Devotion to the lord it’s also the semity of Mary the Mother of God and the Feast of the circumcision of Jesus lots of stuff going on today and I hope you get to go to mass today Stella and I went and I’m still on my mass clothes
And we’re having a great time but I’m pumped to come together with all of you to pray the Joyful Mysteries today I remember um I think it was last year maybe the year before we saw a huge bump in numbers in the rosary crew like right in the beginning maybe like the first
Three week weeks we had more than we’ve ever had before in the during the the live because everybody was so committed and on fire and ready to just tackle their New Year’s resolutions for prayer and then of course it kind of just sort of leveled off and and and uh you know I
Mean it’s going to happen I get it we all struggle with with maintaining those intentions that we have for the whole year but let’s try again make 2024 the year that you pray the Rosary every day and I’m very thankful um couple things just real quick on the 4th my good
Friend Danny Veni is going to be here to join us for the rosary because remember he’s going to be leading us um while I’m gone for a few days and then I just talked to Mr John Shaw today he’s going to lead us on three of the days I’m gone
Too so U you guys are going to be in good hands while Estelle and I are are are going on a an unplugged vacation so that’ll be the 15th through the 21st so here’s the thing though all of our new friends on Instagram you guys during the

Mystery is the anunciation and what an incredible mystery this is the spiritual fruit of this is humility and of course we think about when the Blessed Virgin Mary receives the news that she will become the mother of God and wow what an incredible um what an incredible piece of news to get
From an angel no less and she’s troubled by this greeting hail full of grace but you see God’s plan for her was something greater than she could imagine in that moment and yet her humility allowed her to not only grasp it but to ponder all these things in her heart see when we
Receive the word of God with humility then God can do anything through us but if we receive the word of God with with pride or with distrust or with a lack of faith friends we we got to be careful because we’re we’re basically putting a stop on what God can
Do in our lives at that point if we don’t receive with faith what he says to us we’re going to miss out and of course the Blessed Virgin Mary she shows us what that’s all about doesn’t she she shows us through her humility that when
She says be it done unto me I am the handmade of the Lord now we recognize what this looks like to receive this word and that’s our our goal for 2024 isn’t it to receive God’s word given to us with humility not with distrust or skepticism but say yours she certainly

You’ll be more obedient to the Lord if if you do that you’ll be good because he’ll guide you he’ll show you the truth he’ll call you out on your sin he’ll show you the ministry he has for you your problem is not that you don’t know
What God wants you to do I know some of you think that it is that’s not your problem your problem is that you don’t want to do it and and I know a lot of us we get in that place we go I just wish
God would show me what to do I guarantee you open your Bible and you’ll find something in there that that you can do I guarantee you go and and look at what the the the church teaches and there’s some area in your life where you can
Apply that where you can be obedient to that we’ve all got things we need to work on and obedience is the key to unlocking the next step in your destiny that’s the bottom line it’s not some magic potion it’s not some superstitious thing it’s not you know something hokey
It’s just the simple but but difficult task of being obedient and the presentation is what that’s all about they showed up didn’t they they showed up and when they did they they got some incredible Joy but they also got some tough stuff Mary was told your own soul

Got all their new fancy Christmas presents their little water bottles and their gym bags and their new shoes and and they’re all ready to go and they’re just going to be cranking and you know will they still be there by March I don’t know well does the same thing
Happen in the rosary crew does the same thing happen in the church my friends we say I want to serve the Lord more I want to pray more I want to to be more devoted to my faith that’s great but you got to persevere Mary and Joseph persevered in their search for Jesus
Because they knew that there was nothing better than being with him that was their Duty and I love how in a m say it’s Duty and our Salvation that’s that’s what the priest says friend we we have got to remember our duty and salvation is to worship the Living God
So may we receive that Grace of perseverance may we stand strong and let’s do everything we can do to hang in there even when things get tough even when we get busy even when we get bored or we get mad at somebody or whatever it might be friends let’s not give up let’s

Like a a decoration word it says peace and um Estelle’s like I’m keeping this out this year and I said okay why and she said because that’s going to be my word for the year I said do you have a word for the year she’s like yeah peace
Is going to be my word for 2024 and I said oh that’s interesting we talked about it and this morning I said I said well um you know why he said well obviously that’s because of what I want to experience I said what was your word word for
2023 and she said joy and when I thought about it I’m like yeah you know there was a lot of laughter in our in our house this last year and we had so many things to be joyful about and I really saw her just her level of Joy just gone
Through the roof well this year she’s really gonna be thinking about peace and so that started uh you know getting me to think well what’s my word g to be and I want you to think about that I want you to just think to yourself um and
Maybe even just tell us what it is if you can if you know off the top of your head maybe you guys have already done this but what’s the what’s the word for your year and it doesn’t have to be like one of these virtues maybe the word for for
Your year is I don’t know um less because you want to downsize I don’t know what it is like that’s one of the one of the the things like there’s no wrong answer here but I want you to really hone in and think about what it would mean for you
To really prioritize who you want to be and that’s what the word about the word’s not about what other people are going to be or your um you know your circumstances so like you know your word can’t be something like um you know I want to be rich because that’s probably
Not within your control but think about who you want to be and and what kind of what kind of uh word would describe that and I see the words that you guys are coming up with you know this is great stuff you guys we got joy we got surrender um um
Strength man I can’t I’m not be able to get all these up here but change yeah you want to be able to change punctuality that’s a great one I like that renewal perseverance okay I’m gonna have to I’m gonna have to stop putting all these up there’s too many they’re
Just flying at me but um I think it’s really good so then the question is then if you’re you’re work you have your word what are you gonna do to make sure that’s gonna that’s GNA be you know manifest in your life what are you going to do to live that
Out and I tell you what mine is um mine’s gonna be serve mine’s gonna be serve I because I’ve really been thinking about that lately on um what the Lord would call me to do to to serve other people and I don’t just mean um you know making stuff online I that that
Is serving people to a certain degree but I mean like like down in the gutters you know what I mean like in the nitty-gritty where are where where can I be a servant and the thing that’s encouraging to me about that is you don’t have to look very far for there to
Be needs that are that are brought before you um but I I want to be the kind of person in 2024 that like serves in in like radical ways radical ways you know it it felt really good I told you guys a story yesterday of of of driving
That Relic to to my friend’s place so he could use it to pray over his daughter and the Miracles that we’re seeing as result of that um that that made me feel really good regardless of what I knew was going to happen just to feel like
The Lord said hey go and to be able just to go um I talked about that in our live stream yesterday well when you when you make that your goal okay so your goal is pray Focus I see all these different things right consistency I’m looking on on some of
You my friends on Instagram obedience trust these are these are fantastic my friends um refresh um I wish I could I wish all the the um YouTube people could see the Facebook and the Instagram but we got people everywhere man we’ve got Communities going on everywhere and here’s the thing right whatever your
Word’s going to be make a prayer around that Lord help me to be dot dot dot dot every day help me to to look for those opportunities because that’s the thing when you when you put your mind towards something now you have to open your eyes to it because
All these things are are around you right now and you have what you need so the question is are you able to see it and I think just kind of honing in on one of these little um Concepts just one you know there may be others but like
Really said this is this is the this is the overriding theme and there will be plenty of of things that Branch off from that but if that’s in your mind every day then you’re going to avoid anything that detracts you from that and that’s the other biggest piece that you got to
Think about not just what do I have to do let’s just REM mind for a second what do I have to do to serve more or for my wife what do I have to do to have more peace but also flip that around to say
What do I have to avoid or stay away from to keep my peace or to keep me serving and I think any of us could think about things in your life let’s say it was peace that are going to take away from your peace you might be
Thinking well yeah I wantan to I want to live a life of Peace well then if you spend all of your time on social media getting in fights with people and getting all riled up and all you do is listen to podcast C or content about all
Of the problems in the church and in the world you’re probably not going to have a lot of Peace okay you’re probably not going to I’m just saying that it’s just a fact because you’re gonna be riled up now is it good to be riled up sometimes
Yeah sometimes you need to be riled up so maybe somebody’s word is you know I want to be more you know I want to be on the front lines I want I want to be in the battle for righteousness okay well that’s going to be you you’re probably
Not going to experience a lot of Peace because you’re going to be in the thick of it so there’s a season for that and that’s my point there’s there’s a time for everything so whatever your time is this year that make that your focus and just remove everything in your life
That’s going to take you away from that you know so I’ve been trying to think about that today like what are the things that are going to keep me from being a good servant what are the things that are going to keep me from being a good servant and I think
Think some of the answer I mean I’m sure I’ll be unpacking this all year but some of the answer is being too busy being too preoccupied because a lot of times when when uh and I and I had I had something happened to me a few weeks ago
Where it was just like a perfect example of that and I’ll share the story with you guys I’m sure this person is not watching but here’s a great example I’m super busy okay Sunday morning I’m at my parish and I just got done doing the Rosary in the basement of the Parish you
Guys have seen that we do that you know most of the time on Sundays sometimes we do it sometimes we don’t but um got done praying the rosary and I had someplace I needed to be like right now we had a slam packed day we had all this stuff
Going on and I was so busy I was super stressed and when I came out of my little prayer closet downstairs in the be in the basement of the church there was this this this woman sitting in the basement by herself and she was trying
To get the TV down there to show MK like they they broadcast that down there and um for some reason she couldn’t get the sound to work I don’t know what the deal was but I’m walking by and I’m in a hurry I got people waiting for me I’m
Walking by and she looks at me and she goes hey you know how to make this work and she said it just like that like she was super snarky which instantly offended me right and I was like no I I really don’t because the truth is don’t
Know how it works and and and um she’s like okay and then she started to talk and I stopped to like listen to her to see what she was going to ask me to do because I would have helped her but she goes she goes she started talking and
Then she just goes oh never mind just go you just go just get out of here and I was like she was clearly frustrated she was clearly having a bad day and I was very distracted on my way but like I kind of stopped I didn’t want to have to
Like stop and figure this whole thing out but when she kind of kept talking me I stopped I was like okay what’s going on I I don’t really know how to do that what’s the situation and then when she just basically like waved me off and was
Just like just get out of here and so then I I was just like okay turned around and walked away and as I’m walking away and I know none of you would do this as I’m walking away I don’t even want to say it was under her breath because it really wasn’t under
Her breath she just goes how rude you know she just oh that’s so rude you know and you know what I should have done in that moment was turn around and get in her face no I’m just kidding what I should have done in that moment is just
Recognize that this was a woman who was clearly frustrated and she needs someone to help take care of her and I should have just stopped in the moment and said okay I’m gonna go do that but I didn’t because a I was you know really irritated at her tone and B
I was I I had I was busy man I had stuff going on I was like no way I don’t have time to deal with this grouchy old lady’s garbage that can’t turn on a TV and whatever like that’s not my problem right well okay so if that were to
Happen this year my prayer is that because I’m here to be a servant I would say to her okay hey let me just help you but in order to do that I have to be I have to get me out of the way right and
I have to also have a little more margin built into my life in terms of time and energy now does that mean that I’m always going to be able to drop everything for every single person that needs me for whatever they want absolutely not okay but I’m trusting the Lord to guide
Me to those things that he wants me to do all right and that’s the point of all this you need to trust the Lord to guide you into those things that he’s called you to do that are consistent with the word that hopefully he’s put in your heart for
This year all right so that’s kind of like my little sermon for the day and I I I don’t know I just want us to to think about that and to really begin to set a goal and a plan I’m a big person when it comes to setting goals I I love
I love having goals I love um you know trying to be intentional with with whatever’s going on because I I just don’t want to be stuck in a loop I don’t want to be just stuck in this cycle of of you know being frustrated or not getting anything accomplished for the
Lord and so sometimes we have to really just push through and and set that goal so I encourage you guys to do that um you know whatever your word is if you’re if you’re on team replay leave that in the comments you know leave that in the

Almost like obligates you to do it so anyway I don’t have a a sign in my in our house that says serve but maybe I need to get one um to go next to my wife’s piece but that’s the plan all right my friends well listen tomorrow we’re going to pray the sorrowful
