Hello, my name is KenAsia Woods. I am the president of the Rho Nu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated here at Midwestern State University. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded January 15, 1908 on the campus of Howard University, making us the first African American sorority.
The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve the social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in
College life, and to be of service to all mankind. The best way to get involved with the Rho Nu chapter is just by simply coming to our events that we have throughout the year. Come participate, introduce yourself, get to know some of our members,
And really see the type of events that we put on for our campus and the things that we do in our community. The best way to keep in touch with us and really see the things that we have planned for this semester is by following us on Instagram @RhoNU_AKAs
