That and the third but my GPA isn’t there what are my chances and I really hate answering that question just the what is my chances question because like I’ve said before I’m not in your sorority chapter members heads or fraternity chapter members heads I can’t tell you exactly what your chances are
Because I’m not a member of that particular chapter I can only give you the straightforward facts based off of information that I know in regards to membership and just me snooping around their membership requirements page because it’s public information I can do that and you can too so my answer to
Anyone who has questions in regards to just not meeting the GPA for example the organization requires a 2.5 and by the end of fall semester I have a 2.49 what are my chances if I’m being 100% honest the GPA requirement is a requirement so to join an organiz ation every
Organization has a list of membership requirements in order for you to be eligible to apply so in order for you to even be considered as an applicant you have to meet these such requirements listed in order to even be considered GPA is one of the things that is listed
There so if you don’t meet the minimum GPA requirement there is no workaround around that you have to meet the minimum GPA requirement in order to be considered to join that organization and the minimum is usually the 2.5 I’ve always told people to strive for higher I will continue to tell people to
Strive for higher because you don’t want to start your semester in spring or fall or what have you at the time that you apply you don’t want to start that term with the minimum GPA and then going through your intake process having to learn their details and still being in
School plus your other obligations you could put yourself in a predicament where yes you’ve met the minimum requirements upon um acceptance acceptance into the organization but upon you being in conducted and by the end of that semester that you’ve joined your GPA could drop from a 2.5 to a 2.4
And now you’re an academic probation so I always encourage you guys to strive for higher just so you can have that wiggle room just so you can have that space to kind of cushion yourself if need be if things become a little more stressful or just more than what you
Thought it would be to where it’s impacting you academically which brings me back to my initial point the academ mics is the main focus of joining an organization if you’re not meeting that minimum academic requirement it’s not likely that you’re going to be considered for membership because that
Is the one of the basics of the basics of requirements in order to join the organizations uh that we are talking about joining are based on the principles of scholarship service Brotherhood Sisterhood scholarship is a big part of that and scholarship is your academics it is your GPA so if you don’t
Meet the minimum GPA requirement at the beginning how can they consider you to be a member because you’re not meeting it right now you’re probably not going to be able to maintain that minimum GPA if you don’t have it right now so that’s why they encourage you to meet the minimum in
