Hi guys welcome or welcome back to my channel today’s video is another sit down video I am so sorry but this month is going to be a lot of sit down videos at least for the beginning of the month just because I have a lot of stuff to
Talk about that just can’t fit in Vlogs and should be in separate videos so I’m sorry we’re back for you sit down and today I’m giving you my December wrap up so if you’ve seen my all the books that I WR this year you would know the books
That are in this wrapup but obviously I haven’t talked in depth about them so this is what I am here to do and I am also going to be giving you my January TBR because I don’t have like a video for my TBR in Mind by the way if you
Have like interesting TBR videos that you want me to film this year I will gladly do that like ways of picking my TBR out but for this month I will be mood reading okay so let’s start with the stats the first stat I guess is that
I read 11 books this month and that means that I also read 3,636 pages so that’s kind of crazy 3636 but that is for the stats aspect definitely a lot less than last month I was in a little bit of reading some and we’ll come to that a bit later but
That’s for the stats the first book that I read this month is none other than betting on You by Lind painter which I gave a four stars too this book follows this girl called Bailey and this guy called Charlie and they meet a few years ago on a plane because Bailey’s parents
Are separating and so she is coming back from her dad’s place and going to her mom’s place and the guy sitting next to her is none other than Charlie except Bailey doesn’t like him at first and he doesn’t really like her either they kind of just get on each other’s nerves but
Nonetheless they meet each other a few years after they see each other once in between and then they see each other again because they are going to be co-workers and they have this little bet going on which is why the title is called betting on you but I’m not going
To say what the bet is about because I think it would ruin a little bit of the fun but my thoughts on this book I really enjoyed it again I think layer is the best at doing ya out of all the authors I read is definitely her and
Kale Walther they’re my favorite ya authors I just love the way that LM build her characters it’s kind of always the same conflict but it’s always dealt in a pretty interesting and fun way I like the way that the characters interact I love the way the relationship
Builds up it’s never too fast although this one is faster than the first two but I still really enjoyed it I gave it four stars I forgot to say that yeah I would highly recommend it if you want to go into ya it is a bit cheesy it took me
A bit longer to get into compared to the do over but also compared to better than the movies however ever I think there’s a noela that incorporates this book with better than the movies and I have yet to read that so now that I’m talking about
It I might go ahead and just read it right after I film this so that’s the first book the second book that I read this month is none other than Peter pen by JM Barry I didn’t end up reading this book but this basically tells the story
Of Peter pen and Wendy Darling so I don’t know how to explain this book because I’m sure most of you have heard about Peter Pan it’s what the Disney is based on follows this guy called Peter Penn who brings Wendy Darling into Neverland this magical place where there
Are lost children and stuff and it was really interesting to see how close the Disney sticks to the story but the way that the Disney makes Peter Penn a lot more lovable than in this in this he is very childish but not in the way that he’s like too insufferable he’s just not
Likable he’s like a very flaun character but you don’t hate him I just thought I was quite sad but I did really like it so that’s for Peter Penn don’t have that much to say about it because I didn’t rate it cuz I don’t feel like I would
Rate a classic in general because the writing is so different that it does read a lot different compared to contemporary books which are what I usually read but Peter pen very happy I read it then I read the cheat sheet by Sarah Adams which I gave 3.5 to but
Looking back in my just be a three stars so I might change that but this basically follows this girl called Bri and her best friend called Nathan they’ve been best friend for a long time but both of them have feelings for the other but they are just way too scared
To admit it because they don’t want to ruin the Friendship Nathan’s always in a relationship she is convinced he doesn’t like her he is convinced she doesn’t like him and so Nathan is going to make a little cheat sheet on how to get the girl because Nathan is a football player
And she is a valina and Nathan and his friends and his teammates basically are like let’s find a way to get this this girl and so he has all of this little checklist on what he should do to get the girl I thought it was a little bit
Cheesy to be honest I don’t know why I was just like getting a little bit of the ick especially from the main girls point of you not even the main guy but the main girl the decisions that she made I was like questionable and I just didn’t find myself connecting to the
Characters at all I also was just like just talk like just talk it’s been years that they’ve been having the feelings for one another and I’m like at this point you might want to say it you know like either deal with the fact that you don’t want to Rin the friendship and
Then don’t be in a relationship or just tell them that you like them like it was really getting on my nerves and overall I just don’t think it’s the best romance ever it is funny it is light-hearted but I do have to say it is quite fastpaced
So if you do want a fastpac very easy to read book I would recommend the cheat sheet but other than that you’re probably going to miss Nothing by not reading it then I read probably my biggest disappointment of the year which was never by Jessa Hastings I didn’t end
Up reading this book but I would not recommend it I wish that I hadn’t read it I must say the writing is beautiful and the way that the descriptions of Neverland were is honestly so amazing and magical and Whimsical and it really puts you in the world very easily and
The way that your feelings for the characters are built up is genuinely insane like I found myself super angry at the characters and I think that’s obviously a testament to amazing writing because if it wasn’t I’d just be like okay but I was genuinely worked up I
Have a whole video explaining kind of why I didn’t like this book and why it bothered me and a lot of other people so I’ll link it down below because it’s not on my channel it’s un listed but I wouldn’t recommend this it basically tells the story of Daphne who is a
Descendant of Wendy from Peter Penn I think she’s her great-granddaughter or granddaughter something like that and it obviously viously follows Peter Pan he brings her to Neverland she has a love story with Peter Pan as well as Jameson hook who is the son of Captain Hook and both of those relationships were
Problematic I found none of the characters to be lovable I found everyone a little bit insufferable I just felt bad for Daphne that she went there and I also could not understand how her grandmothers would let her go there knowing that Peter Pan acted this way it genuinely made me hate Peter Pan
More than any other character I’ve ever read and I was super uncomfortable with her relationship with Jameson so that’s for Never by Jessa Hastings I do have to say that because of the fact that I liked it and the fact that I got emotions out of me I understand the
Point of the book and I understand what it was trying to do I just don’t see myself liking this book and I wouldn’t recommend it either unless you like really want to know what it’s about and if you do want to know what it’s about I
Do think it’s pretty good to read Peter Penn because you do get a little bit of why Peter pen or how Peter pen acts it makes makes more sense having read Peter pen however I just didn’t like number do have to say the cover is absolutely beautiful like I would literally buy the
Second book just because I know the cover is going to be that good and that’s how crazy I am but that’s for never next I Read All I Want for Christmas by Wendy logia or loga she basically wrote this cute little Christmas romance that like 250 Pages
Really short and it is about Bailey who is a lover of Christmas she absolutely adores Christmas she loves Christmas she loves decorating she loves The Vibes she loves the hot chocolate she loves everything that has to do with Christmas and she works at this bookstore which I
Thought was really cute and she’s going to have a little love triangle with this guy called Charlie and this guy called Jacob Jacob she meets and she doesn’t they don’t get off on the right foot let’s just say and then Charlie kind of saves her a few times from accidents and
So she builds a connection with him and I thought it was cute I gave it three stars it wasn’t the best Christmas romance I’ve ever read I don’t think it’s for me personally I don’t think it was set out for older kind of people like I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re
Above like 13 because it’s not that enjoyable if you are I think it’s a bit too cheesy but if you’re like 12y old maybe I think you would enjoy it so that’s for that then I actually reread my favorite book ever be treed I have a
Whole video that kind of explains why I reread it which is basically that I annotated it for my best friend and I gave it five stars this book follows January and the g January moves into her late dad’s house and her neighbor is none other than her ex University rival
Augustus and they’re both writers they’re both in a slum and so they’re going to make a bet with each other on writing in the others genre and whoever gets the book published first is going to win and so January is going to be writing literary fiction Gus is going to
Be writing woman’s fiction for a romance and to help each other out they’re going to go on little instructive dates and I love this book I love Gus so much I love January I love everything about this book and I genuinely firmly believe that it gets better every single time that’s
How good it is so if you haven’t picked it up pick it up in 2024 that’s for be trade next I read fear of the Flames by Olivia Rose darling which is a book that I really enjoyed I gave it four stars it follows eloin who is is the queen of
This like little kingdom but she’s also the princess of another kingdom that she fled because she was basically a prisoner in that other Kingdom and so she fled and she is going to make a deal with this guy called Caden and they are going to go on a heist so that she can
Go back to her like home Kingdom and get the dragons that she left behind that are also prisoners there kind of makes no sense but I would just suggest going into it even if you didn’t understand that summary it’s really good I really enjoyed it I think it took me a bit to
Get into just because I was in a reading slump and so I couldn’t find myself really wanting to pick up the book but it’s a really good fantasy and it doesn’t have too many fantasy elements to the point where it’s confusing I thought it was fun there is however a
Lot of spice which I thought was like a little bit too much at some point but apart from that really really enjoyed that I’m very curious to reread it next year and see where the story is going to go once book two comes out so that’s for
Fear of the Flames all right next I went into a little bit of a Christmas romance cake I wanted to film a reading Christmas books for a week video kind of but I didn’t end up finishing it just because I was way too busy to even pick
Up the camera and chat about the books and so I never ended up finishing it but I did read baggage claim by Juliana Smith which follows this girl called Olive who has fled her small town in Colorado and she now lives in Florida and she has been dreading going back she
Doesn’t want to go back something happened with her family there and she really doesn’t want to go back but this year is the year that she does and she’s going to confront her sister who was there and on the plane she meets this guy called Finn who is kind of like
Lokia player and they are going to be fake dating so that it is less awkward for her in front of her family and I didn’t love the main Guy character I thought he was way too much of a player and the way that he talk about girls I
Was just like oh my God this is so menced like it’s so realistic in the bad way like he genuinely gave frat boy energy and I was not having it like he would literally say things like I’m a ski instructors which makes girls love me because they love that I work with
Children I was like okay weird anyway like he’d say stuff like that and I was like getting the egg but I did read that and I gave it fre stars then I read holiday Romance by Katherine Walsh and if you’re going to read any book next
Year for Christmas be it a book by Katherine Walsh because this was so good first of all I gave it 4.25 but it basically is a book about Molly and Andrew who have been going on this flight back from Chicago to Dublin they’ve been going on this flight for
Like 10 years each year they end up on the same flight and they go back together because they’re both from Ireland and so they both go see their families and Andre’s family is very into Christmas but Molly’s family really isn’t but they’ve known each other for a while and this year unfortunately
Because of a storm their trip back home gets a little bit complicated but because Molly knows how much Christmas with his family means to Andrew she decides that she is going to do everything that she can to bring him home and so they go on a little like
Long trip back home with a lot of bad things that happen like a lot of that stuff like happens for them but they are going to be you know getting into a little relationship and it’s genuinely so cute it was so realistic the way that it was not cheesy was so enjoyable like
It read like a normal romance but I really really love the book I don’t know why I just found myself really interested by it and it read really fast I still took like my time reading it and maybe that’s why I loved it so much I
Really liked it I hope that this author is going to come out with more Christmas romances for next year because I really really enjoyed it so that’s for Holiday Rance and then because I was on this Catherine Walsh kick I decided to start Snowden which is the second book in this
Little Christmas romcom series and I actually started this book or finished this book quite after Christmas but don’t tell anybody but anyway this follows Andrew’s brother who is called Christian and this girl called Megan Megan is basically a Runaway Bride she ran away from her wedding a few years
Ago and she hasn’t gone back to her small town since then because it’s too awkward and one day in Dublin she meets or she bumps into Christian and they are going to be fake dating as they go back into the small town so that it’s less awkward for everybody and I really
Really enjoyed this book I gave it four stars I didn’t like it quite as much as holiday romance but I still really enjoyed it it had a lot of depth I really like the characters I love the setting I was kind of like surprised when the moment where the r Snowden came
Up I was like oh that’s why it’s called Snowden okay makes sense but it was like took a little bit of time but I think it had like a really interesting topic I did like the discussions and the way that Christian treated her was really enjoyable honestly I really liked it so
That’s for Snowden and then finally final book that I read this year is a very very short book it’s around 80 pages long I think and it’s called and every morning the way home gets longer and longer by Frederick bman and the translator is Alice men I gave this book
A 4.5 it was such an impactful small book it basically tells the story of this grandfather his grandson and his son but it’s kind of Under The Grandfather’s point of view and you’re kind of following this story of this grandfather who suffers with dementia and so so he or Alzheimer’s either way
His mind is deteriorating before his body is and so it’s very sad but it’s still so well written the quotes were amazing and it was super emotional but like really quick and it kind of makes you see life in a different way I don’t know the ending was shocking but amazing
Like I was sitting there in my bed and I was like wow like this hit me like a truck and I really really really enjoyed this book so I would highly recommend it for that and that is basically all of the books I read this month now on to my
January TBR the first book on my TBR is the book that I’m currently reading SL rereading and it’s none other than love and other words by Christina Lauren I am literally at like chapter 4 but I’m so happy to be rereading this again I don’t
Think any book has ever hit the same as this book like the first time that I opened this book I remember it vividly because I read the first chapter the first page even and I was like I’m going to love this book and I ended up loving
It so that’s what I’m currently reading but apart from that I would love to get to Magnolia Parks the Long Way Home by Jessa Hastings as well as Daisy hates the great undoing by Jessa Hastings as well these are the third and the fourth book in this universe but I would also
Really like to read Divine Rivals and ruthless vows by Rebecca Ross there’s that on my TBR there is also Mile High by Liz tomford which is the first book in The Windy City series I am also going to be adding the invisible life of Addie Laro because I
Need to read it this year like if I don’t read it this year I don’t think I ever will and so this year is the year that I read this book I hope you enjoyed this video if you did you can like comment and subscribe if you’d like and
I will see you very soon in a new sit down video sorry for that but has to be done bye
