Brothers welcome to the 2024 Exodus pre-launch live stream so grateful to have you here with us as you prepare for a new year and a new Exodus that’s right there’s so many new things this year for Exodus 90 and all of 2024 that you can expect from our team here at Exodus and
Within the app we’re going to dive into all of that here in just a bit but first let’s pray name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen St Michael the Archangel defend Us in battle be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil may
God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou oh Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls amen name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit
Amen all right Brothers throughout the live stream today we’re gonna hear from Exodus men from across the country as well as some of my Exodus teammates like Dr Jared Stout our director of content and Jamie Baxter our founder and CEO for a live ask us anything Q&A but first we’re gonna get things
Started by welcoming my friend and brother Kirt Gibson from San Diego to the stream to the stream Kurt welcome man how you doing Nick glad to be here so great it’s always good to see you always good to talk to you and um congratulations man on the birth of your
First child little Henry thank you thank you it’s been a blessing it’s uh yeah I think he’s like 12 days old now so uh yeah we’re still figuring it out I think we’ll be doing that for quite some time I’m sure yeah absolutely yeah and and being your first you know I thought
Always think the the greatest thing um about learning fatherhood I’ve only got one as you know and you’ve got to hang out with little Theodore but you know it’s eat sleep and poop a lot in the beginning just holding and hugging and loving so uh the Lord is good to us and
Teaching us slow and steady and and letting us learn along the way amen amen yeah so great well um you know everybody watching The Exodus team recently unveiled our new YouTube series called stories of Freedom featuring Exodus men from around World in their stories of uncommon Freedom including my friend
Kurt here so let’s roll Kurt’s story of freedom and then we’ll come back and we’ll chat more with Kurt on the other side my name is Kurt Gibson I currently reside in San Diego California grew up a cradle Catholic and so you know I was
Going to church but I really had no idea what that meant I had zero relationship with Jesus and anything that I tried to kind of further my faith failed pretty pretty epically once I started kind of learning about what it actually means to be a Christian then I started looking at my
Life differently and so I realized that I had an issue with pornography I had tried to fast from it i’ would say a couple of times because I kind of started to realize oo this is not good and I couldn’t do it I’ve played Sports at a high level I
Played Ultimate Frisbee on the national team I have been very disciplined in my work ethic and so I felt that I could almost will myself to do anything and when I tried to fast from pornography on my own Merit I couldn’t do it I knew that I needed help I just
Didn’t really know where that was and so when I heard Exodus 90 and what that the structure of that program is and how to L God into your heart into your life and have him be the number one in your life it was like a light bulb
Went off in my head and I said this is exactly what I need to do I literally signed up that night I literally took a cold shower and did my holy hour that night I think what surprised me the most is that I was being successful in fasting from my of pornography and
Actually fasting from it and then as I went through the Exodus program it wasn’t only that I was fasting from sin this this one specific habitual sin but it was also learning about who God is who Jesus was how did he live what is the story of Exodus and the Israelites
As they escape Pharaoh’s enslavement and how that ties to the story of our lives and so understanding that just and hearing God’s word just changed me from not only just stopping this habitual sin but also living in a different way and seeing things completely differently I I really became a new
Person because I was more energetic and then each week that went by as I was free from this habitual sin was like I just had this energy I just felt stronger you know it’s hard to explain and I just felt like I was doing the right thing also and I wasn’t living a
Lie or kind of two-faced you know one person kind of in my public life and then this other person in my private life that nobody knew or saw so it was really freeing as I went on to just say wow if I can keep living like this I can
Stay away from this stuff you know I think this I’ve done Exodus now four four times and I think each year why would I not do this and keep this going there’s really no reason to stop right I don’t need a break from having the best relationship possible with our
Lord and savior right so yeah I just think the understanding that God has called us to a life that we don’t even know exists until we get a taste of it and in that 90 days I got a taste of it so all I could think about is how do I keep this
Going if you’re considering taking on Exodus 90 ask yourself this question what do you have to lose are you afraid of failure because everybody fails in Exodus 90 nobody has a perfect Exodus 90 we are not Jesus we are aspiring to be him we’re aspiring to mimic his life and
Participate in in him and if you want to change your life for the better if you want to you want to free yourself from something some type of sin or whatever it may be then why not give that a try because it is proven to give men from
All over the world freedom in a way that they’ve never experienced before Kurt man what an incredible journey thus far and first and foremost thank you so much for sharing your story with us and for men from around the world to to to witness that via YouTube no absolutely it’s uh you know
It it took me you know I’ve done Exodus as you saw in the video I’ve done it four times this will be my fifth time and it took me you know three plus years to get to the point where I felt comfortable sharing my own story right and we all
Know that Exodus is um we want to invite other men to participate with us and and get a taste of the freedom that we’ve tasted through the program and you know I was so fearful for so long um about that habitual sin uh that I had been
Suffering from for so long you know because it’s kind of embarrassing to talk about you know pornography and these typ of things and you know you’ve got this image I had this Pride right that I wanted to keep up this image that I wanted to keep up and you know I
Remember listening to this actually my now wife at the time shared with me this podcast from uh Scott wean who was actually on hallow uh which is a great app uh by the way and he was talking about the Virgin Mary and was going through this reflection and you know he
He he went through this thing and said if if you’ve received this gift you can’t keep that gift unless you’re willing to give it away right Mary was willing to give his her son away knowing that he’s a gift to the whole world and I had been given this gift but I had
Been keeping it tight to my chest because I was like oh I’ve got my freedom I’m going to keep it but I don’t want anybody else to know and I honestly the the switch flipped and I said no that’s so selfish I’ve been given this
Gift of freedom and it can now be used to help other men who are suffering from the same thing and we all have different stories to share and it’s it’s a beautiful thing to be able to hear men from around the world sharing their stories of Freedom it’s just there’s
Really nothing else like it yeah Amen to that brother well we’ll hopefully we’ll Circle back especially that point of like sharing and the vulnerability and that switch switch there here in a in a minute but I I want to go back to you said you’ve done it fourth time four
Times this is going to be your fifth this year coming up here January 1 what would what would say has has surprised you each time and is it the same thing or are things different depending on the year for you you know I think that that first
Exodus is certainly in my experience was um the most transformative the most life-changing for sure um because I was kind of dealing with the most suffering and the most sin uh at that point the most serious sin certainly um and so you know the first year I did it remotely
The second year I did it remotely the third year I did it remotely so a remote fraternity can still work absolutely if that’s all you have and that’s all I had um that was my Gateway into it and so yeah that first Exodus I you know was
Really freed in a way um of this habitual sin but you know so the next Exodus I I I think that second Exodus certainly was like oh I didn’t have the same type of experience um and so in a sense I went into it like hey I just
Want to keep maintaining which is a great thing but it wasn’t until that third one and definitely this past year my fourth one where I started realizing okay there are still more there are still more enslavements in your life that may not be as blatant or apparent
Uh as the one that you were suffering from you know for most of your kind of uh you know adult life so um it’s it’s just interesting it’s like okay you you’re we’re on a path to towards you know Perfection right we’re not Jesus but we’re trying to to get there trying
To live the way that he does and you know each time there’s there’s probably something in your life that’s preventing you from continuing to grow in Holiness and um you know each Exodus you know really sitting down in prayer and figuring out okay what are those things
That are keeping me from growing uh in Holiness and growing closer to the Lord and um you know I think this coming year I mean I you talked about I just have a newborn son you know I’m like I got a long way to go to be the best role model
That I can be for him right and so there’s just constantly evaluating the lifestyle and how you’re living and um really can go a long way and kind of um you know elevating each Exodus as it comes yeah Kurt you mentioned the first three years I think you said that you
Did you did remote fraternities and then this past year you had you know your own inperson fraternity there in San Diego talk us a little bit about you know that shift and that experience because some guys you know they they don’t they don’t you know know guys around them or
There’s not a fraternity that they can join or guys locally and so that might be the place to start and that’s the place that you started so you started there but then you transition to you know Finding guys and building it up and and you could even talk a little bit
More about you know I know this year you’ve even gone to different parishes in San Diego to help it you know talk to guys there about building their own fraternities there and reaching men there so just talk about that experience fraternity wise on on a virtual remote
Sense and then shifting into kind of a local iners uh fraternity as well yeah absolutely I mean so my remote fraternity kind of the entry way was a longer story but the short of it is I was invited by a cooworker and he lived actually in California at the time I was
In Illinois in Chicago um now I’m in San Diego but that invitation he had guys from his college days that he was doing it with all over the country so it for me it was the Gateway into Exodus that was completely transformative um absolutely was um and that’s because I
You know held fast to the disciplines and you know wanted true freedom and allowing Christ in your life you know we we can do anything right nothing’s impossible with God so you know it it was transformative for me right so those first three years continued to grow but
I would say this past year um I had moved to s San Diego a couple years prior but contined to do my fraternity with guys that I knew and then you know the time came where I said you know I really need to find some local guys to
Do with and I think partially with a conversation with you Nick about like there’s something to be said about you know true fraternity in-person Gatherings Zoom just doesn’t replace that right I mean we tried during the pandemic and it’s good don’t get me wrong there’s a lot of good that comes
From that but at the end of the day that nothing can repair replace that true Connection in person fraternity and relationship so um I I would say those first year and a half in San Diego you know I met my wife right when I moved
There um so we hung out a lot of course but um I didn’t really develop a lot of uh good friends and and BR really brothers um you know in the the church Community right here in San Diego and so you know I had friends but it it just
Was wasn’t deep right we weren’t really connecting on a deeper level and so it wasn’t until um one I was willing to share my story that allowed other men to identify with the habitual sin that I had been suffering from kind of the the woundedness and you know the struggles
Where other men identify with that you know um and so it wasn’t until sharing that that and then inviting other men to go do it and then actually weekly sitting down on Monday nights s we met on Mondays and just sharing stories of hey what we were struggling with what
Was going on in our lives um that I frankly have now developed some of my best friends uh just the fact that you know we started an exodus 90 group together and it just has been a beautiful thing so a lot now don’t get me wrong it’s not all about just making
Great friends and whatnot but the fruit of meeting each other in person sharing your struggles and you know going through the day-to-day is just it’s been amazing to watch just one year of in-person fraternity that growth is I would argue has been maybe better than
The rest of the three that I’ve did in a remote fraternity yeah and it makes sense you know and there’s nothing wrong right like with having a virtual it’s a starting place right if that’s where you if that’s where you got to start if that’s where the Lord You Know Places
You right now in your life do it you know go find a remote fraternity but gosh you like you just said you can’t you can’t replace it in person there’s just a it’s quicker trust building you know there’s just you know especially if you are willing to authentically share
Truly what’s going on in your life and that might take a little time it takes a little bit of Courage it takes out vulnerability and I think you alluded to that but I I wonder too Kurt you know as you kind of see that pivot and shift
From sharing your story like kind of being unwilling to do that but then building your own fraternity in that first meeting you know sharing your story or before the first meeting inviting guys talk to me a little bit about that of like how did the guys
Respond to that and how did that impact them and I’m I’m thinking about you know all the men who are watching this of who might just like be a little hesitant to share you know what they were struggling with the sins that they’ve had the challenges the distractions that they’ve
Had but then they’ve started to find that freedom in Christ through Exodus um talk to me a little bit about that and your experience in that transition period yeah I mean it’s interesting I mean when I think of a of a good leader I mean somebody that I respect and say oh I
Want to be like him I mean it’s not somebody that is showing off their perfection every day and that they know how to do everything the best at all times you know whenever it’s when somebody is willing to share something that makes them vulnerable right shows
That they are not perfect that they have had maybe something in their past or a struggle um that they’ve had to overcome that you know really can connect with other men and and that can they can identify with other men can identify with and so you know if a guy uh you
Know my fraternity or some sort of leader in an organization whatever it may be shares a struggle people identify with that right um because we all struggle with different things right big or small and so I’ve you know once I was willing to share which was none other
Than the strength of the Holy Spirit I was able to connect with more men and since then you know really starting off a meeting is hey guys my name’s Kurt and you know I’ve been transformed by Exodus it’s just total Game Changer but at the same time this is why I was transformed
Because I struggled with this habitual sin of pornography right I struggled with these things and you know even this year just kind of the second year of doing it and going to talk to other parishes and other men in the community it’s not uncommon to find men that
Struggle with that right and so um that type of thing starting off especially the beginning of exus January 1’s right around the corner if you’re a leader um or if you’re just in a group if you want to really kind of uh Kindle um uh a sharing environment of guys just kind of
You know I don’t want to say coming clean but just sharing their struggles so they can grow so they can we can get hurdles out of the way so they can grow in their relationship with Christ especially if you’re that leader share those struggles that you’ve had because
There’s none other than starting that and everybody’s saying oh we can we can talk about that right because you think about the culture nobody wants to talk about pornography or some of these other sins you know that we struggle with because you know they’re viewed as bad
Or or maybe nobody wants to talk about them because they’re embarrassed but the more that we’re able to talk about it the more we canow grow and let Christ transform us yeah amen yeah and I think that’s just such a a a beautiful thing for right it’s building it’s a building
Trust it’s letting our guards down and really kind of bringing those things to light right it does two things right like the Lord wants us to bring those to light so he can heal them you know within us but then also yeah it’s just that giving permission that you just
Mentioned to the guys in your fraternity hey it’s okay to talk about this um it you know in a certain sense it is it is we are ashamed of that and it is it is embarrassing to a certain degree but if we if we just keep it to ourselves
That’s actually what the enemy wants right that’s part of Oppression that’s part of the tactic you know um to keep it to myself uh versus bring it to light so that the Lord can bring about healing and I can just walk with my brothers who are likely struggling with it or have
Struggled with it at some point in time because of our culture that we’ve lived in in the past you know 40 years I would say but more prevalent in the past 20 to 30 so it’s beautiful advice Kurt and um thanks thanks for yeah just giving us
That witness and encouragement to the to all the men who are watching this as well okay I one one last thing we have a ton to get to I would talk to you all day you know that we talk frequently but um what what I think advice do you have
For any man who’s watching right now or who will watch this here in the next several days who might be on the fence about starting January 1 what advice would you give to him oh well I think uh you know in the in the video I kind of alluded to why not
Like what what is is there a good enough reason not to do it and you know I think there is a fear um for me at least I can speak to I knew that there was something very significant wrong in my life that I need to fix and maybe for others it may
Not be as a parent um uh and also a lot of us you know kind of have a you know a fear of kind of maybe letting go and letting you know God lead us right versus kind of maybe our wants and desires and I know exactly what that
Feels like um but I what I would say is that there is nothing more freeing than not being in control and by not be control God is in control right and so letting him lead letting him guide you and letting him be the one to make the the kind of the difficult
Decisions and all the things that are happening in your life I mean because we have nobody else to trust than him right I mean that and so I would just say it is from every man that I have spoken to and I can go face by face in my
Fraternity and other men that I’ve have talked to and they will all say wow like I’m so glad that I participated in Exodus 90 I am so glad that I did this really hard thing because now that I’ve done this hard thing and I’ve let the
Lord lead me through that he’s the one that really got me through that I I I can virtually do anything right and I can have the strength to live a true life of Holiness and we’re called to be Saints we’re called to be holy and if you really want to live out that
Vocation if you really want to live the Christian Life you know to the the fullest extent Exodus 90 is the best road map I’ve ever come across to do that and I can and I know I’m not speaking by myself there are so many other men that would vouch for that it
Is that road map to freedom and the greatest joy in your life that you will you will ever achieve right and ultimately it’s through Christ but Exodus 90 is that road map so if you’re watching today go check it out it’s a few days away it’ll be hard but you know
When you do hard things those provide the greatest fruit right I played Sports all my life like when you train really hard for something and then you win that Championship right like the the feeling is like oh man like that was that was awesome right because you know of all
The work that you put in well that’s the Christian Life you know that’s the Christian life so yeah yeah it’s the grace that the Lord wants to give us but it’s also the our response to that what are we going to do you know uh to open ourselves up to receive that Grace
Within that so yeah takes takes hard work um within it intentionality and it takes Brothers you know around you good good people around you to help you along the way so Kurt I’m great f for your friendship and uh our budding friendship even though we’re what like 2,000 miles
Away uh that’s the beauty of technology is that we get to connect frequently so I’m so grateful for you for your witness to me and my life and to the men here so thanks for your time congrats on that baby and um thanks for joining us today
Thank you Nick and thank you to all the guys at Exodus you guys are great really appreciate it all right thanks brother we’ll talk soon byebye awesome uh all right Brothers well next we’re going to bring on on our very own teammate D and director of content Dr Jared
Stout hey Jared hey Nick I wish I could say that I’m a new father but I’m not I have six kids my youngest is seven but I do have a new house and a new stage of my family’s life is unfolding as we’re moving out to the land so it’s also a
Joyous moment for us as well yeah I mean that’s a lot of change you know um not not just a new house but also moving across the country in the process of building a house living in something temporary to get to something permanent so it’s a lot so yeah I’m excited Exodus
Getting out of the big city moving to the land for a new life of freedom I love it I love it um well welcome and we’re grateful to have you here and it’s been such a joy honestly to to have you on the team um here at
Exodus this past year and uh you know you’ve created just an incredible year of spiritual formation for men throughout all of 2023 with Kings of Summer St Michael’s lent our most recent Advent exercise and now Christmas you know these kind of eight days that we’ve
Got right now um tell tell us you know what can we expect in regards to the N Exodus 90 Reflections that is new this year for 2024 well it’s a big moment because we think back to the whole history of Exodus this is the first time that we have New Reflections for Exodus
90 and I’m really happy with how they came together because For the First time we’re not only reading the book of Exodus we’re we’re doing the book of Exodus up to the beginning of Lent and so we’re still going through that same story because that is really a model
That has lasted for all of time that God wants to free each one of us from slavery he wants to teach us what it means to be a son of the father through that experience of the freedom that he brings but Moses begins The Exodus and it’s Joshua who completes it because
Joshua is the one who brings the Israelites into the freedom of the promised land god broke them out of this slavery to Pharaoh but for what it was for a different life and it wasn’t wandering through the desert right that wasn’t it that was a little sojourn out
There as they learned obedience but it was to live in the land in a way that is free and the Sabbath actually was the sign of that freedom because what were they doing in slavery in Egypt they they were working in drudgery under pharaoh and now that they come into the to the
Promised land the Sabbath is a sign that you are living for something more than that there is something more important than work than pleasure than anything else even on the land and it is our relationship with God yeah and so the land secures that as a place almost like
A sanctuary for God’s people uh but even that wasn’t enough the actual ual completion of The Exodus comes in the Pascal mystery of Jesus’s death and Resurrection um and Jesus’s name actually is Joshua that’s the Hebrew version of it right and Jesus is the Greek so literally Jesus is the new
Joshua who is completing the Exodus of freedom for us right because the Exodus you know happened all those thousands of years ago in Egypt and that becomes a model but in Jesus it’s more than a model Jesus says okay I’m going to do the same thing I’m going to do an exodus
And St Luke says that um in his account of the Transfiguration he calls and this is when he’s talking actually to Moses and Elijah his own passion his Exodus right and so Jesus literally is doing the exodus by going down to Jerusalem to die for us to become the new Passover
Lamb and that opens up the Exodus for us even person because he did it for us and we’re able to enter into that and so Jesus is the new Moses who is leading this Exodus and even the new lawgiver he gives us a new commandment at the Last
Supper to love one another as he has loved us he’s the new Joshua who defeats and conquers our enemies and brings us into freedom and so we are able to follow the story of The Exodus to its completion this year in these three major stages so coming out of Egypt um
And then securing the freedom in the battles uh for the promised land right because we have to do our part God gives us the freedom but we have to fight for it to secure it yeah and then the final completion as Jesus conquers the devil and all of our spiritual enemies
Completing the work of The Exodus amen that’s so beautiful so if I’m hearing you’re right we’re going to read through the book of Exodus through the to to basically to Lent M and then during Lent we’re going to read through the Book of Joshua to that completion of entering
The promised land and securing the promised land and then the last two weeks of Lent this is the traditional time of passion tide that’s where we’re going to move over to Matthew’s gospel right so we have three different uh books that we’re looking at over the 90 days beautiful beautiful I love that
Okay so let’s say an exodus man out there starts Exodus 90 on January 1st but realizes one or two weeks in that friends of his would benefit from Exodus and joining him will they feel will those guys that he invites and they say they say yes well they feel like they’re
Missing out on Reflections at that point a couple weeks in or or maybe even a month in at that point you know because we have these three different books you know that guys are going to be able to enter into right we’re going to have some guys coming in
For Lent other guys may be coming in for passion tide we wrote all of the reflections so that they could stand alone so if you’re joining you know in the the second week the third week fourth week any week right you’re going to be able to come in and you’re going to enter
Into the reflections and they do not depend upon having read the prior ones so we designed them so that guys will not feel lost no matter when they are joining so yes please invite guys in um because anywhere along this trajectory right of the 90 days guys are going to
Be able to come in and immediately benefit from the reflections yeah amen I love that that’s beautiful and and it’s new like you said at the beginning this is kind of our first time ever in you know adding uh any other books during the 90day journey so I think it’s
Beautiful from from that kind of thematic all the way through and then into passion tide really kind of helping us to finish out the 90 leading into Holy Week and uh into Easter uh we just also we just launched audio recordings of the daily reflections this pasture just in time
For St Michael’s lent and that’s been you know one of the most requested features on the exus app for a long time so it was a huge accomplishment by our team great work Doyle and and Brock for that but now we’re introducing for the first time in Exodus 90 a spiritual
Guide with Father bonfice Hicks some you know myself and other guys are asking what exactly is a spiritual guide well father bonfice said that he would love it if he could actually do oneon-one spiritual direction for all of our Exodus men I mean wouldn’t that be amazing that’s not possible right so uh
The spiritual guide I mean it’s it’s like he’s our spiritual director as a group right so that’s the main difference and unfortunately we can’t do that one-on-one mentorship but father bonfice is walking alongside of us he is accompanying us on this journey as a kind of spiritual father and so he knows
You know what we’re going to be reading each week and he’s going to be unpacking that in a very personal way and you know he’s a benedic and Monk and so he said you know I I live Exodus every day right you know my my life is
Based in prayer um asceticism you know because monks fast and and other things and then you know fraternity of course right within the monastery it’s a it’s an intense community so he is living the life of Exodus uh every day and so he’s able to give us a lot of pointers this
Is how you make a holy hour and you can actually find something he wrote about that on our blog um at Exodus 90.com blog so you can find that there how to make a holy hour uh with father bonfice but uh he’s going to
Give us tips on you know what to do if you get discouraged or you get you get off track you know how are you gonna get back on track he knows right you know because he sees the whole dynamics of the monastic life and and even all of
The the Layman that he has mentored in given spiritual direction to right he knows how you know this goes with with a attempting to live a life of prayer and trying to keep things up uh in the long term and he’s going to give us a lot of
Guidance he also you know at the end of our Fall exercise battles in Autumn he wrote something about fraternity um called The Art of accompaniment and it was really unpacking how we can support one another uh as men in our fraternities and we’re actually repackaging that as a Content series
That you’re going to be able to find in the app um but he’s going to be unpacking that material even further uh for us uh throughout the 90 days helping us to really support one another as we’re getting vulnerable with one another as we we’re helping each other
To grow and to support one another so he has a lot of wisdom to give us uh in these areas now beyond that even though we can’t do one-on-one spiritual Direction uh you’re going to be able to ask him questions right so as you open
Up the app and and you click on this uh spiritual Guide Series these conversations that I’m having with him um there’s going to be a form in the app that you can type in feedback you can ask him questions and when we do our weekly video right these are going to be
Done at the beginning of each week we’re going to be able to speak directly into those questions and comments amazing okay so just for a quick recap on that spiritual guide is like spiritual Direction but for a group not individual so to accompany us throughout the 90 days Journey so this is layered
Additional kind of content beyond the readings and Reflections that we’re getting every day that that are happening once a week and and conversations you’re having with them that men will access right in the app that they’ll be able to watch and listen to these conversations is that right and
They’ll be able to contribute right through the form so that their particular questions can be answered yeah I love that it could be something like you know father I’m really struggling with this you know like everything’s going well but this one thing is is is really getting me down do
You have any advice to help me to overcome this particular problem you know you can ask him very particular questions like that yeah yeah yeah so men it as you’re going through it ask the question because if it’s on your mind it’s a ton of other men are
Probably experiencing the same thing and uh you know sometimes I just remember as a student back in the day in the class like like man should I ask this question it might seem like a dumb question and uh you know then finally I’d raise my
Hand and you know ask it and 10 other people 10 other students would be like I had the same question it’s like was anybody gonna raise their hand so just an encouragement to use the form fill it out and allow father bonfice to to speak into that for your own personal benefit
But for the for for the benefit of the many um that might be experiencing the same thing and every time I talk to him I just walk away and I’m wow you know by what he has to say and you know just through all my interactions with him I
Just feel really lifted up and I know our men are going to feel the same way yeah love that um last thing before we uh uh jump to the next thing Jared is um of of all that you have put together for the 90 um what’s the one thing you’re most excited
About I would say that these conversations with Father bonfice uh have me really excited because as I mentioned every time I’m interacting with him I just walk away so enriched and I think this is going to add a lot to the experience right and as we know Exodus 90 is a deep experience
Of transformation and it’s rooted ultimately in prayer um and that prayer is supported by our asceticism right it really gives power like Jesus said you know there a certain demons that can only be cast out through prayer and fasting um and then you know that prayer and a asceticism is supported by our
Brothers in fraternity that that all works together but to have someone who has so much much experience in all three of those aspects accompanying us walking alongside of us answering our questions I think it just adds so much to this experience that you know we’re not doing
This alone you know and that we have a spiritual father doing this with us I think it’s just so encouraging um and and I’m I’m really excited about it yeah beautiful I love that um when speaking of Father bonfice Hicks uh you know we have he was so gracious um to you know
He’s going to record those conversations he wrote part of that um you know accompaniment piece the leadership piece for us but he also recorded a video for us um and a short message for you all to share with the men that you know so let’s take a look right now are you feeling
Stuck are you feeling a need for something new in your life to start out in a new direction for 2024 do you need an exodus are you caught up in social media and excessive use and the hamster wheel of repeated behaviors that you’re trying to break bad habits is it affecting your
Relationships your personal peace and satisfaction fulfillment are you thriving the Israelites needed an exodus they were held down by pharaoh and God wanted them to be be free we too have our modern-day pharaohs that hold us down and God wants us to be free my name is father bonfice and I’m a Benedictine
Monk this is my home welcome to a place of Freedom peace Sanctuary that was founded ultimately by St Benedict 1500 years ago St Benedict needed Freedom he needed an exodus held down by the decadence of Rome he fled to subo Italy and lived in a cave for 3 years that cave could be
Symbolized by the basket and the cross the basket is a sign of fraternal friendship fraternal support a monk named Romanus sacrificed some of his own bread every day and brought it to St Benedict in a basket the cross is the way of Christ St Benedict through his daily prayer and
Estheticism learned the way of Christ endured the hardships faced himself his own demons his own idols and was able to overcome them in a way that empowered him to come forth and lead other men to Freedom through monastic life over the last 1500 years the rule of St Benedict
Has been Leading Men to Freedom this January 1st things could be different for you you could start this new year in a new way with an exodus I’ll be your spiritual guide and we’ll have weekly conversations about prayer and asceticism fraternal support and the Israelites Journey out of
Egypt will it be hard it’ll be hard will you get discouraged at times or feel like a failure if you don’t live it perfectly maybe but it’s not about that it’s not about living a perfect life it’s about being introduced to the perfect man Jesus Christ Exodus 90 provides the tools and the
Road map for setting out in a New Direction a way of prayer a way of self-denial and most importantly A brotherhood men to make this journey with so my question for you is is this your year maybe for some of you the timing isn’t right but for the rest of
You what are the obstacles are they real obstacles or are they just Temptations our culture doesn’t want you to have an exodus the modern-day pharaohs don’t want you to have an exodus they want to hold you down our culture wants to isolate you have you trapped in consumerism and
Self-indulgence but God wants you to be free God wants you to be a saint God wants you to be like a Saint Benedict Exodus 90 provides a path for you to grow deeper in your relationship with God to grow more confident in who you are as a man
Of God and to grow in friendships with brothers who are making the same journey I hope you’ll join me this January 1st make this year the best one of your life so Far Such a great video and message from father bonfice and I want to thank Jared for uh being here with us to to answer a few questions and just uh to let you all know he’ll be back at the end we’re going to have a a Q&A ask us anything as
We get towards the end here and he’ll come back and join me and be able to ask uh you can ask him any questions that you have for him as well one other thing I want to mention uh to everybody is if you’re if you’re trying to get your
Fraternity set up and you feel called to lead this year we’re excited to announce our new online platform for Fraternity leaders Mount Si all you have to do is go to Exodus 90.com leers to check it out and there’s going to be a you can watch A Brief nine-part
Video training series on being the the best leader you can be for your fraternity that’s Exodus 90.com leers for a quick we want to give you a little quick preview and overview of what that is so let’s watch a quick video so for what you can
Expect it is not difficult to become a saint when Yan tyranowski first heard those words he was sitting in a pew at Mass it was during that Sunday homy that his life changed forever and so did the church he began to study the lives of
The Saints and St John of the cross in particular he learned how to integrate a life of prayer and asceticism into a small fraternity by Leading a group of men at his local Parish he witnessed to these men that they too could become saints that it wasn’t so difficult to do
They prayed together studied scripture and grew in Friendship eventually two of the men were ordained priests and and one of them Carol became who you know better as Pope John Paul II yon died shortly after John Paul II was ordained to the priesthood but was in the
Cathedral in kakow that day to see his friend begin the adventure of a lifetime both the other priest and John Paul II admitted they would never have considered the priesthood were it not for the witness Yan played in their young adult lives it was all because Yan
Knew the call to sainthood wasn’t simply a personal Venture it was one that required sharing his Joy with everyone around him and investing in a few just like the Lord witnessed to us can you imagine our world today without John Paul II can you imagine where the church
Would be it’s not so difficult to become a saint Yan turnowski believed that John Paul II believed it do you do you believe it do you believe you’re called to lead are you willing to follow the witness of yan tyranowski and bring men around you closer to the Lord are you
Willing to overcome your own insecurities and let the Lord through your weaknesses to bring more freedom to the men he’s put on your heart you might not have a future Pope in your fraternity but you could have future Saints first you have to take this question to prayer and am I called to
Lead if the answer you here is yes you have an opportunity coming up to lead an exodus 90 fraternity this January and see how the Lord transforms the men you invite and how he transforms you as well we’ll help you get prepared at Exodus 90.com leers with a short series on fraternity
Leadership as well as dozens of promotional tools you can use to help spread the word do not be for you brother sainthood is not that Difficult love it all right Brothers well I hope you check that out Exodus 90.com leers for the fraternity leader training just guides to help you give you some confidence give you some practical tips they’re short and and they’re Sweet N about 90 seconds each uh to just give
You a little bit of that insight and and knowledge and confidence to go and lead your brothers through the 90day Journey all right we’re gonna go to our uh our next guest and you may have seen our new commercial and explainer video the escape room on YouTube or one of our
Other social media channels we’re we’re now GNA welcome one of the creators of that video an exodus man from Gettysburg Maryland Billy Phillips Billy you there I am here hello hey brother how you doing doing well thanks for having me you bet it’s great to see you man it’s
Uh I think when did I see you last in uh in July in California yep that’s right well it’s good to see you virtually and and thanks for being here with us you did an incredible job on the video uh it was so fun uh to watch tell me uh what
Inspired the vision behind a retro explainer video like this in something sort of sitcom like yeah so I mean I’d say uh most of it was born out of conversation with your guys team there our team and your team working together uh just to kind of put some life into
This thing and I’d say probably an uncommon Freedom requires an uncommon presentation you know uh so I I think a lot of it too A lot of the benefits of that platform it’s something that’s unexpected um the the the Retro sitcom uh container really for for storytelling for communication uh it allows really
Quickly to get down to the root of what is exus who’s it for how does it work all while kind of voicing these common uh common objections or maybe common misconceptions about what Exodus is and really just opening it up and making it fun I think that the use of a laugh
Track can also allow you to be a little bit hamfisted in some of the the communication it’s like okay you here’s what it’s about here’s who it’s for and then you just throw that laugh behind it and it just makes it so much more digestible and fun um and we were able
To to cram just about every that we wanted to into into that short piece yeah I mean there’s a ton in there and it’s it’s only I think it’s four and a half minutes some somewhere right around in there um man it was so well done the uh and also there’s you know
These little kind of short Snippets as well that that were created to to address you know kind of some other different questions as well which were just so well done so you guys crushed it thanks thanks so much for all your effort on that one thing that really
Jumped out to me um was the fraternity you know kind of piece that was emphasized within within the video itself and you know obviously there’s intentionality behind all of this effort why was it important to you to emphasize that fraternity aspect with the casting in the
Video yeah so I mean I think for us we wanted to communicate just how Exodus is for every man I mean there’s there’s not somebody who can go into it and come away empty-handed so we wanted to as much as we could with these four guys that we had in this video showcase
Different backgrounds maybe different preferences different communication Styles between those guys too we have a really quiet guy in it we have a more outgoing guy who thinks he’s just gonna go into it and everything’s going to be easy for him so we tried to as much as
We could show by by way of example who it’s for um and each of us too within that they these These Guys in this video and and then in all of our own fraternities people come into it with their own strengths and weaknesses their own backgrounds and so much of what
Makes Exodus special is that there there really is that opportunity for iron sharpens iron and all of the men coming together and and building on each other’s strengths we had a guy in our fraternity last year who had been taking cold showers for years just because he
Thought he like he liked the benefit he liked the you know the physical mental benefit of of doing it and so we were all coming in and we’re like oh you know it’s gonna be tough and he’s given us tips and tricks and he’s like yeah it’s
Great here do do it this way do it that way and just that kind of interaction in a is so important it’s so much of what makes uh makes those 90 days possible being able to lean on each other and so we wanted to represent that in the video
Yeah I love it and you know as you just alluded to you know kind of your own experience you know and the cold showers you know and a guy who was giving you tips and advice on that I’m curious how did your your own experience you know going through the 90 with your
Fraternity Inspire the script in the production yeah I have to give credit to our creative team especially our our execu I creative director Gary and uh our script writer Jason Bach uh the two of them really put their heads together and and drafted something that was going
To be um I I think representative of a lot of men’s experience in in going through the fraternity it’s a lot of it is tongue and cheek a lot of it is you these these sort of Jabs at you know the the cold showers or the no sweets or no
Alcohol like all those things it’s all in there and packaging it in a way that’s just really fun and so coming coming to it as someone who had been through Exodus and thinking about what would I want to see going into it what is the because you
Always hear a lot of things about how challenging it is how difficult it is but there’s also so much joy in it and there’s a lot of fun in it too and it’s it’s something that if you take it with the right attitude um the guys around
You will really rally behind you and and to help make that experience rich and um just really satisfying yeah yeah amen I love that so much and it was you I could see that and even even towards the end right you had all those Jabs but then at the end of
The video there’s there’s a bit of that kind of that serious moment too of like the guy has the realization and you know he really just you know leans into it so such a great a great mix of of all the elements um within the video so for all
The guys you know who who are watching this you know right now or who will watch this what would you say to the guy watching right now who doesn’t know if he’s ready for Exodus 90 oh well I I guess I say two things I mean one of
Them is uh any guy who’s watching this I think is probably ready maybe that’s a little bold to say but if you’re on here watching an exodus live stream you’ve got it in you you have the strength to do this thing and to jump in and get
Your feet wet here i’ say that the the other piece of it is I don’t know if anybody’s ever fully fully ready or at least they think that they are so much of it is just making that that leap uh just that commitment and saying okay I’m
Going to do it I’m going to see what is possible for me and test yourself and I think that so many people that come into it Come Away with just a newfound um just a self-respect an understanding of Their Own Strength of the men around them and just the
Brotherhood there and I think that there’s maybe half of it is found in the experience itself getting ready to get in there and then just kind of at a certain point saying I don’t know I don’t know if I’m ready but I’m going to give it a shot and failing and failing
Alongside your brothers and getting back up and trying again and that encouragement and coming in some weeks and doing your meetings and saying look I this week I I didn’t do so great and everybody else saying you know maybe I didn’t either but like let’s get back up
And let’s do it again so I think that that’s my encouragement there is that so much of it is found in the experience and I think from the outside there’s only so much that you can know about oh am I ready or am I not and just getting
In and doing it is going to prove to you that you are amen I don’t think I could say that any better myself so well well said Billy all right well I’m so grateful for your time and the work that you’ve done and the partnership and working with us
Um producing that and many other of the short little videos that we have from you guys as well but we’re gonna actually watch the video but I I want you to intro the video and um and then for everybody else we’ll we’ll be back with with Jamie Baxter right after that
So Billy thanks so much I’ll let you introduce and then we’ll be back absolutely absolutely well I just want to say uh first off thank you guys so much for trusting us with this uh for trusting our vision letting us have fun with it for working alongside us so much
Of this video is a collaborative effort between the Exodus team and the coordination team and there’s just so much there um that I have to say to our team just as far as Thanks goes and then as far as the Exodus team goes too it’s it’s one of those Partnerships that
We’re just so grateful for so this whole thing was a lot of fun um one of the more fun pieces that we’ve done probably in the last year so and so I I hope you guys enjoy it that you get a kick out of it and that inspires You hey guys thanks for coming over on such short notice you kidding me you say you turned your house into an escape room of course we’re going to want to see this so uh where is it you’re in it what it’s a spiritual escape room like a
Haunted house no no I mean like I found a way out guys yeah I think we’re about to do the same come on oh hear me out I’m talking about Exodus 90 we’re all trapped in our ways we do things we don’t want to do like being here and we say things we
Don’t mean to say we’re distracted sorry fantasy football stuff and we make a lot of excuses EX Exodus is the escape what is going on here our Escape Plan has three pillars prayer fraternity and aestheticism what ISM aestheticism this looks crazy let’s start with prayer
1 hour a day at least 20 minutes in Silence with God and read a daily reflection on the Exodus app Exodus 90 starts with one book of the Bible in particular any guesses which one oh ex oh what’s the next 0th book of the Bible are you kidding it starts with the book
Of Exodus my man that’s the 90th that can’t be right just like God led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt he will lead us into New Freedom it’s a prayer thing that’s just pillar number one the next is fraternity we meet once a week fraternity believe me we can’t do this
Alone Exodus 90 is tough It’s a frat pillar number three is aestheticism you keep saying that like I’m supposed to know what that means well let me give you a few examples you’ll do regular intense exercise no alcohol allowed no sugar no soda no sweets I’m sorry what’s that no eating between
Meals at all no watching sports no TV no movies well we could at least listen to music only music that lifts your soul up to God so like Creed maybe let’s talk that through later how long do we keep this up until Easter so 90 days get it feels like you’re selling
Me something then you just pulling stuff away it’s not about giving things up it’s about making room for what’s most important so God can help us Escape so far 100,000 men have escaped and nearly all of them said they experienced New Freedom and the majority report having a
Better relationship with their wife and their kids I don’t have a wife a Exodus is for anyone man we all need Freedom pull up start Exodus 90.com the app has all the readings and meditations you can check off your progress and talk directly with your fraternity wait cold showers every
Day Freedom this doesn’t sound like a fun frat no no Mark is right it’s so easy to be distracted even addicted to things that trap us Minds ringing with digital noise bodies salved with the Comforts of contemporary decadence scripture tells us that the Lord speaks in a still Small
Voice and exodus helps you create a space where you can really listen perhaps for the first time so yes we could continue to numb ourselves with food drink and entertainment or we could pause and allow Christ to take our hand and to walk us through the door of true Freedom I’m in
Yes also you owe us a trip to a real escape room yeah I gosh incredible job Billy and the coronation team Jamie what did you think about that oh gosh I mean they did pack a lot into four and a half minutes I mean all of the uh the es and flows the questions uh objections concerns about
Exodus but uh you know I think they did a wonderful job of um making it accessible and approachable you know Exodus guys are super normal um regular guys just like just like everybody on the stream and um you know we all experience the same questions and
Concerns and I just think they did a wonderful job of making it approachable for everybody yeah Amen to that so guys be sure to head over to our YouTube channel today and forward that video copy the link send it um to all the guys you want to join you for Exodus 90 this
Year I uh had my father-in-law send it to uh to some of his guys it’s going to be his first Exodus uh this year and he’s like how do I you know what do I send guys you know to invite them I’m like well send them this video and send
Them the father bonifus video so um so go check it out share it with guys it’s the easiest way to introduce what Exodus 90 is and obviously it’s it’s fun it’s funny and it’s entertaining at the same time so H go check that out guys and we
Already welcomed you Jamie to the live stream but I didn’t officially welcome you so officially Welcome to the live stream it’s great to have you here hey thanks Nick yeah you’re crushing it and this is uh yeah super fun and uh such an exciting way to um yeah launch launch
Exodus January 1 2024 yeah amen it’s h feels a little um last year we got to do this together in person side by side so it feels a little different this year but gosh it’s so fun to pull in all these other elements into into the live
Stream for the guys and um I think I said earlier about Kurt but the beauty of Technology right it helps us be together and to connect with men all over the world if you’ve been watching the chat at all right there’s guys from all over the place who are who are
Joining us and watching us so um such an honor I’m always humbled by that and such a joy so thanks for thanks for being here the uh this is now the eighth year of Exodus and so much has changed in just eight years uh that you well
Know not everybody else you know knows that um and and all the change but even just in the past eight months with so many updates to the to the app in particular particular and I’m I’m just really curious you know from from your experience and what you’ve uh kind of
Seen especially in these past eight months of all the updates to the app what are you most excited about right now yeah that’s a super hard question uh I’ll avoid it at the start of my answer and then maybe get to it um you know it’s it’s anybody you
Know that runs a small business or you know starts something at at the parish or you know or what what whatever it is you’re working on you always know that it can be better and it’s never quite where you want it to be um I talked to a
Lot of Founders um that have you know a similar experience of like it’s good it could be better I’m a little embarrassed I’m always a little embarrassed because you’re always three four five years ahead you know where you are in the present and I have felt that way for a
Long time and this year when I’m asked like hey how’s it going how are you feeling you know uh I’ve been saying the same thing you know and it’s deeply true I’m just so proud of the work that’s gone in all year long you know by by everybody on
Our team to make um this Exodus what it’s about to be um we’ve been saying like new year new Exodus and it’s it’s really true you know and so much blood sweat tears passion energy consistent effort on it um has just happened you know and at the end of the day it’s not
So much about just the work it’s about ultimately uh each of you here on this stream you know we wake up every single day deeply passionate to try to serve you better and we don’t look at kind of our work at Exodus as competing against anything in the world or anything in the
Church it’s like we’re competing against ourselves to serve you as best we possibly can to help you become uncommonly free you know for your vocation wherever the Lord is calling you to love and that’s what that’s what gets us up in the morning that’s what excites us and um I can honestly say
Like when I just reflect on the year and how much has changed how much has improved uh I’m pretty I’m stunned honestly and um I can honestly say I’m just so proud you know of the work that’s that’s gone into the year a couple shout outs are in order I want to
Give a shout out to Brock you know he’s our lead engineer he’s been with us for a year now I just his his energy has just been absolutely incredible you know we God God sent us a huge blessing in in him you know but also Jared you know
Jared was was here earlier but just the the transformation and our content experiences not just for the 90 this year but really every day of the year which we’ll get into later is so exciting you know I feel like we’re doing the best we’ve ever done you know
At serving the spiritual formation and ongoing freedom of our men um this year in those couple of way yeah love that so you you did do a good job of avoiding answering the actual question do you do you have a favorite or do you have you know a couple that
You’re just like I know you said you’re proud of all of them but is there one that that stands out for you well we’re going to get into the community feature and I you know I think at the yeah it just came together for us uh just a
Couple weeks ago um but I’m most excited you know about what that is even in its first version um I’m more so excited about it will what what it will become uh you know over the coming year yeah amen awesome well audio Reflections I mentioned earlier uh in the Stream
They’ve been they’ve been a Hu huge hit I would say since they launched for St Michael’s L this year and what I’d love to know for you are and I’ve never asked you this surprisingly but are you a guy that prefers reading the reflections listening both at the same time or do
You go back and forth depending on the day and and maybe where you’re at as well gosh that’s a good it’s a good question so my morning routine is to to wake up at about 6:30 so I’m not super early um but I try to get up before
Before the kids are up and and uh I just go downstairs and I have as much silent time as uh I need or as I get before my son Joseph wakes up um so that’s typically when you know I’ll take a look at um the reflection for the day and uh
You know I just I am so grateful that God brought us together with with Jonah who is uh the voice behind Exodus he’s a an orthodox man a man of the Orthodox Faith he’s a farmer uh in in Iowa and a a man of just profound depth in
Spirituality and um you know I I just think that his you know his craft is on beautiful display in our work at Exodus and he’s been a perfect voice for us so all that’s to say I I didn’t think I was going to be you know one of the audio
Guys um to be honest with you and I am you know that’s that’s typically how it will go now if something really sticks out to me I’ll bookmark the reflection I’ll go back to it um you know later on um when I make it over to to the church
For for for prayer time but um I typically begin the morning with with the audio reflection I I thought I wouldn’t be an an audio guy at all because I just I kind of love that silent reading but it’s just it’s just really elevated honestly for me you know and I I’ll
Listen and then um oftentimes I’ll also read just follow along or or do both you know it just sort of depends on where I’m at obviously if I’m in the church or I’m in adoration I’m not playing the audio at that point in time but I might
Listen to it later um and and so you mentioned earlier you know about your favorite or favorite or the thing that you’re excited about on the on the app and it’s the community tab which is brand new within the last two weeks uh and so if if you’re if you’re here and
You haven’t seen that in the app yet go check it out uh we’ll talk a little bit about it here but Jamie what was the inspiration behind um behind the feature to build it at all well it’s ultimately to serve the number one issue that guys have that
Kind of keeps them from an exodus experience and that’s the problem of fraternity it’s like hey I’m interested in this and hey I’ve even responded you know to Grace to invite guys they say no you know or something like that um I don’t have anyone to do this with can
You help um two years ago we launched our our remote fraternity finder um there’s been a number of amazing Graces and blessings that have come from that feature uh it’s only used by one or two percent of our guys you know so it’s it’s not super common and I’m okay with
That you know obviously you mentioned this earlier but our priority will always be in person and local you know um that’s one of the beautiful things about Exodus is that it’s often made up of your friends guys you know and um now it’s possible to even help you find guys
Who are looking for something similar but you do not know them yet so if you just go over to the community tab you know you can um share your location uh and then from there we will surface um collections of fraternities or communities is what we’re calling them
Of Exodus men near you those are typically in Catholic parishes but not exclusively at all and um if there’s not a community in your area you can um create one and become a community leader which has a couple of responsibilities that that you’re asked to undertake um
It’s been but it’s been amazingly well received only a couple couple weeks over 200 uh communities are are formed there’s a parish in Texas St an’s I believe right Nick that’s right s an yeah has uh 120 uh men that are a part of the community which is super cool and uh so
Now it’s like guys who don’t know other Exodus guys can just search their location and all of the sudden be connected uh with other ex Exodus men and get paired into groups which is super exciting and we’ll be working on all kinds of features to elevate that
Over the coming year um right now what’s listed is a simple fir side that’s a that’s the the group chat for the community and then also um a directory so you’ll see the the names of um all the guys that have opted into the local
Community yeah I I love it for you know all those reasons and and you know the connectivity right the the local aspect of it and finding men you know nearby and I think there’s you know just just two kind of really quick things that I’ve really experienced myself and one
Was last year in my own Parish here in Indianapolis there were there was not like a formal like Hey we’re doing Exodus at the parish it just kind of organically started happening men started form fraternities I knew about three of the fraternities that had formed but then throughout the 90 I
Found out that there were two other fraternities in my Parish yeah that that were do in the 90 as well and and the thought like what I kept thinking is like man if only we would have known that you know U we could have you know done something together you know during
The 90 like a hike you know a hike together that we planned or a day of reflection or you know day of like there’s just all kinds of things you could do if you’re just connected to to guys locally in that in that sense so it’s been great this year we’ve we’ve
Added that it’s there guys are joining at our own parish and then there are guys who are just joining who we who we didn’t even know um who were just interested and they they they didn’t they don’t know any body and so they’re just jumping in to the community Tab and
There and then we can start connecting guys you know looking for a fraternity as well so I think it’s just such a beautiful um way to help connect guys together and then and then the one other thing I was just thinking about as you were talking was you mentioned it but um
There’s two gentlemen Gustav I think and uh Rickard who were in um who are in Sweden guys start a fraternity you guys are in the same city and you didn’t you didn’t know each other of course but but start community and help other men find you and I think that’s that’s the beauty
Of this yeah one of my prayers for Exodus for many years even from the first years was that in some sense it would be a bridge between what I perceive as this real divide between the church and the world that is deeply secular and um sad and we
Should fight that and um we are fighting that and I want Exodus to be that bridge between guys that are just floating and are not don’t have fraternity and don’t have Community are not a part of of of churches you know and it’s my deep hope
That um you know Exodus can now serve as a bridge and as we continue to invest um in marketing Exodus as broadly as possible um even with secular figures that it seems like what what are they doing there what’s happening there well it’s like hey men are there you know and we’re
Gonna go get them however we need to go get them and we hope that the community feature becomes a bridge between um folks that are isolated and alone to their local Faith Community yeah love it hey when it comes to pray preparing for for the 90 for Exodus 90 are there any
Traditions that you have or things that you do leading up to the start date to just prepare mentally or physically yeah it’s a great question I um for for me to be honest with you as you know Nick it’s uh these are huge moments we call it Go
Time this year we started to call it go uh Code Orange uh is what we call where it’s just like all hands on deck um available for for whatever comes our way whatever challenge or opportunity presents itself in these moments that will help us to reach more men um so
Admittedly I crave the start of Exodus I crave The Silence of that those first couple weeks and for me uh specifically as a generally more interior and quiet you know and somewhat introverted person um I just I love you know going offline and uh the first few weeks of Exodus are
Are that opportunity so um you know I wouldn’t say that that’s a pro tip at all I do have a couple other Pro tips but it’s just it’s so it’s just so full life is so full in these months or in in these moments uh you know anticipating
The start and um I find myself just craving craving day one but I think more practically it’s like hey you know what’s cool this year is you know the app is there to help you it’s it’s so today it’s December 27th you know it’s a feast of St John
Such a powerful Saint and figure in our church and you know Jared and the team have just done a masterful job of leading us through the Christmas octave and the Christmas season while also stair stepping us into Exodus you know which starts on the 1 um and I just
Think that’s so powerful right and so I have just found myself um really blessed by just following along you know and entering um into the the path that that we’ve been working to create for for everybody and so I just welcome you in you know don’t just wait till the first
You know you hear this you listen to it you know jump in experience a Christmas octave and experience a a new emphasis on on freedom you know which is always oriented to love you know and to becoming for married men better husbands and fathers for single men uh preparing
For for fatherhood and you know serving and loving our local communi as well yeah love it and what do you say to a guy who’s ready to take it on but you know maybe just doesn’t know how to or doesn’t feel comfortable or is a little bit tentative to invite anyone to join
Him I mean you know this can be an odd thing to ask someone to do with you uh can’t it can be an intimidating you know list of things that they might see so what do you say to that guy what encouragement can you give him about inviting
Men yeah I’d say you know a couple things I mean first it’s um you know if this is your year you know go for it you know and I love Bill’s advice earlier I thought that was perfect we didn’t we didn’t prep him on that either there um
You know but it’s just like the when we survey guys like hey why’ you come to Exodus this year um the number one reason that is listed is God called me to Exodus and when we first got that back I was just like what you know like
That is so powerful that’s so profound and and so I just start start with prayer you know it’s like hey like just just spend that time with the Lord you know um you know Exodus is very much it’s not about um you know starting perfectly and ending perfectly you know
It’s really nothing about that but it’s really about um making progress starting setting a standard that’s tough that that calls you beyond yourself and one of those aspects in the journey the most important aspect of that journey is is prayer you know and so it’s like you
Don’t have a prayer routine that’s great all right great join the club very few people do you know and and we’re here to help you with that um but I but I would even consider like before that’s even there like don’t be afraid to ask very very simple questions of the Lord you
Know um we talk about it in Exodus but the Lord is a person he speaks he moves he inspires and um you know just ask you know and if he’s he’s inviting you in this year um say yes and then I would as it relates to invitation it’s you know
Say no for no one is something that you know we’ve we say and we deeply believe um Exodus is not for perfect Catholic or Christian men um it’s it’s for the man that God places on your heart to invite so I just encourage enage you to to to
To follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit invite invite those guys and you will be shocked by the the kinds of people that say Yes um there’s so many stories of like I was just afraid to invite this person or I you know he’s just he’s just not into the faith thing
Or it it is shocking Who Says Yes um I think there’s a lot of reasons for that but I would just encourage you not to Discount the Holy Spirit um you know and then it’s like hey you know if you’ve exhausted every effort um you know we
Can help you know we can help in a new way this year with the features that we’ve talked about already yeah 2024 is being dubbed The Uncommon year here at Exodus and I don’t know how well known that actually is so you might be hearing this for the first time guys um
That we’re we’re talking about 2024 as The Uncommon year and it was mentioned earlier about finding uncommon freedom but but Jamie tell us what’s behind that phrase and what can what can we all expect from Exodus that is uncommon this this next year I’d love to just chat about the
Origin of uncommon and you know for those of that have been with us for years now which is deeply humbling and fills me with gratitude thank you you know for being with us and journeying with us and seeing all of our Evolutions Through The Years um you will notice
This this emphasis on uncommon and The Uncommon Freedom um that we’re called into as sons of God the origin of that actually came from a retreat that a couple of our core team members um in the ministry and the company took uh in the spring where we just really did a
Lot of soul searching and had a lot of Silence to just Reas like why why are why did God create Exodus you know um what are we seeking what’s the vision that he has for us and um what we ultimately discerned in our our purpose uh which I’ve written about um at length
On the site if you go to Exodus 90.com for the first time this year there’s literally a tab like hey why do we exist you know you can check this out but but ultimately what we discerned was we were existed by God to um for men to be uncommonly
Free and um what that means is that you know it’s common it’s normal it’s regular to be bound by sin slaveries and struggles you know that that is normal um so many of the distractions that we face some of which are unique to our time um that that’s normal you know uh
And we all and we all do too it’s it’s not like I’m here or Nick is here like hey come follow us like we’re the free guys it’s like no it’s like we’re on the path with you it’s like we all have our pharaohs we all have our Idols um and we
Are all seeking to respond more Faithfully to Jesus Christ and um ultimately though what’s uncommon is the freedom that Christ just I mean so wonderfully and the most beautiful story ever told one for us in fulfilling The Exodus as Jared you know mentioned and you know shared so powerfully earlier and um you
Know that’s what’s uncommon like what’s uncommon today is is a free man you know and a free man’s not a perfect man a free man does know who he is as a son as a son of the father who’s been called forth by God for love and to share his
Love with those he’s entrusted uh uniquely to their care our wives you know our wife our children you know local communities um you know and so where does uncommon come from it’s like hey what’s uncommon today is men who are free and at Exodus that’s what we exist
To do and those are the men that we exist to serve um you know those guys on the path towards uncommon Freedom as it relates to how we’ve applied that through the year um if you’ve been following with us over the last year you well know now that it’s not a 90-day
Thing like we don’t look at it like do this 90-day thing and you’re it’s a Magic Bullet and you’re free and you never have to worry about anything again um all of those things are stereotypes and kind of straw man basically of of the actual work you know that we’re
About and the spiritual and human formation of men you know for our time and so when we talk about the uncommon year what we mean is going through the Exodus going through Joshua going through the gospels um coming into this profound encounter and in the biblical stories and then applying that for every
Day the rest of the year and it looks differently at times we fast at other times we Feast you know and that’s you know the cross leads to life you know Exodus isn’t cement to just be about doing hard things all the time you know proving anything to anybody that’s just
Not not not what it’s for um it’s more so about um coming into contact with the the great Mysteries um you know of reality you know that are revealed perfectly in the face of Jesus and so um if you follow along with the app it’s it’s there for you on Easter Sunday it’s
There for you today you know you know it’s there for you when you’re when you’re ready for it and um it’s our It’s Our Hope and it’s our goal to become you know and and really serve the spiritual formation of the men of our time and those men that are called into Exodus
Yeah love that such a good answer and thanks for writing it out for the men too on the website so men as he said you can go to the website and you can read a little bit more about that as well if you’re more Curious uh we’re going to bring back
Jared now and Jamie thanks so much for all the Insight uh but we want to move into ask us anything uh some Q&A we um we want to be able to answer those questions that you have that might be super common but you may not know the
Answer to so go ahead and drop them in the chat and uh we’ll pull them up we’ve got several questions lined up already uh but if you got something to ask type it in the chat and we’ll get and we’ll get to as many as we can all right
Question number one that I think this one’s pretty common now that you mention it I wish I could have a printed copy of the reflections so that I could avoid my phone at all during my prayer time so maybe there’s kind of two parts here I
Would say question one is you know a printed version has that you know obviously we’ve had one in the past we thought about it for the future and then I think the part two one is you know for many many guys most of the guys all the
Guys right now are using their phone using their app how do I use that in prayer how how can I best especially if like one of the things is like trying to just remove you know unnecessary screen time so I think that’s a two-part question yeah for sure it’s a great
Question and it’s a common question um a couple thoughts we don’t have books this year actually um and we’ve just invested all of our time effort and energy into making the app the best that it can be um I would say kind of taking a step back it’s you know there’s there’s lots
Of like kind of anti-tech motions and movements today um and a lot of it it’s oriented towards like big Tech which is at the fundamental compromise of the people that use those platforms um but I actually think that like deeper down there’s so many small Tech movements
Which like Exodus where it’s guys like you building our app with you in mind it’s like everything you put onto our apps encrypted you know we don’t sell it in any way that’s just not how we make money or what funds our our company um
You know and so I would just say that I actually think that some of those things are worth parsing out a little bit more fully uh we’ll be doing some of that more publicly over the coming year but um you know I’d say the other element to
This too is you know Exodus is not about just turning off you know your digital life entirely uh the vast majority of Exodus men I would say 90% of them have to use the internet for their work life um and so my point here is like you need
To learn and build up a habit of using technology in a way that’s as a tool um and you can do that in a couple of ways and that’s different for everybody uh certainly Exodus can help facilitate that you know but just to give you a couple examples it’s like literally when
I started Exodus I realized like hey man social media is just way too fenetic for me I don’t have time to react to all these comments and criticisms or whatever and it actually isn’t leading me into a deeper contemplative life so I just turned it off haven’t been there
Haven’t been back don’t miss it don’t even think about it I forget about it a lot of the time uh and that’s a personal decision that I made that I know was very different you know from how you know other guys on our teams have have chosen to make those decisions you know
But I would say the other thing is like at the end of like very practically it’s uh you can read the reflection you can listen to the reflection you do that it’s meant to just simply support the beginning of your conversation with god in the morning you know um Exodus is
Definitely not created to become a distraction um everything is built from a design system standpoint as a closed system uh if you get bored and lost on The Exodus app I don’t even know how you’re doing that actually it’s it’s meant to be very focused uh in what it
Is doing and to be very limited even in terms of its features um and so that’s that’s my encouragement ultimately um and for me to just be somewhat aspirational it’s like I just don’t see a future five 10 years out where there’s no more screens and uh I just I don’t
Love the habit of Mind in Christians which is I’m just going to turn this off and and be gone some people can great uh the vast majority of lame men that’s just simply not the case and I I think we need to do well a good job of
Building up good habits and um being disciplined um and everything in our lives but assuredly our technology use as well great answer love it all right Marduk says how did CH how do we choose the discipline to relax on Sundays so let’s let’s start that one and then
We’ll get to the second half so how you know any advice on how to choose which discipline to relax on Sundays or which ones not to relax there’s a little bit of history in this Jared so I’ll jump in and you can make my answer better okay um so in the
Past like in the in the a couple years ago we would say hey choose one discipline as a fraternity and just do that we got some feedback pretty quickly especially with fraternities with guys at just different stages of life that different relaxations meant different things for different guys so for example
One of my Pro tips for for married men uh like all of us you know Nick Jared me what’s a discipline my wife would like me to relax during Exodus you know is it watch a show with her is it have a glass of wine you know what you know she’ll
Love that and I’m I bet you she’ll have an opinion too um and so that’d be that’d be a pro tip there but I would just say we’ve kind of moved away from the idea that that that relaxation is kind of chosen by the fraternity for everyone and it’s more personal just
Like hey what what what would be best you know kind of for me um but you should communicate openly about that you know and kind of kind of why you’re doing that I would also just say like hey like if there are sins and struggles you’re really trying to get away from
And some of these disciplines help you to really remove those triggers into bad behaviors um whether that’s online or with alcohol or whatever it is maybe don’t relax those you know and really let this be a period of you know extended reset you know for your brain
You know and you know for you but Jared what what else would you add to that well I think I would also say that you know if you’re not married the same idea might apply not that you’re allowing your wife to choose which one you relax
But which is going to help me to connect to other people and to really be able to celebrate the Lord’s day so think of it more as the positive celebration of the day rather than just doing the thing that I want to do that day yeah that’s a great intentional yeah
Uh purpose behind what to relax on that so I love that all right the second half of this is okay a brand new got all bunch of new guys in fraternity everybody’s new they don’t know each other how do you designate any advice on how to designate
Anchors it’s a great question um one of the things actually my brother invented that we borrowed and I really like is bring your own anchor so you know it can make forming a fraternity a bit easier to have at least one person that you know so whether that’s a friend from the
Past or you know whatever bring bring your own anchor to the fraternity can make kind of make that that decision easier um you know I for for me with everything it’s I never let the perfect be the enemy of the good and so it’s just like who’s the guy you’re going to
Check in with you know and and is that someone that works with you or is closer to you in proximity um closer in stage of life you know you know who’s the anchor you know as a leader like who are the anchors that you think will actually
You know follow through on the daily check-in and you know just by way of reminder it’s you know during an exodus uh 90 fraternity you commit to meeting once a week um with your fraternity and you commit to checking in once a day with your anchor and that check-in
Doesn’t need to be super long um if your brother’s in need you know maybe checks off the the day is read and says I’m not doing great give him a call help him out be a good anchor and it’ll be a good one for you um but those are just a couple
Kind of kind of practical advices there but um yeah it’s all I got it’s great love it all right Alex asks do you see a conflict between the fasting and abstinence in the in the Exodus 90 program and feasting during the Christmas season and on Sundays I’m
Doing my first Exodus on January 1st I’m curious about that well first Al uh welcome uh welcome to your first Exodus we’re excited to have you Journey with us and tens of thousands of men around the world but guys this is a actually a common question and one I think Jared
You actually just wrote wrote about recently so I think unpacking that a little bit would be would be incredible Jared I’ll throw toss it to you first yeah well first of all we don’t fast if it’s a solemn Feast Day right so Exodus 90 starts on a Monday and we fast on
Wednesdays and Fridays so we we’re not starting with with fasting on January 1st um and there are days such as the presentation February 2nd that is a Friday right so we’re lifting the fasting um for that day now beyond the the solemn feast days and their celebration there is a long
History of even having abstinence from meat on Sundays so during Lent the tradition until recently was always to abstain from all animal products not even just meat on every single day of Lent including Sundays the only thing that was lifted on Sundays was fasting until dinner um so there is a history of
That St Francis of aisi for instance even began St Michael’s lent and his fast on the Feast of the Assumption um so we’re actually looking at it from this perspective that the octave day of the Nativity which is the circumcision of Our Lord the first day
In which he shed blood for us that this is a great day to start Exodus 90 uh because it characterizes the whole search for Freedom that Christ came for us to die for our freedom so the Incarnation actually is what’s going to launch us into this 90day journey to
Easter so there’s something very fitting about that you know really book ending you know Christmas uh all the way to Easter I just jump in and say Alex that this wasn’t always the case like we weren’t incorporating the you know solemnities and and and big Feasts uh in
The early days and that was really a bandwidth issue but this is also one of the ways as a as a team we’ve learned you know this was feedback I got in 2018 when um you know the same Exodus started on January 1 I was like gosh that is
Really good like that is really good feedback we can be better in this regard and that’s something we’ve worked towards very intentionally uh over the over the past year and you’ll experience that in full this year um you know starting on on the first really even
Starting in the days leading up to the first uh you you’ll see that in a new way and I would just say for guys that are very intentionally following the lurgical calendar huge affirmation to you I think what’s important is to take a step back and to realize that that is
True I mean if we were to take a look at the percentage of active Catholic men that were doing that it probably rounds to like zero or 1% so you know I think it’s also important for for us to remember that Exodus is you know touching men much more Broad ly than um
The very engaged guys and we’re doing the best that we can do to again be this bridge back to the church and and also to introduce men into the Eternal and Cosmic and beautiful cycle of the liturgical calendar um very intentionally awesome got some great questions coming in colen asks can I
Listen to podcasts and audiobooks so it’s a yeah good question um um you know because and there’s there’s a number of them that come up that it’s like oh gosh you know it’s like this this is reading this is good good content you know with a lot of
These like very specific questions um you know part of me is just like hey you know it’s like there there’s a spirit here of Silence that we’re trying to cultivate uh Cardinal sra’s book The Power of Silence talks about how you know silence is obviously completely at
Odds with the freneticism and noise of our time and silence is also the foundation of a real prayer life and and the contemplative life you know God is in the silence that is where he speaks um and it takes effort and work and it is Cardinal SAS says it is always brutal
To make the journey into silence when you are used to being so numb by noise so for me when I look at this question it’s it’s um I would just say like okay hey like is this facilitating you know a greater recollection on a natural and a
Supernatural level for me um or is this just me numbing things because I’m afraid of Silent time um I think we would all say that we could be more silent for me even I this past Advent I was feeling this this the way like this was the big part of my aesthetic
Experience over Advent this year was really limiting you know the noise especially at work and in my commutes to work um you know and uh you never regret you know kind of building up um your capacity for silence and I would also just say like for fathers Young Fathers like it is just
Astonishing how children are like they they they that they are born in silence and so much of their life is in silence and for me I found that very convicting personally just like I have a capacity to be still I see it in my kids I need to grow back
Into that and um I just make that encouragement it’s you’re never going to regret that and um well I’m not going to say no to this in every instance and obviously there’s good audiobooks It’s Just Books in audio form I just say like hey is this increasing my capacity for
Silence or is just a distraction beautiful Christopher as a fraternity leader says what are the best things I can do for my men to encourage them Jared yeah well I I would say as a as a brother we want to be careful about you know like shaming anybody like if
They’re not fully kind of living up to to what we’re all aspiring to do but just to really be empathetic and and encourage guys just to keep going you know hey if if you’ve gotten off of you know our disciplines or prayer for a few
Days or a week it’s just get back on there it’s okay just be really positive and really encouraging just checking in with guys um really trying to build a relationship up with them but I think all of it is just helping to focus on doing this together in a very positive
Way yeah this will be a topic uh I’m sure we’ll cover with father bonfice in our ongoing series on on accompaniment you know and so um you know I’m sure we’ll sure sure we’ll approach that uh you know within that setting Jared I’d also just say you know um yeah you know
I just just just lead by example as simple as that sounds it’s actually so rare um and just be just be honest you know um you know the first weeks of an exus fraternity especially if it’s new guys who don’t know each other they can
Be a little awkward of course it is you know um there’s very few I mean if not zero places that exist for men to just be actually honest um about the struggles we all face today and um Exodus attorneys are not places to to show off or act like you have it
Together it’s the absolute opposite of that and and um I think as a leader it’s just best to model that you know U what you want to see in your guys you know show them you know and and I assure you they’ll Step Up love that Matt says we’ve got about
14 to 15 guys committed from our Parish well done Matt way to go what’s the best way to structure group meetings for this size we’re trying to balance fostering the fraternity and encouraging participation yeah Matt we see different things things um you know and so I wouldn’t say there’s a you know one-
Siiz fits-all here you know if your pastor is involved um which would be which would be awesome you know and ideal it’s like perhaps you can give like a spiritual conference you know on a Saturday or whenever you’re choosing to meet then you can break out from
There um to meet as as groups um but I would definitely not recommend you know having a meeting with 15 guys it would just take too long the fraternity meetings are meent to be real for sure but not meant to be exhausting or long
Um and so you know I would break down a group of 15 probably into three groups um and ultimately that just facilitates the just the greatest honesty um you know for the experience yeah the one other thing I would say breaking down to three groups
Also um well one it just gives time and space but additionally just gives you opportunity to invite a couple guys along the way too Matt so as as we talked about earlier right you might get a couple weeks in and some guys in the parish are like oh man should I do it
And you’re like yeah come and do it and they can just Join one of those fraternities you know of fiveish guys at that point time and just starts to bring you know again new energy and New Life um to guys along the journey on the on
The on the 90 days so just a recommendation one thing I’d add actually that I forgot is new this year this is another new thing we haven’t talked about yet is that every single week we’ll have a custom crafted meeting guide for you that includes a number of things but announcements from us
Upcoming feast days that we’ll be celebrating together throughout Exodus um and then also just like even highlights from from the scriptures and um you know things like that so that’s new this year we’re really excited about it we hope that that helps um you know structure your meetings in a in an
Effective way um undoubtedly the most important time is the time in which we can all you know speak up and share where we really are you know one of the things that I I’ve thought really deeply about over the last couple of years is how fraternity meetings just talking
About how challenging Exodus is or even talking about aestheticism in general are super shallow it’s like Exodus is not about just doing hard things um aestheticism is a means to love you know uh which is the greatest commandment and so really you know we want those fraternities to be places where you can
Be honest be real share share where you’re really at what’s really going on um not to overshare you know but also not to lie you know and um that’s our hope that you can strike that balance awesome great question Wilson just asked one of the problems I had
During the 90 and 2023 is that I fasted from sweets which is obviously one of the disciplines but after Exodus because I missed him so much uh let over indulgence for 2023 for 2024 how can I keep the momentum of self-discipline uh even coming out of
Exodus 90 right so we come out from this P int kind of more intense and intentional time of fasting uh total kind of from complete absence actually from a lot of these things and then going into Easter right there there can be of you know do I reintroduce
Everything right away if so how you know what’s the diff is there a difference between what’s feasting and celebration versus binging talk a little bit about that um I don’t know if Jared you want to start first and then we’ll over sure sure yeah um I think it’s it’s one of
The reasons that we started you know with a new Easter exercise last year uh because we are going from fasting not to binging but to Celebration and we want to be very intentional about that you know that um having you know even a few drinks you
Know at the right moment to celebrate a feast day is an important thing right but but even there you know making sure that it’s still moderate in the sense not going to excess and that it’s with other people that you’re you’re really celebrating something together but as part of the Easter exercise we
Rolled out something called a plan of life and I think that that would be really important so let’s say for instance on Easter Sunday or even in the Octave of Easter you say you know I’m going to go back to eating sweets but then once we get out of the the Easter
Octave in my plan of life I’m going to say this is how I’m going to regulate eating sweets you know and so you you’re actually putting up your own discipline here to say I will not eat more than one site a day you know or I will not have sweets more
Than three times a week and you’re putting that up there and you’re still able to check in with your anchor you’re able to meet with your fraternity and you can really keep things going it’s it’s we’re not trying to make Exodus 90 last all the year but we are trying to
Continue to grow we’re trying to preserve our freedom um and we think that you know we’re really striking the right balance um in these exercises that follow the 90 days yeah and I just say there that we this is a place we’ll continue to focus in the future from from an app development
Standpoint is um making it even easier to build you know a personal plan of life after the 90 you know so that you can live a sustained um life growing in virtue you know and encountering the mysteries of our faith so um we do that in part you can already do that
Admittedly it’s a bit manual you know um but that is possible um you know but to the root of the question it’s obviously um yeah it’s not a 90-day Marathon or Sprint you know and then you just do whatever you want that’s uh very at odds with the fundamental spirit and vision
Of of what uh Exodus is and what it’s for awesome all right let’s Define fasting and abstinence because sometimes guys AR 100% sure on the clarity of that and really how to lean into it fasting is abstinence from food I mean so literally I mean like traditional Christian fasting throughout
Most of the church’s history would be having only one meal a day in the evening right and that’s how lent began um and then over time there’s something called a collation or a snack just kind of added in especially for those who were working right just
Sustain them during the day but you know as we say that these cations these snacks should not two of them shouldn’t equal a full meal right but so really you’re you’re eating one full meal and the the cations are there you know if you need them to help you get through
That’s how the church ordered things in her wisdom the kind of the language we use today is I think even a translation problem I don’t think that’s really what it means to eat three meals right you eat one meal and then you know there is some food to help you through if you’re
Working hard right to get through the day but fasting means you’re not eating that’s what it means uh abstinence means you’re abstaining from something and so we talk about abstinence it means abstaining from meat and that is uh has always been the default kind of penance
That the church does every Friday of the year uh but you can abstain from many things right and so a lot of times people hear abstinence they might think of we’re talking about abstinence um from sexuality or something like that but you know in in our context it means
Abstaining from eating meat um in in relation that Friday Penance awesome guys this has been incredible we are gosh it’s almost been two hours over an hour and 45 minutes already and uh so BR brother well first Jamie and Jared thanks so much for for being here for offering your your wisdom
Your experience your expertise on this and uh for everything that that’s to come here in 2024 an uncommon year for uncommon freedom for uncommon men in this world so so grateful for you guys and and everything that you do and it’s a joy and honor to work alongside of you
For all those um you bet yeah for all for all the rest of you guys um you know out there we’re we’re gonna wrap this up and there’s just a couple things that uh I want to share with you first and foremost know that our entire team has
Been is and will continue praying and fasting for you and your fraternity as you start Exodus 90 here in a few days on January 1 the something that’s you know new this year is is that Exodus 90 has been translated into nine languages for 2024 including French and Italian
Which is brand new so um if you know somebody or if you are one of those guys go to global. Exodus 90.com to check out the languages we have available and forward to your friends in Europe uh and then lastly you can’t do it alone we’ve talked about this we
Talked about one of the pillars fraternity so take some time to pray and really ask the Lord to inspire you with men you know who would benefit from an exodus in this new year who are those men then pray and fast for them here in these coming days and personally call
Them and ask them to join you for this uncommon Year I’ll I’ll never you know forget about um Matthew 9:37 where Jesus says to his disciples the Harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few pray therefore that the Lord lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into his Harvest and guys we’re
The laborers so let’s have the courage uh to go and ask the Lord and to respond to that to go invite and to go invite those men might take a little bit of Courage but as was said earlier don’t say no for any man if he comes to mind
Go ask him all right Brothers thanks so much God bless you and uh we’re we’re here to support you at any point in time let’s close with a prayer name of the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit amen all glory be to the father and to
The son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be World Without End Amen St John the Evangelist pray for us name of the father and the son and the holy spirit amen all Brothers we’ll see you around
