back in my memory to where I was when I suffered and went through it so now it’s like remove all the arrogance and the
Judgment now so it’s like now this is your time to tell your story because your suffering produces a story and don’t keep your story locked up in you because you can’t spread the gospel through your personal testimony through your evangelism man that’s really good really really really good um right here and then
Next I’m come back to you because I know you okay so um to pigy back off of what you were saying um as I was sitting here um the Holy Spirit reminded me of the both the two words persecution and suffering um specifically suffering um when in doing discipleship and
Multiplying disciples and having to go evangelize and so forth and so on God reminded me Jasmine you have um there’s two types of suffering that I want you to um always share with my people because you have a lot of people that live that don’t live for God and they
Just like um Holy Spirit how did you give it to me um when discipling you have a lot of people that I’m sorry I’m not used to this old mic thing I’m I don’t like the mic so um what God was telling me as I was sitting here there’s
Two type of suffering you can suffer with me or you can Suffer Without Me and You have a lot of people that make excuses for their suffering and when we go out to disciple and to spread the gospel I always give my testimony there was a time where I was literally
Suffering without God and was living a life of Torment until God you know I I I you know found God for myself and but the churchy people and the religious people don’t teach you that they teach you to go to church and uh go home but they don’t teach you TR sustainability
In God like what does that look like what is what does it look like to live for God can I still do do my thing on the side and then come to church and I’m all good or what does it look like and
So um what I found to be true is that I learned God for myself and I learned that listen when I live for God and I really surrender all the ways of the world and and give up that life I can truly Suffer Well With God so that’s
What I’m trying that’s good right next to you very good very good I was going to address the question um about how do we think like persecutions and suffering have a reason and I think it’s to show us how to depend on God because like if we’re not suffering and life is going
Well then we don’t think that we need God or like it’s like okay God is there but you don’t really like feel him or like need him um so then like you get to that point where you can relate to people and their stories and preach like
Okay like I was at this low point and I was considering suicide or whatever and then you can like relate to people when they have those same stories and you can tell them how God brought you through it those situations very good very good first I’m reminded of the chapter right
Before this and the whole point of Christ coming is to be so he could relate to our suffering so the scripture is Philippians 3:10 that I may know him in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering and it goes back one one Bible study we were talking
About fraternities and sororities and I don’t think sometimes whoever crossed over I don’t believe but whenever crossed over you all are connected by your suffering and what you went through and so for you to connect with Christ Christ suffering and pain has to be included in your walk in order for you
To connect with Christ with the fellowship because the pain tolerance that you need to have to go further in the kingdom is what’s going to matter that’s why Christ has the name above all names because he suffered pain until death so we have to get the suffering is always going to be
There process is permanent so when I think of the fellowship of his suffering and getting to know him and what he been through that was the whole point of him coming to show us that you can do it in the flesh you can do it cuz I did it and now
That I did it I’m going to send you power Holy Ghost to get you through so the suffering the pain is all because we need fellowship with Christ to know him and the power of His res resur resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering you want the power suffering Fellowship
Suffering so but he says cheer up there in this world there will be trouble he but he says but cheer up for I have overcome the world so there is hope so um I just don’t want this to be like oh my God we got to suffer but it’s
It’s Fellowship in the suffering that’s where we find the fellowship so be encouraged and and um it just sound like like oh my God but it’s Joy on the other side so um be encouraged cuz he did he did rise on the third day so with all
Power in his hands so we’re going to be required to suffer ju he said but just for a little while just for a little while and and and watch God just begin to work in your life through that I’mma I’m going draw your attent that’s a really good word but let me
Draw your attention to verse seven of our text amen um 1 Peter 4 and7 are we there it says the end of all things is near therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray and and we we bring ourselves into alignment um with
Christ because we got to we got to understand that the end is near I know if the end is near we I mean we’re closer today than we were yesterday I need y’all to understand that and Christ is coming back and and I think we have to learn as
Believers we gotta we got to understand that we have to give an account for how we live we do good or small or indifferent we got to we going we’re going to talk to Christ we’re going to have a conversation and it’s going to run back
Our life and we’re going to have a conversation about it and so we we have to live with that reality I I I’m just and get quiet when when we talk like that but that is a reality of Our Lives amen and and let me let me help you out
Too this world doesn’t it’s not set up this world this world is not set up for believes this is a dark world Amen and we got to learn that we glory in tribulations we glory in it’s a different mindset to lift your hands even even though you’re going through a

Needed um and if I’m going to him and just saying you know what’s on my heart he can very well know but I’m not opening up my mouth so it’s like if you’re if you’re not bold enough to ask him why would he do it and when you
Start asking him I said this yesterday if he answers quickly don’t be shocked just know that you finally figured out how to open up your mouth and ask and that’s all he was waiting for you to do was ask for it but even when I’m not in
The space to ask because I might not know what that is I’m grateful that he hears my heart very good I know very good um I chose verse 31 also 32 though because that finishes the whole verse no it answers the question and it says What then shall we
Say in response to these things if God is for us who can be against us he who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all how will he not also along with him graciously give us all things wow that’s a heavy one I love that verse

Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit I didn’t understand it then but I understand it now and I and to truth be told I still I’m learning to understand it more um but the Amplified reads it like there is no condemnation no guilty verdict no
Punishment for those who are in Christ Jesus who believe in him as personal Lord and Savior for the spirit for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free and it made me think about this particular assignment here made me think about first lady
Talking about having a healthy fear and an unhealthy fear of God and I think for so long I’ve kind of always lived in a fear of judgment I don’t do everything right not perfect how many times do I have to repent um but this this um this
Verse is kind of like it’s like your freedom stamp yeah your Liberation stamp regardless you someone down here said I think she said right there of course we’re not perfect but this is like my Clause is say I belong to you God and you love me not for the perfected of me
Version of me but for me cuz you already fornew me really good it’s really good um mine was the 29th for God knew his people and advance and he chose to become like his son so that his son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters from that I took it
As um God knew who we were going to become and who we were and what s we’re going to commit and how we’re going to fall short beforehand before we even landed on this Earth but yet he still chose to love us anyway come on love it

Think about no matter what I go through or no matter what I do there is nothing that I can go through or do that will separate me from the love of God um like kind of what she said he knew my story before I knew my story that’s right he
Knows my past before I walk it so he knows what I’m going to encounter he already know what I’m going to do so even though he knows what I’m going to do he know I’m not going to always do the right path I’m not going to always
Do the right thing but no matter what I do I cannot there is nothing I can do to stop God from loving me for who I am good it’s good that’s good amen so my verse is verse 28 and we know that all things God work for the good of
Those who love him who have been called according to his to his purpose and so no matter what happens in my life what path I take what direction I try to go on I know God has a purpose in my life and he’s going to make sure every step
That I take he’s going to order that step to make it good and so I lean on him and trust in him knowing that no matter if I’m in my flesh or if I’m in the spirit he’s going to always be there to lead my path and direct me to good good
Good for that’s really good and uh mine is I’m I’mma connect uh three of them so 6 through eight let me talk okay um the I got this the Mind governed by the flesh is death but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace the Mind governed by the flesh is
Hostile to God it does not submit to God’s law nor can it do so those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God then you go down to 12 and it says therefore brothers and sisters sister of mine um we have an obligation but it is
Not to the flesh to live according to it for if you live according to the flesh you will die but if by the spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you will live so it basically say to me um you got to watch what’s in your mind
You got to keep your mind on God you got you have you can’t necessarily live by what you want in terms of your fleshly desires and you really have to make sure that your body your mind and your spirit is committed to God yeah I see it that’s really good all right

Um and so for me um especially um in in the season that I’m in right now um it just constantly reminds me that um I’m I’m inherited to his promise I’m inherited to the riches I’m inherited to all of it but at the same time I have to
Endure suffering just like he did and um you know no matter what because I am his child he’s going to always cover me um even when I may feel like he’s not there he’s always there um so that’s that’s one of mine very well um so mine rash already said mine
Um it’s Romans 8:28 um and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose um that’s my favorite verse uh it’s um it’s one of those verses that really reminds
You of how God Is So Sovereign and all powerful that like he can work the bad days and make it into something good and you may not see it today or tomorrow but um have faith that you’ll see that happen the outcome work all to together for good so that’s
Fine good good T um mine too was Romans 8 8 37-39 yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us for persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height
Nor depth nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our lord that just preaches all by itself it just makes me feel secure and covered and that I can truly trust God I mean I
That he has my back and he has me covered no matter what nothing can separate us from that and we’re more than conquerors we’re Beyond Victorious because of his love we’ll move on down to the next three so mine was Romans 828 um everything that y’all said

Reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us and I like that scripture because it’s like these light afflictions only for a moment we’ll jump on over the pond here Hallelujah well we only we only did one

You’re like you know you just just seems like it’s so much so much to deal with but then once you have that baby and you’re giv that gift it could have just been 10 minutes ago that you you know you come out of labor but it’s you’re so
Happy with that gift it’s almost like you don’t even remember what you just went through because you’re just so excited about about the blessing you know it’s almost like as if that didn’t even happen look at what I got from that you know what I mean it was so worth it
So that’s how I I think about it that you know what we’re going through at the moment it seems so great but what God is about to do it’s G to seem like oh that was nothing that’s what I had to go through to get this do you see my
Gift and then not only that but then um my sister here she talked about how that you get so excited about your gift that it encourages you to go through those birthing pains again you know what I mean even though you in this time you
Know what it’s going to be like you know how somebody sometimes people say um you know I wouldn’t wish wish this on my worst enemy or if I knew this is what it was going to take well even though we know that that’s what it’s going to take
We’re still willing to go through it because we know we trust and believe that God the gift we’re about to get is going to be so great it’s going to be like it’s okay I got love it love it love it that was really good go sister Q sister Q sister
Q all right all right all right um Romans 8 and 15 and it reads the spirit you receive does not make you slave so that you live in fear again rather the spirit you receive brought about your adoption to sunship and because of that I cry father and I’m so glad that the courts in heaven have my name
Sunship sunship that’s that’s real I saided about sunship this week and so um I’m I had more than one but I don’t want miosa to say something to me so I’m gonna do one I don’t want to get I don’t want to get scold I don’t want to get
Scold so I’m going to do one so uh mine was um Romans uh 8 and3 for what the law could not do in that it was weak through flesh and so that puts me in the mindset of the Old Testament where he first brought the law to man
And it was try it was trying to be fulfilled through man but the Clause be says it’s not two verses miosa Clause B says God sent his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for and for sin condemn sin in the flesh and so what that means you know when God
First had the Israelites he brought the law and without law is chaos so imagine us driving and all the lights are green so so God had to put a red light in there so everyone wouldn’t crash and so when you bring Christ into the scene which is the red light that brings order
Peace calmness and freedom you ever somebody you never know you’re doing something wrong until somebody says that’s wrong you know what I’m saying and that’s how the world was and so God had to bring law number one because it was so much chaos and so we
Need law for order but when it’s done through us we couldn’t fulfill it so he had to send his son so that we can do it with order peace calmness and freedom so thank God for the law but thank God for sending his son to fulfill the law
Because we could not keep it and you know if we broke one law that mean you broke all of them and God knew we couldn’t do it so he sent his son you the other thing is when somebody says hey you know that’s wrong you know
You think it’s right so sometime law can condemn you too like Oh I thought I was right but no soon as somebody say it’s wrong and then and then when they say it’s wrong you want it even more why can’t I do it now I really want
That you know what I’m saying so when Christ comes it’s it’s more like a freedom cuz he’s fulfilling the law so thank God for Christ amen your phone just um I have um Romans 8:19 it says uh for the creation Waits an eager expectation uh for the children of God to be revealed
Um I think just by itself just says it um the earth is waiting on us um we go through our pains we go through our sufferings but it’s it’s perfecting us for purpose it’s perfecting us for for Destiny and when God reveals you to Creation like like Kesha said when they
When that baby is revealed the joy that hits the room so I just want to encourage you everything that you’re going through man is a part of your birthing process and the earth is waiting for you he’s waiting for you to to Really grab hold of your purpose
Your destiny to flow in your god-given gifts um what God has ordained and instructed you to do in its Earth realm the earth is waiting for you creation is waiting for you for you so so I I encourage you if you have not found purpose in Christ to ask God what is
