I am from uh the Midwest from Chicago Illinois um you know same as my my fellow brotherr um in iceberg um and the reason I moved North Virginia was really because of my wife you know she she went to University of Chicago when she graduated she came back and she said you
Know if you want to stay with me then you got to be what be where I am and so she dragged me out here and I was happy to come because I do love love Northern Virginia so okay how long have you been out here so I will say so I moved out
When I first moved out here I moved to to Germantown Maryland out in Cal country I with nothing out there um you know so then you know my wife and I got married we decided to buy a house in Alexandria so we bought a house in 2008
Um um and so ever since then you know we’ve been we’ve been in this been in this area so I will say I’ve been out here since about 2006 or so okay okay and um where did you play as your Alpha F Alpha yep yep so I play as Iota
Upsilon Lambda over in uh Silver Spring Maryland yep okay and why did you want to become an alpha yeah so I think you know for me you know and a lot of it you know and it should be I think it should be personal for everybody but for me um
You know it was more of everything that I that I saw about these guys on campus when I was in college um my my college my high school track coach was an alpha um you know he’s the one that kind of really helped support me while I was in
High school and running um and he was just just a good dude just really good guy and so um so when I got to college you know I I I learned a little bit more about the history about the values about you know what Alpha hoes dear to their
Heart the Brotherhood and so you know I want to be I want to be a part of that I think because for the most part you I have two two older brothers we’re super close and this camaraderie and the trust that I have and the respect that I have
For them I see those I see that same stuff in in the men of Alpha and so you know when I got to college um you know my my some of my best friends you know they pledge um you know something happened with that line um you know as
You know some of these things happened before but um you know afterwards I was like you know what that commitment you know always was in my heart and so um once I graduated um got a little bit of money cuz you know I had to pay for that
Application fee um I I was I was able to fortun enough to to to get back into it and pledge again with a with a good group of guys awesome awesome okay and then uh what made you want to ride a motorcycle that’s a good question I I
You know what I don’t I don’t know if there was anything you know where it started from to be quite honest with I can’t look back that far I think you know when I look about you know riding the motorcycle for me it was more I enjoy the flexibility of the freedom of
Being able to do my own damn thing right and so nobody could tell me um you know what I could and couldn’t do on a on a bike and um and so you know I like I like just having that Independence and so when my boy got a bike you know real
I was real close to him you know he he just got kept getting lonely he was like Hey listen you need to get a bike so we can ride out he was telling me all about the things that he used to do on his
Bike how he me all the girls and all the other kind of good stuff and so I like you know what I’ve always wanted one I was never brave enough but now that I know somebody that has one let me go ahead and get it and so so so I got my
Bike and my first bike was R six it was a um Yamaha R six then I upgraded um to to R1 I wanted a little bit more speed but know I wanted it because one because of the freedom the independence of it the the the rogeness of it right the you
Know just the the sure grid of it and so you know that that’s kind of what you know enticed me about having the bike at first okay so what do you ride now so I I still have my my Yamaha R1 um the the members of the club are not too happy
About that um because it it it paralyzes me from from those long those long haul uh events um because everybody know I’m not I’m not driving a riding a R1 to to to Texas that just ain’t happening right cuz I’m too old for that and so one day
I I I plan on upgrading to Harley and and as trip is here right now he can respect this I just got to figure out where to put it but um but yeah my my my R1 is is still here in the garage okay okay and so um so you you’ve
Been in Northern Virginia you have the uh motorcycle you an alpha um you know then there’s the the thought of you know establishing a motorcycle club a alpha motorcycle club and so um describe you know how you met the founders to include you you know how how how that process go
How that how that conversation go yeah yeah so so I mean you know shorty you know and and and Hollywood you know they’re the ones that really kind of you know started the conversations and kind of started Stu going um I’ve known you know shorty you know I knew him as
Lawrence you know from way back when you know he’s actually a friend of my wife and and her family and and I’ve always you know felt short was just a good dude and so when I found out he was Alpha he came to my wedding um you know just just
You know a good guy and so you always want to kind of make sure that you keep a certain circle of friends and and and those guys that that can help you help support you that you know that that’ll be know be there for you when the chips
Fall down you you always want to keep those those circle of guys and so know sh was just a good dude you know he always you know would just have a conversation with me and so so we we remain connected so when he got his bike
He had he had a a sexy um I think it was a BMW cuz you know he was bougie at the time um before he got his Harley and so um he he stay stayed in contact with me was like listen you know we’re thinking about joining you know having a
Motorcycle club and so at first I didn’t really know what a motorcycle club entailed because you only saw what you saw on television and what you heard about right it was kind of like those Rog Renegade dudes that would start fights and I didn’t really know a whole
Lot about it but he assured me that the group of guys that that that that that they were looking at to start is most like Club war going to be all alphas and just by knowing the history and knowing what Alpha is about I felt much better
With trying to you know you know be a part of that so so like said shorty introduced me you know introduced me to the guys um everybody had a conversation introduce each other and I think at that point I started I started I started started feel a little more vulnerable I
Started letting my guard down to say you know what I could actually I could actually do this CU because of the guys that was going to be a part of it they actually you know helped you you know kind of you know bring me in in a way
That I felt comfortable and I felt safe for the most part to join a motorcycle club you kind of knew who the officer was going to be just off the bat right because you know they talked a lot right so you knew you knew you knew Hollywood
And and and I mean this with all respect right cuz you know Hollywood is basically taking the Reigns of this um but you knew Hollywood was going to be president you knew short was going to be the BP you kind of knew what Iceberg was you know because of his Poss right so
You knew he was going to you know have a strong position and then me you know sergeant of arms so like you kind of knew where people were going to kind of fit in even though it was kind of like that silent rule where you know as
Opposed to somebody putting you into a box right so so so so that’s kind of how the has kind of got established I think initially when we first when we first joined and then you know you know even you know West so so you know it wasn’t a
Big group at first and so because it wasn’t a big group everybody had their you know had their their role that they had to play but but we we always knew the short end and Hollywood were going to be the president vice president and that’s what they y still today yeah so
So I’ll say that I think you know my experience to be quite honest with you you know I I you know we were trying to form this I really still wasn’t sure right and so you know going to you know you know meeting you know the guys at
Wills of Soul you know you know going to you know meet some of the function that they had like I’ll be honest with you I still wasn’t quite sure because I knew that that wasn’t the life I really wanted right like I I didn’t want to you
Know go to a you know go to a a a warehouse an abandoned Club to kind of like you know you know feel like I was you know you know um interacting with these group of guys right I wanted it to be obviously informal but but but you
Know you know those guys are crazy not that they not that they shouldn’t have been it’s just that that I wasn’t sure that that was my life right I I wasn’t position I was I was in I didn’t really want that so again I think this is kind
Of where you know you you know as you learn people and as you go through things with people you become you become stronger and closer to them and I think as I started hanging out with the guys more I realized that wasn’t the life that they also wanted to have right it
Wasn’t about the fights right cuz y remember remember you know when I when I first got you know to I went to one of the events you know the will Souls guys talked about you know them getting into a fight on the ride down to Philadelphia
And I’m like I ain’t about that life right and so that’s not what you know 06 Rivers was about either right and so you know and and forming this club again you know you know these guys you know wanted something different right and so but but
But we had to go through we had to go through the process right we had to meet everybody you have to meet you know the dominant you know dominant on the set and so so we met all you know met those guys and for the most part they they let
Us be who who we wanted to be right they let us create our own identity without trying to be them which was cool and so I was like you know what like okay I can respect that right like each individual motorcycle club is different and we wanted to be different on purpose right
And so so that’s kind of you know how it started right like you know going to a couple of different functions you know and and again I felt I sometimes I felt uncomfortable but but I felt uncomfortable in a good way because the brothers 06 Riders they kind of you know
Kept the shield around the club itself and so you didn’t feel like you had to you had to be will of souls you didn’t feel like you had to be a different 1% you didn’t feel like you had to be all that you only had to be 06 Riders and
That was a different identity and that’s kind of what kept me you know still actively engaged with the club okay you kind of knew that it was because of the way that things because you yeah you actually did because you knew that the guys that that were a part of the
Original the original um um um Founders and you knew the guys that that they started to kind of recruit and you just knew Alpha right and so because we we weren’t trying to half ass the right like people you knew that people going to be drawn to you right so we had
The the president of alpha you know we got like you know officers we got you know military like you know just just having that type of pedigree just in general you knew that they weren’t going to be about bs right so you kind of knew
That it was going to grow just just or organically right like you didn’t have to you know like we knew it right and so the more guys that that we met and the more that they were Alpha more than we learned the people were riding oh it was
A no-brainer like you like you know we so so absolutely you know I I think that you don’t necessarily see you we didn’t necessarily see this type of growth but you absolutely saw you know this motorcycle club growing for sure just just because of the just because of the
The individuals right that were part of the base case of what you know you I to started so you knew it was going to build and we knew who we were recruiting right like like the protocols like you know Stitch you know tank and you know
You know all those guys right I mean they were just good core individuals um so you knew it would grow for sure nice nice and so um roundups let’s talk about roundups right and uh you know each year Alphas go to a different city we all meet we
Fellowship what was your first round up and what was your experience like yeah so man so my first one I don’t think I went to the first one I think I went to the second one no wait a the first one the first one I can’t remember but but I
Went to the one the original so I will say this that the my first start was God damn this is well organized right like it was so organized and So like um succinct that that’s the when you asked me the question from the previous before
You knew that you knew that it was going to grow right because the feedback from it was that you guys like you know put on a great structured Roundup right it was super structured like like you know people were learning not you know not just having having fun so so so man it
Yeah the the you know the education the education around like you know you know what were the protocols you know um you know you know you know individuals you know you know learning about each other like that kind of stuff is just so invaluable and I think that you know we
Can forget like the rules the rules of the road right when for example when you ride a motorcycle right like the formations like that that kind of stuff is taught at the roundups right and so I think people that not necessarily part of a motorcycle club you learn that like
At the roundups right and so they’re like dang like you know these guys got their together so so again it I just remember this being so goddamn structured that people were just the feedback was just like this this is going want to be amazing so nice nice
Nice okay and then uh we’ll sort of go ahead and start wrapping up a little bit but uh just any other thoughts that you have about the the MC in general I mean you know I I think I mean this this has been you know I think you know just a blessing for
Anybody that’s been kind of been a part of it right I think that um you know you know all the for me personally right I never feel like alienated cuz you know want have a busy life just like as all of us do right um but I never felt
Alienated I never felt ostracized I never felt like I couldn’t be who I wanted to be outside of the 06 Riders right like you know people you know the the brothers of the club are still very much encouraging on the brothers of the club you know still are very supportive
I think that and I think that um you know you know you don’t you know you feel that you’re you still have a life outside of the club which is super important but you also feel like if you could if I called up on somebody like
Like like like shorty will always say to me T you know you lock jaw if you need me we’re there for you like don’t like don’t like stop thinking too much about it right and that’s just kind of how you feel you feel the Brotherhood is actually Bridge from actual core Alpha
And and who Alpha is right um and so that’s important and then the examples that you know the the food drives the the volunteerism like those type of things right are so important so critical just foundationally to who Alpha is 06 Riders like you know we live
That we breathe that like those kind of things are super important as well so you know the club has been amazing I just think that um I’m curious to find out I mean obviously an Alpha’s been around for years but you know another 50
Years it it’d be kind of cool to kind of see where this club can kind of go so very very proud of the brothers you know of you know of of the 06 Riders and everything that they’ve done and what they’ve been they’ve been to the community all right and and and thank
You you know trip you guys for Bishop all you guys for for you know really doing this I think you know you know having this history um and and and being able to you know tell the story is is important so appreciate that yeah so on
The set you know they called me Iceberg uh I am a native of the south side of Chicago uh born and bred uh been here in the DMV since the early 1990s you’ve been here for uh you know quite a while prob over quite a while I stopped Counting about 15 years
Ago all right understand you went to college in Baltimore right yeah yeah yeah so originally uh I started uh uh college at the University of Illinois in urana Champagne uh spent the first couple of years of college there uh then uh while I was there uh got an internship in the
DC area love the area so much um I knew that you know I was going to stick around the area after graduating from college I ended up transferring to Morgan State University earning a degree in electrical engineering me pledging Alpha was kind of the first half of my
College career uh I did that as a student at the University of Illinois back in the fall of 1988 I grew up uh like a said in Chicago however my parents are from Mississippi so we used to spend every summer in Mississippi where I learned how to ride on my
Cousin’s dirt bike uh I was way too young to be riding that bike and you know hopefully nobody here tells my mother but uh that was probably right around age um age nine nine or 10 um didn’t ride really in high school but my dad
Rode and so I rode with him on the back of his bike as a kid uh all over the city of Chicago I did actually start start riding myself until probably uh 20 2009 or 2010 somewhere along that along that time what was the uh the first making
Model your first yeah and my first bike that I bought myself was 2011 uh it was a um it was a brand new uh Harley-Davidson Fat booy um uh I wanted the I always was into the cruiser look and uh figured at that age I was
Way too old to get into sports bike for the first time and U I just I just love that Terminator bike so found a uh a little black one uh Vivid black of course the same color as most Harley and uh had that one for a couple of years
Before I bought my first touring bik did you any customization to the fat board what did I customize on that thing I think the first weekend and I had it I ripped the uh ripped the exhaust off like most of us do I think I actually ordered the exhaust and it was waiting
At my house before the bike was even ready so uh the only customizations I did back time back then were um the exhaust system I ripped out and put a new cleaner on and uh I put leather bags on uh and a detachable windshield uh I
Think that was about as far as as I went for customizations on that first Bight shorty and I who’s also one of the founders um we’ve known each other for years we’re in the same fraternity chapter and I had just finished my second term as the chapter president and
Shorty and I have been talking for years about buying our own bikes and getting out there on the road and um uh once I said well let me wait till this term is over and then we’ll start looking so uh we started and I bought the the initial
Fat boy uh shorty bought a u BMW uh adventure bike and next thing you know he and I are on the road anyway uh he’s also good friends with Hollywood who I knew uh from years before but Hollywood had been planning a seed about starting a
Motorcycle club so he and shorty and a couple of other brothers have been talking about it for a while and I just kind of you know in one ear and out the other ear but the more and more we got out there at least as a group and
Started to see more clubs uh see them at events uh see them uh on the road you know the the the more and more we started talking about okay well maybe there is some some some something behind this idea uh which was Hollywood’s idea by the way of having an all Alpha
Motorcycle club uh so you know we started talking about it this is probably around 201 2012 um before we you know started uh the process in Earnest and me uh I’m a I’m a research guy you know I don’t want to just talk about it I want to
Understand what is it about the culture and how to actually do this the right way so uh we started talking to guys guys who were in clubs uh we started getting on internet chat boards that were made up of folks in the black motorcycle Community just to understand
Hey what is this culture all about and when it comes to you know people on the outside kind of coming in what is the process what the process should be to you know start up a club uh be accepted and respected from the beginning and and more importantly what are the things
That people do that get you shunned immediately so those were the things that we kind of looked up uh back then okay so it’s you Hollywood and shy uh and eventually you know you had to get the other two yeah yeah yeah so uh apparently the original idea of
Having an all Alpha Motorcycle Club Hollywood and siik with it who went to college together had actually been talking about this for years uh uh before uh they both went to norol State University down in norol Virginia um so you know they they started talking about the idea um
Because Hollywood and shorty were good friends he passed on the idea to him shorty brought the idea to me uh and uh lockjaw uh lockjaw and shorty had known each other for a couple of years and uh lock jaw Road a sport bike and so we kind of brought him into the
Conversations early on U so that was kind of the core group and we had a couple of other fraternity brothers who actually were members of established MC’s so they were friends of ours and they were always around to kind of give us some some tips so you know big shout
Out to Holyfield from the game 7 uh big shout out to Ranger uh from the Maryland mother chapter Buffalo Soldiers MC see those guys gave us some early tips on how to navigate this thing if we were serious about doing it yeah the set name those are always good stories
So if uh if you think about the the the characteristics of an ice you know you think about the fact that this thing is sitting at the top of the water but the mass of the the whole iceberg is really below the surface which implies that there’s much more
To what you’re seeing than what’s directly in front of your eyes and so you know the guys kind of uh always Associated that with me um because I didn’t really necessarily talk much during those first interactions but when I did uh bring up a point or when I did
Expound on something everybody kind of looks like where did LS come from so that was kind of the first one the second one is that you know icebergs are known for uh being completely immovable you know the Titanic had his last experience with something that was
Immovable and what do they say uh what happens when a a Unstoppable object meets an the movable Force you know what I I say that to say I’m probably known for being a little bit stubborn and so the name kind of fit we would ride to different events say between Virginia
And North Carolina and every time we had a chance to sit down with a club we would you know always talk about what was the local scene like and everybody always talked in terms of whoever the dominant was in that particular area so if we were in Richmond they may talk
About this particular Club if we were up in Northern Virginia everybody seemed to talk about this one particular Club um even when we would go to bike nights uh we might see a handful of members of that club there um but uh you know all of the other
Clubs that we would interact with all refer to the same uh uh Club as the dominant one in this particular area so through us talking to folks and just networking across the set we knew that if we were going to be serious we had to figure out how to actually reach someone
From that dominant with some decisionmaking Authority so that we could present who we were and what we wanted to do but yeah really just Word of Mouth uh and and networking was how we actually um uh figured out who the dominant was in our particular area and
Then it was just a matter of all right um let’s start networking and finding who’s a member of the club elsewhere and then maybe they can put us in touch with someone who can put us in touch with someone until eventually we can get to someone with any kind of authority who
Would actually chat with us and listen to what we had to say so we we figured out that we needed to talk to uh a gentleman from Wheels of Soul his name was action and action was uh really an area or Regional uh officer and uh Hollywood finally got um in touch
With the president of the local Wheels of Soul chapter who finally passed him on to action so uh before we actually got to action we had worked uh tirelessly on really two major things that we all had to come to agreement on uh really three the first thing was our
Name the second thing was our patch design you know shout out to my man sick with it because without his artistic abilities we would have just spun our Wheels forever before we actually got to a p design that we all could agree upon and then the third thing was really uh a
Group effort uh between myself uh Hollywood and shorty which was all about building out our first set of bylaws because we were always told that if you step to a dominant and you know they may recognize you from the set they want to know how prepared you are to enter into
The set as a club so they would probably want to see what is your name what are your patches and maybe want to check out your bylaws so we worked on all of that up until that particular day that particular day Hollywood says all right action has
Decided to meet us but uh we need to meet him at this gas station uh out in wo area of Virginia uh right out in the middle of nothing on the way to I think we were past middleberg heading towards Winchester so we we all get our bikes we
Ride out there and we were actually accompanied by one of our other fraternity brothers who was a member of another MC so he said I’m going to go out there with you and just kind of hang in the back just to make sure that you know everything goes okay so we ride
Through the countryside of Virginia and we end up in this particular gas station and so we park and uh we just kind of hanging out just just waiting to see whether he’s going to show up and we probably sat out there for about a good
20 30 minutes before we look out on the corner coming from the north there’s this one guy uh older gentleman on his bike by himself and nobody else is around well seemingly no one else is around uh and he comes by and just rolls by by us real slow I mean he’s looking
Up and down and you know really trying to uh uh uh really trying to size us up and we were like okay this this just got real uh he pulls his bike over gets off his bike and you know he’s got this um uh really heavy voice and he’s like hey
What’s up I’m action he goes down the line and introduces himself to all of us shakes our hand we all kind of look them in the eye introduce ourselves and um Hollywood really became to talk to him and said hey these are the guys I was
Telling you about you know we want to uh be come out on the set as a new motorcycle club and and Hollywood even tells the story about how we were all brought together by our membership in the fraternity and how the whole uh writing thing thing was an additional layer that
Kind of brought us all together and um you know actually listen to that and and and understood it instantly um and I’m sitting there uh we had even decided who was going to be the actual offices if we actually made it out of this meeting with a thumbs up so
I was going to be the secretary I’m actually holding a folder with the design of the patches and a draft of the bylaws he comes over and looks at the folding he doesn’t care whatsoever about one line of the bylaws all he cared about was let me see your patch design so we
Showed him the patch design and um he kind of looked at it looked at us he said okay okay and then the words I’ll never forget gave me back the folder he goes back to talk to Hollywood for a little bit then he looks at all of us
And says uh you guys have done your home homework uh I’ve met and and and chatting with you U uh before now and uh I want to give you all my blessing to operate as a club and with that you know he shook our hands hopped on the bike took off and
Probably there were about 50 other guys in areas that we didn’t even recognize but then they all took off as well and we kind of looked at each other and we were like okay I think we just became a club I’ll never forget that day in my
Life had the first work on getting our patches and cuts put together uh so we went through all of that um we still got out and um supported other clubs events uh really more so uh from the standpoint of hey you know we wanted clubs to at
Least started to recognize at least in our local area hey new club out there just been blessed um you know we get we get challenged a couple of times we know who to actually to name drop in case that happened then we really started focusing on more of the foundation of the
Organization um and one Topic in particular was all right well we’re going to get out there there will be fraternity brothers that will recognize us they will recognize kind of the imagery on our patches and say hey you guys are a motorcycle club just for Alphas I’m interested in you know
Looking and seeking membership so then we had to figure out okay well what was what were going to be the unique elements of a prospect process and so um you know we finally figured out a bit of a structure for that and then the first expansions that we actually had was a
Gentleman who lived over on the other side of DC and Marland uh wrote a little R1 I knew he wasn’t going to be able to keep up with us but we said okay we’ll we we’ll let him start coming through so yeah we had to put together quickly a
Framework for our prospecting process and it was really important for us to infuse some of the elements that we were pretty familiar with having been members of the fraternity so for example the idea that a prospect has to successfully uh lead and execute their own services project in the name of the
Club as one condition of their entire Prospect process so you know we we we were putting a lot of that in place and instantly having to use it as we went through the initial uh Prospect process for Prospect number one so now that we’re you know an officially bless club
Uh our first order of business was to um put together cuts and get get put together our patches um Hollywood worked with uh some folks that he knew uh who actually gave us the first design of our cuts um and uh we were probably a couple of months
Later uh were out uh for the first time with our Cuts I think we went to a uh biker event up in New Jersey and that was the first time we had actually been out with our Cuts in public so that was actually pretty cool um some of the other
Foundations uh that we put together at the time were probably more what I would consider um Traditions that were meaningful to us so you know besides us just getting out and networking with other clubs um eventually we knew that there were going to be other fraternity brothers who
Actually rode who may want to seek membership so now we had to start thinking about uh what were going to be the Traditions that we were going to bring to traditional prospecting that were Traditions that were much more meaningful to us this is where membership in the
Fraternity kind of gave us some idea so our fraternity is all about um service to others and so we wanted to bring an element of that into our club Prospect uh process so we created One requirement there’s a couple of requirements but one in particular is that every successful
Prospect has to um have and demonstrate the ability to execute and lead a service project in the name of the club so that was one tradition that we wanted to kind of put into our prospecting framework um so we had a couple of ideas like that and we figured okay at some
Point you know we’ll we’ll be able to put this all in practice well the opportunity to put this in practice came fairly quickly we found uh a guy who uh reached out to us via social media and uh he’s a fraternity brother over in Maryland and he said hey you
Know I ride uh I’ve been following you guys on social media you know I’m interested in you know hanging out coming to meet you and maybe looking into membership name is Evan Jones um I’ll never forget the first time he actually roll with us uh we were
Riding from uh from from from shantell to Chesapeake and you know we were on our Touring bike so we’ve got our stuff packed and really comfortable this young F pulls up on an R1 uh he’s got his bags packed on the tank and I’m thinking to myself we are
Going to ride a couple of hours in traffic with this guy on an R1 this is probably not going to end too well um and this guy was just so excited and um you know we uh we we we start to roll down and we get into formation and uh
Our meet up spot was a gas station so we told everybody hey the expectation is you going to gas up and then we’re going to leave out inform formation go down a couple of hours before we decide to pull off and stretch our legs and reg
Gas so we ended up uh riding for about 10 15 minutes this young fell forgets to gas up and he pulls up next to me I’m tail gunning and looks at me points to his gas tank and then points to the exit and I’m thinking this guy has been
Riding with us for 10 15 minutes and now I’m pissed because we got some place to be uh we laugh about it now that young Evan Jones ended up being uh our first Prospect um he is actually now the vice president of our chapter in Baltimore uh we call him
Tank so shout out to you tank but you still pissed me off that first 15 minutes my original Vision was uh a club that has a level of Brotherhood uh a little bit above and beyond kind of what initially brought us together uh there’s the love of writing and all of that but
I think what we were looking for was uh a uh an additional set of bonds and an environment where we could just really be who we need who we wanted to be and who we needed to be and if that was in the backdrop of a larger construct which
Is the MC set um which we all are uh really respect the traditions of that set then you know all the better that was really kind of the vision that I had when we first put all of this together um the vision going forward um are we
Ever going to be a really large MC probably not um again we chose to limit ourselves by the membership and the fraternity but what that does is allows us to focus on quality Brothers as opposed to just chasing quantity and that’s really what’s more important to
Me than anything um I think we we still want to grow uh we still uh love having the network of other chapters and interest outside of just Northern Virginia um so my vision uh going forward is that we continue to grow but we never um um we never uh
Uh what’s the word I’m looking for we never scrimp when it comes to the quality of the brothers and the bonds that we’re trying to create we that’s that’s one thing that’s non-negotiable so as we grow we we want to grow in ways that make sense in ways that are
Meaningful to us as a club and that in ways that will continue to grow uh well beyond our time as done I ice appreciate it brother all right yeah I’m shorty uh 06 Riders MC I’m the VP of uh Hearn and chapter and also one of the co-founders one of the five
Co-founders of uh the club uh I started riding motorcycles in 2010 I was interested and just got hooked from the first ride at the motorcycle the course so um yeah like literally I think I actually got the plaque of like uh the Need for Speed or something in the 25
Mph course that we was doing anyway um from there I didn’t know what bike at all I wanted to have but I ended up buying a BMW R1200 RT one of the sports Cruisers and uh you know it was sexy it’s not a club B though so I now have
Alicia who is a 2014 uh street light special and I call her Alicia because uh she got a little bit of red bone I joined uh Alpha fi Alpha on uh May 21st 1995 uh Z for Lambda I am the fifth uh in my line and so one of the
Things that we might and you might see this in uh or notice it is that each of us with our name actually has a number associated with it and that was a conscious decision that we did as Founders in order to name everybody with uh their line number associated with the
Games hence tripwire number two trip chire Bishop number one Bishop so yeah everybody got that designation um and so really the whole reason why we founded the club is to well first of all we all love to ride motorcycles and we knew that we can extend the arm of alpha
Through motorcycles and as such I think that one of the things that we really developed in this club is a bond of Brotherhood on another level Hollywood is President and he’s been such uh he is the if anybody is a founder of this club it is Hollywood Rod
Bell he’s the one that came up with the idea he already had the name established through his fantasy football league he’ll tell yall the story I remember that he met me at um in hearnen over at this uh TGI Fridays or something like that
And we sat down he was like hey man I’m thinking about starting a motorcycle club I was like oh word he’s like you interested I’m like I think so but I mean what he’s like so you know just kind of does like this we need to have five
People uh you know I already got sick with it who’s down in uh Hampton and uh we just need to get uh we need to have five people to start it so I said oh wait a minute I know Chris Washington and uh Tony fights they ride so we asked around
Got the people and then that ended up being the five so Rod Bell Hollywood uh me shorty Lawrence shorton VP um we had uh Iceberg the secretary Chris Washington um sick with it West Wesson was Sergeant at Arms and uh the treasurer was um Tony Fikes who we call
Lock y’all so we got blessed off by Wheels of Soul so it was kind of like what does that mean uh we found out who was um the dominant Club in the area we also got a lot of guidance through another brother that we call Holyfield who was in another club at the
Time but really was also instrumental in helping us through navigating the streets if you will so we found a dominant club we went to them uh we actually met up with uh their president um Out of Water we rode we rode our out there and uh uh he
Told us to meet us at meet him at this place at this time and we did and from that I’ll put a little prop out here um The Story Goes that we met with uh action at waterl and he rolls up um and Hollywood goes over
And talks to action and he’s like uh back and forth I’m like oh matter what they back I don’t know what they saying then Hollywood does like this and then the rest of us come over and so action is got a really Gruff voice it’s like he
Got palps and all this stuff right he’s like mother just grunning and growling and he’s just a old crusty dude yo um he looked at our patch design he’s like put this over here like okay whatever so we did that we now learn and understand why he did that and
What what he said but he gave us this right here that I keep with me all the time and it’s his business card that says you have just met a member of an outlaw motorcycle club God forgets God forgives we don’t and so each of the founders have
That mine is laminated is uh it’s a courtesy card is what it is and so I keep that on me all the time uh that’s a founding momento and um it’s always a mud cut so he blessed us he gave us the uh the green light to go ahead and become a
A club and we did on September 29th 20 2013 in water Virginia by action wheels of sot we are not a riding club we are not a social club we are founded and purposefully as a Motorcycle Club a lot of people will ask you what MC stands for and some may
Say motorcycle club some may say men’s club but it’s specifically we wanted it to be on the motorcycle club in a 99% World um all of us are professional all of us are alphas all of us are uh family men and uh what we do as I said before we extend
Ourselves of alpha through the motorcycle club so as such we wanted to be I mean you know you come out and you start a club on the real you got to have some kind of street cred and it’s not like we had boom just right off the bat you got
To go out and meet people you got to go out and introduce yourself you got to go to other things you got to invite people over your stuff you got to ride your and we rode we rode from DC to St George Floyd Memorial in um uh Milwaukee
Wisconsin we rode to uh I mean Hollywood done rode across the United States and back we rode to Houston we rode to Nashville we rode to uh New Orleans we we we R and y’all know that and y’all know that because what we say like be boy scout prepar um it might rain
Okay that’s right be prepared for that it might be cold okay yeah that’s right be prepared for that so we ride we ride safely but we ride together and we ride as one so tank is the first initiate right he uh after once we founded the club in
2013 we were five for a minute we were fir for a minute but we was meeting all the time we was getting together as much as we could we go out to different fraternity things we go out to different set things we go out and do whatever and then somehow I don’t even
Know how tank who the tank meet I don’t even know who we met in order to get with us but next thing I know tank rolled up in this gixer uh 650 I’m like bro we going to Charlotte North Carolina he’s like I’m good shorty let’s
Go anyway I think about that that was a good little ride for me not so much for him um how we expanded is that I got this expression I don’t even know where I got it from but it just fits so much the mold here of hardwood grow slow I
Know where we got that from because we met this um Buffalo Soldier at their Buffalo Thunder event and they’ve been instrumental Buffalo Soldiers MC has been instrumental in the growing of this club here 06 Riders we got the same colors we got a lot of fraternity
Brothers in that club a lot of props to the Buffalo Soldiers um we went to Buffalo Soldiers and we met up with this brother and he and he was like oh I Friday okay cool cool where y’all from oh here hearnen oh okay good good you said you know how many
People y got said man we got five we got five brothers and he was like man let me tell you something I’d rather ride with five soldiers then with 25 Knuckleheads and I was like word so from there um we met tank tank met us he’s expressed interest he
Asked about it and we developed what the process would be for prospecting and I tell you what it took tank about two and a half years between babies marriages divorces new bikes all of this and tank busted it out the whole everything and from there that
Was the blueprint of what we needed to do to have prospects for the rest of the uh the club so right now we sitting like almost like 25 members would I have thought we’ve been here today in 10 years no nope two chapters nope no but I’m I’m I’m thankful for
Every brother that’s in this this in this club how did all that get developed and how did you all determine the language to establish you know what is the the foundation for how we operate good question for Iceberg because he did a lot of the heavy lifting when it came to the or
Oranization of uh the internal Runnings of the of the of the club um but it basically a lot of it came from the foundation the foundational structure of IOD dorsy uh scholarship endowment Foundation which um is that uh Iceberg and I were yeah both of us were members
Of and been uh you know fundraisers and a board members of also so that’s also another extension of alha we didn’t reinvent a lot of the wheels so we’ve developed some bylaws we looked at different examples and we just kind of put our Alpha heads to work in order to
Develop these things now you know then we got Stitch and he did a whole other different thing on the bylaws boy brought it down to like machine level and I tell you what those are some rock solid bylaws so um yeah that’s about uh uh the structure you know we kind of
Self voted in in a way uh and it made sense because right now we still got three of the founders that are still in their original positions uh and that’s all up to vote right that’s all up to vote so um where do I see the MC 5 or 10 years
From now yeah 5 or 10 years from now I’m going be between 55 and 60 years old and um you know and I literally I thought about Stitch cuz I’m like wait a minute that mean he going to be 65 to 70 years old so we got to continue to bring in new
Blood um and we do so by doing the right things and doing those things right I think that we’re doing a good job of that um we have two chapters now uh our my goal and I’m sure the Hollywood would say the same and our vision has always been to become
National so you need a chapter in five different states in order to become eligible to be a national uh club and uh I think that we’re on our way we got some little seeds planted you know but we got some good brothers that uh that are the nucleus of
Uh those seeds and soon to become so yeah we want to continue to um to be Alphas that are in a motorcycle club and that’s that’s our our our foundation that’s our our beginnings that’s our future um I really didn’t think it was going to be hard hard to I
Never I thought we would always be we would never be large but we could always be strong and that’s where the hardwood uh grow slow also kind of comes from so yeah my first desire to ride motorcycles came when I was very small um my father used to work at the North
NE Shipyard and I guess when the sailers came in all of them had motorcycles so whenever we would droing him off at the gate we used to see like 50 60 motorcycles all outside the gate all different kinds and I was like me and my other brothers would be like
That’s my motorcycle that’s my motorcycle that’s my motorcycle that’s my motorcycle but but uh ever since then you know we always wanted to ride one he had one we were younger but he said he sold it because he didn’t want us to go in the garage and mess with and and fall
On us you know what I’m saying so I just uh always wanted to ride one cuz it seemed like a cool thing to do while I was at North State I didn’t know anything about frats or nothing like that until I got to North State and
Then I played football so I had a q a sigma and but no Alphas playing football at the time but you know saying we used to go to the sweat boxes the dances on Thursdays or Fridays and then you know they do their little we did our party
Hops or whatever and U so then I just looked at them like oh okay do you little research online you ask them you know ask the ones on the football team basically why they became became what they became they all of them had mentors and stuff like
That you know what I’m saying teachers are somebody that helped them out they dad or Uncle you know what I’m saying was this that and um me I looked at the first one alpha for Alpha and it was like David was the first interg Greek fraternity for black
Negro men so then it’s like after that everybody can say hey I can do that but I’m going to call it this but it’s the same damn thing you know what I’m saying so basically they they biting you know what I’m saying now they may have branched off to do something different
That we don’t have but at the end of the day it’s still biting um so and then plus like once I narrowed it down I didn’t know that I had a couple outfits in my class you know what I’m saying um but then when they had an
Interest meeting I went up there and I was like yo I play football I’m from Southside right across the street basically on the other side of the tunnel and you know I’m saying I just came to see what y’all was about next thing you know I’m getting an interview
Like hey uh would you like to become a member I was like yeah okay they was like you play football right I’m like yeah I play football like oh so you cross football I’m like no no it was like oh okay okay but yeah um we’ll give you a call next thing you
Know um I let my grade slip a little bit cuz I you know what I’m saying going through some stuff with my brother my family or whatever and then I crossed football and I was like oh and I was like okay after I crossed football it was like got another call
Hey did you pick your grades up I like yeah man I got three I’m good all right bet uh wait for the call I got got the call again next thing you know I’m an alpha now um when I guess when and why did you have that first desire to start an MC
Motorcycle club that came in 200 10 the spring semester everybody at North well not everybody because I I’m a Greek now so can’t say everybody but you know the frat brothers and stuff like that was saying they was getting their motorcycle license and all this other
Stuff I was like oh okay he was like these Deltas got their license this you know what I’m saying Sig got his license they were getting their license I said oh okay so where y’all bike at they was like man we ain’t got no bikes them Jes
Cost whatever you know I’m saying they cost too much I was like oh okay so I said I’mma do one better couple weeks later I said effort I went and bought me a motorcycle and it was like yo yo license I like I ain’t got no license I went and got the bike
Y’all got y’all license but y’all ain’t got no bike I went and got a bike and then I got my license um and then after that cuz I was like everybody going to ride everybody going to ride you know what I’m saying we can do a motorcycle
Club like e motorcycle club but then it was like I’m the only one with a bike well um I guess what inspired you to find to be the founding of the old six Riders what inspired you to to be a family member uh you did what that was what 2011 2011 I was
Up there we were homecoming homecoming R I was sitting on my bike with my helmets AKA sick with it um with my little see I’m artistic so I went on ahead and bought I was like how can I be sweet set myself up from everybody else
I had a lacrosse vest that I spray painted white but then I put the black and gold accents on it kind of look like blumber be like it was my body armor and stuff like that with my uh gorilla helmet and people like oh that’s
That J sweet that J sweet yeah I know that’s why I did it and then you came up like yo this J ni he’s like that J sick I’m like yeah it is thank you he was like yo you trying to ride like like yeah man whatever like like you want to
Start a club I was like yeah I’m trying to start a club but everybody got their license but then nobody got a bike so I’m riding by myself and then you was like yo uh I’mma talk to some people and I’mma get back with you cuz I know it’s
Some other one other brothers that ride so we can put something together I was like just let me know just let me know I’m ready to go and then I was like oh damn okay I’m going be a we going to start our own little little club jint
Like okay but I a I didn’t know like the whole MC RC SC and all the different things only thing I know is MC you know what I’m saying so I’m thinking MC all the RC stuff you know so how did how did you meet the other Founders I’ve met them through you
Um I think we were in a call I think our first meeting was a conference call to get to know each other um introduce ourselves and stuff like that and then uh we started conversing group me text group text and all this other stuff and then next thing you know um went up
There in Northern Virginia all of us got together Northern Virginia and we went riding we went riding a couple times I think and then next thing you know uh while I’m back at the house said hey we got to go meet uh we got to go meet
Somebody who we going to meet oh we going to meet this guy named uh action oh he’s the dominant was a soul I’m like okay now I’m thinking this is before I got introduced to Sons of Anarchy so I don’t know what no dominant is I don’t know what I’m just like all
Right it’s just some you know what I’m saying some we got to we got to get permission from like like in the mafia or something like that so um that is what it is a skip so so and again I’m going to be editing it to so um how did
You learn about set life protocol and even just starting the MC all that came from the precursor Eric easterling he was the only one in the club so he’s not a he’s not a founding member but he was basically our CC pointex that you like to call him he
Told us everything about Club what we should uh Club life set life what we should do or not do when we uh when we interact with the you know like the 1centers we uh we basically got all our information from him you know that’s a group
Effort because we we all alphas and it’s the only Alpha Motorcycle Club so basically our when we sat down found us sat down we thought about we got a love for riding motorcycles but how can we like keep it exclusive and still show Alpha without saying we’re Alphas you know what I’m
Saying without having the alpha because all that’s trademark and stuff so basically the old6 riders came up and what 06 all of us 06 all Alpha scream 06 and then we just Riders motorcycles you know we I got the call to come up Northern Virginia because we had to meet
Okay so we went to I rode up there we supposed to meet a guy named action Wills of Soul he was a former uh National president of the wills of Soul which is the dominant motorcycle club in Northern Virginia we’re based out of Northern Virginia even though I’m the only one here um
Um he took a ride I think through dumre and the hearnen area so uh Hearn it out to waterl yeah okay so we went out the went out to Hearn to waterl met out a gas station we were there uh it was myself Hollywood uh Iceberg Eric easterling and
Shorty all of us were there and basically we just got there all excited like oh okay well where he at where he at next thing you know like couple minutes later about five 10 minutes later we see one guy riding his his big Gold Wing or whatever he was
Riding to the parking lot and we like okay and then Eric was like hey uh I’m pretty sure he has a lot of people watching him right now so don’t go bum rushing him you know take your time he going he going to ask to speak to somebody and then we
Going to go up there and like one at a time like okay so um Hollywood went up there introduced himself yes the president and uh he had the the uh they call it rags I cut uh logo on it we show he showed it to him
He said all right we got to fix a couple things on it it’s too many looks like too many pieces and then next thing you know he was like all right so introduce y yourself so uh like you said we a’t can’t bur Rush him like oh yeah we did no
No after Hollywood shook his hand I think it was uh shorty then I think it was uh Iceberg and then uh Eric and then myself each and every time after somebody shook his hand they stood to the side and then he stuck his hand out like giving us the okay to come and
Shake his hand you know that that kind of thing cuz uh like I said it’s all new to us the only one that knew it was like Eric so we tried to make sure that uh make sure we you know what I’m saying follow protocol and not not do anything silly
That a calls you know what I’m saying him to him to call other people or whatever so why is the’ 06 Riders why why are we not a support club we not a support Club because we already support alphas and our brothers uh plus we want to stay neutral we don’t
Want to get any anybody’s beef we don’t want to get you know what I’m saying like mandated that we go help somebody else like uh a dominant club that may be beefing with somebody else it’s almost like being back on campus um everybody’s beefing but you the
Mediator you know what I’m saying or you get to step back because some Sometimes some things can’t be mediated so you just want to step back and let everybody know like hey y’all need to figure it out y yourself but we going to pull back um while we doing that we still getting
Brothers reclaimed to come back to Alpha you know what I’m saying some people don’t like the politics just like that’s why it took me a long time to get back into a grb chapter which I’m still searching for the right gr chapter for myself it’s too much politics everybody
Want to um be the man I should say everybody want to go their way but with this motorcycle club everybody has an opinion you know what I’m saying everybody’s opinion is taken into consideration you know what I’m saying granted you got the president vice president you got all that chain of
Command but everybody who’s a patched member still has a say and can bring up issues and the issues get resolved the correct way instead of you know what I’m saying clicking up over here and over here we all Brothers which United in Alpha and that’s the main thing we
Already brothers so we already basically know what each other went through to become an alpha so that’s kind of like that ends one of the uh the Hang-Ups had like three or four vests already you know what I’m saying like I got the bulletproof vest with the a5a on
It the fall7 stuff up there that’s what I thought we was going to be doing but you know coming with the motorcycle set you got to have your own specific U logos and stuff and that’s what we got and basically it’s becoming more businesslike you you know handle we
Still handle the business of alpha as well as motorcycle club set stuff you know and we help each other out we talk to each other we hang I hang out with the motorcycle club more and want to hang out more than what I do with the
Brothers I came in with you know what I’m saying that’s why we say it’s Brotherhood on another level you know what I’m saying and um as far as the future goes I I see us only going up you know what I’m saying cuz uh we get people that’s interested all
The time people see me riding down here people see everybody riding in Baltimore and hearnen and they ask yo who is that who is that we do community service giving back to Alpha doing what we love doing riding with each other smoking cigars going to uh meetings and
Conferences and stuff like that together as brothers right with y’all because it was towards the end and I went up there just to see y’all say what’s up but uh soon as I got there it was like so much love from the other brothers oh yeah you
The one that’s you the one that yes yes I am and I’m happy to say that yes I am a Founder you know what I’m saying cuz it’s now it’s like you don’t want to toot your own horn but sometimes you got to you know what I’m saying and also too
Uh it’s made me grow up up a lot you know what I’m saying being a Founder because you still want to act immature be like yeah ride no no no no because you still for one you’re a alpha two you’re in a club now and you’re a
Founder of a club and it doesn’t look good for me to be doing wild stuff on a motorcycle you know what I’m saying when I when I Club stands for safety on the road looking out for each other on the road cruising having fun
Uh all that wild stuff no no I can’t and plus I can’t even pop a Willie on a on a pedal bike so I a popping no wheelies on no motorcycle no I got a motorcycle to look sweet and roide with my brothers so that’s what I’m going to do with my
Helmet my my cut and everything else I knew I wanted to be an alpha um I attended North State University on a track scholarship uh I stayed in Scott Hall and across from me from my uh dorm room were two Alphas uh Nate and Jerel
And I think uh Jerel had a a gold postar uh back in the day and I said man everything black and gold with them um but I saw what they did on campus I saw what they did in the community and I just saw how they carry themselves and I
Knew right then I wanted to align myself um with them um not just because of some of the famous alfit I knew but you know basically just watching them doing what they do kind of uh led me into the path of wanting to be an alpha and then after
That the rest is history how did the name 06 Riders come about um oh well pretty simple right uh we were founded in 1906 so I took the last number uh the last two number which is 06 and basically added Ryder MC um so basically you get the 06 Riders MC MC meaning
Motorcycle club um there’s more history to that but we’re not going to get that deep into it um and I always knew I wanted to to start a motorcycle club for Alphas so I’ve always I was I’ve been riding for 20 30 almost 30 years and I
Would always get contacted oh you should come over here and join our motorcycle club or you should join this motorcycle club but I knew I wanted to kind of start my own and um back in 2006 uh I was playing in a Epi fantasy football league and and I named my football team
The 06 Riders right now that was in 2006 so let’s fast forward to now 2011 and then um I get with sick with it and and and sick with it is uh he also attended Nori State University and it was at a homecoming I said sick man we
Need to start our own motorcycle club and he was like yo let’s do it and then but we got to find some more people so that that kind of fested for a while in between when we were actually uh started to from 2011 to when we actually started
Was two years uh I was able to to talk to shorty um him and I stepped together on the same uh Step Team Alpha Nova and then he knew uh Iceberg and then also knew uh lock jaw so basically that’s how the name came about and that’s how the
Found five Founders came about of the 06 Riders it started back in 20 6 me just coming up with the name and then in 2011 me talking to sick with it and then that 2-year period actually you know talking to shorty talking to Iceberg and then uh
Lock y’ and it all just grew from there so today we have the 06 Riders and that’s how it started yeah so when I um when I when I started this motorcycle club I came up with the idea uh and then we actually started our first chapter I
Really thought this thing was going to take off right like oh man we going to have motor cycle uh clubs everywhere alpha alpha F Alpha but for the 06 Riders uh and I was excited I was ready to go and the next thing I knew is uh it
Wasn’t going as fast as I thought not a lot of Alphas Rod motorcycles we’re seen as oh the the nerdy guys or whatever but we built different right we we’re different type of guys different type of alphas and um so shorty my VP he was like look slow down you know hardwood
Grow slow and I really had to step back and take a look at wow yeah it it it it really is going to grow slow right you know um my my Envision or I always wanted to kind of be uh for us to become National and and National is um five
Different clubs or chapters in five different cities and five different states and basically that’s how you become National um so I had to kind of sit back on that and be like all right I need to wait a little a while or or just let it let it come cuz everybody is not
Made to be uh an 06 Rider um is it’s it really is a culture and we are already frat brothers right but being a frat brother on another level in your club and and also riding motorcycles and taking care of the community you know that that’s just what we do um so that
Was one of the things I really really had to learn we always consider ourselves or we are the first black Greek organization uh that has a motorcycle club so of divine n um the alphas are the only MC which is the lane we wanted to play in there are two other
Organizations um that actually had a riding club U much respect to them because they out there riding their um and pounding um but the 06 Riders are the only um official motorcycle club so uh a lot of people kind of get it mistaken and think you can just come out here and
Throw 06 Riders on your back and then your motorcycle club no you have to go through a process and you got to go through and get some respect so before you come out here as a Motorcycle Club you need to one um have five you have to
Have five to start a motorcycle for 1 2 3 4 5 right um and then from there you know you go through the process of talking to the dominant in the area you go through the process of possibly wearing soft colors for a while uh you got to design your patch you know
There’s a lot of things that you have to do to become a motorcycle club now once all that is done you still have to get blessed off depending on where you live right you can get blessed off by a dominant and then you’re good to go or
You can get blessed off by a dominant but you still have to go through the uh what they call a counsel in some areas but we on uh September 29th uh 2013 we were blessed off by Wills of soul and uh we actually had to ride out
To them and you got to go on your on tues right you can’t come in a car and think you going to be in the motor no we rolled out there on twos met with them chopped it up they did tell us some things about our patch that we had to
Change but once we did that and uh we were good to go so um that’s how we came up to be uh as a m club and uh we’ve been on the set for now 10 years and we we’re looking to uh to be here for a
Very very long time we we want to kind of do this video for history because even after we’re no longer here or no longer able to ride those 06 riders that come after be like man how did the founders start this what was their vision of how this motorcycle club was
Going to be and I’ll tell you my vision was I thought we was going to grow fast because I thought a lot of Alphas ride but they don’t um and some do but they ride with other motorcycle clubs They Ride independently and some of them just
Ride to be riding uh so again much respect to all them but uh yeah that’s that’s how we became the 06 Riders MC like going through the process and to get respect you got to give respect right and when we first came on the set
I was like we are not having a party for 10 years cuz I didn’t want people to think oh here come another popup club and they going to be here today going tomorrow but that was not what I was about or what I was thinking and I knew
We weren’t about that so for 10 years we didn’t have a party we may had a get together drink a beer smoke a stick and do a little small celebration but this year uh September uh 2023 is our 10 years on the set and we about to go a little bit a
Party so the alpha Roundup so we were a key part in developing the alpha Roundup along with the uh Sphinx writers which is the writing Club um our first Alpha Roundup was in Nashville um our second Alpha Roundup was in Atlanta our third one was in uh
The DMV area our fourth one was in uh Charlotte and then the fifth one was going to be in Tampa but it was cancelled U excuse me not Tampa but uh Miami area um but then we wind up going the next year and then we wind up going
To Houston right after that and then we actually want to go to Milwaukee and the uh the next one is going to be in Cincinnati and then Mississippi after that so basically the alpha Roundup is an event that the group or organization Alpha’s on tws put on uh currently I’m
The president of Alphas on twos and again the alpha Roundup is an event that we put on and you know it’s something to see when you see 100 plus Alphas on motorcycle rolling through your community not just coming there to to party eat and drink but we come in there
And really take care of the community we’ve done Community Service events such as giving out school supplies Feed the Homeless uh women’s shelters just just a whole bunch of community activities and that’s just what we do right and um we have now become an entity and we are now have an established
Board so um I would like to say yeah we were a part of making that happen and uh I’ve been to every Roundup since um and I love it to get with my brothers and ride on another level and break bread and take care of the community and we
Just ride our so when you really look at our um and I get this question a lot like how did you come up with the patch um um what does it mean uh so when you really look at it we almost kind of took bits and pieces of things that we
Already knew about with Alpha again right the pyramid again the Sphinx again 06 and then we took the motorcycles and Incorporated that right and when you look at our back patch you’ll see the Center patch and at the bottom of it you will see the city which is represented
So we were uh charted founded in uh Heen Virginia right uh we’re not just going to put Virginia on the bottom rock or that that’s a noo but the city and the state that we were found it um kind of how we then took the patch cuz yes
Before we you know we were still learning the set early and we were still learning the process early we designed a three-piece patch and then uh our Dominic says no you’re not coming out here with three-piece patch you need to go back and and and re-evaluate and
Revamp it and basically what I said said okay what we’ll do is we’ll put Hern the Virginia at the bottom we’ll put up two pillars um which shows basically it’s growing from hearing and then we put the uh the Center patch and and everything in the patch represents something even
From the black the gold and the silver um but that’s basically how it all came about um different designs have came from that like now we have uh the name 06 RMC with the flames we have the 06 uh with the pyramid um we have a guy
I’m telling you he’s probably one of the best designers I know Stitch comes up with these ideas and these designs and torque he does it I mean it it just it’s crazy how we have a lot of people within our club that are very talented and everybody stays in their Lane and does
What they do and um and and basically develop their strength or work use use their strength I should say um yeah and that’s why I love this club that’s why I I wanted to start this club and that was the vision um of this club tell us you
Know about your first bike you had you know what was your first experience like you what me you sry me um so my my first bike was a 2003 um Yamaha R six um it was it was kind of like my entry level I didn’t really know
What I was doing my buddy had a bike had a Jigster and so um you know I just knew I want to speed I wasn’t I wasn’t old enough to want to Harley at at that point right um and so I got the r six
The r six out grew it right out grew the r six and I think the thing I enjoyed about the bike you know for the most part was just just the freedom right the freedom of being able to kind of be in my own thoughts you know alone at times
Um obviously I like I like the speed of it right and then I graduated to an R1 so that’s kind of what I have now uh 2003 R1 I don’t know I don’t know what it is about that year that that I stick to but I have a 2001 R1 right now and
It’s it’s the same thing a little bit more faster but I think it’s it’s just the freedom of being able to ride you know you know by yourself or with a group um you you everybody’s in sync everybody’s in lock step with each other
Um I kind of just enjoy you know just um you know kind of just kind of get get being able to get away from the world you know doing that time that you’re on a bike right um and you know other people have you know different you know
Reasons but that’s kind of mine cool so what my first bike is a was a 2000 bmwr 1200 RT like a sports Cruiser when I bought it after I bought it someone oh you got the puppy bike yeah that was nice so uh rode that for a little bit
Then we went to start the club and I was like yeah I don’t think proba so so now I ride uh a 2014 Street Light Special Alicia Al um so I’ve been riding for 23 years uh my first bike um was a 1998 Katana Suzuki Katana which was
Known on the street as a katuna cuz it’s not the the the most fanciest bike or whatever but I knew I wanted the motorcycle to ride uh I’ve never taken a motorcycle riding course I’ve never taken you know anything like that I went and bought this katuna or Katana out of
Petersburg Virginia tow it back up here and I was you know at Fort Bel and um you know basically every time I got off work I would go ride in this big parking lot you know learning how to shift when to shift and stuff like that um so that
Was actually my first like Suzuki Katana and and through the course of the years I had many bikes I’ve had the TL jiga tl1000 I had the jiga 750 srad um I’ve had the husa um also had a Suzuki um 800 um and I’ve had so many bikes and
Right now I have a Road Glide we’ll talk more about that so I think the first bike I ever rode was a a dirt bike in the corn fields of Miss with a bunch of my cousins and my mother’s not going to see this right know for years rolled illegally then uh
Shorty and I actually got our uh licenses around the same time and uh the first bike I had was the uh Arnold Schwarzenegger uh Terminator special harl fat boy I love that that bike uh he ended up getting rid of it uh um getting into a
Bigger bike so I also ride a 2014 Harley Street glass special my first bike was a 2010 Suzuki jiger um before then I have never ridden a motorcycle except my brothers in the parking lot and that was just to learn how to shift gears um everybody at nor
State was like hey we getting our motorcycle license they got motorcycle then I pull up and I got a motorcycle I was like so where y motorcycle at cost too much I oh y motorcycle yeah it’s kind of like it’s kind of like you going to do it do it
Big like get a bike right so uh yeah so now I drive now I ride my um 2007 Ninja that I got from my brother also a uh 2003 Honda RC51 rvt 100 I mean 1 SI cool and so you know now you know we have you guys the founders of the 06
Riders NC and you know want the everyone to know how did the club get established you know going back to the the time where it was you know an idea you know then there was you know a little bit of conversation you know how that all take place right here
You know up here Virginia so can we just start with that yeah I uh I’ll start so back in 2006 um I had people started coming to me and asking me that I ever want to join the motorcycle club right and and back then I did but then as you look at
Different clubs you know you be like yeah that doesn’t fit me that’s not really what I want to do um so I was like well shoot why don’t I start my own motorcycle club so it kind of grew into uh I I played in the uh the Epi um
Fantasy flag football fantasy football league and I started naming my flag I mean my fantasy football team the 06 rockers right so that was back in 2006 now over the years I still kept that name so then in 2011 I go nor States homecoming go every
Year and uh I go and run in the S with this was 2011 so again this is now 6 years 5 Years From 2006 so it had been growing and I had been thinking how to make this thing happen so in 2011 I uh say sick man I mean at the
Time I wasn’t sick but said man we need to start our own motorcycle club and he was like let’s do it right so I was like all right well how we going to do this right so again we’re still trying to learn how to start a Mot club and what
To do um so once s was on board I was like all right now I got to find other brothers that ride and I saw that shorty wrote I was like I know you right was like yeah again he had the bie right I was like man I okay it’s a
Motorcycle got two wheels so I was like we need to find you know at least five cuz we had learned in our history or learned in our research you at least need five to start a club and you know order to come out on set if you’re going
To be a MC you got to get what they call Blessed off and we knew we didn’t want to be in the RC Lane nothing wrong with that but that’s just not the lane we wanted to play in so then shorty actually had got in contact with Iceberg
We had actually R cuz that same year 2011 on well his second bie right and my fat boy so that that kind of always came that way and then it was around 2012 we really started getting more traction and it was like all right we going to do
This right well we got to get five and then actually one of our frat brothers U holy field is his Ry name but it’s Eric E uh AKA um I don’t I want to call a joke name but uh I always call him CC Point exter but he actually gave us a
Lot of information on what we needed to do he got us an hey this is who you need to talk to what is you know the the dominant on the set like you just can’t come and pop up which I think some clubs think they can
Pop up on a set Throw Some Cuts on your motorcycle club no you got to go through the whole process so we went through all that and uh so that’s how we transition from in 2006 just me having that vision and starting a own motorcycle club 2011
Talking to SI with then hting up with Shorty I used a lock 2012 momentum came and then in 2013 you know so it took a while and in 2013 uh September 29 officially became mot I’m glad he had the vision because um when he was when
He met me in 2011 when I was at homecoming with my with my uh it’s a lacrosse joint it’s lacrosse vest protection year but I painted it spray painted it black and gold you know what I’m saying with my helmet or the gorilla helmet that I had
And it was funny cuz he was like he was like man let’s start the club and I was like yes ins I was like yes because at the end of the day if I had to think about those guys that was on campus with me i’ never been here
Never cuz just like everybody like yo let’s get let’s everybody get license okay y bike set now still been waiting still been waiting but yeah and know so you know just what Iceberg was saying that he and I were rideing together just going out to R eating just going
Somewhere to whatever and then I knew uh block J like wait don’t got a sport wife and so Hollywood and I met up at F at the Ruby Tuesdays I think and we was sitting down having a beer and he was like yo you startop motorcycle club I’m like
Word I already got the name 06 Riders MC I said wait a minute we need five well I know Iceberg I know lock let me call them and then that’s how it really kind of came all together he knew sick with it so it’s all about who you know
You know uh and we got founded on that just on that 29th of uh September 2000 2013 by going all the way out all the way out to waterl it’s like yo we got to go meet this dude out of the water I’m like what water what yeah we
Got our bikes man you going to come and talk to us I’m like well we got to do what we got to do so we were all there except for Mr Lock that’s how he got his name actually I rode his bike cuz I had just sold the boie
Bight lock y’ was uh what you have your two was it what was it yeah I had a I had a um my w that gotten extracted but then I had a I had a um like abcess or whatever infection his his ass was like
This big yo all of I said man I can’t even put on a helmet right now like all right man well can I borrow your bik we rode out there and met up with the people and did talk and here we are so nice nice nice and so you know as
Alas you know we when we we cross you know become Alphas you know we get an alpha name right but with this motorcycle club you know we we follow the motorcycle you know culture and we all get you know set names so can you w just briefly describe how you got your
Set well well shorty just kind of told you guys how I got my I can you know pass it on to other fellow know that that’s how I got it it was that day he was like oh yeah you know what I remember you not being able
To talk I literally could almost open my mouth and so he and he was like locked y’all that’s exactly how he got I got my name and of course he’s the number two so we incorporated that into the uh the spelling you know that blind number I’m
Five shorty it fits I’m also 6′ something and you know it always works it is what it is yeah mine mine came um because I do a lot of TV show movies commercials um so everybody was you know oh you Hollywood now you all fancy now
That’s was before the name even came but then as people started to gravitate towards a set name right and your set name comes from you doing some stuff on a set or around your Bros whether it could be something good something stupid something crazy or whatever um so you
Just can’t go out there and pick a a set name and it really doesn’t have a meaning to it right um so mine was because again right I was doing a lot of movies and T was in Hollywood and me being a ace my line number one got Incorporated so it basically replaces
The L’s with the one so that’s how basically Halloween came about yeah it’s all the lights and glitter and glamour yeah the lights flashing lights yeah I I I guess Iceberg um I I guess I have a bit of a reputation for two things uh one being slightly opinionated
And two being a little stubborn and icebergs tend to be in movable opes um the other the other part of that is you know an iceberg sits out there in the water and all you see is a tip you never see the rest of what’s underneath the water and initially I was
Pretty chill you know uh kind of Reserve move to the background but I always had something else to bring forth so the the analogy kind of mates you know what you think of as an iceberg except the E become threes because my line name line num so my line name came from Hollywood
My Chapel brother um I am the one with like five or six different motorcycle helmets and all of them have different stain you know what I’m saying and um yeah I like to spr I like to spray paint paint stuff so that’s what he came up
With as far as sick with it you know and um I’m a as well so the eyes are Chang to on and that’s how you get sick with yeah it it was again right he he’s probably been a little bash stuff but he was very when I saw his artistic talent
Right whether it was on the helmet or whatever he designed which you know we’ll talk about the patch later but the um artistic talent that He had I was just sick with that J then it was like yo sick with it and that’s just a crazy thing right like sick with it and
It was just like yo that’s that’s his name right there so um you know we knew I think it was a cc point was kind of gu on me something to Al we’re not talking C but his real name is Holyfield but I just jok when we started calling C corex
Reason go ahead but he was already in a club and had information that we didn’t necessarily have so it was him giving us information as a fraternity brother uh us taking that information and going forward with it so I mean that’s the best way you know to to answer that
Question yeah it was um so again I to understand you you just can’t pop up on the set so he gave us information we took it and r I started making the connections with the the Dominic and uh we we went out there and he was like hey this is what
You need to do this is where you need to meet me and this is what you need to have right so basically we all had to ride out on two you can’t show up in the car talking about you going to be a motorcycle club so we ride out there and um you
Know we show up but this person’s not there yet so you know we all we got blown off whatever know they want to wind up showing up and um you know it was some things that happened that’s funny but we keep that inside with ourselves um but yeah he comes up and
And talks to us um very candid and then I showed him hey I’m I’m excited I was like this is our P this is what we going to come out with this is what we going to do and he looks at me and he said you Ain coming out here on the
Set with a three-piece pack he said you need to go back and change the patch up send it to me and we go from there so now I’m crushed right a little bit cuz I thought like when we left boom and then when I went back I
Automatic changed sent it to him and he was like all you good to go so uh that that’s how it all came about for us to come out on satday we had to be blessed off by Wheels of Soul which was the dominant in that okay have that conversation and you
Know you guys say all right we we now an official motorcycle club you come back to your home you do your live your daily lives and stuff so kind of explain to me or to the to the to the to the to the audience um you know what was the steps
After that what was the actions that you all take you know to maintain a presence on set oh maintain presence on set okay I was going to say right after that we got we got the we went back to Shorty’s house and had a drink that’s we did got the picture I see
You but also too before y before we get into um you know I’m saying what we got to do on set but like like he was saying like it’s a whole different atmosphere you know what I’m saying I’m like I’m I think I’m the youngest one in there
Around about that time and it’s like you can’t just be like hey no bro no it’s almost like Mafia type where you got to curtail all your excitement until you get the okay now is okay for you to shake my hand kind of bit and I was like man you
then when he was like I was like this cuz it’s exciting man like to actually see us you know what I’m saying doing what we wanted to do you know I’m saying being a actual legitimate now recognized being recognized yeah that’s awesome and and I just put this out
There we are the only uh Divine now organization that has their own motorcycle club there are some that have Riding Club and we’re the first seat so then after we got blessed off it was all right you still can’t go out there and fly your colors you still got go soft
Colors right so that’s riding stuff that had Alpha on it or riding stuff that was black and gold until you get that call hey yall goad and fly your RS I had came up with a little bit of concept s brought his little Concept in and then it was actually a three-piece patch
Right yeah us being really fully uneducated about everything we said we know no better we really know no better but that comes with learning that comes with going through child of tribulations and trial and error and uh if you know if you’re looking at this patch here or
The dial here the top Walker originally Center patch and then we even had her Virginia down at the bottom and when they saw that they was like no was like a lot of people come out on set messing up not knowing about maybe a protocol of the patch
Right some would say there’s no such thing as a five piece patch there’s no such thing as this whatever the case may be but they told us to go back and change it and it basically came to basically uh two pieces to the patch top rocker and the Center patch would also
Incorporated the name but the designs came from like I said when I was with SI we would syntax of drawings back and forth should look like this and should look like this and when you really look at it all this stuff incorporates something of alpha whether it be the
Color uh the SPs uh the year 06 which 06 comes from the last two numbers of the year we were founded we were founded in 1906 of course we take 06 and then of course the city would go tomor and but the motorcycles going that’s what we do
So I don’t know if anybody else and so years go by you got this this five you all and now um but before we get to that what was your positions going into that conversation um yeah so so we a couple of us uh started putting bylaws together before we got
Blessed so we were ahead of the game yeah we were ahead of the game I thought hey he’s going to look at our patch he’s going to look at our bylaws and so we got to the section where we enumerated the officers and we kind of said well we
Can’t go in there completely empty we got to figure out something amongst ourselves yeah so our original president uh our original vice president um I’m the original secretary uh our original treasur and our original sergeant in arms and uh that was basically how we started out on
Day one uh by the way the guy who blessed us off he didn’t care anything about those violence and at some point you know you guys are riding around you know they start to see those six Riders and somebody has an interest you know talking you know about that first person
Yeah that was tank yo Lord have mercy you want to talk about excitement man this boy he uh he rode like a like a Jigster or CBR 650 or something some of those 40 or whatever and uh tank is is just uh he’s a fuel tank full of
Tank and uh it took him a minute to get on there because we had our bylaws and our requirements and whatnot I became the prospect manager working this out with uh Hollywood is to what we were doing but funny story about tank is that we rod from here to
Charlotte woo man with a he had a backpack a tank bag and something else strapped to here man and we was going about a 100 miles before we had to pull over and I’m like you good back there I’m got my feet up on the Harley on the
Pigs we going for 9 hours Man 10 hours boy I tell you what he got back and the first thing he did was that didn’t stop him man I think that he gave him his cut down there I mistaken uh and uh it was for that was
The second ride that was the second ride first ride you and I took him down to uh TI yeah that was the one where he we we we had a meet up spot at a certain time we was all supposed to fill up our gas
Tanks then get on the road so we meet up he’s so excited he forgets to fill up his gas 10 minutes later he pulls up next to me points to his gas tank and then points to the exit we’ve been on the road all in 15
Minutes I said this is going to be a long process for so he he had a few things going on in his life and what not uh back and forth back and forth some military duties some Life Changes this that and the third anyway he stuck with it and
Two years later uh he was our first uh initiate which and he also happens to have his last name as young so look up in hisory B about that and one thing like our uh like our fraternity or what I was told of alpha it’s just like our motorcycle club you
Don’t do no recruit you know I’m saying because you don’t want to recruit somebody and then they become a cancer or they’re not what the club embodies just like the fraternity you don’t want to recruit somebody and they turn out to be a cancer to your organization you
Know what I’m saying so if you gravitate towards us you have your periods of where you just hang around to see if this is for you and if we decide if you’re for us kind of thing you know what I’m saying and that’s one thing that I really really really like
As far as us being alphas and the organization you don’t have to recruit and we always get quality men to come into Alpha as well as now motorcycle we’re down near now 25 of I’m not sure right 20 something number between the Herman chapter and the Baltimore chapter so
Yeah me personally I’m glad that you know this simp was established be a part of something that I feel this really great Brotherhood on another level um I know one of the things one of the first events that I participated in I first met wall was the alpar round I missed
The one in Washington and I did make the one in Charlotte so can can you guys just talk about how the alpha round came about so that actually came about um between us and there’s a a writing club called the SPX writing right so couple of members from the Spinx Riders couple
Of members of the um uh 06 Riders who now started to where okay look let’s just create something to where you know all of us can get together and meet here there whatever and this was in Charlotte well in darling it was in daring um um it was actually in
Darlington and we met with a couple of them and they said hey why don’t we create something like this Roundup here which is the the National Breast round up but only just do it for alphs and then they was going to well it actually started why don’t we do a Divine n round
Up like no and then say scale now says hey let’s do the alpha round up and uh just getting a bunch of Brothers together to ride come together collectively and have fun and our first Alpha Roundup was in Nashville and we had uh 27 um Brothers of Alfred that ride you know
So it’s 06 Riders Sphinx Riders and then uh some independent writers and then also other brothers that r with other clubs we met up at Nashville and we was going to do this every other year that there was not a convention but the momentum picked up so much and everybody
Was excited said no we got to do this every year if you you go to the convention you don’t come to the Roundup you just don’t go but we just didn’t want to stop other brothers can not come so that’s how it all started so it went from
Nashville to Atlanta to up here to the DMV then it went to Charlotte and then after Charlotte was actually supposed to go to Miami but then Co stopped so we just bumped it a year still went down there and then to Houston and then uh this year in and we got
What or something like that at the last count I think it was of the last round right at that number so going from 2728 to now registered brothers that ride motorcycles and you know again you know charlot was my first one that’s the first one that you know I just became a
Prospect and I first met first met you there I mean it hasn’t been you know maybe like a day or so before I got the call Hollywood so can you describe like in round of kind of what your what you get from from that yeah so I
Think mean the Roundup tells a lot right because the Roundup pretty Progressive um I think the biggest thing is is that kind of like learn of camaraderie as well as a lot of the history of like you know trying to be like a motorcycle club right it’s always good to kind of I
Think see see see everybody right I think that’s just like a very conveni place to kind of like you know meet you know meet old friends and you know make new ones but I think there’s a lot of learnings too the roundups as well right because a lot of things that they take
And they learn from like a lot of conventions then is also incorporated into the roundups and I think that’s just kind of makes for much more cohesive kind of like you know motorcycle club right because you’re not necessarily just riding to just ride right like you was trying to follow the
Rules right you’re trying to you know follow procedures you’re making sure that every member actually you know knows exactly how to ride um you know you know information those there like very specific detail ESP as you grow that you have to be on top of right so
It’s I think it’s it’s kind of evolved though right you know from from when you know when it first started to kind of like you know things happen now but it’s like and there’s a lot more structure to it and so it’s you know again I just
Think it’s it’s a lot of support um you get to you know you know hang out you know you know drink smoke whatever um party watch watch Hollywood get crazy everything that’s being smoked is legal yeah facts cigars smoke facts um but but yeah but it’s just you know a convention just you
Know specifically yeah I think one other point to to raise about that is that we’ve been able to establish a bit of a blueprint with the alpha BR so yeah we do we do rides in the city we do a ride out of the country there always a
Service project in whatever City that we’re at um and that’s pretty important to us both as you know members fraternity but it’s something we wanted to bring to the alpha round up as well yeah all right so we’re going to go ahead and start wrapping it up and uh so
This question is going to be you know for each of you all U First is describing your own words why I’ll start there so um I’m going tell y for real what I get out of 06 Riders is that this is more like what I envisioned my lineb used to
Be right and um it’s actually the if you ride with somebody at 80 M an hour 16 deep and you got about 3 to 4T of space in between anybody let me tell you what you better trust them mugs with your life and that’s what I I trust these brothers
Here with my life so we have uh really what I get from 06 Riders is Brotherhood on another level yeah I I I’ll give you my my personal take you know we a lot of us are involved in a whole lot of things even outside of the motorcycle set
Whether it’s you know building your own companies uh being part of you know major uh government organizations or companies or you know even what we do with our families or even you know our affiliation with our fraternity you know serving in in in various roles there and
Um you know there’s a there’s an author that always talked about we wear the mask and uh what that typically meant was as a black man you kind of have to put them on a bit of a front or face in any of those organiz whether it’s professional whether it’s
You know any other organization I don’t have to put on a face when I’m rolling with these RS so to me the 06 R the MC represents the safe space that I need keeps my head head on stre yeah yeah I was going to say I think you
Know just just in life right like you always closer to to the people that you’ve been through things with right either family your boys um and I think you I mean just summed it up I mean just he summed it up perfectly right it’s just kind of like
You know you you kind of Envision like I hang on my lbs like I talk to them I love them to death right but I think you know these you know these guys I mean there’s no judgment right you know it’s it’s nothing but love nothing but
Support and to to his point like you know I just think you know you know the I’ve written right like he’s right like you you literally you have to trust the person next to you like you move like everybody think about when you when you pling be online right you you moved
Everything you did with your lb was in sync it’s the same thing just at a completely different high octane right much more dangerous much more dangerous right so to this point you got to trust that individual that dude that that’s in your back and in your front like it’s I
Mean it’s it’s it’s the k you can’t it’s like undes Indescribable right things you can’t put into words but anyway the point is that there’s a lot of support there’s a lot of love there’s no judgment right it’s a lot of you know I could you know just come to the you know
Come to you and like listen this is what I need and you know this individ got your back no questions asked right and so that you don’t you don’t get that even sometimes in families right so so to this point it’s a Brotherhood to another level like he just said family
You know what I’m saying Big Brother hey I need a job Big Brother hey let’s go riding I got something in my mind or just let me talk to you for a minute you know what I’m saying it’s kind of one of those aspects that sometimes you don’t get in
In a blood family blood relations even with your mind brother you know what I’m saying everybody’s got something to do but when these guys and everybody else in the club it’s family that’s all I got say yeah and I’ll just wrap it up to say you know you’ve heard from each one of
The founders basically you know I’m not going to reiterate what they said because I I can say the same thing but for me really back in 2006 when this Vision came these guys came later and saw that same vision and when I knew that the support that I had from them to
Say yeah we got your back to go ahead and push forward to start this club that meant the world right to me to say wow they get it they got they I’m trying to go is and that right there just rid on the just Brotherhood on the L level we’re already
Out is now taking it to another level we ride motorcyc n6 all right so the uh the first alphab B my first evolution of this alphab came to where it was the uh Suzuki Katana right and basically all I did with that bike was got the tank pretty much with
The alpha bra on it and and put it on there um and some Alpha stickers right so that that was pretty much the first Alpha bike and then it started to gain traction as I would go to like homecomings or people would see me around and they were like yo that’s your
Alpha bike I was like yeah and then I was like well you know what you know later on I’m going go ahead and and raise the stands to this and just make it baper so actually that was back in 20 3 2004 well if you fast forward to now
2008 um 2009 I had actually purchased a uh Suzuki 750 sray and so what I did with that one was um I said oh excuse me no it was actually the booster I purchased um so I W up purchasing a a booer high booer
2006 and um it was similar to what I had before like a tl1000 so had that that body look with the T tl1000 had the twins on the back this boost only had one and I said oh yeah I’m going to turn the Boost into Alpha bik so what I did
Was I started taking all these Graphics that you see um of course of alpha right whether it be the Sphinx or whether it be the pyramid whether it be the letters or the numbers and what I did was I kind of copied them and I took it to the guy
That actually wrapped my bike so the bike is actually wrapped it’s not a paint job and I said hey I want this logo here I want this sticker here I want this sticker there whatever whatever whatever so he was like all right I can do that and then he sends me
A digital print of before I put this on the bike this is what you want I said yeah that’s perfect so uh I didn’t know that the booster was going to come out like that right and when I I didn’t I was just surprised and when I walked up
When he had and I was just like I was like okay he outdid himself so then I would take that bike everywhere right homecomings uh around Greek organizations you know just different places and when everybody saw that bike they was just like yo and it’s fire it’s
Hot um so I kept that bike for at least 10 years maybe I I’ve had it for a long time and then I I I said you know what I got to take this bike home meaning to Etha so I took it up to uh to Cornell University I wrote it up there
Um that was 12 hours up in October and then 12 hours coming back and uh I took it up there took it to all the again the address is 411 East State Street 421 North or Street I took it to the university I took it to the brothers up
There so I just took the bike home and then on the way back we got up that morning and it was maybe 35° went on a motorcycle that’s about 25 and we’re riding and I’m freezing I’m getting them on my sports bikes I’m putting my hand behind the tank trying
To keep my hands warm putting it over here trying to keep warm while the other Bros who are now riding Harley’s they comfortable got on cold weather gear and uh soon as I got back to North Carolina I was like that’s it I was like I’m
Going to buy me a uh a back a har um so that was in October and I wound up purchasing the uh the Harley that spring and then I just kept riding the Harley so much that the booster wasn’t getting miles on it right in one year I
Think I put 200 miles on the Boer but I put N9 to 10 on the Harley and then at that time I was like you know what I’m going to go ahead and sell it I wound up selling the booster to abroad in Chicago I haven’t seen it since but not even out
On the set but you know it is what it is um so then I was like all right well I’m going to cre create the third Alpha bike and this is the one that I have now which is the Road Glide um and what I
Wanted to do on this one even though I had it on the booster um I had the jewels on the side seven Jewels but for this one I really wanted to bring it out and put it on the front and put it between two uh you know Egyptian spin
Heads or whatever so I W up doing that in the front and then again I designed it the same way every l and where I wanted it I pretty much placed it myself and just told my guy who again is uh the Carlo with enow Graphics out of
Jacksonville North Carolina I said hey I want this emblem here this emblem here this emblem here this emblem here and he like all right I got it and again I showed up when that bike was done and it was just totally blown away and um yeah everywhere I take that bike people are
Just like yo that is sick it is crazy so I take it everywhere and it’s and I ride it right it’s just not only a show piece um I ride it and uh you know I just want people to see it but I just love it you
Know Alpha’s in my heart so I was like all right I’m about to put this on the bike and uh it displays everywhere I go nice will there ever be another Alpha bike uh yeah I I think with with every bike that I’ve been through that has been an alphabit there’s just different
Evolutions right so the first alphabit just started with a a bra tank with Alpha on in 1906 then the booa started with um you know different logos here and there and and your your bikes look different right the booster looks different than what the party would look
Like um so yeah I think Alpha 4.0 may be coming you know in the future but right now I think they uh Mah Harley which is the alpha bike now 3.0 I think right now that that’s going to be it for now but until I get that vision of what I want
To see next but there will be probably another alphab bite 4.0
