On January 13th, 2024, the Zeta Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated brought home six awards during the Georgia State Cluster meeting. The awards received are listed below:
– Arts and Letters Program of the Year
– Social Action Trendsetter – Chapter Award
– Highest of Five Distinguished Community Partner for Educational Development (Miss Black UGA Pageant)
– Innovation in Technology and Communication
– Advisor of the Year, Jennifer Richardson
– Collegiate Chapter of the Year
To win these awards, the chapter submitted essays that provided examples of their community initiatives, programming, and partnerships. Additionally, the essays highlighted chapter activities, leadership, and involvement.
To receive the distinguished Collegiate Chapter of the Year Award, the Zeta Psi Chapter demonstrated dedication to community service and social action.
“The Zeta Psi chapter takes care to develop its members, strongly aligns with Delta Sigma Theta’s National Strategic Plan, is recognized and awarded accordingly for its accomplishments, and has a vast and increasing community impact,” said First Vice President Brooke Bergeron. “Beyond adopting the philosophy that “there is always work to be done,” the chapter members truly conducted themselves in a trailblazing manner.”
