Understanding that we’re in a difficult season and not knowing how to navigate it or the language for it so um my first question to you quite simple um there seems to be a disconnect between between you know shouting in church and dealing with difficult stuff do you agree
Disagree where do you think we are as a body of Believers when it comes to that unfortunately in Western cultural Society we are absolutely behind schedule because in the black church especially we haven’t been given a lot of Life Application information and the Bible gives us plenty of it so what’s
Happening now in the age of information there’s so much other stuff out there that’s giving a false narrative to how you can navigate life and people know that shouting every week ain’t working so they’re like well this don’t work so I’m going to go try something else but
The truth is the Bible does work and the power of God does work it’s just that people haven’t been given proper principle and then two a lot of times we have pastors and leaders that are so busy fighting each other in church about doctrinal ideas and Concepts that we
Don’t get to the basics you know so man listen I I ain’t never had more fight I said this when you obey God you will have more Church enemies than you do have secular ones like it’s just the truth you know that though a lot of people don’t really recognize it why do
You think that is I don’t know because Jesus the people that wanted to kill him were were the religious people like the people that claimed to serve God they wanted them dead right so I believe that when there are those that benefit from traditions and they create their fraternities their sororities their
Different sects of groups that are benefiting from it they don’t want to see anything that brings Enlightenment and truth because where there’s Enlightenment and truth there’s liberty so the people become liberated and they can no longer be manipulated and controlled and one of the greatest forms of manipulation that control is religion
Like we can use that as a fear tactic gaslighting techniques we can use it to keep women single it’s like a whole lot of pastors that have a congregation full of women that they’re married to they’re in Covenant with them and they don’t ever want those women to get married and
Then they have different men that they keep in Covenant with them as well for whatever reason or whatever way they do it so it really is a powerful tool of manipulation so I do know that there’s a problem and I think that’s been my goal Niki is just

It D him for question well actually don’t D him for question he probably gonna answer you but then for questions um so so let’s back up I have a question a lot of people don’t know that they are not dealing with difficulty or managing difficult situations in a proper way
What does um not managing well look like does it look like bleeding on a timeline does it look like mistreat like how do I know if I’m not self-aware you have an amazing amount of self-awareness if I’m not self-aware how do I know if I’m not managing the difficult season that I’m
In uh in the proper way well you said it a lack of restraint will always show you that you’re not in a good head space the Bible says only a fool utters his whole mind and often times because we’re hurting the first thing that we feel
Will give us some measure of sedative is attention so if I go to my timeline and say sometimes people just turn their backs on you and you go into these little subliminal Rants and of course you’re going to get six am mans from six other bitter people so now you feel like
I have a support group right and when you have a support group without actual focus and functionality you guys are just licking each other’s wounds and there’s no actual resolver healing so I think one of the major ways you know that you’re not handling a situation right is the inability to restrain
Yourself and then two if the first thing you want to do is behave in a carnal fleshly way and it isn’t go to God you’re not in a healthy space because we’re not as Believers we should be on autopilot we should automatically the first thing that comes to our mind
Should be prayer it should be I know that sounds crazy but I think what whatever you practice the most becomes the autopilot for you I had taught my church last week Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA he has worked on it so much that his
Muscle memory produces a mechanic to whereas he can shoot walk away and know the shot is going in he can shoot and say that’s not going in he can feel it because he’s done it so much it’s on autopilot so when they throw the ball to me just automatically goes to it but
It’s because of repetition often times as Believers we don’t work on forgiveness we don’t work on communication we don’t work on resolve and because we don’t work on these things they’re not on autopilot but if you work on forgiveness and you work on resolve and you work on seeking the face
Of God if prayer is what you do repetitively and redundantly excessively when Trouble Comes Your autopilot kicks in so the reason why most people immediately go to Facebook is because that’s always been their source and their outlet they never went to God and this is where you find out who the real
Believers are it’s what 2020 did 2020 just showed us who didn’t have the autopilot because as soon as that Co hit they was under their bed but those that really believe God well like this is challenging but we’re going to survive this absolutely so definitely I believe
That a lot of it has to to do with one number one restraint number two what is the first thing that comes out is it is it Godly or is it how do you know when it’s the the devil because you know blame devil for everything and how do
You know where it’s just your difficulty what’s the difference shout out to my father my father told me something when I was probably about 14 he said Son you deal with three voices he said one is Satan one is God and one is you he said
And if you’re not sensitive you won’t be able to tell the difference between the three so I asked him I said how do you know the difference between the three he said well Satan is a liar so he can’t tell the truth the Bible says he cannot
Tell the truth that’s in your Bible so the way that we know that the voice of the enemy is it conflicts with truth oh that’s good so the way that we know the voice of God is it’s true but the only way you can know what truth is is to
Know his word so when you know what his word says you know that whatever you hear that is truth that is God and whatever opposes truth that is Satan so people that’ll say like I can’t tell the difference between the devil boys and God boys that’s because you don’t know
The truth so here’s the problem now if you don’t know truth and you don’t know lie you start listening to yourself and the self voice is the one that gets you in all kind of trouble because it don’t know what to do so it’s the voice of confusion because it’s trying to listen
To God it’s trying to listen to the devil and it’s just the voice of confusion I tell people I was like yo some of this stuff y’all do is so crazy Satan won’t even take credit for he’s like I a I don’t even know how they came
Up with that because the Bible says his devices his devices are predictable be not ignorant to the devices of the enemy but the Bible says that man has sought out many inventions so man is the one that’s creating new crazy stuff the devil like I didn’t even create this
Stuff they’re doing this I’m just telling them to be crazy so you know but I really believe those like that’s say how do I know the difference you have to know truth once you know truth then you know the difference between the Voice of Truth and the voice of a lie you’re like
Devil like y’all Wilding that ain’t even me I ain’t even do that like I ain’t come up with that you he’s like I I can’t watch this Satan is like I don’t even have have the capacity to think of that stuff because I don’t have the mind
Of God you do right so y’all y’all the ones made the atomic bomb I didn’t make that say it again please sir yeah Satan is like y’all have the mind of God I don’t have that so I can’t even think creative like that that’s why he’s predictable everything he does

Community whether it’s um exercising a certain muscle like is there any anything additional you know this is going to sound really simple and most people miss out on life because they’re obsessed with complexities not simplicities like I realized later in life I got I got further ahead when I simplified
Life just like the Deep the Deep people never no I I was even thinking about it the other day I was like you can make fun of like preachers like Fred Price Bill Winston they have these practical teachings but their churches were amazing they prospered everything they
Did was good but then you you look at a lot of these guys who have all this deep Revelation they miserable like they don’t because I just believe that there’s a point where you have to just apply basic things and one of the things that I believe that a lot of people
Don’t understand is Faith they don’t really even know what it is and until you get that basic concept of faith that it is God Reliance and believing what he said and acting on it everything else is going to be hard so when I when I when I literally got to a place
Where I realized God wanted to do something different in my life I realized that it was following the simple instructions that he was giving me which some people what is God saying love your enemy yeah yeah simple instruction of do for others as you would have them do for you by doing this
You’re pleasing the father he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him well we quote it and don’t even look up the word diligent word diligent just means energetically intentionally so if I know that he’s an a rewarder to they that believe he is and they seek him energetically which means
Enthusiastically which means I’m going to do this on purpose I’m excited to do he rewards so if I know that then I need to be excited about everything I do for God no matter what it is I’ll come to church when I praise him is because I
Know he rewards the energetic sure sure you know so we we like what can I apply to my life basic stuff believe God what did he say act upon it well I don’t know if I can forgive them then good luck but that’s what he told you to do you know I
Other day I had a pastor who attacked me online and I thought we was cool but I guess he didn’t agree with something that I that I said in a comment matter of fact I didn’t say anything I laughed at somebody’s joke and he didn’t think it
Was appropriate so he he decided to go at me now I’m still from the hood and he’s one of those white evangelicals who you know they don’t quite understand like we don’t roll like that I don’t do comment section stuff so I got his
Number and I was about to call him and I was going to start my conversation off with hey do we have a problem well if you know anything about black people anytime they say do we have a problem they want a problem that’s the goal is to
Start and God spoke to me immediately was like your autopilot don’t do that and I’m like you know what the autopilot is whatever he said what he said forgive him and move on now forgiveness is not a feeling it’s an action absolutely absolutely I choose to let it go that’s
It and let it go and I’m not going to think about I’m not going to hold it against you I’m not going to Harbor any resentment towards you I love you and I did just that and I think we don’t realize this like God what do I do faith
Is believing what he said and acting on it so he said forgive I’m gonna forgive he said to help the Widow and the the orphan I’m gonna help the Widow and the orphan you know what I mean like that I think we all want what’s the Deep
Revelation I want to learn about the seven candlesticks that I want to learn no you don’t you need to learn how to be nice to people you so I would say anybody just do that just do what he says and you’ll see a major change in your life absolutely and I think that’s
One of the reasons why um it’s important to talk about it because it’s practical and you give very practical Sound Advice um but you said something that I want to kind of touch on and talking about dealing with difficult people um everybody’s not as mature in the Faith
As you are and um when I was researching the topic of dealing with difficulty the number one thing it wasn’t about people trying to seek an understanding on how to deal with difficulty as it relates to situation almost all of it was how do I deal with the difficult mom how do I
Deal with the difficult father how do I deal deal with the difficult um sister or spouse whatever the case may be um and it gets really nuanced it gets really muddy and you’ve given us just now some language for how we deal and and forgive our enemies and whatnot um
Is there ever a time where it’s just not that straightforward most of it most of the solution is simple is it ever a time where getting unstuck is not that straightforward yeah I mean there’s a lot of things to unpack you know and I do realize that some people really do
Need a therapist and I know there are pastors that are anti- therapists reason why I’m not anti- therapists I’m like why would I be anti-c conversation that brings healing sure you know the Bible says confess your faults one to another that you might be healed so I believe
There are people that need to unpack things through conversation but after all the conversation is done you’re still going to have to apply the very instruction of got to forgive them so what we don’t want to admit is we just don’t want to like just be honest
And just say I don’t want to forgive them it’s not that you can’t you don’t want to because you’re mad at them you’re harboring something and I had I’m not telling you you know I’ve been through a divorce you you know you’ve seen my whole process and journey me and
My ex-wife are fine now we’re cool we don’t we don’t hang out but it’s if I see her I can give her a hug how you doing hope all is well with right um but when I first got divorced I hated her like I I had hatred in my
Heart it’s like you people don’t know how hard that is people that ain’t never been through it that stuff is rough and she needed to forgive me for things and I needed to forgive her for things now here’s the thing I’m only responsible for me sure so what I realized was I
Didn’t want to forgive her so I would cry I can’t do it I can’t no you can you just don’t want to so the first step is admitting I just don’t want to because I want something bad to happen to them yeah everybody doesn’t want reconciliation some people want revenge
They want revenge and so if a person has hurt you bad if they molested you they beat you they stole from you they you know anything I mean there’s women that have been raped it’s hard to just be like oh you gotta forgive them I get it you got to unpack
That but you’re gonna have to be honest and say I don’t want to forgive this person because what they violated with me but if you tell God that Lord I don’t want to forgive him I believe he honors that level of honesty just like the man that said Lord I
Believe but help my unbelief in other words I don’t believe you over here like I don’t so you got to help me with that because I can’t obviously I can’t do it on my own so I think there comes a point where the god Reliance is okay God I am
Willing to forgive if you say that now it’s his responsibility to assist you in that that’s what the holy spirit is for to lead you and guide you in all truth you have to help me because the fruit of the spirit is forgivingness like that’s the Bible you forgive so if you like
Well I I don’t forgive then you can’t you don’t have the Holy Spirit because that fruit is going to eventually begin to convict you to whereas it’s like I’m not letting you kill me or what you did so it’s not always simple per se in the sense of recognizing what’s in there and
Unpacking some things but once you get to the root of it you’re just gonna have to decide I gota forgive them do you feel like as a body as a body I know individually it’s very nuanced as a body do you feel like uh we’re we’re making advances toward becoming more like Jesus
I know we talked about western church first is not Western where do you think we are if you had to take a post I don’t know cuz I think there’s a lot of churches that are very much like Jesus all over the world I just think we just
See a lot of American Church yeah and we be like American Church y’all why yeah think about something American church was built on on the back of racism so you know then when black people got a hold of Christianity which it was they didn’t give us Christianity Christianity
Was already in existence but when we got a hold of this version of it we were thinking of the master as slave driver pain suffering harshness so when we call God Master you’re only going to relate it to your perception based on your experiences that’s why black church was
So hard everything was hard it was legalistic they weren’t educated they were harsh they were mean-spirited because they came up in a if you do wrong you’re punished so I mean we just seen a lot and it’s evolved over the years of course more Revelation then we went through a weird season where
Everybody was just doing a lot of ice of Jesus in their Revelation it was a lot too boy I was listen L to a couple of old conferences the other day I said man they was giving us straight heresy and we were shouting and jumping because we had never heard anything like that
Before you know and I’m like God this stuff is man you know what I mean so I think there’s a lot of apologetics going on right now which that too can become an idol that can become an idol too so it’s it’s I think that there are plenty
Of churches that look like Jesus it’s just that we don’t always see them because they’re not always in America um but there are a lot of churches in America that I let me say at this I believe they’re doing the best they can like I know for sure my church we doing

Are as a people you being a prophet if God has uh giv you insight as he clearly has about what’s going on in the climate and where we are going um I think it’s necessary for people would be aware because I mean as we heard a couple weeks ago everybody’s not sober and

Simplify keep it simple all that good stuff um what encouragement would you offer offer to someone who is like they they say they want to but they’re just having a hard time getting over the hump of dealing with the difficult situation and they’re stuck well number one I would encourage
You to really and this is going to sound very generic but I’m I’m gonna look at the camera like they used to say back on the TV look at that camera and talk to those people I I want to encourage you that you got to pursue God wholeheartedly and honestly yeah man
When I was in a bad space I wasn’t being honest with God was like I don’t know if I thought he didn’t really know but I think there comes a point where you you you can’t lie to you the Bible says in the Book of Proverbs that God is able to measure
Your heart so why would you lie because he knows I’m paraphrasing he knows what’s in there so my thing is when you go to God and you’re having a hard time with a situation you have to tell him Lord I’m having a hard time with this situation yeah that’s really the
Beginning and again it sounds so simple like well no it’s got to be no it’s okay to tell God you hate somebody it’s not okay to hate him but it’s okay to tell him that you do sure sure because what you’re saying is I need you God it’s
Okay to tell God that you can’t get over this heartbreak I can’t God I’m in love with this person this hurts and he’s like that’s what I specialize in the Bible says that when the Apostle Paul acknowledged that he was weak then the Lord says okay now I can do what I want
To do because I’m trying to show you that you have to rely on me God is never going to bring us to a place of such security and prosperity that we don’t need to rely on him and the moment we think oh I don’t need to rely on God we
Lost it we missed it because he wants us to be God Reliant so be honest with the Lord tell them how you feel trust in him with all of your heart that’s what the Bible says do not lean to your own understanding and everything you do make
It known that you are you are his acknowledge it and then he says I promise I will show you what to do direct your paths just simply means I’ll show you what to do and if you do that I promise you you get out of your situation all right y’all I know that
