Happening that we will anchor ourselves to our father mother God and we will not let go we will hold to peace we will stand on peace we will believe in peace we will declare peace peace is Our Truth we are willing to be peace in the world thank you God that this worship

Happy Martin Luther King’s Day Eve we are um here to celebrate as we’ve been just talking about love and we know that love was that idea exemplified by Martin Luther King and um and we when you think about love at its highest level that unconditional love that you really understand his message more
Clearly and helps us to live it right now right to live it right now what would it look like if we really and truly believed that we are all one what would that feel like I was watching a clip people like to send me things um they know I don’t they know
That they’re my social media they curate the internet for me and um but I got this clip and I mean two seconds in I was like I don’t want to watch this but I kept watching because I knew this person was going to say what did you think
And as I was watching I watched love harmonize a crunchy conversation you ever have love harmonize a crunchy conversation you ever need love to harmonize a crunchy conversation that you’re in love is a powerful force and I think that one of the ways I know that we we focus on service in our
Communities as a way to honor Dr Martin Luther King Jr one other way that you can do that is to be love and to be love where it’s hard right it’s easy to be loved when it’s good and juicy but to be loved when it’s difficult when you must make an
Adjustment somebody say adjustment I didn’t come here to preach but I do want you to know that we should experience and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr today as beacons of love it is also Founders week for many of our uh black Greek letter organizations and so I just want to uh
Shout out members of our fraternities that have recently celebrated over 100 Years of service Kappa Alpha side Fraternity Incorporated and F Beta Sigma fraternity Incorporated they celebrated earlier uh this week uh a few days ago the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha sority celebrated is it tomorrow they’re J5 all
Right so the Delta just C Delta Sigma Theta sorority Incorporated just celebrated don’t get listen I know my history I know my history I do I just flipped the days up and then of course j16 marks uh the founding of my sorority Zeta 5 Beta sorority in Incorporated and
So these organizations make a impact in our communities and I just want to celebrate and honor those who are members you may have friends who are members and like what is all of this Hub up about have to pull me over I talk to you
About it but one of our kids told me that they did not know that there were members of Greek letter organizations in our congregation and I thought we should do better that we should do better because that would have benefited her to get to know and talk to people who were
In those organiz organization so let’s do better everybody and um if you are in one of those organizations let’s talk about a way that we can share our organizations with our young people so that they can be aware of different ways to serve their communities all right so um I’m up here
Because I want to make sure that everybody feels the love and feels welcomed and so if you are visiting with us for the first time I want to invite you to stand up so that we can love and acknowledge you yeah y’all y y all all y’all all y’all wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful

Cumulative like you can experience so many transitions that it just it you feel like you’re going to break and so right now we just stand with Amilia we just surround her in love and we know that through it all God has a plan there is always a
Plan and so while it doesn’t feel good to let go I can rest in the awareness that God has this that it’s already handled ain’t nothing for me to do but stand still and see the salvation of the Lord thank you spirit thank you God um I had a beautiful experience this
Morning so this morning I got up and our children were on my mind and can I call you up here um our children were on my mind and I said God there’s no way that you would send all these babies and let me tell you what I had planned to do
Because I was going to really like I was G to touch your heart one way or another I was going to line all them babies up and I was going to ask you if that’s what God had planned or if he had plan to touch somebody’s heart and before I
Could put y’all through that God sent me this beautiful woman to tell me that she is ready to accept the assignment of handling our Sunday school and working with our young people and so I am so grateful I’m so grateful that she knows God that she loves God and that she has
A heart for helping our children develop in that same way and she spared y’ cuz I was going to line these babies up until one of y’all stood up and said me I’ll do it I’ll do it so here’s what I do want you to know is that this is
Not a solo effort there’s nothing that we do in this church so we need everybody to help um the spirit gave me that that you know we got people online don’t think that just because you are online that you don’t have a way to help
Cuz guess what we got we got Wi-Fi so if you have a lesson or something that you want to contribute we need you everybody involved with help they live in a Wi-Fi World how’s that GNA not help them to see somebody online like and so just
Know that you can help with a Sunday school if you are in person or you are online thank you my dad used to load up our van with the neighborhood kids I expect each of you to get your neighborhood kids 2023 hit me to the
Gut but I live to know Jesus Christ to be like Jesus Christ to do the work of Jesus the Christ every single day and I wanted to start here at up church with our babies you got grandchildren nieces nephews bring them to church cuz starting next Sunday I’m going to be
Ready to get them prepared so that they can do the same thank y’all for loving on me hugging sending your prayers is needed and necessary I had a marvelous example of what it is to be a Christian in my daddy and now that he’s with Uncle
Jesus I got to live and be for my father yes thank y’all for giving me the [Applause] opportunity you don’t know where the answer to the prayer is going to come from but you know you know that you know that you know but I’m telling y’all she spared
Y’all cuz I had four of them that’s in my house are supposed to be here right now they on their way my sermon is entitled recreating up we can have as far as we can see recreating up my thesis is that the future of up Church lies within us
Waiting for us to recreate up so the future is not ahead it’s right here right now it’s in us the scripture that I’m working from is the parable of the builders and this is it’s in two places but the one that I chose to highlight is Luke chap 6: 46 to
49 why do you call me Lord Lord and do not do what I tell you what we doing I will show you what someone is like who comes to me hears my words and acts on them that one is like a man building a house who dug deeply
And laid the foundation on a rock on Rock excuse me when a flood arose the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been wellb built but the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the
Ground without a foundation when the when the river burst against it it quickly collapsed and great was the ruin of that house Reverend Sharice said it something that you are going to hear you probably heard it already or felt it already that is your charge to take action this is
Not a come get the message and sit still kind of church that’s just not what we do we are out here living this message in our everyday lives we give you practical principles that you can take into the workplace that you can take into your home that you can take into your family
Relationships my sermon today is about our theme for 2024 which is recreating up you know when I took the that sabatical in September October November ish somewhere in there I got a chance to sit down and I just kept getting this impression that we are recreating up
We’ve come through the pandemic we are recreating something new there’s something new that is being birthed through us and we have to create a space where the new is welcomed and embraced sometimes the new coming through doesn’t feel good some because we have attachment to what
Was right I liked it the way that it used to be I I I feel good about it the way that I used to have it and I want it to look like it’s always looked and so I’m just resisting to change but the truth is that the new is
Better no shade to what was but it’s gone and the new is better because because it’s going to bring out something even more amazing and so we have to create space for something new to come through we have to allow it and sit in the space and when we’re in the
Manifesting season where it we’ve called it forward but it has not yet appeared we have to remember to continue to say posit positive and to stay positive so that it continues to be welcome sometimes we can’t myth wife our dreams into expression because while we are in the waiting period we’re damning the
Waiting period but what we don’t know is that we’re damaging the atmosphere that the good is meant to come through the ideal creation is a state of spiritual perfectness tell me there’s a water up here I don’t want to drink nobody’s cooties up can I get I get a fresh thing
Bless you bless you I will drink the water but then I don’t want to have the aftermath the ideal creation is a state of spiritual perfectness is Flawless so the material Heaven and the material Earth meaning the part that’s just good and we just love how good it is it can pass
Away it’s in fact it’s going to pass away because it’s always in this continuous process of change and it’s passing away from one condition to another condition of material reality but the spiritual creation never passes away the idea of Upchurch the idea of a spiritual center where the omnipresence
Of God is taught and lived Never Dies what it looks like changes from year to year from season to season and sometimes we get married to what it looks like and we can never allow something new to come through because I’m holding on to the form but the
Idea is what we are allowing and here’s the thing it’s not an overnight thing the remaking of our world rarely is instantaneously the spiritual community that we are building is not going to be attained in one or two months in fact if you think that it’s
Going to happen in one or two months you’re going to get frustrated and leave you actually have to plant your feet and say this is where I’m going to be this is where I’m going to grow spiritually and I will see it through until it looks like the spiritual perfectness that God
Designed it will require a sustained effort on our part regardless of what comes against us people going to leave people going to quit they gonna say you know what it’s too much for me Ministries are going to shift circumstances are going to change and we have to stand flat-footed and say this
Until I bring forth what God desires to do there are no limits none whatsoever as long as we are aligned with God’s word nothing can stop us no harm can come to us no harm can come from us we will be impervious to the stressors of
Life we will be like the Builder who dug deeply and laid the foundation on Rock so the first part of that is that I have to align myself with God’s word that’s Point number one we have to align ourselves with God’s word Jesus said why
Do you call me Lord Lord and you don’t do what I tell you to do we have so much instruction already in the sacred text in our Bible we have to align ourselves with it so the power by which we act upon the spiritual creation is the same
Power by which the creation came and that power was the word it says in the beginning was the word and the Word was God and the Word was with God and nothing was I know I’m butchering that paraphrase but the point is is that nothing is made that wasn’t made with the
Word so the word of God is infinite because it’s always the same it never changes and so this is why any person can recreate his or her world if it does not suit him or her as it is as it now is that work is done by spirit in the
Words that hold recreating ideals so let’s talk about words that don’t hold recreating ideals this thing is a mess it’s utter chaos nothing ever works out nobody ever said those words the words there are words that hold recreating ideas I love everywhere I look I see God everywhere I look I see
Joy joy all around me I was down at only because I had to get up and talk but I was just spinning like everywhere I look I see joy and I was just turning around that because that those words have recreating power the truth is that you have every expression available to you
To wake up now what determines what wakes up in your experience are the words that come out of your mouth whether you say them out loud or just speak them in your head everywhere I look God is everywhere I turn there is plenty my world is wonderful resources
Are flooding into my space right now I am a rich child of a loving father I have everything that I need any person can recreate their lives if your world doesn’t suit you and you don’t like the way that it looks you don’t like the way that it
Smells you ever open a refrigerator and you like what died in here it might be something that died in your life and you need to go ahead and get that trash bag and sit down in a chair in front of that refrigerator and start pulling stuff out until you find what
Stinks maybe what stinks is your attitude maybe what stinks are the words that you say to yourself when you wake up sometimes we run ourselves down we look in the mirror and we talk badly about ourselves and we we we talk about our bodies and ways and then we want our bodies to
Perform how that work I’mma put you down I’mma tell you you not gorgeous I’mma remind you of of your flaws I’m GNA remind you of what’s not right and then I want you to protect me against Co how’ that work any person can heal his or her own body

Up I wrote I have decided that I’m going to be peace in the face of any circumstance do you know I got a chance to live that and the and the thing this is the funny part this how God work because I Carri my journal with me to
Work and so I had written it that morning I had put it in my bag and when everything was blowing up you know what caught my eye the journal I was like holy cow I got to be peace regardless of the circumstances and I was able so here’s
The environment that you want to affect it’s not the outer environment I don’t need the office to get better I need my inner environment to get better because the thing is that it’s my arteries that are listening to my words it’s my heart my organs that are listening to my words to my
Energy and responding to it and so I have to get my inner environment together that’s what I’m working on and so I side I am peace I stand on peace I walk in peace I operate in peace and I refuse to let any circumstance or fool interfere with the calm peace of my
Soul there is no presence or power of evil in my world God the omnipresent omnipotent good is my companion companion and my environment when I got to peace everybody else got to peace and so we have to stop walking into our world thinking that we don’t have anything to do with what’s
Happening we can have impact uh this is um amelda Shanklin she writes the word that makes our world new that heals our body that brings Supply that transform forms environment is God’s word when by denial we separate ourselves from what God has not created we refuse to use
Words that do not originate in God’s word I won’t even let it come out of my mouth I refuse to say anything that is not in alignment with God when by affirmation we connect with what God has created we are preparing the way in us for the fullness of God’s word
Every time I speak and I affirm God expresses through me as me God is coming up through me to me giving me every little thing that I need to know my father God supplies me all I have to do is try and I can fly I can fly I can fly
I walk like a god I talk like a god I behave like the God that I am I am the expression of my father mother God I walk as if I am the image likeness of God when I speak those words it wakes up those qualities inside of
Me I can have any expression through me so Point number two our minds make our environment so I want you to reflect on how you feel today coming through this service and I want you to know that you can do that for yourself every morning every morning you can wake up
And put on music or speak words and transform your atmosphere what if every morning you woke you stood up you got up and you said let the sun shine in everywhere I look I see good everywhere I turn Joy is all around me and you just walk the
Perimeters of your house speaking that truth turning on God don’t turn on YouTube turn on God turn on the god presence in you our minds make our environment There Is No One external to you who has power over you over your world over your circumstances over your response to your
World and to your circumstances you are the operating power and so if you woke up and you see oh I woke up on the wrong side of the on the wrong foot today just get back in the bed and get up and get out on the
Other foot I mean like my mind makes the environment no country no person no family no church no organization ation no animal no plant no insect no business no dies from the outside it is all an inside job and so there is nothing that anyone
Can do to you to harm you if you are strong you will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and you shall fear no evil Your Rod and your staff they comfort me and so you can walk into any circumstance if you are surrounded or if
You have surrounded yourself in the consciousness of God our minds make our environment any person can change an unpleasant environment into a pleasant environment because I got the power let’s say that they had a song didn’t they have a song back in the 90s I got the power
I’m going need y’all to travel with me that’s when you affirm the truth you separate yourself from inharmony God is the only presence and power that there is when you’re going through a challenge it is very easy to run worst case scenarios but I want you to train
Yourself to speak best case possibility so instead of saying that it’s hard it’s easy instead of saying that I feel dispirited no I feel full of the spirit see when you do that you literally sever the connection to the nonsense and they will wonder how come you not affected by this nonsense
We have unlimited impact over our personal lives if we feel sad it is from a lack of options but it’s really not a lack of options it’s a lack of perceived options and the lack of perceived options is what creates that feeling of hopelessness but if it comes from a lack
A perceived lack of options then it means that you solve that sadness with knowledge because it’s just a perceived lack of options which isn’t actually true and so I can solve a seeming lack of options by educating myself on my options sometimes you can feel like there’s not anything that I can
Do and I’m stuck in this circumstance but if you just do a Google search or go to the library you’ll find out that there are all these options and just by finding out that you have options you can bring yourself out of a funk and so any time that you find
Yourself sitting in sadness stop yourself I’m sad because I think I don’t have any other options I think that this choice of feeling hope you heard that I think that this choice of feeling is the only feeling available to me but but then I have to tell myself the truth no
There are other options and sometimes I may not have the information to tell myself the truth and so that’s when I’ve got to go do my research and by the same to token anxiety is the reverse of that anxiety comes from I have too many options and not enough
Priorities because when I have my PRI priorities straight I know what to say no to and so you solve sadness through knowledge and you solve anxiety through decisions our minds make our environment Point number three denials and affirmations are our tools our world is built by what we hold
In Consciousness so let’s define some things I think this is important Consciousness is a sum tootal of what I think and what I feel and so our world is built by the sum total of what I think and what I feel my world looks like my dominant thought and
Feeling and so if I want to change my world I have to change the dominant thought and feeling the moment that I change moment that is genuinely shifted my world shifts instantaneously and so I have the ability to do that Consciousness is built through denial and affirmation so let me explain
Denial doesn’t mean that I deny that it’s there the denial is that it ain’t got no power I see you dancing in my face lack of job but I’m not convinced that you have the power to ruin me you hear you hear that I’m not denying that I might be living through a
Jobless experience but I’m denying its power to ruin me and what I am affirming is that I am provided for that my father mother God will find ways to bring resources to me what happens when you practice denial not sticking in your head not sticking your head in the sand but when you
Practice the art of saying this is not the truth the truth is that God is my Supply right when you practice denial what happens is that you sever your attachment to the condition and so you literally Divorce Yourself in Consciousness from it and then what you do is you
Affirm God is all there is is my perfect employment finds me now right now when denial and affirmation are not directed by spirit and this is why you need a daily practice so this is my uh um Shameless uh advocation for you to join our Linton

To the people who make Sunday service and church happen what do you see we can have as far as we can see there are no limits there are no boundaries there is nothing holding us back we are aligning ourselves with the word of God we are denying the
