The Renegade when afraid man in the wilderness yeah today know we call a special toall meeting the place things so um By the Fantastic L now we have them you know eat some breakfast and kind of things swim and S sit sit so you know in a few
Minutes having breakfast see Mar soon come in and think this a special town hall meeting now a letter released yesterday and it fethers buts we one person from UK you know okay and you know I tell them the action what we take what we take so you
Know but you know have somebody stamp on it and whatever so you know the person from in UK say you know don’t do this because you know recognize say the corruption and everything but you know look investment but what not understand understand up stop a lot of investment
From come to Jamaica have a lot of have lands more than much much much stop him money stop him next inv stop it the backing have have the the incredible five on the phone right now because incredible yeah good morning man in the wilderness how are you Maria Andy yes good morning good
Morning good morning yes this is the start of something fantastic I mean it’s full a background credential you you know when we talk so five journalism that deal with and with other things to I work with the identify the yeah yeah work with the and and and of credential the
Hill yeah I think it l you want to explain that for me you want explain I did renew my um credentials um for Capital Hill but yes um I had my credentials um for Capital Hill and used to cover up on the hill um covered um Clinton’s first
Inauguration and other events upon the hill but no I have not renewed my Capital Hill credential but yes you’re correct okay and that you want renewing that soon to because but anyway still have the hill so we keep a meeting the other day plus we have other journalist and like
Impossible so recognize the real power with them Jamaica change it’s simple so we have a meeting last week last week we have the meeting yes and carrying other journalist and where work when that journalist work some of the some of the papers Sputnik um Sputnik Washington Times Informer and a slow of other
Papers can’t remember them off the top of my head but um he has a vast array of Articles written and published all over good not only in the US but also what they said the Virgin Islands as well so I mean we have people who are credible
And people who are serious and will do their jobs without fear or intimidation all right so so these are the things no because remember is a is a force a move you know is a force a move so like when rert or something make no sense you understand yeah rert is not
The only one behind this you know might only something stop it t the diasp people sayp keep lot music big time so you find out hundreds of thousands of people in the diaspora correspond with me straight business and everything you understand so if we we move Canada we move Dip dat and everything so when we move people we are move people and we are do this you know so the people come out and say you know you know stopping you know do funds and you know detrimental to to Jamaica so we show that sign in and then mismatch that and
Tell them again and like put somebody the Prime Minister run up and then talk to Mar and people place keep them things and say yes remember most of the people in know them never see them before government control them people impossible impossible you understand and you can do this do for the see
So people am yeah invest put Place lose miss a good thing stop that Hey sister Maria greetings my brother greetings morning morning morning morning to everybody in the chat yeah yes how are you doing five on the phone okay fantastic five good morning fantastic five on the phone good morning
Mar good morning good morning back Moment Like This you know you have to come forward with some yes yes yes we understand um Maria um you have credential in a in a UK in a um New York Press with credential to to the legislation in New York right well yes
Yes so we show them what we are doing we reach to yes I’m registered with this the state of New York yes okay right yeah and and so we have people we reach people on theill we have people up this and all kind of so a r down me keep all
The other day and you know um you know fantastic forever give him a little r and credential and everything so like one person behind this and can stop something there is nothing to stop one thing stop is and corrupted government doing some corrupted things and take people like people said no you
Understand it not work hey Renegade R the rebel my brother good morning how are you get something system because Meo you know I did mine so yeah that have to hold me over for now oh everybody ready like Freddy fantastic five did you have breakfast already fantastic I sure did I I sure
Did and have my cup of tea awesome awesome so so we’re ready we’re ready to go exp people get nervous know and the government now and one person behind that you notice the letter the diaspora but the government might pick a in UK and by the way UK radio
Station music of people that’s much fun who you think know so when we come out and we say something for move it move Canada the same place keep show we have hundreds of thousands of people so you know we have thousands of people come out so we have people inpe Minister come
People 30 or 15 and to and say Yes dip you diaspora tell them the stop invest from Jamaica one come Place stop it something getun too much corruption and like at some coffe business people in the dip do have no standing and then the paper write it
Like you know do D diaspora because you know some people you look at one person and investment and and and and admit say um no thing right in Jamaica the crime and but if stop the Don fund it for Jamaica but think Jamaica Good Foot well Jamaica on a good foot Jamaica
Everybody know that everybody know that I mean you know but um let me just all right yeah what upen now with the man in England I don’t know the man in England yeah but he’s a Jamaican and like me said me care about all Jamaicans now whether support or not because we
Have a common Bond we have a Common Thread but when somebody wrong you have to call them out you know that’s part of being that’s part of the Brotherhood and and The Sisterhood that’s part of that’s a part of the fellowship when when when when when you’re Breen wrong you can’t you
Can’t you can’t be wrong and strong and can’t support you can’t defend the indefensible and the first thing him do will tell me that um the first thing him do tell me that um tell me that not really fully understand get because a deep wat we take shallow swimmer you know swimer and
We gone out a deep now we take deep and what do know send out them one and two um supporters now for come come come try swim with but swim with hold on one give me a quick second Yeah man so yes just to pick up just to picky back
Up what ran is saying you know they’re behaving as though when they talk about the diaspora you know just a group of people a select group of people you know that are concerned no it’s a wide cross-section of people and the issues that we’re talking about have to do with corruption
Crime and the lack of proper Social Services now when you look at corruption as you know they talk about donor funds and wanting Investments to come in Jamaica where is the transparency for the donor funds that you have already that have already been received where are the programs that they have been
Invested in how if if if Jamaica was working as they are saying why are so many young people un as you call them unattached youth why are so many of them unemployed underemployed why are so many of them involved in criminal activity and do not tell me about jobs and these
Are just call center jobs who wants their child to graduate from school and go and work in a call center that should not be all the jobs that are available the opportunities available for Jamaicans so we’re saying donor funds coming to the country to for specific purposes those purposes have not been
Realized yet those donor funds cannot be accounted for where are those where were those donor funds spent so I you know people need to understand that this is not about trying to tear down a government no this is holding a government accountable this is saying to the government you need to be more
Transparent you need to be more accountable to the Jamaican people because they’re afraid of speaking up because of fear of retaliation from you the same government that they elected to represent them to represent their interest so when we come out and talk it’s about addressing a systemic problem in Jamaica and that is
A corruption Jamaica has a serious corruption problem and if it is not addressed and if it’s allowed to continue as it is right now the country there will be no country so somebody has to stand up and say enough is enough somebody has to stand up and say
Show me what it is you’re doing for the Jamaican people because when they say unemployment is this down crime is no it’s not because the people are feeling it and because they are feeling it somebody has to come and defend the the people who have a voice but they are the
Voiceless so we have to give ends to their feelings we have to be the voice of reason for those people and say to the government you can better you have the potential to do better why are you not doing better why have you not done better when you look at crime you cannot
Address crime without addressing poverty poverty is the crooks of the problem in Jamaica as it relates to Crime will there can you wipe out crime altoe absolutely not however if one if poverty is addressed in a meaningful way then you can put a dent into the into the
Into the crime problem you can address the way why people are so violent and angry at each other so people are angry at each other because a Hungry Man is an angry man young people who are graduating from high school without any outlet they are
Angry so show them a pathway to a better Jamaica show them a pathway to a better um group of young people that can come and make meaningful contrib ions but you get all this money and you’re still asking for more investments in a country with a very
High crime rate that is not abating anytime soon and crime must not be politicized but when they started to politicize crime and blame one party for the crime going up up up up up and them taking credit for it going down down down that’s was the biggest mistake they
Made because crime does not affect only PNP and it doesn’t affect only jlp it affects Jamaicans and the the victims of criminal activity the victims of who have lost loved ones to violence and to criminal activity they are not PNP and JP they are Jamaicans and so we have to
Speak up for them and say come on it’s about time and whatever and we have to do so by whatever means necessary to get the government’s attention and to focus the government as Andrew H say you need to whole government accountable so to focus the government and say your
Strategy isn’t working it cannot be about getting money in and there are no result there’s there are no results because the young where the programs for the young people and that is what we’re saying but what them put in the letter today coming back when put a letter
Today is like the young man from UK I said if we do this it stop you know like the anat you them have Don funds to deal with them and prisoners and thing well let me just apologies Breen and sister apologize for that but what is that people are call me and complain
About some things are going in Jamaica we talk offline about that and no find it interesting I think but look up because Ste meong you know with that L up but here’s what happened now the gentleman in England one of the first things say the must be withdrawn now um name p
Name yes Pete no Nathaniel Pete Pete Pete all right yeah Nathaniel yes yeah Pete we don’t want to beat Pete but what we need to do is we need to make Pete understand certain things one of the things Pete is that once a letter has gone out once information has gone out
Through social media you cannot withdraw that and first of all we’re not withdrawing anything that’s the first thing and the second thing is even if we wanted to we cannot that’s the the similarity is when a man is charged for um supposal abuse and instead of um as
Soon as them get up on a stand them start ask him um when are you going to stop beating your wife that’s a loaded question because it assumes that he’s beating his wife right and then the judge turn around to the jury and said ladies and me ladies and and and and and
Gentlemen of the jury please ignore um well first of all there’s an objection and the judge the judge sustained the objection and then him said to the jury please ignore what the question and the answer now you can’t ignore that you can’t IGN that so we for
Pull back the letter the letter gone already everybody know what going and also one of the things him say which is quite interesting him said that really have no problems with the things complain let complain about said no that legitimate concern but says that no make we handle it our
Way make we handle it diplomatically and make we handle it this and Pete we’ve been trying to do that for the last eight years coming up on eight years and all we get is promises and we don’t see any better Pete because if you agree Pete that that diaspora members have no
Standing if you agree Pete that there’s Mass corruption if you agree Pete that there’s a there is no no lull in despite the amount of money that has been spent then how is it now that you feel that you going get business for invest in a Jamaica you think don’t know what going
You think so the idea is that businesses don’t know say there’s corruption in Jamaica businesses don’t know that there’s high crime rate business don’t know none of them things that Pete you need for before what what Pete did was a knee-jerk reaction and I’m not saying that him
Can’t express him views you know can express your views but think carefully before you express them things because what would happen is that people will rubbish you when you come out with statements like that people will rubbish you and you will be become marginalized in your community and by the way Pete
You are an elected representative I want to know how many people how many Jamaicans you have in England um the UK and how many actually voted I want I want to get a sense of that because if you tell me Pete that you have a 100,000 people just
For the sake of the conversation in England who eligible to vote and only you have you have a you have you have you have 100,000 people and only 400 voted then P have to understand that there’s a question about the majority and that’s the silent majority the one never voted and we represent
Them people so in the end we represent a bigger part of the population than you so you have to be very careful because you don’t want to be seen as if you’re representing the government because remember now it’s the diaspora all right you’re representing and we also have an we also have
Problems in know Pete the fact that your organization is being directed controlled by the government of Jamaica they tell you when they’re going to have meetings them talk about the the they pick people too in 2020 the minister Kamina Johnson Smith and and and the ministry of of uh uh foreign affairs and
Foreign trade they selected I forgot how much it was but 20 out of the 28 people they selected them never get elected in 2020 go back and look on the record so that is an organization that’s controlled by the government so the question now is when will you stand up
For our issues cuz Pete I’ve never seen you written anything about the crime rting know I’ve never seen you written anything about uh about poverty I’ve never seen you written anything about the illicit six and the ilicit 28 I’ve never heard you talk about the Integrity commission I’ve never heard you talk
About the prisons which you should because you’re in England and England was the country that offered to build the prison in Jamaica I’ve never heard you talk about education I’ve never heard you talk about health so why is it now you come on talk about this you know
So Pete here’s what I suggest to you you either with us or you with them that simple that simple and next thing I do masses of Jama Jama people under the bus for investment because recognize recognize the you know everything but if you stop it now want
To the prison and youth just want the investment the investment about the money not the lives of the people that really matter the sear and everything and stop nothing like that but investment by the way put that position so investment long time why is a letter drop you investment and I stop investment
Stop stop I will call one of my can buy and sell in a us and in in in in a in a Canada and and IM X am more than and up a place and listen next you know sh something 100,000 command over body music Fraternity in UK
Place so we right want AOW in UK we can get it like that can’t get it the first time ever name never mention before know who dip and and and move move we can put together anything you understand sometime you know you know sometim them account account so
Repetition who cares about damage them don’t damage it already the government don’t Mash you up so fix fix it and it can’t be that M get reflect Andre come out the day and say over 100 billion in a grand to nearly 400,000 400,000 cut it 100
Billion 250 um um, each not no go some people get $10,000 just a few and full the money chop so the mes and the poor people in Jamaica so the Don funds some people prison Fe by the way by the way some people go prison for these money you
Right about the Don funds where them yeah people family want to understand this that um technical assistance um loans and financial donations from from from established sources like like like countries and international organizations like un and so on and so forth all of those monies there’s a central no there’s a central
Point when it comes when it comes to Jamaica and that is the PJ the planning Institute of Jamaica they’re the ones who responsible for the money coming in and they’re responsible for the oversight now my understanding is that oversight is not done in a lot of instances and
One of the way them th the money is them set up consultancies and then them them build it towards administrative cost so if a program for get a dollar 70 to 80 cents out of the dollar go towards consultant Services only 20 cents go towards the the program so we reach out
To p and said give us all of the documentation regarding um regarding donor funds with ASM first from 2016 till now then write me back and them say we don’t have no such we don’t have no documents like that even though they are the ones responsible for for for for for
Providing the program um checking asking for the for the funding and oversight them say them have no documentation also what them do is them also do um them also do an annual report so the question then is how you do an annual report and you have no documentation
That makes no sense the annual report is there so we go back now give them a technical term now where we include everything now then WR back and say Well in 30 days but by law them have 30 days to respond and then if them can’t provide it with information then
Entitled to another 30 days so we on the second 30-day period now and we wait for see what come with because them it go hard for them explain where are this money go because we check out the money say the money spent somewhere we we have people on the
Ground we go and make sure say things spend and we know already but we talk to people we talk to people we know some of the things some of the things the money come in to take care of them things not take care of because like we said to you
Before a lot of the money gone in a administrative cost them call it which is how them Rob the money the way one of the ways them Rob the money so we are wait for see com but people if you want get a sense how much money Jamaica
Receive from 2016 just go to the website for p i OJ planning Institute of Jamaica and just check that out one man Terry long because some people write one man something don’t write like other people dip like a of people this make no sense yes that make no sense so this
What say people this say see there dip government diaspora Council you see it and easy with Advocate protest treat over corruption and crime so them right you see them headline like you know people so you know putp government dip Council and easy with Advocate protest threat over corruption and
Okay I letter sent marks Jamaica ambassador to the United stat by members of the dip giving notice of a Countrywide protest let me show them him go back to the headline let me see something all right stop right there now people look on the headline diaspora
Duel so that would have mean then is that is a is a there’s a clash between members of the diaspora right the their their factions within the diaspora now how government get involved in that look below that and say government invol government how government get involved in a diaspora business the
Diaspora have a fight between amongst themselves how the government get involved in that that ah how get involved in that because set it up and this man represent this Pete Pete you know what happened ask Pete people in England ask him who report to report to because guess what happen
IM have to report to the High Commissioner and and and and have to report to um you know who cheer at least in America you know who cheer the the global Jamaica diaspora council is the Deputy minister in know the Minister of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade him at the chair not the
Diaspora members no diaspora members him name terong yes yeah him the cheer for the global Jamaica diaspora Council in America right between me and Virginia my representative Michelle toil she her constituency is half a million Jamaicans half a million and I talked to her this morning
And tell her said we need to have a conversation because I want if represent half million or represent the government of Jama because call when when them call them call meetings you know and them can set agenda and all of that oh in fact guess what them can kick you off of the
Council even though the people in the diaspora elect you them can kick you off the government can kick you off of your own Council whatever hear such thing government talking listen so people all right so we to B Jamaica you live overseas you know you have different nationality but you’re
Part of the diasp right and M the who is the government put who milons of people Milli you yet something like this the government incine yes see you understand we this so you know when we do something can’t listen the it unbelievable you know so put somebody people
Want we keep treat we keep things keep show them over we have the come when move move in in us can UK call up in a room with 10 and people including government official and pick if you want ask a question like that that when
Come ask them now we ask the people we ask the people particularly the people in England who Pete represent please ask Pete for come upon the town hall meeting or Reason with ratigan and come and defend the article put out today about him tell him please come and talk to the diaspora
People the diasp right come and and defend that thing there we look forward to it you know because we we don’t know Pete but Peter Jamaican and why we respect him and and and we care about him and if Peter if Peter go down the wrong path we need to
Make him do a course correction and if and if Pete is truly a leader if Pete is truly honest will come on and will listen to the conversation and and and once him understand the reasoning confidence pull the letter pull back me interview from them no no no make a mistake you
Know all right this keep the second first we see this UK nobody know UK let me ask on the date look on the DAT give me the date second of December first year just now couple weeks all right all right something let me tell something right say that go go Regional
Inaugural Regional people know yeah 12 noon people know when the diaspora Global GI Global diaspora Council was formed know when it was formed it was formed at 2020 2020 it was F so IM R come three almost three years later actually come more than three years
Later but who listen to him we know this see all right so so y bless all my family in UK right now just call them straight dip radio station man tell the radio station tell Pete must come on the program if come now yeah but because me guarantee you know p
Out to the commission people find out first from people so the program England people UK people tell representative for come on the progam tell live now he must come on the program today can’t come Saturday reason with raatan and if can’t make Saturday can’t come Sunday upon town
Hall meeting and before between now and Saturday to Thursday if he want come tomorrow just make arrangement and Loans line it up do the live with him just tell him come yes fantastic five there are two words there the two operative words in that article corruption and crime now where are the articles
From the same Nathaniel Pete that addressed corruption and crime in Jamaica since he’s talking on behalf of the diaspora where are the anything any whether it’s YouTube we have social media YouTube where are his interviews addressing the issue problem of corruption and crime in the in Jamaica
That is what if he cannot point to those things because this is what we’re talking about corruption and crime and if he’s only concerned about the Investments this is then will be at the expense of the Jamaican people because they’re the ones tourists have better security than Jamaicans you know the
Tourists are very rare of tourists gets robbed so we would like for Jamaicans to have the same level of security that tourists have do they have that now no they do not so I would like to know from Pete where are his interviews addressing the government’s handling of corruption and
Crime where are his interviews asking for the names of the six who are under investigation they know who they are their name they know who they are it’s not just a few you know inin air they know who they are where is that where where are his meetings asking for that
And if he has nothing that we can go to any article that we can read any interview that we can watch and say yes he has been addressing these issues then I think asking somebody who is doing something about an issue to not do so is disingenuous because the problem is
Still there so if he has not been addressing the problems to the government openly you know he’s talking about doing so diplomatically what kind of rubbish is that diplomatically the Prime Minister was in Washington the other day did they did he face tough questions no he did not
He was only faced with a barrage of soft questions that played to his audience but he wasn’t asking tough questions as it relates to what was happening in the country so no we have a right to stand up and say no no no no no
No no you don’t get a pass on this you don’t get a pass this is eight years now and the corruption it’s not that corruption is not hasn’t been in Jamaica this is so blatant in your face nobody gives a damn kind of corruption and while they’re at it people are
Suffering suffering yes fantastic five fantastic five fantastic five oh sorry sorry yeah sorry sorry um you know you’re correct Maria because when they had um when the Prime Minister was here who did they invite they didn’t invite me and hundred more um Jamaicans to participate so when
They’re going to talk about um the Engage The diaspora what diaspora among themselves among the the Selected Few so I mean and I he heard raty mention that this guy I need to add to to your list ratti what about the folks who are displaced that they’re taking their
Lands to to to to and selling it to developers I don’t hear Pete talking about that I don’t talking about improving the prison system and putting in programs to assist these young men and women who are in prison because they can be rehabilitated I don’t hear talking about that
Fantastic yeah you know what here’s an here’s an issue that is near and dear to Jamaicans in the UK the wind Rush generation issue we not see where Fe where feti know all move you know you know over the people go Jamaican and the call um the police over there with dog
And set one people ah said the police come and set the dog call like the people disturb inama respon to the people so thisy she like you know keep belly milli people Jamaica find you understand people people in room invite 15 people meeting nobody in England know who this
Man is nobody have people England nobody know know know and I like concern about Jamaicans concern investment some investment look for that know you know another interesting point yeah interesting point is that the letter was drafted to whom it wasn’t drafted to the High Commissioner in England it was
Drafted to the the Jamaican ambassador to the United States yet we see no no no comment from nobody none of the representatives in the US yet we not see nothing them draw him all the way England right drap minut five hold on hold on a minute call
Invest right now tell me something you can’t hear me Jamaica day the other Day 20 and what you plan for do down there uming and the the to even so stop investment because no Believe show the government stop investment so invest we have inv to me stop them UK US can invest I stop him yes stop feel stop millions in
Ter up and risk them life not going to do is yes the thing is they going there to invest it would cost them a whole lot of money because they have to pay somebody under the table all right to get this permit get that permit get I
Know people who are building right now all right you remember you talk to me right all right remember remember fantastic to me Minister out of them Place expose never tell expose him in fantastic St Minister Min fantastic fantastic yeah Len corrup Minister see stop this man stop more stop investment already so
Yeah Maria what are they afraid of what are they afraid of they’re afraid of the information coming out that they’re so corrupt that they’re taking donor funds see what we have done is just spread a spotlight make it brighter because people know but now that we’re doing
This they’re even they’re shaking in the boots right now because they’re like Lord hear them talk every weekend but me never know so them do it you know so I mean why is Pete so afraid you acknowledge the fact that there is corruption so why you afraid Pete for us
To do this because now this is going to open this will open Pandora’s Box and they will now have to answer question what has happened to all the money that we have allocated for this week and this so we we need to continue We Can’t Stop
We can’t stop the fight um R Maria and way we have to continue and put the pressure on them and we want to show the people living in Jamaica that you know we are here for them but they have to also come out and start speaking up for themselves
We will back them but they have to get up and come and start speaking get my next again because we line now we have a Mee last week we have the meeting and and have the meeting with not journalist but a big journalist over 40 years and remember know Maria
And and and and fantastic five journalism too and remember she have the credential up on the hill up back so them know a lot of friends up on the hill and both Democrat and Republican right both Fant so everything understand and then from BBC and all these radio station and all these people live family and friends know name think salt May salt you know have salt salt something might nobody because the Govern people I right UK 100 people right if want more remember get respond over hundred
Hundreds of people thousands of people right cross America up anything so Mo pull the we pull people can’t wa keep keep not with us we’re not playing yes raty turn on the mic turn on the mic turn on the mic a couple people say that
The chat so that you touch up my friend can’t defend up defend up my friend but that people know Lo some get a whole information and when like we do what we do is that we sit down and we vet information before we put certain things
Out and sometimes we talk a lot but it’s only a fraction of we know we because come a time when we bu out the whole thing you know be complete if think shock the stuff here wait just wait so n that but me mar to go sit down and the
Rest of the team have to go sit down and go over where we want to release and when we want to release it and then um somebody make a good point here them say that Pete come from yeah Freedom so Pete come from a a live in a UK where them
Have rules and regulation so why wouldn’t he want the same thing for Jamaica why would he want to stain his name with corruption and that’s a good point I mean him should join we and say yes I agree with you know because what happen is that people we realize and everybody knows
This this is a public secret that talking to the government about changing its ways is not going to work we know that if you call the government and you say look need to clamp down upon corruption and this and that and that them tell you say yes we are in on one
Accord we agree with you blah blah blah and then you go back and look and say what them do nothing because you know why why some of them involved some of them involved you know and and we kind of we kind of glad said the letter to some degree said the
Letter wasn’t even drafted by me because some people it’s funny because some people label me as PNP some people label me as JP even though me never vote yet um never vote yet in a Jamaica um the other thing about it is that if them say
For the people who say that me a PP because never get the job I want to know this if was if it’s because we never get the job as police commissioner then me not like none of the two party them because the two of them turn me down the
PNP turn me down first and then the JP so the argument will no water say right people want family members say if that are the if that are the issue people tell you say well then get the job so that’s why I’m upset just tell them on
No no PNP turn him down and followed by thep so if like if like P if not like uh JP then certainly not like PNP neither yes people we love the people that’s what me love we love the country of Jamaica love the people of Jamaica and
So what we are do now is the the the PE strings are held by one party at this point in time until them change the Constitution and make it something different or whatever and that’s the government and it no matter who in charge we have to go off of them for the
For the for the for the in the interest of the people and so Pete or Mr Pete Mr Pete need to really come and join us by the way Mr Pete I hope you make a contribution to the one Jamaica legal defense Foundation I hope you do that
And if if you haven’t you you should have do it before you start put out things on the paper and you need for watch a program apparently don’t watch reason with raan and I’m disappointed and you don’t watch the town hall and loome and watch fantastic well if watch it I’m
Disappointed then because him should have really him shouldn’t put that in the letter and him should have really make the contribution so if you watch a program sir then I’m disappointed and if you didn’t watch your program I’m also disappointed but in any in in any event
It’s an open Period so you can actually make the donation to The One Jamaica leagal defense Foundation because the purpose of that is to is to is to help you doing what you say you’re doing which is to get get uh investment in Jamaica so we want to hold the
Government and clean up the corruption deal with the crime issue deal with the education issue deal with the health issue deal with the local government issue deal with the Foreign Affairs and foreign trade issue deal with go all of them issues there and then you can’t bring in bring in the investment because
Guess what environment will be ripe environment will be ripe people I tell you what you would have you would have you would have hands to deal with the amount of things where you have to deal with with people who want flood Jamaica with investment but as long as we have
These issues and Mr Pete you agreed you said that these issues are valid the issue where you can’t have you don’t have standing as a diaspora member the issue where the mass corruption the issue where CRI crime rate Nana so therefore you really shouldn’t make that statement in the newspaper and
Worse of all go call for the the the the letter to be withdrawn no and I think when you think about what you did just think about it and you know what Mr Pete I will give you the benefit of the doubt because sometimes you know when you talk to a
Journalist what you see in a print and know and know how you tell them so we can’t give the benefit of the doubt and maybe you never say way but put it there so want you do you come on the progam and tell thatan okay um um fantastic
Five Mar have the you read the I don’t have it in front of me it you article you mean the gleener article yeah yeah I can bring that up but something else I wanted to say um you know when I was listening to Raa and talk about some of the issues that need
To be ventilated but of all of the things three stand out one why has the Prime Minister yet to verify his stat statutary declarations going on three years two why has he not signed the code of conduct three his wife is putting up an 800 million project do these things concern
Pete if they concern him have has he has he voiced that concern in a way that represents the voice of the people so that we can see that he is in favor of good governance and transparency so those are questions I’d like for Mr Pete

You so this is a letter and this is an article in today’s Jamaica Gleaner you can get it online and the the headline is diaspora Duo and you have a picture of Nathaniel Pete who is a UK South Global Jamaica diaspora Council elected member then there’s a picture of Dr Francis and a
Picture of the minister of state and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and trade Alando terong okay so a letter sent to orre Marks Jamaica’s ambassador to the United States by members of the diaspora giving notic of a Countrywide protest has stirred on ease among Jamaica other Jamaicans domiciled overseas who believe
That its contents could harm the country’s reputation the undated letter outlines several concerns including the increasing state of public corruption the high level of violent crimes the government’s failure to provide promised Service delivery unfulfilled Promises to the diaspora regarding its involvement in the political process and the legal defense
That D that diaspora members do not have standing to sue the government it came above the signature of Dr Rupert Francis who was identified as chairman of the diaspora Jamaica diaspora crime intervention and prevention task force according to the retired Jamaica Defense Force Captain the letter was written on behalf of
Concerned Jamaicans living in Jamaica and the diaspora and is a call to action I wish to inform you and by extension the Jamaican government that the diaspora will engage Jamaica’s International Partners to seek redress of our grievances these International Partners will include donor countries and organizations and Congressional parliamentary committees Francis wrote
In the letter further he said some members of the daser will legally and peacefully conduct protests at Jamaican embassies consulates other government offices in the US the UK and Canada which is expected to Garner the attention of international media regretfully the Jamaican government has forced the diaspora its
Largest source of Foreign Exchange to take these unprecedented actions in the best interest of Jamaica and its people at home and abroad St Francis who lives in the US however the plan has received push back from other members of the diaspora who have argued that while some of the concerns are
Valid public protests and advocacy to block donor funds to the island are the wrong ways to have them addressed Pete the elected representative for UK south of the global Jamaica Council told the gleener yesterday that the letter which has been widely circulated on social media undermines efforts to solicit
Investments the linkages which I’m creating in the diaspora right now around investments from Jamaican entrepreneurs This Will Destroy all of that work Pete said I don’t agree with what rert has done why are you doing to why are you going to pull away support from Jamaica that goes against the national diaspora
Policy and why right now when Jamaica is at its greatest need in terms of support for youth education prisoners he questioned Pete said International donors contribute millions of dollars to the country and any lobbying for the removal of that would hurt Jamaicans the letter he said will create a negative perception of
Jamaica at a time when it needs all the help it can get he insisted that the letter be withdrawn noting that the Honus administration’s engagement with the diaspora has in previously unseen support we recognize that there are issues of Corruption of course we recognize that there are issues of crime
And violence of course we recognize that there are issues with education but this is where we have to build the country with our capacity as Jamaicans living overseas to help with best practices and to invest in those startup entrepreneurs said Pete State Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign
Trade Alando terong who spoke to the Gleaner yesterday said members of the diaspora have expressed shock at the contents of the letter amid the unprecedented level of Engagement they have had with the government over the last five years he said that these engagements have been facilit ated through the formation of the global
Jamaica diaspora Council and the global Jamaica diaspora youth council members of the council have expressed their disapproval of the use of the logo they have expressed that they have not authorize the use of their logo in this manner and certainly they find it inappropriate said Terell he said that over the last two
Years the government has engaged the number has increased the number of council members from 8 to 30 which has widened representation within the diaspora approximately 1.1 million Jamaicans are domiciled overseas according to the United Nations department of economic and social Affairs population division 2020 with women accounting for
57.5% of that figure calling the diaspora a strategic partner the minister said that said that the government has met with members in several countries by a tele teleconferences and other avenues to broaden its engagement our mission is to engage the diaspora connect with the diaspora and empower the diaspora not only in terms
Of how they relate to Jamaica but also in terms of empowering them in their own Community he said pointing to the assistance provided to them via embassies and high he said that the government has also supported the missions of several members of the diaspora to the island
And has through the Ministry of Finance granted waivers so it certainly has been an engaging process over the last two years he said still Francis argued that the letter was long incoming but due noting that there must be change in the country moving forward he said the engagement with the diaspora as
Insufficient is insufficient and that the diaspora policy has not been truly effective over the years as a result of that we have not seen the growth between diaspora issues and policies it has just been in limbo there’s so much potential apart from remittance he said he argued
That there needs to be greater Reliance on the diaspora who members have had tremendous exposure to different services and have acquired skill sets that could assist in making Jamaica better he dismissed suggestions that his motives may be political asserting that he is considered a member of the current
Government in the eyes of many I used to be involved in politics in Jamaica for a while and for this government in particular so why would I be a be political about this now we’re looking for betterment we want to reduce the crime and violence we want to reduce the
Corruption we want to improve education we want to get our money’s worth out of our raw materials we want to export more and import less young people need opportunities it’s to build Jamaica I love Jamaica more than I love myself said Francis the B and this is kimone
Francis at gleener jamaica.com right so so so few things and Dr Dr among and we we speaking on one okay so when talk and Dr talk for himself we it’s a collective body okay and then you know you just read something and it’s a show you terong say about the government move
From to business who the it’s impossible that don’t make no sense okay it make no sense we say we have stop some things and when when come out and about dip this and that engage you not engage with us you engage with who you want to engage with yeah
Millions of us out here and we not talk and the thing so when you pick out who you want pick out and say dip want put it business when we say we go out there we do do it right now when we some me we have people in the media remember
You know Maria one um um Fantastic 5 one and have credential and go back for credential and and have links the hill and we have other media houses people we write up some things and so we do a lot of things and we stop investment right now so me just call one
Stop stop good amount already one yeah we not it you understand not it see nobody know these people the dip who who the government anything the government line up line up back we’re not going to do that we come together as a collective Force yeah bus the government and like
You know you know you know you know own them country Jamaica government so we you have to be independent of the government so you make decision it make you know for the wellbeing of people back home and people in dip we not some guy pick we know and we want know
Because command us come them and do like that we with them weite with them none at all right sleep sleep last night no no no oh come youone us we that do engage Republican and Democrat man the hill put out some big things in the paper we
Expose everything we have some we have some serious information some things you know we have some things unbeliev we Releas the government and some of the individual there you understand release them yet you understand so don’t push over the edge we have them we have the yeah man um just go through get a a text messages you know and all of them in solidarity
With what we are do I said right now we can’t afford this this gentleman our brother what this gentleman in England for try and derail and undermine what we’re doing without the facts cuz and I mean him like I said him already agree that yes there is a problem with with
With with crime and Corruption and all that stuff everything is valid so when him come down to talk about you see it don’t make any sense because if you have an environment of crime and Corruption then why would you want for entice business to come in that environment you want clear up
That investors yeah you want to clear up that environment first and then you say okay the the the environment is is is right now for business but think about it now the crime rate so high corruption so and IM send people down there invest you know a Madness that is evil madness
Madness yes it’s Madness so about wers you know way fantastic five he talks about giving waivers who get those waivers to bring in so when he’s talking about bringing in waivers you know and he’s emphasizing Investments Investments for whom for whom you know and you know sorry for interrup sis go ahead oh
Um no big up is a Guiding Light you know K watch every program on keep keep stret send some things and things and things but cor was said why silence slices deep and we should have just leave him alone but cor here’s why silence not slice too
Deep in that case we can’t make theme Vice come out and we not respond to it because people might think are true so we have to point out the fallacies of his argument so that people can just rubbish him or will not rubbish him but rubbish his argument and make him
Because what we want we really want him to really come on our side and understand or at least make make an informed decision decision make in because you can’t see Jamaica go down in flame and you you bring people for come come invest up that make no sense right so come something know
Peoplec like with Jama backround good so if me youp people UK come out with artist everything you know you can do that at first your name and you know we put serment like stop stop investment inv stop them tell them have to be careful you understand and listen to me you have
Poers better some serious but yes know you know what happened um forget about pet for a while because I think we already rubbish him statement we not rubbish the man we just a rubbish the statement the statement yes what we notice is that what we know
What we what we believe and we know is that the government in a crisis right now with this letter in a crisis because in first time in the history of Jamaica them say a group of diaspora members decide for take decisive action against what’s going on in Jamaica and them have
No control over what we do no control then can’t to with can’t impossible them sit down there and have them meetings now about what does this mean for the future what does this mean and it no matter what mean them can’t stop cannot stop with and what’s
Interesting is we have this man come out but we don’t hear from the government we don’t hear from them say well and you know quick to jump out on things say it’s lie it’s lie has responded to the to the article in the Gleaner what say he’s basically
Saying they have that um they have the government has expanded it has increased the number from of of the members of the council to from 8 to 30 and he’s also he has also said that they have increased dialogue basic I’m just paraphrasing dialogue diaspora but he’s not
He concern address the issues of concern as it relates to corruption and crime and bringing in donor funds how has the donor funds been dispersed because the money is finished we don’t see the programs but he’s just talking about the surface stuff which is not what we’re
Talking about so he’s saying that yes engaging the the council the diaspora Council but who are these people and what are they talking about well here’s what happened with him I don’t want to hear from him because him just get a job there I want to hear
From the person who’s been there from jum Street I want to hear from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade The Honorable Minister Kamina Johnson Smith who’s been there since 2016 and is probably the longest serving foreign minister Jamaica has ever had I want to hear from her him just get this
Job yeah IM talk about them increase it from 8 to 20 the question is when did they increase it from 8 to 20 when because apparently really know a mystery because it’s 2020 you know them start up them change it from the from whatever it was the advisory committee to the global
Jamaica diaspora councilors 2020 them do that and just because you expand membership oh and don’t tell you a lot of the members them they’re youth m something called Global Jamaica dip youth ccil people tell you that just really understand the issues you know like groom them tell you that and don’t tell
You is don’t tell you about how an increasing numbers um how that was reflected in the number of people who voted because if you say well increasing numbers then you say is that we need more because we have more people out there more people vote and um there’s an article put out
By Ambassador Ward and him start show you said that there is voter apathy and part of the voter apathy was the fact that the government took over the diaspora the government runs a diaspora Council right now so how can we so how you expect them people know to stand up
For us when them they’re at the beckon call of the government the government cheers the meeting the government tell them when them are have them meeting the government invite them when them feel like or don’t invite them oh by the way and I said it earlier the government has
The right to fire them off of the council fire people we fire people we fire people where we elect have the right to fire them so you the council represent us well this now let me tell you who the government um fire the Fantastic Five fantastic five rat the Renegade and the rebel
Marone you can’t we stop investment we there is no stop Itama the one you know Theon one yeah yeah so right now when them we stay we a dip we like you have you have um you know your community and you put a a community watch and and you your own group WEP powerful man look man CV look what look CV reach
A lot of people 10 and 20 and 50 people deal with industrys thousand millions of people dip right the glob so we are step with stepy people something it will be done what happen yes no social media has changed the landscape completely so they are faced with something that they have never they
Use it to do to to to to their benefit and that’s fine but it’s also being used to hold them accountable so you know it works it works for both it works for both parties so we’re using social media to say to the government there has to be
A SE change you have to change course it cannot continue like this and it’s the young people who are the most affected right now because his his approach to dealing with crime is through S soe and zoos and stiffer penalties but who are these measures affecting the most the
Young people and so you have to say to him do something better to help them out of this the condition that causes them to gravitate towards criminal Behavior so unless and until he does something about that then the crime is going to be out of control so he has to
Do that and we ALS he has also has to address corruption at the highest level that you know it’s like N9 day talk something SSL happens n day talk petrum happens n day talk um Cornwell Regional happens with the cost over runs n day talk and all it is the country is just
Bleeding money and nobody seems to care the government doesn’t seem to care they just carry on as per usual and all they do is say oh let’s bring in more Investments what about the tourist can the tourist get the same can the Jamaican people get the same level of
Protection that tourists get you got to be serious about that got to be serious folks just to prove the point again like like lome say all the time you know and we have to Echo it we don’t tabl around here we deal with facts right there’s an article put out by
Ambassador Curtis Ward and it’s called um I don’t see the DAT it’s called the Jamaican diaspora dist the government’s Council it was put out about 10 months ago I’m going to read you what he said about the UK right I’m going to read you something um here we are all right three
People represent the UK three diaspora members right and him say two of the incumbents in the UK were unopposed for reelection air 165 total votes elected all of the three candidates 165 one candidate get 17 vote one get 89 and one get 59 now keep in mind people UK have thousands or maybe
Hundreds of thousand of Jamaicans car more than 2 3,000 people have 17 vote me can’t represent nobody nobody listen Eng people 165 people out of thousands so they’re not representing the issues of the diasporans nobody notes I mean people think about it you know Curtis did a favor when 16 because have three representatives and remember now one representative get 17 vote 17 represent Jamaica in UK one next one get
89 and one get 59 and believe me you must you must have hundreds of thousand everybody mix up am people un it get worse it says that this is Curtis W Ambassador W writing him said I am let me repeat him said two of the incumbents in the UK were unopposed for
Reelection so two people nobody never oppose him one person have an election um some contest said a mere 165 total votes elected all of the three candidates combined one gets 1789 159 said I am reliably informed that no candidate came forward to contest two of the incumbents and the low turnout was
Because of what very little interest in participating in a structure designed to serve the government structure designed to serve Ser the government at the expense of the diaspora right then say about America now about my region and we know my my my my my my thing listen know my um my
Representative I listen but you not going like where where the man right yes up him say um but listen to this listen to this him said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade in denial or deliberate obfuscation issued a press release declaring the election as keenly
Contested and applauded the fact that a total of over three as as you Dy you must say three not three three ,000 voters participated in the process across six electoral regions Canada UK and US think about that people something Canada again US Canada us and UK 3,000 people so we over people am
People the diasp more than million dip like million 2 million more that 3,000 the percentage 3,000 the place talk to me more 3,000 people talk to me you draw 3,000 people for pressure so more foolish we know more people represent people America UK move man listen to this one now listen to
This one the extremely low participation of the diaspora in the most recent council elections should come as no shock to the government the message has been very clear from the beginning with a Jamaican population in the US Northeast that am my region from Main to Virginia a region which includes states
With large Jamaican diaspora population like Connecticut Massachusetts New York New Jersey Pennsylvania and Maryland with perhaps as many as two million Jamaicans less than 100 voted less than 100 and represent people have people well People Media fantastic five and Mar and everything and remember a media work with same you
Understand work through the media Med people know yes Deborah Corner say it’s 800,000 people in the UK and how much people voted 100 and something hey so represent you and the government like you want put some can’t put people Government you ask how can they present you this this is the first time we are hearing about a naani maybe the people in UK have heard about them I don’t know but had it not been for this letter we wouldn’t know that you have this person
In the UK who you know is supposed to be representing the diaspora we know that they have a diaspora Council but we do not hear them um advocating for the issues that affects Jamaicans on a daily basis so it cannot be rubber stamping what the government does was talking
About bringing Investments to Jamaica how can you bring investments in Jamaica you cannot pour new wine in old wine bottle so that makes no sense you have to clean up the system clean up the country get crime under control get the young people and gainfully employed have them being educated have an educated
Society have a society where that works for everybody it only works for those who live above halfway tree and the people live above halfway tree don’t have a clue what is going on below them they don’t have a clue how three qus of Jamaica lives right now they see it on
The media they see it on their news cycle they hear about the crime statistics but it they’re far removed from it so they’re not affected by it so unless and until they bring those people into the conversation then we have to do this so I would love to see Pete and
Others like him be a part of the conversation be a part of the Sol U come together and say you know because the truth of the matter is he has acknowledged what it is that we’re saying the corruption and the crime so if you acknowledge it you cannot
Acknowledge it and then say but then but what but what what have you done for me lately you know uh let me just said GTV what I said don’t try blame us I’m not sure not sure I understand your JTV but if you’re saying we’re blaming the
Voters we’re not not um because the reason is here why the the the turnout was low um and them said that because people don’t believe in a structure that’s controlled that’s instituted control by the government because before that we should said no the diaspora is our in is our institution now it’s taken
Over by the by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade and remember what I said JTV that the the in America the person who sits at the top of that board is the Junior minister in the Minister of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade and that person has the right to
Fire fire people that we elect as our board members that can’t fear now sound system you said that the same low voter turnout in Jamaica it’s not the same thing because here you have you have about 3 million people worldwide and only 3,000 voted that’s less than
That’s less than the 30% were voted in Jamaica and and here is and here’s a critical piece now in a Jamaica you you you vote and you vote for your representative for the government here you vote for your representative to represent your interest and then them report to another
Body them report to another body and then don’t represent your interest that don’t make no sense you know people so we we independent independent think everything and Mar and and and five um we don’t think the government supposed to the dip remember outside you have your family members and everything you
Far you be the watch over so that alone and that a foolish that is garbage so anything put put put in and then you have follow suit like we know say the crime and violence we know know but want investment investment stop investment living Cash Stop come said before people you know
Lot and then lose life lose investment kind of things it not watchy with 14 vote and government Jamaica remember know people in chat we welcome the discussion um and it’s about it’s about sharing information and we’re willing to share and listen and learn um and it’s a twoe street keep in mind go
Back and check in 2020 when they formed this organization there were 28 members of the global Jamaica diaspora Council and of the 28 members I believe 20 of them were appointed by the government of Jamaica think about that 28 members are represent in no what me I say America 28
I represent the whole the whole um the whole globe which part Jamaicans 28 and 20 of them were appointed by the government of Jamaica that we all you do all people blessing but come group be the and investment investment when something right with government it’s not right but you can’t have some
Guy put in atiff jacket withy and then you know ifp jpes comeer it interesting it be interesting to check it out and find out if if Peter the one who get the 17 V maybe and push something you understand you know you know you know what funny have three Representatives right
And if me a Peter if if me Mr Peter get would get input from the other members them and as United the UK the UK um leadership of the Jamaica Global D Council this is how we feel but we get that we get just Fe view who want he
From the other two people but just keep in mind that one person in the UK with 800,000 Jamaicans saying the UK get 17 vote one person get 17 vote and one person get 9 people 165 people and to talk to them impossible not recognize them recognize them recogniz elected to serve don’t know
Them either don’t recognize them either so if they walked into a room if they say they walk into the grocery store nobody in that Community know them I’m quite sure where he lives nobody knows that he is on this diaspora Council because if they I think more information
Will be coming out of this diaspora Council so that they don’t know him he he knows he’s there but they don’t know that he’s there and they don’t know him so you not knowing him is is the least of it you not knowing him tells you that they don’t know him you see
So who is he and it’s nothing it’s nothing it’s not an indictment against him we’re not attacking him the person we’re just saying the position that you hold is not reflective of the work that you should be doing because we don’t see anything we don’t hear anything I
Mean seriously what is this about just just an organization that exists on paper this is it cannot exist only on paper there are too many things happening in Jamaica for it just to exist on paper and you know what you know if if them come together like we come together
And say could do this and we powerful forces come together because people drive go right now the up to dri do command them respect sense and then make big speech the government know the backr platform here some people keep to the fire back off because government supposed to have them diasp you know
Jamaica get Jamaica Jamaica why is itob but you know know really serious about doing the work of the people that are in his constituency put it that way way he would have reached out to you or ra long time because you’d have known that you guys are doing this work and he’d have
Reached out to say how can I be a part of this how can I talk to you I need to come on and say something about what I am doing in my neck of the woods to address the corruption problem to address the crime problem so he has not
Reached out they cannot be serious about being in the diaspora and rep presenting the issues of the aspirant and have not been on ratigan show have not been on your show no this math isn’t nothing at all know Len draw around him have a Mee with him
And much people turn out and talk him some real talking now you understand get some real people the Coller everything do this and do that and do this but reach out to nobody know him where go with 17 this coverage TV radio coverage I can see move man
Andre you no there maybe wife family him and the James’s fam right them say you guys doing a good job that part of England this guy is I live here for 20 years I never heard of diaspora person yet see even reach out to fight fight yeah the same
Thing D Dar I mean hey tell you man your your chat room you know and even my um um send something sent something to me AO Umon sound system yeah Eon yeah man big up yourself no understand where you come from Eon understand no problem my brother but somewh um somebody said that how is it that have big SSL scan and you try you try get investors to come down dth Garden dth Gard no salute you
Because if if people right now you much money much people around 200 bank account and and remember you know turn up that mean dirty money you know the reason turn mop put can’t go go go claim it I claim the account because other stick on them so
177 claim yet why there say listen want the ilit we want bank account we need to do this keep quiet get what happen to you keep keeps keep binal Hospital keep pet keep about um um CR greed not going to prison or keep quiet about dip dip keep violence cut off the money
Because they not want chop chop get cut it the money suspect that a UK citizen as well the the the British the foreign secretary give money for unach youth Talk Money G yes money Harris get and money ask them questions ask about the covid money where the covid money gone
Right ask about the bullet program with the school where the money they gone right yeah that’s what we’re saying yeah yeah you see he’s saying that he bringing in Investments but you already get got some how was that spent so if if you have no accounting of how what came
In was spent why should you bring in more on top of that shouldn’t you clean up the first um problem before you bring add another one to it so that they’re just only collecting money to to suit themselves and to benefit their friends and cronies but not help the Jamaican
Young people because the money for the unattached Youth was not spent on the unattached youth so so it come like you know Ry you know like oh you have some company some people in in China and place low people come invest money and then chop it it come like people set up
People money careful people represent dip car investors that get money chop because first thing see them active if you m of the dip say this and that we to see active and knock against all of these things but not even one of these things we hear them are

Object and then going change the Constitution and extend the state for the DPP and and and the auditor general you know talk about none of them things there none of them things talk about the poest borders talk about how we violate international law when when the ha land
We sure and instead of give them due process we send them right back to to to degradation and about that but at the same we we go over there go go fight gang right and I mean there’s so many issues this gentleman could have picked up on and
Said listen we’re represented so want to know if the diaspora if if represent if all business people because business bring Jamaica want know if if the James business in a community because bring business Jamaica but in what you need to do you need to have an a business friendly environment that’s
What you need to do to bring business some business people you not think about the people lives you you not government stop using oh Patrice natti she said I’ve lived there for 27 years never heard of Pete um but oh somebody about people sleep on card at

Known that the government loan or gave a grant for horses to come into the country that $20 million you know how much that could have done um for um to fix up hospitals and schools yes so why is he not talking about those things those corrupted behaviors and and tell him something
Just tell him something R fantastic five and Maria last keep meeting there with other people from the press and everything right so it’s an international thing we do so we W them and like and then reach out to the Congress people on the ill tell say fantastic the credential

Involve people from Capital Hill inv Congress people move fast brother need the the say to all the people with human rights you can’t and freedom of speech you can’t talk about the prime minister otherwise Dr you from your bed what you see what people need to understand is that Rupert make it clear
Rupert is a [ __ ] supporter right now like lome said you have a group of concerned citizens Jamaica citizens Living in America and in the UK and in the US right and we all rally behind the message that this government is not acting in the best interest of the

Which is [Laughter] oh still police Poli oh the there man welcome sir welcome oh hi hi hey how you doing Wayne how you guys always always heard about you guys you know finally platform good afternoon silver okay hi Daisy well it’s very interesting this particular topic you know what I’m
Saying because um I always say to people all the while in 2004 I was a part of the initial diaspora organization you know that Went Down To Jamaica 2004 2006 I went to 2008 I went to 2010 then when the dudas Saga was going on they they stopped it because of the
Dudas thing but myself and a few Went Down To Jamaica St to say that we weren’t going to stop because of the the the issues going on with doas and we we did a makeup one and uh danana Franklin was the initial uh d for representative Minister which terong is now the
Minister for it you know but I I I I I got fed up with the whole process with all thing called the diaspora initiative and I left it and I I I actually had a different sort of um difference of opinion because I was more of the view
That you need to let the people know what is happening I was sharing with people what was happening I was getting information I was the information officer and I was letting people know everything what was happening but I was pulled aside never forget that pulled aside and said you’re sharing too much
Things and and people were trying to separate me and some other Breen and then I I just I can’t bother them thing and let off a very face to letter and um I still have that email somewhere along the lines there you know and and uh and I created the facilitators for better
Jamaica because I believe that they their level of Independence and and what we found with the dasp after after a while over the years is that it became politicized so therefore if you if and it became it became politicized that the persons who are now in position
Find it very difficult to speak or to challenge or to critique the government in things because they are somewhat in bed in a sense that at one point somebody asked me today who is the head of the diaspora and I had to say Well it must be the minister in charge of the
The diaspora initiative because the the the the the persons who are involved the persons who are part of the board they’re not going to critique the government they’re not going to critique the minister they’re not going to rock the boat and and therefore even in 2006
When I when I I was one of the first persons that um put it on the floor about overseas voting for Jamaica and uh and I never forget GL Danville Walker came in and danana Franklin was calling me said where’s silburn I think I was it was at
The arena where is silburn and and there was ton was there at the same time and they were talking about this whole thing about diaspora voting and then every year after guys every year after every different conference it was like something fresh to this day if you talk
About the diaspora voting it’s like something fresh my view is that it’s not about whether it is yes or no or whether you have it or not but dealing with it and one of my one of my favorite thing is this if when you have a a friend or a
Sister or whatever come to spend three weeks for you in in um what you call it wherever you are and even ratigan and then Andrew or someone call an election why should they have to dash to Jamaica to vote they should be able to vote right there you know I’m a
Lawyer in the UK and I got lawyer friends who are from Australia from um New Zealand from uh South Africa and anytime there’s an election or they go to vote at their Embassy South Africa House New Zealand house and all those sort of things you know so so the world
Diaspora thing need to be when you when you hear the word diaspora when somebody say what I don’t like is when somebody say the diaspora is saying this and I’m say who who who consulted with me who talked to me why why you painting the brush I mean like what is happening now
With Rupert and and nael and and and the points I said I’m not going to take in side but I’m going to look at the four issues there are four key issues that um that was raised by um Mi Mr uh um um rert Rupert raised four points and those
Four points that he raised were very crucial it is the increasing state of public corruption you can fact check it if you want to the high level of violent crime you can fact check if you want to the failure to provide promised Service delivery unfulfill promise to the diaspora regarding whether and whether
One is politically aligned whether one is orange or green it shouldn’t make any fundamental difference it’s the issues that we are talking about which is what I believe you guys are talk the issues at hand and therefore when when somebody start to critique the government or someone oh you’re showing shades of red
Showing shades of orange and I keep saying are we that dumb are we that’s stupid that we can’t think Beyond green or orange you know and and those are the sort of issues that that I do have with the the the diaspora initiative when someone said they’re speaking for the
Diaspora when as someone said earlier not not enough people that don’t know what is the dashport no people don’t know who natel Pete no people don’t know these persons and that’s a real but I know them and I talk with them and I have access to them but that is
Because of the circles that I have but the average person don’t know you what I’m trying to say that’s just my Landing that’s my Landing card so my brother so all right so you hear this raty just make it clear to me you know you’re welcome any Sil
Let me tell you this you one like us you’re one of us because we diaspora okay I used to live in UK by the way us you know you know you know even Grand NE and and the work you know and this that brother and everything so family huge
You know all over the place so you know um but speak true to it get Pol politicize the thing and if we the diaspora I hold up Jamaica with 4 billion every year because the FL by this you know that okay have the money to buy at all the deficit is
Like export 1 billion bit and import 6 billion most of the time 5 6 billion 6 so the defit like billion all the time 5 billion is a country that go money from the dip use the billion the billion a reserve that depleted already sink so we the country but when
You up the country be a watch Lion bird Place sink you not supposed be politicize you can’t make a government come pick some guys and then you can’t criticize them and them and take you off that mean it’s extension of the governmentp who are representing dip turn you can’t extension of the
Government and to me influence the dip V coun right now and have the people them for back it them can do it who them pick is puet listen a thing that spre WR thing at a prime minister you double check you can’t C tell you and come in of and
Lie say I repeat is no say is no squatter you tell me say them you say you say Clans man politics don’t andell the land and live there and and blanket with sold and kind of that was a lie need to stop it too much people in Jamaica the hospital look me
Me feel sick already in healing hospital and then feel better come out and stop me and said no listen if you go out there sit for two weeks something like a we kind what kind ofair again the beach chair tisue we interview him and then take responsibility people you do 9000 000 at
Time mil with that money so to people you understand people like the country you know you know you know Wayne one of the things that um and and rat one of the things that and there’s one of the things that I keep thinking about a lot is that it’s it’s unfortunate that
There’s no sort of third the leadership section in Jamaica like some senior Elders that can look down and say call these guys in and say um you know this thing is wrong or right you know I’m talking maybe like the Bruce go in the per Char blah blah
Blah but I never forget I went to York cast high school and I always big it up of course you know and um the principal of York Castle High School is my um was my classmate and he said to us one time when we all became in 50 becom in 50 he
Said once guys your parents used to take you to school and used to call them elders and he said you all now Elders so we are now Elders we know a responsibility as you right to say to be the Watchman for Jamaica right so when when you have a situation where somebody
Is talking about a constitutional reform and you’re not hearing the message being cascaded down to the people of Jamaica where they can have a sort of understanding our massive education program going on that is something very concerning when you hear that the minister is talking about putting something to Parliament to remove the
King when at the same time you have the talk about wantan in Jamaica to a third City that’s a constitutional issue then at the same time you have Jamaica talking about wanting to have hate language hate speech that’s a constitutional issue and then you go further with we’re talking about um
Minister of of um Peace these are constitutional ISS so why are these things happening at the same time when you have this bigger issue of constitutional reform taking place it it it it seem as if to say let take with idiot and and therefore and this is why
I I say when people say to me when when when I saw something about Ministry of peace and I commented on it I said what about the six persons who are supposed to be considered to be caught up in um illicit in illicit um enrichment and making money ministers or whatever
Shouldn’t the government and the opposition come together to say let’s deal with this because guess what that is going to manifest some sort of anger and disturbance okay you have peace when that is happening and then what about the the the Prime Minister disclosing what he’s about and and how
Much money he has that is what the diaspora should be saying as some of you guys were saying a while ago they are not saying anything like that trust me I can guarantee you that none of them are saying that so you see the problem that we have so therefore programs like these
That is why they I believe that they will try to shut down programs like you guys trying to educate people educate mass of people and I keep saying to people all the while in Jamaica every time I get an opportunity you are the boss they are your servants you are the
Boss you are the one in charge in the UK of course we we can call um MPS if they if they C with their hands down no MP in the UK no MP being investigated could be standing now in a position walking around as a minister or anything that
Couldn’t happen never happened the Press would hound them down people would H them down they could never be six I’m just telling you this and therefore Jamaicans need to move away from this green and this orange and stand their ground and and the responsibility that we have that is yourself and will raan
And and everyone and and when we have a responsibility whether we’re overseas or not so when somebody say to me well they overseas nothing I keep saying to them the Jews never say that the Jews will never say to another Jew you’re overseas don’t talk about us the Chinese will
Never say that the Asians will never say that but we have in Jamaica we have some idiot people say they no about tell us something can’t tell off no we have a responsibility we all have a responsibility silburn welcome welcome to the program it’s a very refeshing
Voice and let me say one of the things that we didn’t ask you and you didn’t volunteer is your political affiliation because we don’t care about political affiliation We Care people and the country of Jamaica we care about the policy I can tell I’m a conservative I’m
A conservative in the UK I stood for office so if anybody want to know which is my political liation I’m a conservative and then people always shut down I’m say anytime I want people to go and say I’m a conservative I have no problem with that all right now you you
You talked about um the the the diaspora representation and the issues raised and so on and so forth let me just give you a a a prime example of of government intervention and undermining of the diaspora in 2020 they used to have something called a commission or whatever diaspora commission or
Something like that um they changed it in 2020 and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade in fact the minister herself appointed people and of the 28 Representatives globally 20 of them were appointed by the government of Jamaica think about that you have an organization overseas right representing
Jamaicans living overseas and Y still organization is governed and directed by the government of Jamaica the government also as it now stands they the the the leader of the you ask a question about who’s the leader and you didn’t know the leader of the dasp that I’m aware of in
In America is the junior minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade he cheers that and then guess what I I just said it I just said it to someone earlier and they were laughing at me to in the UK yeah and then guess what he has the
Right to remove our election representative like whatever no out this them you about the questions that be the Prime Minister was here along with the ministry of Minister of Foreign Affairs and foreign trade last month and they had a town hall meeting people held up their hands for
More over two hours to ask questions and them ignor them and went to their you know their their their their Kindred Spirits they went to their friends here are the first four questions asked and the four questions asked they skip people in line to identify other people
To ask the question the first question asked was about um a guy by the name of Paul McFarlin he was number three in the line he asked about invertin for Den fever a valid a valid a valid a valid point yeah the second one was a man
Named Andrew sharp he was number four remember them skip number one and number two you know number four talking about disability and donation valid question the third one was winom Radcliff from kman she was asking about owning the Jamaica brand and the salaries but you
Never asked the salaries in a in a hard charging way but you did raise the issue number four was di McIntyre Pike from out I think Manchester she talked about Community tourism and garbage collection right none of the questions we just raise and the people in the chat room
Just rais the questions where really affect the people of Jamaica I mean these are valid questions but they are more valid questions in terms of priority these are not the questions you want to ask right then the prime minister went on and if you notice him used to talk about um Prosperity he
Changed it he said now the new mission is peace and productivity we don’t hear about Prosperity anymore because the prosperity message is not cascading to the people at Jamaica it’s not working so now no we need peace and productivity and get guess what is the common denominator in the peace and
Productivity uh H um arguments that he raised crime crime he said we need crime is what we need why we need to have the peace thing and crime is why we need to have the productivity because crime is affecting productivity yet still don’t talk about the crime rate or anything like that
Then he went on to say that regarding productivity every Jamaican at home and abroad should join in the partnership every Jamaican then when played time and time again where the Prime Minister said that when he was in the opposition you must hold the government accountable and when we try to hold the
Government accountable we get labeled and nobody wants not nobody they supporters they don’t want to look at the facts and I said to them people look we’re all Jamaicans put your political partisanship aside let’s just think about the country of Jamaica and what we would like to see it in
Terms of 2030 and Beyond and so if you look at the issues objectively you’ll see that this government is failing us and failing us at a rapid rate I mean it it’s getting worse we don’t even see where efforts are being made to say okay let’s deal with let’s see all they do
They come up with initiative after initiative and then each initiative is abandoned in in Midstream because then they don’t have what they don’t have is they don’t have the concept of the long game they don’t have the concept of okay we this thing going take a while and we
Have to make it work right they’re trying to find quick fixes and that’s why you have them come up with states of emergency even those states of emergency have been declared to be unconstitutional by the court of Jamaica unconstitutional so the thing about I’m glad you’re on because you were part of
It and so you can speak about it from being an Insider and you can talk about the partisanship of it where you say well right now there are certain things that you can’t say or if you say it people people ostracize you and them just say Bo them don’t want to talk to
You and this and that and that then how can you actually say that this this this organization then is for the betterment of Jamaica and that it’s objective and that it’s rational and that it’s appealing to every Jamaican how can you say that when you have the government control
This gentle last before I this gentl this gentlem Pete I don’t know if you know him but this man him need to be re-educated and I’m hearing that he’s giving a failing interview right now over in um uh in Jamaica um 96 something whatever he’s given a failing interview
And you know what you cannot defend the the indefensible and so I he doesn’t have the facts when he’s going to come out and talk about and I’m sure you’ve been listening to the program and you hear all the arguments so without further I just want my sister to come in
And make her points and I’ll just sit back and listen yes yes um silburn yes silburn it is wonderful to have you on and you you are echoing what we have been saying for ions for as long as we have been on this platform Wayne has been saying it before rattigan has been
Saying it it is just the it’s the constant refrain about the issues the corruption that affects Jamaica so we are here because of the letter that was published in the Gleaner and the responses to it and when you have someone who says he represents the diaspora and he’s basically pushing back
On the facts then you have to come out and say what is it that you really stand for because if you’re not standing with the person then you’re standing against the person so he’s basically standing against his own interest because the interest that he’s supposed to be
Representing is that of the diaspora and not of the government so it doesn’t matter who is the government which part is in power they are going to be held to the same standard no matter what because um you talk about the diaspora which came into being in 2004 and the late the
Land of Franklin who was the first part of this which it started the PJ P Pan’s Administration so it went all the way back from then however there’s one common denominator political interference because if this is about the diaspora then the government ought not to be involved this is not about
Them it’s about the people that they’re representing and a group of people who have an interest in the Affairs of the country that you are elected to represent we have we have a collective interest in that and we are looking at things with fresh eyes we’re looking at
Things um from a different perspective perspective and also given our perspective on the issues and how they should be represented and they’re not being represented in a healthy and Wholesome Way and so we have to speak out and when we speak out we get labeled partisan we get labeled troublemakers
And as a matter of fact the so-called um go Gaga who is not a police and he needs to LIF up has said that they need the government needs to come up with legislation to deal with um social media troublemakers we’re not troublemakers you know what I’m saying
Because they use social media to to their benefit in 2016 and 2020 we are using social media to hold them accountable what is wrong with that Jamaica has a corruption problem a $200 billion corruption problem now imagine if that money say 80% of that money was put to the use for which
It was air marked would we be here talking about the level of crime and violence that is facing Jamaica right now absolutely not absolutely not and I expect that some of it is going to be lost to corruption and to to over to um cost overruns but not so much when donor
Funds go into Jamaica there air the last one was air marked for unattached youth where has that money been spent where are the things that we the programs and the projects that we can point to and say yes this is how the money was invested and when we raise
Concerns because ratigan asked the planning Institute of Jamaica for the facts they say they don’t have it that is something that they should have at the ready you ask for it because those are monies that should have transparency they should be transparent about because it’s supposed to be spent
On the unattached youth with their thousands of them thousands of them so if it is not spent on the unattached youth then where was it spent who benefited from these monies and why can’t we see how it was spent but yet the money is finished those are the
Things that we talk about so no one should be on an organization called the diaspora counsil and have these negative push back towards other members of the diaspora who are willing to stand up and hold the government accountable because the thing is everybody is affected everybody’s affected they like to say the diaspora
Must shut up and just put up their money put up your money and shut up but what they have to understand is when you have to send money to friends relatives whomever to care about a friend’s friend or relative it it you are affected also because if the go if the country was
Running as they say it is with a low employment the economy doing so well then we wouldn’t have to be putting the bills for many many people many many people when the barrels go in they don’t get the waivers that the horses get so these are the kinds of things that we
Are talking about and that we have to continue to address until the change that we desire comes about so I am really happy that you came on and you are you’re one of us you know you’re one of us and you’re bringing some New Perspectives to an old argument even
Though we are all saying the same thing yeah that that is that is very that’s very powerful and uh and I think the next question as we all seeking Solutions is how do we uh collectively address this issue issue because it’s unfortunate that governments when people speak up
And try to share their views or constructively critiquing they see them as the enemy when really and truly we’re all in this together because I’m sure each one of us want to see a better Jamaica and a best Jamaica and I’m sure if the government is correct and the
Heart is in the right place they should want to see a better Jamaica that is why I’m always shocked not shocked but perturbed when they say that Vision 2030 because Vision 2030 should be a collective thing between both sides both parties and therefore if the both parties are not working towards Vision
2030 then they’re working against it in a sense they should you shouldn’t even need to have an election then if everybody is sold up to the part of vision 2030 so it is like spoiler alerts Wayne when you have a airplane and these latest airplanes and
When you got a a a a what do you call a submarine and a torpedo is going up to them they send out these spoiler alerts the first spoiler alert is Ministry of Peace second spoiler alert is hatred AG speech third alerts and these alerts keep coming out left right and center
And the poor people I believe I believe people in Jamaica are tired one of the things I get a lot from people in Jamaica are saying that they are scared of speaking up sometime yes they going of a kickback effect and so people so people cherish the voice of those
Overseas or able to speak fearlessly because people back home don’t want to rck the boat am I is that something you guys get make tell you something you just mentioned Vision 2030 yeah and and tell you the truth it’s Vision 2030 thing you know before them even mention Vision
2030 first you make the he care all right we have job creation up the crime address all these system all these all these issues first before we even think about Vision 2030 think about Vision 2030 which much years January the 24 that mean six years six
Years time you know six years six years and few days V 2030 first country with all these problem and the country whole it make no sense talk about it people still use by the way and you have messy water running the road s water the place up Go full of
Garage Place full of garage place you have no hospital at all Hospital work Jamaica some big Clinic some of like some small Clinic with nothing all you have is a more dictator thing set up the government buy more helic ever see this militarize the force you buy eight helicopter for do
What as as say you know use state of emergency and this unconstitutional know go and it and it struck it down but Google use it anyway it not reach no way um jam say something like that come with it and explain why not work 2018s same you understand the government going
Back with all me see them do is line in them pocket and and when it come to the diaspora the diaspora supposed to be independent of the government yes work and you have different government and everything you have different laws and everything and look want some guy think
China Jama dip put and you must not criticize the government where you get that from we supposed to watch Li of the country and understand fund stop we stop it demonstrate the people this and call up some Congress people and it out to them some of them people some of in government prison
Chopper right you said when you when um you was the member you was who um what’s your position again information officer information officer so you get you get a lot of information but you can’t speak as you will yeah I was I was I was I was I was Muslim man Muslim see
Off information but can’t talk you can’t speak the Muslim who did who did um who was the head for that now Dano the one call no no that was Dan Franklin wasn’t that Franklin yeah but but it wasn’t from danan them side because we were just in
Embroid stage of this world thing was you know the the the people that was running it because youed to have board members in the initial stage you know board members these were appointed by the government and so like that you know and um you know this is and this is from
2004 2006 long history um as well um but but the last point I want to go with is the standing the legal standing to sue the government or to sue things that ratti flagged up and the whole issue there it was a SLA in the face of the diaspora there where
We the diaspora is great we are wonderful and when push come to shove with the Integrity of the whole thing there are saying you don’t have any standing that was that was a that was a wakeup call you know to to members of the diaspora but people in the diaspora
Do not understand the the the the powerful thing what what took place there in aati I don’t think a lot of people understand what what was that said because because we mostly seen in overseas as cash cows mhm and and and therefore there’ll be this sort of discussion and this talking
As if to say um yeah everything is all but when push come to shove and and you you you take it down to the integrity and then you ask a question here and said the legal difference that diaspora members do not have standing that’s powerful and and therefore who is going
To question I’m I can tell you this not one dipor member or officer has asked that question to the government I can guarantee you that that mean don’t question can’t question the they won’t touch that well we are question them because we know to of government so that’s yeah so so
Therefore so therefore this is this is the issue now yes if you have someone who says they are dipor representative Let’s test them to see if they’re a diaspora representative ask them to ask the government these questions and see if they’ll do it and see if they
Score well you see like know them name now do it to if really mean the diaspora any good right yeah man Sil bur thanks for following the stories man like somebody’s in the chat room look like he watch your program after man listen man I’m I’m a Jamaican man I
I I when my father was live I used to know what’s going on in Jamaica even before him wake up in the morning you know I mean so I I watch I watch all the different programs I do my program but I also try to keep my ears to the ground
With with these things and of course way is a a popup in my my my screen no well L the issue the issue about standing you know that’s a fundamental question it’s who has an interest to bring a a case before the bar of Justice against government official and what’s
Interesting is here’s what’s interesting Minister Kamina Johnson Smith said in her affidavit she’s the one who raise it saying that he doesn’t have any standing think about about that she’s the one in charge of diaspora Affairs you know that’s her Ministry she’s the one she’s the one who established this thing
In 20120 the global Jamaica diaspora Council and she said no them not have no no no no standing yet when she come she smile and smile and get the pretty speeches and everything like that and everything is Hy Dory and shame on our diaspora questioners the ones who never
Side fit to ask her this this question and it’s a fair question it’s an honest question it’s a it’s a pertinent question it’s a timely question who has the right to bring a lawsuit against a government official right because the court says if you’re not directly affected personally and and otherwise
Then you can’t bring it which means that they’re saying that if there’s corruption and you can’t prove that you’re affected by the corruption then you have no right to bring it despite the fact that you’re a Jamaican citizen I thought corruption was everyone’s business I thought corruption was
Everyone’s business but now we realize that no they determine whose business it is and so if they said it’s not your business then you can’t ask any questions you can’t cause anything to go forward and as certain go ahead no no no I I was just going to say so therefore
If you have the right to vote I mean the question I’m going to ask you now because many people have the right to vote you know Mal for said when which are recently just said of course people can go and you can take the plane
And go down to vote I’m going to ask you a question can you to vote when the next election come you have to be enumerated and say you have have you have to be live you have to be living in Jamaica good you can’t go vote actually come by and make sure that
The address that you put on that you’re address Jamaica so you address geter you vote but it should be fly down be like said 203 Vision but you can’t v v you know and then the local standy the legal standing that you’re going to want that’s going to come right there now and
Therefore them can’t shut you down that’s what so that’s why they’re blocking all of these things because they’re seen down the road the power of the diaspora the power which you shouldn’t be you shouldn’t be scared of your own people why you scared of your own people because see you uping to younot
Sool gone so mind the dip you officer if you can’t just talk you want talk and you have other people somebody just call me just now before when you talk I’m a mute and tell me say the guy radio station and ly to thep because come up with issue then just
Call me and tell me guete never talked to me he should have asked me I mean if he’s going to speak for my speak on behalf of me at least I a few of us in the UK are saying he didn’t speak to us and go responding you
Know but you know what happened Sil bur and the rest of the panel the the um in 2016 we’re talking about voting I remember because I was there yeah some somebody never tell me this I was sitting in the front row right in that audience Minister Kamina Johnson Smith
Spoke about establishing a mechanism to having Jamaica ANS living overseas be able to vote and also to be able to have representation in the Senate ask them and since then what did they do they established a diaspora component within the embassy ask them now this is 2016
Ask them now where are those proposals just ask them now because they’ve abandoned them because they realize that we realize that they wouldn’t get the votes they would not get the votes and them said no we just have to abandon that and so it’s abandoned
The the the the idea that that that that they can just establish this thing overseas and control it is just it’s just beyond and I’m sure you heard the stats I sure you heard the stats that in the UK um one of the representatives for the UK got 17 votes 17
And I heard about these those those votes were were not representative I personally wasn’t interested I I I didn’t I didn’t vote but but what I heard was is a vote of voted it is 37 37% of electoral votes in Jamaica voted for the present government isn’t it 37%
Half of half of the 37% voted for the present government isn’t it yeah 21 37% of the Electoral list yes yeah but but but this one this one silburn this one you have 800,000 people saying at the UK 800 [Laughter] 137 on the line say right quick bless it bless it sir and
My case OHP represent the government oh all right bless up bless up all right now me tell you this and this Jama look China know China you know whenin come you know say like America have Chinese police station right the F some of them
Come home go them in Canada in in a UK know so find them and lock them up go go back and go back China because you talk something about the country this Andre try it’s not going to work yeah well you know I’m going to
Take my leave now but I I must say thanks for come for allowing me to come on to the program because I I was you know listening to it and I said no I need to jump on problem some the audience said no Mr alome have him one the panel you know
More good good yeah and and and and and just always just if just Ram this in no not Ram this in education education I believe is a key thing education Jamaicans just need to be aware and to be knowledgeable of this one thing they are the boss they are the boss they are
The ones who allowed these persons to be in power the the the why why why I laugh is because I know what it’s like in the UK I know that in the UK these guys are under pressure from the people they’re under pressure from the the Press you couldn’t have six persons
Being investigated and they’re walking around they could I just laugh all the while I said every time I do a video I walking in the park and I do a video it beggar belief that six Ministers of government or MP or senators or whatever are being investigated for illicit
Enrichment and they’re walking around and you’re leading into an next election and nobody know okay blet BL remember when girlfriend from us he could see very well that he could see very well with he could see her very well yes soind yes and then car and then make jump the line don’t
Resign push him all right go back to BL Tony don’t a place Bristol for the kids for the kids atool brist University corruption accountable Co him put up the media put up something with him and secretary and do this wife have to step down different boot him bar yes boot twice boot him
Twice usest Minister work something theud Elizabeth yeah even the Home Secretary even the Home Secretary at present a good friend of mine made a joke about putting spike in his wife drink but he’s a Home Secretary and he was actually pushing the law against spiking drinks and he he run that joke he run that joke
And now the Press is on his case for him to resign resign up and he should resign because that is facilitating a culture of rape so he should reside you see so even even even though the Prime Minister said he has he has full confidence but I always say this
All the while the more hear prime minister say I have full confidence in my I have full confidence two twos later you’re going to get a letter saying you want to spend time with his constituents because the press and the people and those different bodies will not ease up
Tell me something again now tell me about um um Jamaica T something with Jamaica with um Christopher T when lady ask him the journalist ask him said listen remember you know Minister you know you have G her kind of disease around and you have a
Wife but you have a sweet and the people ask said then oh you do this and say this is my private business leave it that could Happ in a in a in a UK no no no because you you you’re you’re supposed to be of a level of integrity
Yes you’re not you’re not separated from it and if you’re if you’re representative of the people don’t get me wrong and and and that is why people resign because they have failings in their life so therefore because of failings in my life in my personal life
I resign and that is why when when somebody lie saying that they are not homosexual or whatever like that in the UK it is a lie it is not the fact that they homosexual they’ll accept it but because he lied and tried to cover any lie that goes
Bad any sort of deception or anything the Press hold them to a high standard and take them down but he this now before come Jama we the Press right now to the standard because we have a prime minister Jamaica the thing ever the planet
And well Li close to him but not no lie like and Minister people one thing nobody do nothing evenl close account and then it bankrupt yeah and then this happen if that was in a UK gone my account and then other people lose their money as as a matter of fact
As a matter of fact if those six were there the world government would come down and call election just to let you know as well election yes right yes s You’ mentioned something about the elders saying that you know you wish that they had um like Elders who could guide and instruct and
And and things of that nature for the government they do have one they have a constitutional Elder it’s called the governor general but him not stepping under do none of these things right cuz he can he can under the terms of the Constitution he can say to
To Prim come come talk to me and tell me what’s going on he can’t but he won’t but and second point is that you know when you become a public official your conduct should be above and beyond reproach yes and when you fall below that standard then you need to go and
Spend time with your family in America when you see that all the time when somebody commit some transgression they say look I have to I’m going to resign so I can spend time with my family and we know what that mean that mean I get a
Catch a get catch but and the and the third and final thing well do you know Nathaniel Pete do you know him personally yes yes my mate all right all right well now here cuz somebody asked in the chat room if you know him but here’s the thing right and I the
Gentleman who the caller just said that Nathaniel P said he’s there representing himself right on this on this telephone call now I want to read to you something that came out at the gleen today it says Nathaniel Pete the elected representative for UK south of the global Jama Council told the gleener
Yesterday that the letter which was which has been widely circulated on social media that it undermines efforts to solicit Investments here’s what he says quote the linkages which I am creating in the diaspora right now around investment for from Jamaican entrepreneurs This Will Destroy all of that
Work goes on to say I don’t agree with what Rupert has done why are you going to pull away support from Jamaica that goes against the national diaspora policy you don’t speak about this unless you’re a representative you don’t that he’s there now representing himself but he’s the policy of which he’s a
Representative of the policy and and and and and and the organization it’s nonsense it’s they should just them should just they should set to him how are you here now speaking as a person you say you’re here speaking on behalf of yourself but then you’re quoting the
Policy of which that is part of your bawi to represent your constituency according to the tenants policy so if you’re not representing the people then how are you quoting this I don’t understand why quoting this um and then he talks about you know it it’s taking away uh um taking away resource when
Jamaica is at its greatest need in terms of support for youth education prisoners this man look I don’t rubbish him because I care about him as a Jamaican but I will certainly rubbish his opinion and I hope to see you soon in the future we can have more engagements like come back
Come yes but before you go silburn you talk about the elders and you call two names they have no credibility I I that’s the thing I couldn’t I just could find I I I yeah yeah yeah not those two people oh no remember what Bruce Golden
Did in 2010 and perel Charles the LaRon who only thinks that the Jamaican people want Roman jump up they are the wor no credit zero so there’s no M then isn’t it have people there they have Jamaicans are there who are respectable um but not those politicians but not not those two
Alum damb is one of them um you can look in you can look also in the Judiciary retired persons who are there you know but not um not perel and and and Bruce they are woo they help to create Andrew before you go silburn um a friend of mine dear
Friend of mine just reminded me to to ask you this are you aware of the one Jamaica legal defense Foundation is that the one that deal with the wind Rush no the one that we have now that this is one that we have here and this is the one that we’re
Using it to hold government accountable and we’re doing it in five ways we started out with three one lawsuits two public relations campaign three background investigations for politicians suspected of being corrupt four protests and five talking to uh donor agencies donor countries donor organizations about uh the misfeasance
Of funds disappearance of funds sent to Jamaica for vulnerable communities are you aware of that Organization no you’re right good please if you have a pen write this down one it’s OJ one what the OJ l DF one Jamaica legal defense foundation and the website
Is OJ ldf now I’m going to ask you to do two things in the interest of Jamaica I’m going to ask you to access that website actually more than two things first access the website I’m going to ask you to go ahead and look at the
Articles and I’m also going to ask you to make a donation to this worthy cause and the fourth thing is that there’s a letter there um that was sent to the king complaining about the the the governor general and his role in the unconstitutional um state of emergency I
Want you to take a look at that letter share it with your peers and I’d like you to to whether you want to use it as a pony um as an example or you want to draft your own but we need to get letters to the to to the the governor
General’s boss the king to let him know that his minion in Jamaica who cannot be sued in Jamaica or any court that he is going against the court order saying saying that states of emergency as implemented are unconstitutional and he keeps signing them off because a state of emergency cannot take effect in
Jamaica unless proclaimed by the governor general by the governor general so the governor general he has the discretion to say to the Prime Minister nope I I’m not going to do this because it’s unconstitutional in the face of a court decision there’s a court of appeal decision is a Supreme Court decision he
Continues they just had what two in the last in the last 6 eight weeks they just had two and the court decision was several months ago so we need you to take a look at that and you can draft a letter but we need we need your support
In terms of getting this information to King Charles he needs to know what’s going on yeah just a clarify o OJ ldf yes one Jamaica legal defense foundation and the website is OJ lf. org.org okay yeah okay we can drive well line and then know in person for me I I have audience
With the king off with your head will take it it off off close you know watch there know the address also the address is is the address is is is H part of that letter so the Buckingham Palace is there yeah I I I will I will listen listen guys um

Do so to come on and be talking about to pushing back against something that is in front of you you know like like said we don’t rubbish him but rubbish what you say represent himself represent represent my MERS friendes more people listen to him you understand soent noama be Minister
Minister China with that work it be independent thing from them so you you engage with government with even the people the country engage with government and opposition who engage but you know you can’t be a puppet for government that must not work that is stupid you to be the watch Lion of the
Country you understand yeah send too much money understand we send so much money we be the watch of the country yeah and that’s that’s it them can’t go around that then can’t go around it yeah yeah man so the rubbish winner with again phone rert cannot stop what we doing sir and and
Andert could put Thats okay so no so when rert put it out now when can’t politics or rert run so it’s not about politics fantastic but we stand in solidarity because that is our vice all of us Vice okay so and then we advance things me interational some people because we
Not yeah we’re not joking here we not no friend you understand and and and the invitation still stands for Nathaniel Pete who is the elected represent of the global Council in the UK you’re welcome to come on ratigan I mean just find get his information you’re welcome to come
On to the town you’re welcome to go to reason with ratigan but my friend I I I I let me give you some free advice don’t come with the rubbish all right make the rubbish truck Take It Go dump it no come with it rubbish CH so expect the rubbish Mar
Let me just tell all the people in the chat room who all the people who been trying to download the letter from the website I wasn’t aware of the problem um now that I am I’ll call the the administrator and make sure that it’s not um that it you can download it and
Do whatever you want to do with it so I’m I’m please accept my apology for that um the other thing is that the diaspora should never be an extension of the government the diaspora should be an extension of the people not not the government right so we have an issue
With that and then this Saturday yeah we’re going to try and get um silburn we’ll try and get him this but this Saturday on reason with ratigan with the title of the program and we’re going to send out the promo today title of the program is the year in review and a peak
In into 2024 and that’s just part one because part two will be on Saturday sorry on Sunday at 7 o’clock on wi lom’s town hall meeting so we do part one cuz there’s no way we can do part one in one only look at the issues we just but
It more because the amount of alone around 500 himself you’re right if you you Tong no but alone and 500 Mar help [Laughter] me no no just just just stick with my best friend DJ rice okay and you good to go or but then again I was gonna say I
Was gonna say um aena but then again that’s raty girlfriend so can’t raty no what can I say no this this is this is this is a this this government is corrupt from because you have Edmund B with his million dollar purchase I mean you know it’s
It’s just the government is just a corrupt government you know and it is so sad and the people are suffering it’s very sad this this thing is but you know um them said when truth is hled when truth is thrown against FAL fals perish because falsehood is by its nature bound
To perish look how the man come out strong strong theer and radio turn in you know I I would love to I would love to listen that um I would love to listen to what he says so that when we come on we can also dissect his rubbish
But all right so have have moving train and to you can’t stop it so you can’t talk to rert and stop it Dr right have we have we have Mar we have you know we have fantastic five on the on the line fantastic five five yeah okay people

Getra you understand invest more than milon Jama them like your them like your um your Monica or your title for for um for the minister tan marot and them add to it somebody a DJ bad rice that’s but also again cashia AIA see she said that um uh
The diaspora has no say yet the head of the diaspora board resides in Jamaica and right yes you can’t be no over sister know you can’t be nobody over you can’t somebody don’t mention the show show the the oh yeah you know that could have been one of the stories to
The the story of 20 uh 2023 yeah the drumming thing where them um somebody said I don’t know and I just I’m just making it clear I never said it somebody well I shouldn’t do that I said the same thing and getting trouble yeah somebody said but she could
Have did bright oh she go live you know good good obia man in s thar by OB that yeah somebody somebody we need the dip conference in 2024 good ide yeah on there on there um AB sarod right abina that’s a very good point because you know what happened the
Diaspora conference is about the diaspora and has always been held in Jamaica not the diaspora oh them don’t keep the diaspora said no our conference so we need to keep it where we there so what we should have do is said no you know what happened we have three population centers of Jamaica
Right uh in this world we have Canada UK and the US so what we need to do is take turns just move it from them three places and even if you want include Jamaica at one of the point but you can’t have it at Jamaica every year
Circulate it one year UK one year this one year that and make people go around and meet shouldn’t be everybody Jamaica no no no no no no no invite the dip V exactly exactly UK yes so now you know kind of like him all right so no what kind of
Say don’t do this like can’t stop something you have nothing yet to stop sir nothing the Prime Minister you nobody stop we do canot hey tell you hey some are running at the chat somebody say have a counter conference the diaspora conference a diaspora counter conference and then somebody say this
Patel Patel sorry but don’t get trou like leave th must leave St thas out of the arum which St thas no because people said to me that why she left good OB thas andar good man yeah man yes but but but that’s a good point though that’s a good
Point that AB ra that that the the the um the the conference it it every year now except for the years with um with covid but every year them have it and a Jamaica said no but the the ex the diaspora live Jamaica the diaspora live Jamaica have it where the diaspora lives
You know what and that that would have probably guarantee more attendance because more people in the community would have show up Fe so so do a ghetto conference all the ghetto and talk to the people and make he dip conference see right talk truthful to the people know right send it to Lo
