Kamal Pasha is a distinguished retired Kerala high court judge whose illustrious carrier has left an indeliberate mark on the anals of justice justice B Kamal Pasha who hails from colum District completed his LLB from government low College Ty anandapuram and got enrolled as an advocate in 1979 late later he led a meritorious

Tenure as district and Sessions Judge across the state while serving the post of register general of high court of Kerala he was appointed as an additional judge of the high court of Kerala in 2013 and became a permanent judge of the high court of Kerala from 2014 onwards

And he is one of the board of governers of Kerala judicial Academy throughout his years of dedicated service on the bench he exemplified the highest standards of legal expertise and a steadfast commitment to uphold the principles of Justice beyond the courtroom he had been an embodiment of wisdom humility and

Now the first two years were Co the last year I I was undergoing a surgery in December so I could not be part of this August Gathering I had to miss all the functions and uh this time of course I wanted to be there on all the three days but unfortunately due to

Other engagements I I I wanted to make sure that I be here today so I’m really happy to be with you all today before I share my thoughts let me first of all congratulate the beautiful dance the children who dance on stage the that was really a good

Show that makes us all feel proud you know the fact just not enough that children study but also be actively involved in extracurricular activities so it was really heartening to see that dance annual day is a culmination of um a school year where all the fun and Frolic

That you’ve been having over the last 6 s months is more or less coming to an end you’re getting to the serious part of the the studies now that as January comes and when you come back to school after Christmas holidays your focus would be more on

Education so today is the day when you really need to chill out relax take stock of what happened over the last 8 n months I’m sure this annual report would give us an insight into what happened through the year and I’m extremely happy to say that

The last um couple of years uh we have seen a lot of active interest being taken by the school in ensuring that we participate in lot of the um art and as well as Sports meets outside we’ve done pretty well in the cultural events as well as in the literary

Events uh across across the at least in kachin and nearby areas where we have participated we’ve done pretty well so all the credit goes to the teachers who have worked really hard to make sure that our students remain competitive and top on top in fact a number of a number of um

You know occasions we have seen especially at the competitions that we went for a global and many other big institutions which which we rate higher than us we did pretty well it was also a proud moment for us as management to hear the fact that we were doing pretty

Well and that is motivating us to do even better because in terms of supporting the efforts so this year we made a major change in the FNA support to make sure that we get the best of people to come and train our children to equip themselves to be part of the the

So active and aggressive world outside in all respects we also made sure that we are exposing our children to uh to certain um aspects especially with respect to enterpreneurship we had a program which was run by the chu Academy over for the class 9 because class 10 and 12 probably

Or 11 more focused on studies we could not do that but for the ninth standard for all the divisions we did that and had the opportunity to be at the final event where at least three of the the groups presented and it was very impressive to see the talent the ideas

That they had in mind how they presented the case if at all I could pick something that was not to the to the best was the financial aspect of a business presentation but otherwise they had lot of inputs in terms of the ideas how they

Plan to look at the market so that that probably was a very small exposure but then it gave an insight for the kids in 9th standard on what’s happening out what could be done and what how could they expose themselves to business entrepreneurship uh not really being

Looking at only being a doctor or a or um or an engineer but but actually in terms of being able to go out there and compete in the world of business I would also like to thank the entire support staff other than the not teaching staff who have made sure that

You know the children are well taken care of first second aspect is the campus I don’t I’m sure our C campus is enviable in terms of the way it’s kept clean and the the garden and the beauty around it’s all being managed by the team around here and I think the

Non-teaching staff Ser an Applause for the effort that they’re doing to keep this going I also have gratitude to for share my gratitude for the parents who have always supported us in fact postco when we came back we also took a certain in initiative to make sure that there’s no

Huge impact in terms of the fee increases and all that and subsequently we made uh request to make make a change in the fees the parents were very graceful in making sure that the fee increases were accepted and you know in all aspects in every respect wherever we

Have wanted the parents to support we have had great support from the parents one aspect where I would further request at this at this Main St especially because we have students from the 6th to the 12th is also to make sure that as we have more programs around the physical

Education in terms of sports and other activities we would want your child also to participate we can only provide the the facilities the teachers and the opportunity but then it’s for the your kids to be joining them and we we shall provide any other service that’s required in terms of Transport anything

That’s required to make sure that they get a chance to participate in all of this because they need to relax and one the best way to relax is playing a sport or being active in in the field and at the same time it also inculcates in them

The spirit of um sportsmanship how to handle failure a lot of things does get learned at this at in the in the in the foot football or Cricket Fields or other sporting activities so please encourage your children just because they in the 9th or the 10th or 11th doesn’t mean

That they should you know shut down all these activities and just focus on studies alone so it’s important that they also are relaxed and I think as we provide more facilities we have determined to provide more facilities but if there are no takers for it it’ll be disappointing so in the coming years

We would encourage parents to take note of this aspect and support us in making sure because St Peter was known for his sport sports activities in the past years we want to bring it back to that same Glory what we had in the past today we have um um our one of our

Students George who passed away his father with us he had um you know very graciously offered a endowment which will be distributed today thank you sir for being with us and also graciously thinking about that I just would like to take a few more minutes to just explain what we

Plan to do we have a program we have the management has come up with a very very ambitious program of 2030 um how we can transform the way the knowledge is shared the the way the learning happens with children how the how we can get parents more involved how can we can

Support parents in terms of understanding today’s challenges and at the same time management also uh to feel part of it so we definitely are moving towards um a very structured program for the next 7 years to ensure that we make a difference in all aspects the all the four stakeholders the kids the

Teachers the parents and the management being considered we are looking at a program to improve at this point I would also like to very clearly mention that St Peters as a trust is a completely for no profit so everything that if at all we have a surplus it gets plowed back

That’s where you see all the INF physical infrastructure that we have made over the years but at the same time we want to make sure that it’s not just do not remain in beautiful buildings but also in terms of the for the students that’s coming out of our school have the

The material and the confidence to be able to go out in the world and be a street smart and be at the same time being Humane and of course knowledge and sports goes with it but making sure of all these aspects we have a number of things that we have planned over the

Years to come by I mean we start possibly would start with um kindergarten up to five in the big initial years and then gradually take it up all the way up to the 12th standard so we do hope that we would see a difference of course they as we make

Change like anything anything else changes where people are uncomfortable but the fact that Chang is what’s Constant is also important to understand so we got to keep changing with the p fast P world so we are looking at how we can equip our children for that fastpaced world is what we’re looking at
